WolfDog12
Izuki was completely lost when it came to what Inmai was writing. It was almost as if the translating wasn't working right and his master was just making strange sounds. The human stared at him for a long while just trying to wrap his head around what was happening. First the symbols were written in an order and then grouped. This language was completely different from any human language in existence... How was he suppose to learn this? Still, Izuki kept trying to wrap his brain around it all until he remembered that Inmai had afternoon classes today. "Wait, Inmai, you have class in less than 10 minutes. You have to get ready to go!!!" Izuki had completely forgotten all about what happened and that he really didn't want his master to go. Now he had his brain focusing on the symbols for reading and everything else just became a blur. "Don't worry, I'll just hang here and continue trying to figure this out. For now you should hurry and go!!" The little human was practically pushing his master out the door. Izuki turned back to the symbols and pulled out one of the children's books and began to match the symbols and tried to learn how to read in the oddest and most unconventional way. While Inmai was gone, One of the demons did return, pissed that the human was holed up in his room and after what Inmai had done kicking his ass. Izuki looked up and dropped his pencil. He stood up and back himself all the way in front of the window. It was the demon with the extending claws that did the most damage to him. Just as he lunged, Izuki managed not to freeze up and ducked just in time for the demon to go head first into the window that burned his face. While he was wriggling in pain, the human sprinted away with everything he had running out of the room and down the hall. Since he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, he crashed into something fuzzy. When he looked up, Izuki notice that he was clinging to Inmai's friend's familiar, the sky weasel. "Help me...." He managed, panting from sprinting. "Where's.... Inmai...." Izuki nearly passed out as he clung desperately to the fuzzy familiar. Noise Prince
Inmai tried to explain things the best he could, but he could tell Izuki was pretty confused by these strange symbols he scrawled onto the page. It might take more than one session for him to be able to study them on his own. That wasn't too bad, they would be spending a lot of time together anyway, now it would just be focused on getting him to understand the alphabet here. The symbols wouldn't be too hard for him to learn once he got the rhythm of their written language. The groups were more than structurally similar, as Izuki would learn. "Alright, so we'll just focus on this here," Inmai started, pointing to the first group. "So this here i-" Izuki interrupted him, and Inmai jolted. He had completely forgotten that he had said that he'd go to class if Izuki wanted him to, since he had prepared to stay with him again today. He hurriedly pulled his things together as his pet furiously pushed him out the door. He was surprised Izuki had remembered his schedule, though. He really was quite observant, all things considered. Inmai was taking this as a sign that Izuki really was doing better, or at least was at a point where he craved to be alone for a while. The fresh air felt pretty good, now that he was a bit more relieved about Izuki's state of being. It was weird going back to the university after ebing absent for what felt like forever. Inmai didn't feel like so much time had passed when he was in the room, but now it felt like years had passed. Ashtena squeaked in surprised when a sudden force crashed into her. She didn't like being in the hallways much, too cramped, too close to people. She preferred being around Yornin's neck so he could keep others from touching her. But since the halls seemed empty she went ahead of him, in her excitement for the afternoon outing. The sky weasel hissed, squealing as he gripped her, before she dissolved into water and slipped from his grasp. "Ashy!" Yornin cried out when he caught up, turning the corner and seeing the bizarre scene of a human panicking while gripping at floating water. He had ears her crying out and thought something bad had happened to her. He seemed to be at Izuki's side in an instant, holding him up by wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "I..izuki, right? You've lost Inmai?" He asked him. It wasn't like Inmai to let his pet wander without knowing its whereabouts.
WolfDog12
The human was startled when Ashtena suddenly turned into a floating body of water and backed away slightly trying to get his head around what was happening but his adrenaline wasn't letting him think rationally. He reached out for the water for a moment in his panic but was interrupted when his shoulders were touched. Looks like Izuki didn't put it in the right terms and started to really worry whether or not he was doing the right thing at all. "N-No... Not like that.... I didn't lose him... Inmai went to class and I was alone... then he showed up and attacked again...." Now he was probably not making any sense until the demon came around the corner face burned from the window and he glared and let out a growl towards the human who jumped and hid behind Yornin. "Please.... Where is Inmai..." He gripped tightly to the demon in front of him but all he wanted was his master. Izuki had to be the most useless familiar in existence. The demon with the claws drew closer and closer keeping his sights on revenge against the cowering human. He growled and groaned from the pain but everything else inside him was all about the revenge he sought. Izuki on the other hand was ready to pass out in fear as he stared at the demon that raped him and was now just trying to kill him. Humans had no power in this world... Izuki couldn't even make his punches hurt.... "P-Please don't let him get me.... Not again....." he pleaded in a small voice.
