Yukio Takamiya
Name: Joon Age: 17 Gender: Male Race: Human Description: Albino. White short hair, red eyes, pale skin. Likes: Reading, working, adventures, cats. Dislikes: Annoying individuals, children. Personality: Stubborn, curious and an introvert. Joon dislikes people poking their noses into his business, commenting about his looks every so often. Children especially, openly asks him why he looks that way and therefore earns his dislikes. Joon's stubborn personality causes him to be adamant about his own views which no other can persuade otherwise. His curiousity often leads him to pursue the source of it, never giving up until his questions were answered. Short bio: Joon never knew his family. He grew up in an orphanage, suffering the mocks and teases about his looks. Everywhere he went, he was bullied, beaten and had his features made fun of. He was an albino, born without enough pigments in his cells. And the unusual thing were his red eyes, eyes which no other human had. They were the only things which could keep people away from him. Just a glare, and he could have peace to himself. When he turned 16, Joon left the orphanage to create a life for himself. Doing odd jobs here and there to survive, but Joon was oddly happy. Living by himself without anyone to ridicule him, those were the best moments. Opening Post: "Please return this in a month. Thank you and have a nice day," Joon said in a bored tone. The whole day had gone by with him attending to the clients and ignoring their constant stares. This was in a way already normal for him since he grew up being stared at, the stares didn't faze him anymore. Speaking of which, why wasn't the client leaving? Joon followed the lady's gaze down to the little boy who was staring at him. And there we go again. "Why is your hair white Mister?" The expected question has arrived again. Then all Joon had to do was give the usual answer. He gave the boy his meanest glare and said," none of your business." And as usual the boy would start to cry. "His red eyes are scary Mom," was the usual sniffling comment. Then the lady would usher her son out of the library in a frenzy. This usually gave Joon a sense of self satisfaction whenever he succeeded in scaring another kid. His crimson orbs moved again to the opposite direction where he saw two ladies whispering to each other while giving him quick glances. The only difference was that their voices could be heard in the quiet library and they didn't know. "That librarian has white hair," said one. "Yeah. What was that term called again? When someone doesn't have enough pigments in their cells and their hair turns white," said the other. 'It's albino, you brainless hags,' was Joon's reply in his own head. "But then he's not the only one. All the other librarians look different too, they're all so dreamy. It's the reason why I come here so often," the first girl said with a sigh. Joon resisted the urge to roll his eyes. And that brings him to hus current dilemma. One of the reasons why he chose to work in this library was because the other librarians were like him. They looked different from ordinary humans, odd hair and eye colour just like him, though they weren't albino. Joon didn't know why their genes were so odd. All of a sudden, a hand clamped down on his shoulder, shocking him out of his thoughts. Joon turned his head abruptly to see a smiling Dorian gazing down at him. Dorian was one of the librarians in this library. A stunning man with lushious red locks cascading over his shoulders, down his back and eyes the colour of the sea. Joon was almost mesmerized for a moment, staring up at the taller man despite having seen him several other times. "Why the long face Joon?" The older drawled out. "You've got to smile!" He exclaimed, stretching Joon's cheeks so that his lips were curved upwards into a smile. But Joon's eyes remained blank. "So that the clients will feel welcomed." "You could always put me on stock duty, so that they won't see my unwelcoming expression," Joon replied, picking up a feather quill and circling a book title on the parchment, then writing a date of a month later. "Anyways," Dorian suddenly said with a clap of his hands and Joon knew that he was going to change the subject. "When are you going to come with us for that?" Dorian asked. "You can't be slacking off now. The boss isn't happy that many offending vampires are running free." "I have no idea what you're talking about," was Joon's reply. Another weird thing about his fellow librarians was that they had a fetish for mythical creatures called vampires. They went around pretending like they were actual vampires, even talking to each other like vampires. Joon had decided to ignore their delusions and simply go about his own business. Speaking of the boss, Joon had yet to meet him. The other librarians always told him that the boss was sleeping in his coffin located in the private room, and would wake up in two days. And Joon would roll his eyes, choosing not to take them seriously. "I can't be blamed if the head is as crazy as you guys," he replied. Joon had expected the boss to be more mature. But the librarian's conversations led him to think otherwise and that the head was also involved in this silly game of theirs. "And I have no interest in going to wherever you're going," he added. Although the librarians ramble about going to catch vampires, they actually do leave during the night. And come back in the day for work, looking just as beautiful as the day before, no signs of fatigue whatsoever. Joon found it a pity truly. For adults to be so childish, ruining their beautiful image on the outside. "So where is the head librarian?" He asked again, expecting the same absurd answer. Though he was hoping that this time would be different. "Sleeping in his coffin. He'll wake up tomorrow." Sigh.
