"Hey, I wouldn't say no to a back rub." He was pretty happy that the two could banter back and forth like this... Still, it was quiet strange for him.... Izuki never really had anyone in his life that he could do this with... He didn't have any friends and no one took the time to get close to him after he pushed them away with his snarky and rude attitude. Was this what it was like to have a friend?

Izuki pushed the thoughts from his head and focused again on what they were doing. "Is this like a huge store or just a local blanket shop?" Izuki didn't see the need for a local blanket shop near the academy but he also knew nothing about this world. "Not that I plan on buying anything, but I was wondering, how do you pay for things in this world? Do you trade stuff, do you use magic for that too, or do you have money and pay that way?" The human certainly wanted to learn more about this world even if it was by a few smaller things at a time.

The strange familiar became pretty aware of people around them. They were looking over and whispering or staring. Pointing and jeering. Most of it was directed at Izuki because demons outside of the academy wouldn't know that he was summoned as a familiar and would probably think he was just summoned for the hell of it or as some kind of sex slave. The human still walked pretty proudly despite all that until one female demon suddenly shouted;

"You should keep that filthy creature on a leash or locked up at home!!!" She shouted and a few people in the distance nodded and agreed to themselves while others continued to stare. Izuki wanted to turn and find the woman so he could punch her but he didn't and just stayed with Inmai.

"No? Well I guess I'll have to avoid your back if you sleep on my face," The demon said with a playful smile. It was hard to even joke about using petting as a punishment, though. But he was glad that his human, despite the banter, was being more agreeable and friendly. So he didn't traumatize him the night before, thank goodness. Maybe it even helped him get adjusted, perhaps. It seemed weird, but maybe understanding the boundaries gave him more confidence in being able to talk to each other like this without being nasty to one another.

Inmai didn't think anything of taking his familiar out with him to the local shopping district nearby.

"There is a shopping district," He explained, chuckling at the idea of a blanket store. "There will be a store that sells blankets, but not a blankets only store," The demon laughed. What a funny idea, what did he think demons lived like? His next question was also a little funny, and Inmai laughed.

"Well, this is a pretty rural area, so we don't really have a 'paying' system, or money. Some cities have a complicated pay system in place, just because they're really large, they can't operate like smaller communities do. You see, here," He pulled something out of his back pocket. Or at least it looked like it, but it was just a gesture spell and a small book appeared in his hand. "This is my Goods Book. When I get any goods, both me and the seller record it. At the end of the period, we send the records to Aanboolouh," He pointed to the largest building visible in town. "It's an organization that keeps the records. So, say I get this blanket for you, it goes into the records. The records should then say I own two blankets. If there comes a time when there is a blanket shortage or something, they might contact me and see if I might donate to someone who needs it. Bad example, but you get it, right?"

He patted the human's back reassuringly, almost absent-mindedly as they got to a more crowded area as they approached the shopping area, and he noticed some people quite shocked at the presence of a human. Summoning humans tended to be a fad for richer folks, the ones who lived in cities. Inmai didn't know much about it, as he held no animosity towards human beings, but it seemed that feeling wasn't universal, in fact it was pretty controversial. He didn't want Izuki to feel like he was alone, or wouldn't have support.

Inmai grimaced when he heard an unfamiliar voice shout something particularly nasty about Izuki. He turned, scanning the crowd, but with so many agreeing nods and self-satisfied looks, he couldn't pick out who said it. Must have been in passing, anyway. He was infuriated, but he knew he'd need to keep his cool. Izuki was all ready to threaten his classmates the day before, and Inmai had to lid that really fast, so he couldn't set a bad example now by losing it.

"Ignore it, we're close to the shop," He told him, moments before leading him into a place filled with various fabric and quilted goods. Hanging around, on display, they were surrounded. There was a plump older demon sitting behind a counter, beaming as they walked by, though his eyes widened at the sight of Izuki.

"Welcome, welcome! Do you need any help?" He greeted. Inmai shook his head.

"We know what we want, just not which one yet," The demon informed him, and turned to Izuki. "See anything you like?"

"Whatever, it's not like I can do anything about it anyway... I left my scissors in my backpack and my pocket knife is still back home in my world.... I would have brought it with me but I'm not allowed to bring it on school grounds." Izuki explained as he kept his head forward in the direction he was walking. It was clear even by his voice that he still wanted to beat the woman up for what she said.

Either way, they walked into a store where the clerk was surprised but he didn't jeer at the teen and gave Inmai a warm welcome. It was nice to see but that could be because he wants the business... though from the confusing talk about how their system works, it doesn't look like anyone really gains anything from it. Why work at all if you aren't going to be paid for your troubles... This was so confusing and Izuki would have to look it up more once he'd been taught how to read.