Noise Prince
Izuki really was small, Yornin realized, not just in stature, but he felt fragile, too. Yornin was struggling to follow what he was saying, gasping for air in panicked gulps as he spoke, but it was a little easier to decipher when a furious looking demon turned the corner after them, his eyes fixated on the human familiar, before Izuki jumped behind him. Yornin, unlike Inmai, didn't have to question whether or not he could take him on and protect Izuki. He held his head high, waiting to see if he'd actually approach them now that Izuki wasn't by himself. "Stay calm, little one, no one's going to hurt you today," Yornin promised him softly. Ashtena hid behind Yornin as well, alongside Izuki, softly nuzzling him, , after calming down, she could sense the tension.
WolfDog12
If it had been earlier, the demon probably would have walked away but now he was even more pissed than before and continued to move forward even after Yornin stood between him and the human. Izuki was scared and held onto Ashtena so to not hold Inmai's friend back. While he felt bad for having someone else fight his battles again, the human had no choice and he was too scared not to beg for help from someone that could fight. The demon grew out its claws to a truly terrifying size but paused in order to talk. "Yornin! I understand that Inmai is your friend but give me that human. I have to make it pay for burning my face like that. That human is nothing but trouble and honestly, this whole school would be better off if that thing was killed or at least locked up like the slave that it is. After all, humans were brought to this world not to be familiars but to be sex slaves and that one is no exception!" The demon had a couple classes with Yornin so of course it would know his name while at the same time, the demon was showing it wasn't about to back down and wanted to see Izuki subdued or killed. Noise Prince
Yornin kept still and calm, unblinking at his classmate's unbridled rage. He had always been known for his temper, and rushing too quickly into violent acts. Despite frequently getting into fights, it seemed he never got better, since even Inmai was able to best him and his friends. He should know that starting something with Yornin would not go well. Yornin flinched a little as he watched the other extend his claws so they almost reached the floor. "I believe our professors made it quite clear that we are each responsible for our own familiars. You don't need to make anyone 'pay' here. That decision is Inmai's," Reason probably wouldn't work, which is why Yornin's voice had a soft, almost song-like quality to it. Izumi would be witnessing for the first time someone's use of sound magic. And lucky for him, Yornin was quite proficient at it. Which is why he hoped to soothe the beast before them without having to get violent.
WolfDog12
"What the hell do you know?! That thing shouldn't even be a familiar and even you should know that. I'd probably be doing that stupid Inmai a favor by killing that weak creature behind you. Clearly Inmai has no idea how to train it or what the real purpose a human is. You may be his friend but you have no right to protect that" the demon motioned towards Izuki a number of times as he didn't call him by a name or even refer to him as a gender. As far as he was concerned, humans were less than dirt. They were slaves for sex and that was it. They should be chained to a bed and left there, legs spread for their masters. "Come on, you can't say that after you save it you're not going to ask for a fuck before returning it to its owner." Of course, the demon did not back off. In fact his anger flared at Yornin's refusal to hand over the human. Without even thinking about the kind of magic the other specialized in, the demon lunged forward scratching the wall as he ran forward in an attempted to claw Yornin out of the way, eyes red with rage. The demon took a swing but before it could even touch the other, he was hit by the sound magic. It made him dizzy and unstable. All his senses seemed to just stop working. Noise Prince
Yornin stood patiently, hoping that the other demon was just looking for an outlet for his anger and rage and would wear himself out and calm down, dropping this nonsense. He sure lathered himself into a virtually nonsensical rant. To Yornin, he naturally saw no true purpose for humans, as there wasn't a true purpose for demons to exist, so to assign one was ridiculous, as was declaring protecting someone a right- one he didn't have. Yornin had difficulty really understanding how others perceived the world and got something differently from what he did, but he'd also known better than to say anything about it, the more he saw he was more often than not in the minority. The fact that an alarming number of demons saw Izuki as an available plaything was a striking reminder of that. Yornin moved his lips, letting out a slow hum, creating sound vibrations so low, the waves so wide and tall, that when the demon lunged towards him to swipe, he hit a wall. Striking through his entire body, and Yornin could see how it moved through him, his loss of sensibilities, his eyes when unfocused, he stumbled, his sense of balance betraying him. "Sex with humans is disgusting," Yornin stated darkly, though his expression was as calm as ever. "Those who perform such acts are the scourge of Hell. Don't ever insinuate that about me again,"