virtualoo
Name: Ambrose Age: Appears to be 21 Description:(in school library so can't attach the image right now 'dirty images popped up' Long shoulder length hair, emerald green eyes. Gender: Male Race: Vampire Likes: Reading, sweets, cats Dislikes: "Wild" vampires, sour tasting foods Short bio: He does not like to remember much of his origins, making his sole purpose in life to keep the species under close watch and check. The humans cannot find out..yet humans are so interesting in their views on vampires. The perfect cover for all this was the library, keeping the needed 'books' in the archives and merely saying it was staff only to the public. Now he runs the place, keeping a close eye on the humans and likes to think he is the voice of reason. It was another day like any other at the library, people drifting in and out through the library doors. People had come and gone, going about their business as they usually do. Books were checked out, books were returned, it seemed like any other library. Patrons would not know of course what lies beyond the walls they see...Beyond the walls of public eyes, lurking deep within the shelves. Vampires, all neatly categorized and kept imprisoned for breaking the rules. "Well no surprise he isn't smiling, leave the poor kid alone Dorian!" Another librarian laughed, pushing some short black hair out of his bright blue eyes. "You still have to smile a little..curse out everyone with a smile on your face" Morticai laughed, patting his back. "Oh, yes it is about time for him to wake up. I would say he sleeps far too much but he would have my head on a stake if he caught me talking bad about him" Morticai laughed some more as he peered over Joons shoulder. "I like his sense of humor" He spoke, referring to Joon saying he had no idea what they were talking about. "I would loooove for him to say that to Ambroses face!" Morticai smirked, wondering how Joon would react to seeing the head. Meanwhile, Ambrose began to stir ever so slightly in his coffin in the private room, showing signs of soon waking up. The private room was even more closed off when he slept, decorated in a rather upscale and pristine way, each item having its place in the room. While not holding a dark aura, it was certainly colored with dark colors such as blue or red, hinted with a touch of black here and there. "So..how many white hair red eyes comments did you get today?" Morticai asked with a slight smirk on his face again. He found it funny how so many people commented on his hair and eyes, drawing so much focus to him. Everyone had to comments on him if they weren't commenting on the librarians look. "It would be a nice change of pace for humans to comment like that and not just 'Look at them they are so beautiful'. 'Looks graced by the heavens' one woman said..I had to try and not laugh" Morticai shook his head to himself with a small smile. Not that he could complain about being called beautiful but the comments seemed to all be the same. It was still interesting to see humans express their emotions in so many ways..see their lives play out and age ever so slowly until they are nothing. Yukio Takamiya
Joon frowned at the hand that was patting his back, these librarians were a little weird. Cursing people with a smile? He didn't see how that was even possible. Most people thought that Joon was too serious, a little too mature for his age. Which was why he often didn't get jokes or sarcasm. Joon kept his eyes on the parchment before him, but his attention was on Morticai's words. Was the head truly sleeping in a coffin? Somehow hearing the librarians talk about it so realistically made him curious. Then came the stake comment, mostly related to vampire activities. Joon was a little skeptical about whether the boss was truly so terrifying that he had to be described that way. But if so, why would he be involved with this vampire farce? Ambrose. So now the boss had a name. Most of the time, Joon didn't get what his colleagues were talking about. He simply spoke the truth about that, why would the boss get angry? He had no idea what they went out to do at night but they assumed that he did. Getting used to their 'vampire' antics took time too but Joon was annoyed by it. Why couldn't they just live in reality and abandon those delusions and fantasy of theirs Joon suddenly had a sense of uneasiness but dismissed it as his imagination. Still, he was a little nervous for the time when he would meet the head. He had many questions on how the hrad would be like aside from being trapped in the same fantasy as the librarians. Joon cast Morticai a sideway glance before looking back at the parchments. "Was there ever a need to count? I've gotten tired of doing so all my life. I have better things to do than pay attention to what people say about me," he replied. There was no need to answer the librarian's question, because Joon himself didn't know the answer. The comments came so frequently at any time of the day that he had gotten tired of keeping track. "I wouldn't be happy at being called beautiful," Joon commented in disdain. "The attention itself is more than i can take. Besides, most of the patrons here are females. That is enough to.let us know that they are here to see.us rather than having a genuine love for words. I hate those