I see a lot of people complaining about that, but idk, this stuff is just how I like it: dark, messy, but pretty. Honestly, these kinds of dynamics--more often than not--are my thing. shibahi Posted June 28, 2016 Share Posted June 28, 2016 The novel, but in the Vietnamese language Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. i finally have time to read this and went in one go to chap 75. some spoilers and thoughts so far: basically, these two characters are involved in a torturous relationship that started from sweet first love in their teens, to painful love in their 20s, to vengeful love in their 40s at my current chapter. and it seems likely that they will continue to torture each other into their 80s as i keep reading :/ i already know of the author's nickname "stepmother of ukes" bc she loves making the ukes suffer under the mental torture skills of her semes (check out uncontrolled love for further examples lol...). but uh, i was not ready for lu feng. at the age of 18 he made moves on 14 yo yichen (we later find that he has actually liked yichen since yichen was 11...lord). yichen suffers through all sorts of manipulation, violence, possessiveness, temper explosion that only seems to get worse as lu feng ages, but they still cant let go of each other bc of that first love...their relationship is a massive trainwreck that you cant look away from lol i am wondering how the film is going to water down lu feng (they changed the ages which is necessary bc who is gonna let that shit go down on screen...). from the pictures, i thought lu feng's actor looks more kind and calm, but then i heard the author said on her weibo that she watched one of his scenes and even she had to admitted its "perverted", so i'm really looking forward to his performance lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