WolfDog12
The demon lost all his strength due to the sound magic and after, fell flat on his face. The demon was completely disoriented and remained where he was for a while. Izuki on the other hand was now growing scared if Yornin... especially after hearing what he just said about humans. It wasn't like Izuki chose to be raped, nor was he a denon wanting to have sex with a human so maybe the idea of him being rather useless except for sex could be over looked. "Th-thank you for saving me..." He spoke rather quietly. The human carefully moved away from Ashtena and stood there on his own, only now realizing just what terrible shape he was in. His clothes were huge and tied to him, his hair was practically matted and the male probably smelled of sweat and dirt, strength in the human scent all over him. "Sorry for bothering you. I'm not sure where Inmai is so I should probably just... head back to the room... and wait for him." Izuki looked down at the unconscious demon on the ground. What would he do if he suddenly woke up? The thought sent a shiver down his spine and he took a tiny step back. It was then that Izuki realized, Yornin probably had no idea that the human had been raped a couple days before. It was fairly obvious when one thought about it and with everything that happened... His appearance, the demon attack, and Inmai's absences recently. What would Yornin say or do next? Izuki wanted to run. "I don't know what to do...." He spoke to himself wrapping his arms around his stomach and staring at the ground. He was shaking again. Man was he different from the first time he and Yornin met.
Noise Prince
Yornin sighed with relief. He wasn't pleased to have to do it, but his hand was pushed, and felt satisfied with the results. Ashtena chirped excitedly. Yornin turned to look to Izuki, and smiled softly. "You don't need to thank me, it's the right thing to do. After all, you're very important to my best friend." The taller assured him. He still seemed so shaken up, an he looked pretty awful. He didn't think Inmai would be irresponsible with Izuki, but he looked like it's been a while since he's been bathed. Maybe Izuki was just resisting, though. When they first met he seemed very feisty, very different from the human before him now, so maybe he fought Inmai on having to go to the showers. Still, hadn't Inmai ever heard of a cat bath? A bit of soap and a damp washcloth could really help. Yornin wasn't sure where Inmai was either, presumably in class, but he didn't remember which one it was. But he also didn't think it was a good idea to just leave Izuki alone after this. He shook his head and again offered a smile. "Why don't you come back with me, to my room? Until Inmai gets back?" He stepped closer towards him when he so diminutively held himself. He had started shaking, too. "Hey, now, it's okay, it's okay, right?" He assured him. "I'll keep you safe, and you can wash up a little, if you'd like,"
WolfDog12
Izuki was happy to hear how kind Yornin was when it came to the human and his best friend. Still, even that didn't seem to be enough to calm his shaking nerves. Thankfully, even though Izuki wanted to run away as fast as he could and hopefully find a safe place to hide away from everyone, Yornin didn't seem to want to let him do just that. The kind, and tall demon seemed determined to keep the human safe until his master returned from class. There was just one problem with that... "How will Inmai know I'm there?" he asked, now starting to glance up a little. "I can't writing in this language yet... Would a note even work? What if one of those demons find it first?" Izuki quickly shut his mouth realizing that he was going a bit overboard with the rambling. Still, it was hard not to be worried when he wouldn't be back where his master left him. "I don't want to go back... not without Inmai..." He admitted. That room wasn't safe for him, not without a lock or any other form of protection... Not that it did a whole lot to keep him safe the first time around. Izuki finally managed to agree to go with Yornin to his room where at least he probably wouldn't be found so easily. The small human only wanted to cry. Everything that happened to him.... It was more traumatizing than he expected.... Though, that was probably just the reality of how weak he was and that for most demons, that was socially acceptable. At least on Earth these scumbags would be locked away for what they did and Izuki would have the chance to move on... Could anyone even do something like that to demons? He certainly didn't know. "Sorry for all the trouble," Izuki said with a bow. That might seem weird here but at least he was using the manners he had been taught at home. Noise Prince