kinds the most." Joon gathered a stack of papers and kept them in the drawer under the desk. He looked around the library and true enough, the clients weren't reading their books. Their eyes were always glued to the librarians in range of their line of sight. Mainly....them. Joon left the librarians at the table and went into the staff area. He passed by the door to the private room, paused, then moved backwards to stand outside the door. Joon stared at the door, curiousity eating at him. According to the librarians, the boss was in here, sleeping in a coffin. He placed his palms on the door and rested his head on it. Was the boss truly in here, for days without coming out? Joon felt a slight presence all of a sudden. He stepped back and stared wide eyed at the door. That brief presence that he, a human had oddly felt, scared him. But curiousity overrode his fear. Joon opened the door and entered the room. The private room was ridiculously huge. White candles with flickering flames stood in corners, on shelves and tables. But the room was still eeriely dim with its black walls and reddish blue themes. Joon's eyes finally landed on the black coffin on the middle of the room. It laid on a three step altar, ornately carved and designed. The coffin was beautiful. According to his colleagues, the boss slept in here. But Joon never expected to really find a coffin in the private room, how would the boss breathe? These librarians were truly too obsessed with vampires. Joon approached the coffin slowly and cautiously, careful not to make a sound. The coffin was like a chest, with hingles on its sides to hold the lid. He slowly lifted the lid of the coffin to reveal a sleeping face. Joon stepped back in a mix of horror and shock. There was a person in there, in fact the most beautiful person out of everyone else. The man in the coffin had skin as pale as his own. His beautiful golden hair framed his face so perfectly, just like the man himself was a painting of the finest quality. Joon couldn't advert his eyes at all from the sleeping figure at all. Just looking at Ambrose's sleeping form, made him want to see his eyes. Joon's hand itched to touch that smooth skin, to trace his finger along that masculine jawline. And what on earth was he just thinking! Joon shook his head violently and turned away so that his back was now facing the sleeping figure. He leant against the coffin trying to catch his breath since he had unknowingly stopped breathing. ((You didn't specify the colour of YC's hair so i put black for the time being. Just tell me the colour if you want it changed and i'll edit the post.)) virtualoo
(Thought i mentioned the hair color, guess not xp sorry, it is blonde hair) "I suppose it is good to be as serious as you are..Keeps everyone bringing their books in. Fear the wrath of Joon if you don't return your books on tiiiiiime!" Mortical teased as he laughed, liking to joke around. It seemed like it was his life goal to get Joon to laugh, or at least crack a smile. "Ah well, It seems I will not get you today. Maybe next time, keep up the good work I guess" Morticai shrugged as he went off into another part of the library, trying to make sure the children were careful with their books. He always had to make sure to keep an eye on mortal children, teaching them how to handle the books with care and compassion. That was a big pet peeve of his..the mistreatment of books. It seemed no librarians saw Joon enter the private room, too preoccupied with their own activities. Ambrose remained in his coffin, having yet to wake up. He had been asleep for quite some time and have yet to be disturbed..he was usually not disturbed. Days..however long is needed..was how long he slept, usually for a few days at a time. It was a demanding job to do what he did, one of the more powerful vampires in the library. Sleeping in general was peaceful because no one would disturb him.. Until now... Ambrose in his slumber felt the presence of another person in his room, the opening of the lid of his night black coffin. He did not know this prescene and did not know why someone would be in the private room. Surely not a mortal or one of his librarians..but then...who was coming into his room? A weight seemed to lean against his coffin so whoever it was..they were leaning against his coffin like a common wall. What on earth were they thinking..? Ambrose opened his eyes to see the back of a white haired young man in his room, this person the one leaning on his coffin. Ah, a vampire..but he had this odd feeling he could not place about the person. "Who are you..?" He asked quietly, sitting up in his coffin. He hated to be disturbed and hoped this was important. He had not met him before and did not know or at least remember his name. "What is your name..?" He asked when the other turned around, looking into those eyes red as human blood. If it was a human, he could read his mind but it must not be..right? This confused him.. --can't edit post so I'll put it here Powers: passive abilities against humans only, combative powers)
Yukio Takamiya