He focused again when the demon addressed him and the human quickly began looking around checking things out. Izuki looked at things like fabric and what would actually be comfortable and then he sort of started looking at designs just for the hell of it. The human turned and was about to call out to Inmai when he realized things could go very south very fast if anyone found the human addressing his "master" in an overly friendly tone or something like that. Should he still try it? By the time he came to a decision, Inmai was already looking at him again. "Which would you choice?" It was all he could manage without being sassy or in some way rude. Izuki wasn't about to have them kicked out by something stupid.

Izuki quickly looked back at the different blankets and began to feel just the corners of a couple. It was clear that one caught his attention because the human just stood there rubbing one between his fingers. "This is soft..." He mumbled mostly to himself but Inmai could hear it. One side was a gentle fuzz and the other was short fur-like, if stroked one way it was incredibly soft and if rubbed the other way, it was a bit of an edgy softness. It was a light blue blanket and, though it wasn't exactly heavy, it did look like it could be pretty warm.

It reminded Izuki of a puppy or a kitten maybe and he looked over at the demon having forgotten that the human asked for his opinion just moments ago. "Sorry, I don't think I heard your reply..."

That was a completely different attitude from the day before, when he was going to crush his enemies using spy tactics. But the fact that he was bringing up physical violence, weapons, to use against demons was a little troubling. He couldn't blame him though, after hearing something like that said about him. He didn't expect anyone to be so verbally nasty towards his cute pet cat!

At least the clerk was a pleasant man, as Inmai had always known him to be, and he was pragmatic enough not to say anything about bringing a human inside, either. The demon stood a few steps behind Izuki as he walked around, looking at al the different wares here. He was pretty quiet while he looked around at the different options, Inmai figured he was in awe, or distracted, he didn't read deeper into the silence.

"It's going to be your blanket," He reminded him, though he did look himself, thinking maybe the human was thinking even things like this that were made by demons might not all be equally good or even safe for him to use. "Something like this, or something with a less busy design, too," He suggested, pointing to a pale green one with a complex quilted pattern on it. But Izuki was touching others nearby, thin but very fuzzy blankets. He mumbled something softly about how soft it was. Inmai smiled, thinking that for someone who tried to act so callous, that he sure found himself almost immediately drawn to a downy, soft blanket.

"I don't think my answer matters," Inmai told him, crossing his arms and smiling. "That's the one you want, right?"

"I really like this one but it's not that your opinion doesn't go unweighted," Izuki explained. He finally pulled his hand away and looked at another. It looked very different from all the other blankets and not at all comfortable. He slowly reached out and touched it only to jump back a moment latter letting out a pained yelp like a dog who's tail was just stepped on. He pulled his hand close against his chest where it was still smoking a bit from being burned so suddenly.

Izuki stared at the blanket he touched in amazed horror. It seems there were things that could hurt him as a human. The human stared for a while until his focus finally returned to his hand where the pain came flooding to his brain and Izuki looked at his fingers that were horribly red and slightly blistered. He stared in shock still unable to comprehend what just happened. All he knew was that it hurt, a lot.

Still, he couldn't find the proper way to react until he bit his lip hard enough to make it bleed. He tried to focus on his lip but the pain paled in comparison to his fingers. Part of his wanted to cry and part of him just wanted to curse the pain away. He didn't do either and just stood there almost deciding his next action.

"My opinion is that you should get the blanket you want," Inmai replied flatly though he smirked. He watched his familiar separate himself from his favorite blanket and look and touch some of the other options available to him, but Inmai had a feeling he had already found the one they'd be getting. But he let the human examine on, as they were in no rush, but suddenly Izuki yelped and pulled back, steam rising from his hand. Inmai's jaw dropped, not considering any fabric would be harmful to him!

"Oh shit!" He exclaimed, and pulled the human into him, holding him against his body so he could look over his shoulder and look at his hand at a way that would be easiest for Izuki, since he wouldn't have to reposition his hand. It was red, swollen, hot, blistered. It was covered in large shiny areas.

"I'll go get Tyre!" The shopkeep said, and rushed out hurriedly, to find a neighboring shop owner who was luckily a Healing Talent. A human might be tricky, so it was best to go to someone who was more advance.

"Shit, did you do that?" Inmai asked, referring to his lip. He wondered how else that could have happened, but why would he bite his own lip to the point of blood when he was already pretty badly burned?