Yornin hadn't expected Izuki to be immediately calm and collected, of course, just because the immediate threat had been taken care of, so he was prepared to be gentle and patient with the shaking familiar now. Yornin smiled in response to his frantic rambling. "That's fine… I'll leave him the note," He assured him. He doubted it would be an issue if one of the unconscious guy's friends found the note, they would have no reason to tamper with it, and even if they did, it was just paper. And any resulting confusion would be easy enough to clear up later. He was pleased that Izuki agreed to go back into his room with him. "It's no trouble at all," Yornin corrected him, lightly patting his head, amused at the strange gesture. He was just a floor higher, so after Yornin wrote a quick note for his friend, it wasn't a long walk to get there. Despite being the same size, having a similar layout and furniture, Yornin's room looked quite different from the one Izuki had been staying in. It was neater than Inmai's room, but also had more decorative things. And a few instruments, only one that would be familiar to Izuki- a violin. There was an aquarium that Ashtena quickly placed herself into, relaxing herself in a half-dissolved state with her plastic decorations. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable where you'd like." Yornin told him. "Do you want a snack? What do humans eat?" He hoped he didn't have a specialized diet, he felt bad for offering since he wasn't sure if he could actually give him something. WolfDog12
Yornin was so kind to the human... It was always nice to know that there were demons in this world that didn't hate him for being human and actually treated him well. Of course, most of them seemed content on treating him like a pet which, after seeing how they treat their pets, he didn't seem to mind. After all, Inmai already called him a cat and Izuki agreed to be one. They walked and left a note for the familiar's master and the human, demon, as well as the sky weasel, all went to Yornin's room which was just up stairs. He walked in and looked around. The place was decorated unlike Inmai's and it was also a hell of a lot cleaner... Izuki almost felt guilty coming in here. Still, he walked in and watched Ashtena basically dissolve into the aquarium tank. That was quite strange. The human even admired the instruments, though only one of them looking like one they had on earth... The others were just strange. "Thanks for having me..." Izuki said as he glanced around trying to figure out where he should sit. "I'm not that hungry, thanks... I ate this morning," he explained though most of it was because he had a loss of appetite again due to his nerves. "Also, you're probably worried I have a special diet but I haven't found anything I can't eat yet," he explained with a forced smile. Izuki found an empty section of wall and sat down to lean against it. The room was quite crowded and the human was afraid to knock anything over. Really, he just wanted to bathe and maybe sleep some more. Though, he also didn't want to have another nightmare. The human shivered and pulled his knees up to his chest and he just quietly sat there.
Noise Prince
"Of course, Izuki," Yornin told him, finding it rather sweet that he was so polite now with him. He was sure he must be very different with Inmai. "You're always welcome here, if you ever need a place to go." The tall demon added assuredly. He felt a little bad that he hadn't reached out before. Inmai wasn't very specific, but Yornin could piece together an answer from the clues, he had an understanding of what happened to Izuki. He should have offered to let Izuki stay at his place when Inmai had to leave, so Inmai actually could. Yornin was prone to panicked nightmares, and could cause some serious damage if he yelled out, using sound magic. So he not only had a special spell on his bed, but also around his entire room, so that it was impossible for sound and people alike to get in and out without his permission. Izuki would be much safer here, and the demon wouldn't have chased him out to the hall just now. But at least he could offer it now. "That's good to know," Yornin replied, smiling with relief. "Of course, if you had to eat special foods, y you would probably still be starving. If anything specialty regarding humans would be obtained, it'd be by contacting a city supplier, and that could take a while to process. Then there might be complications, due to the controversy of various laws popping in and out," He turned and saw that Izuki had sat, his knees to his chest, and frowned. "Are you sure you don't want something light? Some warm broth might calm your nerves," Yornin suggested gently.