Despite having found the man within the coffin to be breath takingly beautiful, Joon's uneasiness returned. He had always had good intuition and his intuition was telling him that this man was not all he seemed. Joon had a feeling that there was a reason for sleeping in a coffin rather than a bed. But he wasn't about to believe the librarian's crap about all these being a vampire's hibernation. Joon dismissed the uneasiness as something not to worry about and shoved it all the way back into his subconsciousness. And because of this, he failed to realise that the head librarian had awoken and annoyed that someone had leant against his coffin. Joon was jolted from his thoughts by the deepest alluring voice he had ever heard. The voice held power which sent shivers down his spine and Joon let out an unintentional shudder. He turned abruptly to face the boss, hands lifted up beside his head in a surrendering pose, like as if he was a child caught doing something wrong. Joon's eyes were wide open, staring deep into the emerald pools of the head's eyes. He didn't know why he was being so jumpy, totally unlike his personality. But something about this man, about the vibe he gave off, demanded respect. And Joon was getting influenced into bowing his head before the majestic figure, the man's presence was too overpowering to be nonchalant about unlike the other librarians. This man was in a way different from the others as well, other than the presence he gave off. Joon couldn't bring himself to be snappy with this man like he had with his other colleagues. He had difficulty looking away from that hypnotising gaze. Perhaps it was his imagination, but Joon somehow felt like they had a connection. "The new employee," he replied. "I started working last month," he said referring to what he was hired for, not the unknown night time job the librarians always talked about. Let Ambrose decide on whichever job he meant since everyone was so obsessed with vampires. "My name is Joon," he answered the boss. "But i doubt that you would know me, you were 'sleeping', so we didn't have the chance to meet." Joon of course didn't believe that this man had been sleeping for so long. But since everyone acted like vampires all the time, he figured that perhaps the boss would be doing the same. So he just decided to play along for once, since this was their very first meeting and all. Good impressions always count and the head might prefer for him to play along. Joon looked around the spacious room, suddenly feeling very awkward alone with the boss. He remembered Loriella, a female librarian, saying once that the head was a super nice person. She mentioned that although he often puts up a hard mask like Joon himself, he was in fact very easy to get along with. The only people he didn't have mercy on was criminals, otherwise he relationship with the librarians were fairly alright. Currently, Joon found that very hard to believe Loriella's words that the boss was like him. To Joon, the librarians were in a way, friends although he never expressed so. This man seemed so cold. Joon wrecked his head for an excuse to leave. "Um...I apologise for interupting your rest. Dorian said that you were due to awake tomorrow....so uh...closeyoureyesandrestbye," Joon rushed out the last part being unable to take the thick atmosphere. He hurriedl made a quick dash for the door. Sent from my SM-J110G using Tapatalk
virtualoo
Ambrose watched as the person jumped and seemed alarmed at his presence, trying to see into the others mind. He seemed to not be able to read it as he stared back into the others blood red ones in return. He cannot read it so be must be vampire..but he acted like a human. This really was a strange one..He thought as he sat up straight in his coffin, waiting for the others explanation of who he was. He definitely has not met him before..and was not ready to be friendly to the person who so casually came into his room with no regards to what or who was in it. New employee..? Ah then he was a vampire..no human would have gotten hired to work the library. Joon was the boys name..A simple one, not common among people but a name all the same. He seemed casual about referring to his sleeping yet he seemed tense. Ambrose decided he would have to keep a close eye on Joon for awhile like everyone else..to make sure he is doing his job. He better hear good reports about him from the others..He hated slackers. He hated laziness in doing your job..Do it with the best of your ability or leave the job to someone who can. Joon seemed even more nervous now, seeming to tell by his body language he wanted any little excuse to leave that room in that very moment. He rushed out a quick goodbye but he wasn't quite done with the other yet. Ambrose quickly got out of his coffin and went to stop him before he could leave the room, trying to block the exit temporarily. "You really are the..interesting one...Joon" He said, tilting up his chin with his right hand, looking right into the others eyes. "I will be watching you..Now.." He said with a pause, letting go of his chin and stepping out of the room. "Get back to work.." He said in a quiet voice, a smooth gesture going back toward the desk he left from previously. "You..You're up!" Morticai said after having taken care of the books, surprised to see Ambrose up a day before schedule. And with Joon none the less..He wondered how their first meeting went. Joon did seem nervous..Guess Ambrose gave him quite the start at being woken up early probably.
Yukio Takamiya
This man was fast, Joon thought. He had only just taken a few steps and the head was already obstructing the door. It was the first time that Joon had felt so unsure about himself. He was uneasy about taking up a job in this library, uneasy about it's staff and uneasy about this man in front of him. Joon's steps faltered and he stopped running. There was no escape now. The boss's intimidating aura was getting to him and all hr wanted to do was push the man out of the way to make his escape. But Joon knew that it wouldn't work. The head was a lot bigger than him and looked stronger too. Although Joom himself was also considered quite athletic, he had no doubt that he would never be able to be compared with this man. He flinched when Ambrose's hand started towards his face. Though he knew that he wouldn't be beaten or any of that sort, he couldn't help it. His chin was lifted and Joon's gaze met Ambrose's emerald ones. "You aren't the very first one that has told me that," he replied. It was true. Many people said that he was interesting, his looks to be exact. But Joon didn't specify that. "Aye Sir," he muttered out sarcastically and left the private, hoping that his words hadn't been heard. Joon headed back to the service desk and started receiving clients again. Sometimes he wondered if the librarians enjoy seeing him suffer. Despite so many of his protests, they always seemed to assign him the desk job, so that people would always comment about his hair and eyes. Joon restrained himself from lashing out at the lady who was currently asking him how he coloured his hair. 'She's a client Joon, patience is key,' he told himself. After what seemed like a year, dusk finally arrive. Joon stretched his body, relishing the relieving pops of his stiff bones and muscles. He headed to the back of the library where a cart of unsorted books stood. He prepared to pushed the cart, but a certain door caught his eye. The previous time he tried to open this door, it was lock. And as usual, he curious about what laid behind this door. Joon decided to try his luck again in opening the door. He left the cart unattended and went towards the door slowly. He had no idea if what he was doing was wrong but his curiosity got the better of him. This library was so mysterious, Joon wanted to find out all of its secrets. Why its head librarian slept in a coffin, why everyone was so inhumanely beautiful and why the librarians chose to avoid reality. Joon placed a hand on the door knob and turned it slowly. The door opened. Joon stepped back, suddenly feeling a little scared just as he had when he entered the private room. He entered the room, only to be met with shelves and shelves of books. Joon unconsciously let out a sigh of relieve that it wasn't anything to be worried about. He moved deeper into the room, walking along the rows of shelves. The books here were a little weird he realised when he removed one from a shelf. They had no title, the covers were all blank. Joon opened the book to check its contents. But each page only held the image of a door. One page for one door, and the doors were numbered. The bottom of each page also had a name printed. That was all. No pages full of words that described a story. Just numbered doors with names. "Ouch," Joon dropped the book when he received a papercut. A page of the book got stained. Joon felt a sudden rush of wind blow past him and the pages of the book started to flip. He stared at the book until it reached the stained page. The image of the door was starting to fade. "W-what on earth is going on?" Joon whispered more to himself in horror. He watched as a dark portal opened right above the book and a man rose out. Joon took a few steps back. Just what had he gotten himself into? Sent from my SM-J110G using Tapatalk
virtualoo
Ambrose let him pass, watching him as he exited the private room in quite the rush. He wondered why Joon seemed so jittery and so uncomfortable more than anyone who first met him usually was. While his presence can sometimes give him an intimidating aura if they weren't commenting on his looks..Joon was especially jumpy. His librarians seemed to calm and not as startled but this one was an unusual case. He left it alone and went to attending for his usual duties come nightfall.. The librarians went about their usual business throughout the day, keeping everything organized and well attended. They generally left Joon to attend to his own duties at the front desk, each having their own tasks that needed to be accomplished for that day. All of the librarians were working especially hard when word was getting around the library Ambrose had