WolfDog12
"I-I'm alright, really... I don't want to put you out anymore." Izuki felt bad for what he was doing but also understood that there was nothing he could do about it right now. He really didn't want to eat and really just wanted to bathe and try and get some more sleep. Hopefully the nightmares didn't continue to get worse.. That would be horrible. He was so tired but he was now thinking about what Yornin said about the food supplies. He probably wouldn't be doing as well if it wasn't for him being able to eat the food here... Heck, he even found something that he really liked. The human looked up and could tell right away that the demon was really worried about him. "I'll be alright... I just hope that Inmai comes soon so I can shower..." he said trying to joke but sounded more on the sad side than anything else. Damn, maybe he was more pitiful than this world anticipated. Izuki closed his eyes for a moment only to open them after a couple minutes thinking about the demons that raped him. That was nearly two days ago and it was still haunting him... Though, he also had no idea how long it would take for him to recover fully. "Why do demons think it's ok to attack humans?" he asked in a near whisper as if he didn't actually want Yornin to hear, though he probably did hear. Izuki seemed so much more reserved than last time, that's for sure.
Noise Prince
"It's really no trouble," Yornin assured him. "I'm not put your at all." Actually, as affectionate as Ashtena could be, she was pretty independent, and didn't like a whole lot of fuss, so it was kind of nice to have someone he actually felt he was taking care of, rather than just providing for. Izuki's polite refusal was actually a little endearing, too. Of course, he was also only experiencing a small slice, he didn't know if it was as endearing when you were responsible for him 24/7, as Inmai was. "Inmai won't have class forever," Yornin promised. "He'll be here before you know it," He assured the human. He could tell how hurt he was feeling now, even as he tried to pass it as a joke. Izuki seemed to be as fragile as he looked. He kind of wanted to pet him, to console him. But it didn't seem like Izuki wanted anything but his master right now. "It's not the same, but you could wash up a little in my sink. For whatever reason, this floor has larger sinks, so it would be easier than using Inmai's smaller one." Yornin offered, hoping he had something Izuki would take and have it make him feel a little better.
WolfDog12
"Thank you, I'd like that," he admitted. A sink wasn't much but he could give himself a sponge bath and could probably even wash his hair so he wouldn't be dirty anymore. The human walked over to the sink and once again needed help turning it on but he took off the huge sweatshirt he was wearing and washed himself down, making sure to clean his hair as well. Izuki wasn't particularly comfortable with taking his pants off around another demon. He knew Yornin wouldn't do anything but he still couldn't bring himself to do it. Izuki was able to finish quickly and felt a lot better after a little wash up. "I wanted to apologize for my attitude up till now..." the human began. "I never realized just how pathetic and useless I was until... well I got a demonstration..." that was as far as he could manage to tell. Yornin was smart, he probably understood what happened anyway. Izuki's wet hair stuck to his face and he looked up at the other. "You really have been a huge help," he said managing a smile. Something as simple as being able to wash his hair really made him feel a lot better.
Noise Prince
Yornin smiled and nodded, pointing to the bathroom doorway. "It's through there. There's washcloths and towels under the sink in a basket. Help yourself, to anything in there," He told him with a relieved smile. He was glad that there was something here for Izuki. He followed him in, since he figured he wouldn't have a means to turn the water on himself, and left him to take care of it on his own, to let him have as much privacy as possible. Izuki made quick work once he had the water, wiping down his upper body and even washing his hair. Yorning refilled Ahtena's food bowl in the meantime, until Izuki was done. His hair was still wet when he came out, which let Yornin know that he had washed his hair. Yornin liked stronger scented soaps and shampoos, so he could smell the difference in how fresh and washed he was. He didn't exactly have any odor before, maybe humans didn't stink- but Yornin wondered if Inmai would take issue, since he liked neutral scents more. He wouldn't worry about it, though. "Hey, now, you don't need to apologize for anything," Yornin told him. He looked like a small creature that had gotten stuck in the rain. Yorning wanted to wrap him up tightly in a towel, he looked so cute and helpless. But he didn't think it would be the wisest thing to suddenly reach out and grab him. The poor thing... The demon world really wasn't kind to humans. "There's no such thing as being useful for everything, that's why demons have familiars in the first place. Rely on us, and we rely on you. That's our contract. So don't feel bad about needing to be taken care of, that's the responsibility we all accept," Suddenly, there was a harsh knock on the door. "Yornin! Izuki! You there?" Inmai's voice bellowed out, though muffled by the sealing spell to the point of almost being inaudible. Yornin chuckled a little, and held a finger up to Izuki, idnicating he wait a moment, and he opened the door, barely avoiding a collision with Inmai when he ran it the moment the door gave. "Izuki, what happened?" He asked, he was red in the face, his breathing harsh, as if he bolted straight up here, which is exactly what he did. He was absolutely horrified- that when he finally had to leave Izuki alone, that the door was open, Izuki was gone, and there was just a note, he didn't know what to think. he could barely get his eyes to focus on the note long enough to realize it was from Yornin. He definitely regretted going to get a more powerful locking seal on his way home, when Izuki had been in danger. Yornin didn't go into specifics in his letter, but it was enough for Inmai to assume what happened.