awoken earlier than expected. Everyone wanted to make sure everything was perfect and keep Ambrose in a good mood. They knew he didn't like his sleep ended so soon, not knowing why he had awoken so soon. Ambrose looked out the library's windows and saw that it was finally dusk.. Dusk..His favorite time of day..The time he can be who he was... Ambrose felt something seemed..off. Something did not seem right and he could not place where it was coming from. Ambrose quietly went up the aisles of the library in complete silence, scanning the aisles for any stragglers or pests that might have come into the building while someone was not paying attention. It did not seem it was the case and Ambrose turned his head toward the archives.. Open... Ambrose went right for the ajar door, coming in to see a frightened Joon and an open portal, a stained page of blood and a bloody finger. He couldn't have done that unless..He....was a human? How did a human-This was no time to be thinking about this now, fighting instincts and the instincts of his work kicking into high gear. "Stand back.." He said with a small hiss, fangs bared and he lunged at the man escaping the portal. He was lucky to have brute strength as a power, ready to tackle his escaped convict to the ground in an instant. He was lucky he had strength on his side in such instances, this strength being quite useful in hand to hand combat.
Yukio Takamiya
Joon stood, feet frozen to the tiled floors, not obeying his mind that screamed for them to move. The man, white hair and deep violet eyes floated above the book, then slowly let his feet touch the ground. Joon's legs lost their strength and gave way. His bottom hit the ground with a thud as the man started to come closer. As he came closer, Joon could hear his excited pants and almost missed the drool escaping his lips. "Smells sooooo good," the man spoke. As he said this, his teeth glinted and Joon caught a glimpse of his fangs. So vampires really did existed. Joon couldn't tear his eyes away from the approaching vampire, so beautiful yet so dangerous. His eyes were glued to the vampire's grinning expression as he came closer and closer. Suddenly, the door slammed opened and Joon snapped out of his daze. He mentally berated himself for not realising the danger and trying to get away. That was when the boss came into view, baring his fangs protectively like a cat shielding its young. Joon's eyes widened in shock as they zoomed in on Ambrose's own fangs. Why on earth didn't he believe when the librarians said that they were vampires. It wasn't them who were delusional, it was himself who didn't want to accept reality. Joon shuffled backwards until his back hit one of the shelves. His red eyes darted between the two before deciding that he had to get away. Using the shelf for support, Joon got to his feet and started moving. Ambrose had his back facing him, but the vampire's violet eyes suddenly shifted to look at him. Joon froze in his spot. He wasn't a weak person, in fact, he was stronger than most humans. But Joon had no doubt that the vampire outclassed him in all aspects and one hit would probably kill him. He wasn't even sure how strong Ambrose was and if he would be able to defeat him. "Looks like we have an escaping prisoner," Joon heard Dorian's voice before said man came through the door. Never before had he been so happy to see the librarian. If the situation allowed him to, Joon would have run up to embrace the blood-coloured hair individual. "What blasphemy are you speaking, you buffoon?!" This time it was Loriella's voice. "How could a vampire escape from a prison designed by me?" So the odd books containing imprisoned vampires were all created by her? But at least the others were here, Ambrose wouldn't be alone. Dorian let out a yawn and moved to a nearby couch, flopping down. Loriella followed suit. Joon blinked. Weren't they here to help? And wherr was Morticai? "We've got ourselves a good show to watch," Dorian said with glee, leaning back into the couch. "Try not to kill the guy before you send him back in Boss." Joon's brows furrowed in confusion. Why were they just watching the head fight by himself? The vampire seemingly angered at being looked down upon lunged. virtualoo
Ambrose stood in his protective position in front of Joon, no intention of moving from his position. He was in full battle ready stance, ready to lunge at him at the slightest misstep. One wrong move and their prisoner would be smashed into the ground into oblivion. Once he saw the prisoner was locking eyes with Joon, who was behind him, he knew that their would be no easy way to stop him. This was going to be a full on battle..A rather simple one but a battle none the less. "What did I miss?" Morticai soon followed the other librarians, seeing an escaped prisoner come out of the book. "Oh awesome, I get to see the boss fight. Was not expecting one today..makes it all the more exciting" He smiled to himself as he looked for a comfortable seat. "I am surprised the prisoner managed to escape..Your books are pretty tightly wound on the prisoners to prevent such an escape" Morticai looked over to Lorietta with an innocent confused expression. Her books were the best...How did one manage to get out? Ambrose was focused on the fight, not making remarks toward the comments aimed toward him. All he did was simply nod in some recognition that he was in fact listening. The prisoner made the fatal mistake of trying to lunge at him, easily dodging with a smirk. "You shouldn't have done that...." Ambrose spoke in a quiet voice before he went deadly silent, a forming look on his face showed what seemed to be an intense concentration. Ambroses eyes locked with his "target" and the air seemed tense now, Morticai watching in awe. It seemed as if the shadows themselves and the darkness was coming off the walls, closing in on the escapee. They...It...took a firm grasp of the prisoners body, flinging them around as if it was a dogs chew toy. Now the darkness around the prisoner got more concentrated as it seemed to form a chain or binding around the vampires body. With a steady smooth gesture of his hand, Ambrose guided the prisoner encased in darkness to the book laying on the floor. "Go back where you came from.." He spoke at last as the darkness seemed to shove him into the book as if pressing hard down into the pages. Once all was said and done, Ambrose walked over to the book and looked down at it. "Expected more of a challenge.." He said with a sigh, closing the book and putting it back on its proper shelf. No time was needed, as if he knew every books proper place by heart. "The question remains of how you..." Ambrose said as he walked over to Joon "..managed to open one of Loriettas books". "I suppose Morticai will want me to ask..Are you all right..?" Ambrose asked as he seemed to calm more from his fighting mentality. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
Yukio Takamiya
Strong. That term flashed through Joon's mind as he watched Ambrose defeat the vampire. The vampire was outclassed entirely. The shadows that moved past the walls and onto the floor, Joon had never seen shadows move like that. The objects hadn't moved from their positions but the shadows were moving. Joon jumped when the shadow of a shelf passed over his arm. He stared at the area where the shadow had touched, so so cold. He watched as the shadows seize the vampire, dragging him to the book and returning him to his rightful prison. They seemed like they were practically stomping him into the pages of the book. Joon hadn't even realised how much he was shaking, until Ambrose had returned the book. Those books were dangerous, he had to think twice about ever entering this room in future. If he survived what the librarians had in store for him that is. "Uhh... I don't really know," he replied, licking his dry lips. His finger stung especially since the cut was a rather deep one. Joon avoided Ambrose's gaze, looking around for anywhere he could escape to as the head librarian came closer. Just how on earth did he get himself into this situation? If only he had minded his own business and went about his own duties. If only he wasn't a curious person by nature, he wouldn't have known about vampires at all. "Uhh... I've still got duties to attend to," he said meekly and made a dash for the door. But Dorian was already blocking the entrance, Joon cursed aloud. Loriella too had stood up, she brandished a long whip in her hand, snapping them right in front of Joon. "This ain't no ordinary whip Joon," she purred. "Hurry up and spit it out. Why did you pretend to be a vampire and come here?" She was of course not going to really hurt him, she couldn't bear to. Joon had long been apart of their family but they had to know his purpose. Had to know why she couldn't see his past and why Dorian couldn't hypnotise him. It was rather clear right now that the boy was human but their abilities didn't work on him just like they couldn't work on a vampire. Which was why they mistook him as one of them. "Pretend to be a vampire?" Joon questioned and turned a glare on Loriella. "You people were the ones who thought I was one. And I just assumed that you were all deranged with the vampire crap!" He exclaimed angrily. "Go on," he said, crossing his arms and closing his eyes. "If you need to silence me, go ahead and kill me. I'm not afraid." As he said this, Joon's features became more tense as he braced himself for his upcoming death. Sent from my SM-J110G using Tapatalk