WolfDog12
Izuki wanted to ask what it was that a human could do to help out a demon, but, when he opened his mouth, he was stopped but the loud knocking on the door. A bit startled, the human looked back nervously but recognized the voice immediately. "Inmai!" He breathed. He wanted to run over but was stopped when Yornin clearly showed that he wait a moment. The human stayed put but when he saw his master rush through the door, red-faced and panting from sprinting, it was hard to hold back and Izuki hugged Inmai. "One of the demons, the one that put that huge claw mark across my chest, he broke into the room right after you left!!! I ran away and he chased me until I ran into Yornin... He continued to try and get me but Yornin used sound magic and knocked him out..." The human was still clinging to his master, probably getting him wet. Of course, Izuki noticed and jumped away. "Sorry..." he was still really damp and his hair still stuck to him... oh well... The human turned to the demon that saved him and gave another smile, this one a little less forced. "Thanks for everything, really. If it weren't for you I'd probably have been raped again...." And there it was... Izuki froze solid.... Did he really just admit to that? Shit.... He felt horrible and turned away feeling a bit embarrassed and flustered. There was no doubt that Yornin already knew what happened but Izuki finally admitted it. "Sorry... you probably didn't need to hear that..." His face burned red.
Noise Prince
"Oh, god, Izuki," Inmai lifted his pet in his arms, hugging him tightly, as if he'd lose him again if he let go. He'd never been more terrified than when he came to his room, open and empty. Thank god it was Yornin who found him, and took him here to keep him safe. And clean him, too, apparently. His hair was slightly damp, and he smelled pretty good. That was nice. He wondered what Yornin did to convince him to wash up a little, since Izuki had been too afraid and stressed to bother these past days. Finally, he let Izuki down when he felt like he wanted to step away from him, after word-vomiting the past day's events, that was put a little more cohesively in Yornin's letter he had left for him. He didn't know exactly which demon it was, since Yornin wouldn't know many specifics himself, until Izuki told him. It really pissed him off that after everything, they were still coming after his pet, and what was worse, creepier, was the fact that he must have been watching them, since he attacked soon after he had left. Inmai had felt equal parts awful and relieved that he went ahead and picked up the advanced locking charm on his way home. He felt bad that it took him longer than normal to come home, but now neither of the other two would be able to get at Izuki. "Please, don't thank me," Yornin told him, giving him a light pat on his head. "I consider myself to be somewhat responsible for you when Inmai might be away and I'm available. It'd be uncharacteristic of me to not defend you," "Really, Yornin, thank you so much," Inmai said, giving his friend a hearty, thankful hug. God, he didn't want to think about what might have happened if Yornin wasn't there to save his pet.