virtualoo
Morticai stood by the entrance as Dorian locked it, ready to attack in a moments notice. So he was human..No wonder he could not charm him..or Loriella see his past..or Dorian even hypnotize him. He had assumed he was a vampire from the beginning that he was a vampire for this very reason but..a human? How was a human able to withstand all of their powers with what seemed to be no effort at all? Morticai grew to know the guy and yet now he felt like he knew nothing about him. Should he feel hurt? Betrayed? How was he supposed to feel? Ambrose was watching this all play out in front of him, curious of the development folding out in front of him. A human managed to get past all of his librarians and, unknowingly, masquerade as a vampire. And, to top it all off, Joon thought..they were deranged. He watched as the human closed his eyes, awaiting an impending death sentence. Ready to throw his life away to be silenced at finding out their 'secret'.. Ambroses face contorted into a small smirk, a light chuckle escaping his lips. Morticai was surprised to see the other laugh like this, not sure what scared him more at the moment. "You really are an interesting person aren't you..?" He said in a low voice, tilting up his chin with a single finger. "To waste such an interesting person would be quite a shame.." He said, letting go as he ran his finger through a stray piece of the others hair, setting it back in place. "Something about you..Not knowing what it is really peaks my interests.." Ambrose said before standing up. "It also irritates me to not know something.." He said before looking at the books. "Now..please do something about the cut before I must deal with anymore prisoners escaping.." He waved his hand as he went to find a bandage. "Thats it?! No big fight, no...anything? Leave things just like that..?" Morticai asked very confused at Ambroses behavior. He was supposed to be this scary no mercy guy..and he is letting a human who had joined their midst off scott free? "Is he...feeling okay?" He asked the other two.
Yukio Takamiya
Joon stood there awaiting the impending death that would soon approach. He braced himself for the excruciating pain that would come with being killed. Terrified as he was, he wouldn't be able to escape his fate nor the vampires before him now. However, nothing seemed to be happening. The deep chuckle of Ambrose made him peek open an eye only to see said man approaching him. His chin was lifted and his hair was touched. Joon jerked his head away from Ambrose's hand, making the stray piece of hair sway back to its initial position. He was surprised, and slightly displeased that the vampire seemed to be mockinh him. Whatever Ambrose found interesting about him, Joon hoped he lost interest soon. He had no desire to be their jester, entertaining them whenever they feel like it. When Ambrose finally left his side, Joon gave Morticai a little glare. The way he spoke made it seem like letting Joon go wasn't a good idea. He took this moment to push past Dorian and leave the room, not waiting for Ambrose to come back with the bandage. "My shift is over, i'll be coming back with my letter of resignation tomorrow," he said on the way out. There was no way he wanted to continue working here. The pay may be good and he may need the money, but it wasn't worth risking his life for. Joon headed back to the staff loungue and started grabbing his stuff quickly. I am so sorry! I don't remember exactly what I typed so it will be a shorter one than the original While Ambrose was gone, Morticai watched as Joon gave him the most evil glare he had even seen on him. "Joon..No.." Morticai said, looking to the others for some kind of help in trying to stop him. He didn't mean it like he said..He expected Ambrose to be angry, to fight him for being able to join their midst as a human. But Ambrose hadn't done anything...not a single thing. "Someone...what do we do?" Morticai asked, not sure whether he should chase down the other and try to stop him. Ambrose had started to return to where the others were currently, bandage and some medicine to prevent any possible infections to the wound. "Joon, this should-wait...where had he gone?" He asked in a curious tone of voice. Morticai bit his lip, not wanting to say anything and looking to anyone else to help or break the bad news to him. He did not want to be the one to tell Ambrose Joon was planning on leaving that very moment..