WolfDog12
As soon as he was able to finally calm down from his embarrassing word vomiting, Inmai put him back on the ground. In a way, the human didn't want him to let go and just wanted to be held until they got back to the room or something but he knew better and had to be placed back on his own two feet. Izuki stepped back a bit feeling much better now as he watched the two friends quickly hug. Inmai had taken longer to get here than expected but it wasn't all bad. At least he was here now. Yornin was really a great guy... Damn was Izuki a bit of a dick when they first met... He really felt bad about that. The small human walked over to Ashtena's water tank and smiled at it not entirely sure where she was in it... or at least where her head was if she even had a head in this form. "Sorry about earlier, Ashtena. I didn't mean to grab you out of the blue like that. I promise it won't happen again." He knew she wasn't mad or anything but it was polite to say something anyway since she was there comforting him... kind of... she was just as scared as he was but she at least let Izuki hold onto her soft fur. After speaking to Ashtena, Izuki walked back over to Inmai and stood close to him. "What are we going to do about the lock? That demon that nullifies magic might come back... Is there anything that can stop him? He was one of the more terrifying demons..." Izuki admitted.

Noise Prince
"It's fine, there's no need to thank me about something like this," Yornin was still smiling politely, but Inmai could tell, knowing him so well, when he was feeling irritated. He'd probably had to say the same thing to Izuki a number of times by now. Yornin never seemed to warm up to being thanked for certain things. To Inmai, it seemed anything on a particular scale shouldn't even be acknowledged. Inmai knew it was just a cultural difference, but it was still a little weird to only have a thanks accepted when his friend picked up a pencil or something. "Right, well, it's very good to know I can rely on you to protect Izuki," He phrased carefully. Yornin nodded respectfully, appreciative of the gesture. While Yornin got along with most people quite well, he lacked a bit when it came to very close friends, so Inmai was a very important person to him, he didn't have to think before doing something to help him, especially when it came to a helpless creature being pursued. Ashtena bubbled up a little in a way almost reminiscent of a purr. She wasn't the type to be shaken up for too long, especially when she had the opportunity to recline in her tank. Ashtena raised something akin to a face from the surface and made a soft gurgling noise at him playfully. "Yeah, come here," Inmai gestured for Izuki to come back to his side. "I went ahead and got that lock, so we're not going to have anything like this happen again, alright?"
WolfDog12
Izuki smiled and snicked slightly at Ashtena's little display as she moved about in liquid form. He admired her until he was called out by his master to return to his side. The human bowed towards Ashtena and then Yornin before running over next to Inmai again happy to hear that the lock was fixed again. "Alright... I just hope that guy that nullifies magic can't do anything about it," He explained. Still, Izuki held onto his master's arm just slightly trying to look confident even though he was nervous. As much as the human wanted to say one more thank you, he seemed to catch on that it wasn't alright so he just smiled and waved good bye. The two walked away and Izuki stayed practically glued to his master's hip. "Thanks for coming to get me Inmai.... and sorry that I worried you... The demon was terrifying so I ran... I'm probably just a big coward but I see just how powerless I am in this world," he admitted. He closed his eyes for a few seconds to take a breath. When he looked around again, there were some demons still hanging around, they'd stare at him then whisper to one another. Clearly they were surprised Izuki hadn't been sent home already. Noise Prince
Inmai put an arm around Izuki's shoulders, and brought him in closer. He and Yornin smiled at each other at Izuki's concern over the nullifying demon. They easily took for granted the difference between the magic demons could use and the magic that charmed items, and how nullifications reacted to them. So when it came time to try to explain it, both were at a bit of a loss. "The lock... don't worry, the nullification won't work on the magic on the lock, okay?" Inmai promised him, patting his hair with his free arm. The two left Yornin and Ashtena be at last, and Inmai started leading Izuki back to their home. "Of course I'd come and get you, what else am I supposed to do?" Inmai told him, chuckling. He must still be pretty shaken up if he was thanking him for something he should have expected. "Now you don't need to feel afraid of anything, okay? When I'm gone and you're not with me, you'll be locked in, safe and sound, you won't be hurt again. And you know, those demons are going into some serious trouble with the university, so they'll be moved out pretty soon. They might even get expelled." Inmai wasn't as perceptive about others' attention as Izuki was, so he didn't feel the eyes on them, watching the demon with a small human being tightly connected to his side. "See, look at this," He pointed out the lock on the door. There was a slight sliver in the door, that when you looked at a certain angle, it looked similar to a bit of light shining through, that was a result of the charm placed on the inside of the door.