The shopkeeper came back with a tall demon woman with black around her ice blue irises.

"Let me see your hand," She said without so much as an introduction. "Even on a human, it shouldn't be too difficult to heal, but it won't be quick," The demon informed them after giving his burned hand a moment's inspection.

Izuki was pulled into a hug by Inmai but his brain just wasn't registering anything at the moment so even when the demon pulled away a bit and asked about his lip, there really was no way to answer him. He finally started reacting when another demon came and started inspecting his hand. Izuki looked petrified and even tears built in his eyes but he didn't cry and it was taking everything he had not to scream. The human bit his bloody lip again making it worse but he didn't let go this time as he was muffling and holding back a scream.

The new female demon got right to work on healing his hand but it wasn't something instantaneous and it certainly wasn't painless. However, the pain was slowly subsiding until everything was completely numb. Izuki was finally able to let go of his lip and panted heavily having just realized he was holding his breath somewhere along the way. The teen was catching his breath and wiped most of the blood off his lip onto the back of his left hand leaving just bloody smug marks on his face and on the back of his hand. The human managed to catch his breath and continued to wait for his hand to be healed.

At the same time, Izuki glanced over and looked at the blanket that did this. It looked like it was made out of some kind of leather but with small, not even sharp, spikes all over it. He stared at it for a bit and was never able to tell what it felt like because it wasn't something he could touch being human. Izuki turned to look back at the demon healing him and waited patiently for her to finish.

Inmai nodded, knowing that it would probably take a while for her to fix a human up and it wouldn't be the same as a demon. She hadn't looked at either of them, really, before she went to work. Her lips were moving rapidly, but there was barely anything audible. Inmai could see Izuki was in great pain during this, and saw his teeth find their way into his lip once more.

Inmai stood very close to Izuki still, while waiting for the demon to finish healing his hand. He also wanted to be a brace for his familiar if the pain suddenly made his body jerk back, and he knew it'd be harder to heal him if he was moving a lot. But he stood relatively motionless through the whole ordeal.

"There. It will still be very sensitive though, I suggest a water-based treatment and bandaging it up for a day or two," She said as the skin seemed completely normal, though much pinker.

"I see, thank you," Inmai said, nodding. He had something like that at home already. She nodded, excusing herself, and went back to attend her own business.

"Hey, now, here," The shopkeep handed Inmai a handkerchief to give to the familiar to whip his face, and now his hand, to clean the blood. Inmai took it, and turned Izuki around so he was facing him, and couldn't help but smile when he saw the blood smeared. He was planning on giving it to Izuki to clean himself up, but then he realized that his hand would probably make it difficult, especially when it came to the back of his uninjured hand. He started patting to blood off of his lip and chin, then folded the handkerchief so he could wipe the blood off of his hand.

"Still in any pain?" Inmai asked him gently.

Izuki let Inmai turn and wipe his face while he just stood there now staring at his hand again. It was much better... healing magic certainly was useful. The human lowered his hand finally and waited patiently as he was finished being cleaned off from the blood. "It's just numb," He said trying to relax more. "Sorry, that was probably stupid of me to touch things so carelessly... I'll be careful next time." He sounded pretty defeated but Izuki wasn't about to lose to something as simple as a blanket.

The human walked back to the one he originally liked not wanting to test anything else that looked strange to him. "I really like this one," Izuki said looking back at Inmai. He didn't want to show his weakness especially now... though, Izuki was pretty good when it came to pain. He could take a licking and keep on kicking. He had gotten hurt many times so he was good at concealing it for as long as he needed to.

When they got the blanket and left the shop, Izuki tucked his hands into his pockets and walked the exact same way he did heading there. "Thanks for that. Sorry it took longer then expected. You have class soon don't you?" The human was doing everything he could in order to keep the conversation off his injury. It wasn't something he wanted to talk about, not yet anyway. Of course, Izuki was a bit scared to be left in the room alone after finding out not everything was safe for him to touch.

"Yeah… we'll have to find a way to test this shit out," Inmai said. Maybe this will teach him to be more careful with food, too. Maybe he could find someone who was good at charming items and get one that could test whether or not it was safe for human skin or consumption instead of testing it out on Izuki.

Inmai grinned when he retreated to the special blanket he was drawn to earlier. He knew that'd be the one they'd be taking home. The demon took it off the table, and brought it to where the shopkeep had awkwardly retreated behind his counter. He pulled out his Listings, and Inmai summoned his Goods Book, and they exchanged information, the shopkeeper recorded the 'sale' and Inmai recorded where he got the new blanket. It was a very quick process, considering 'stamping' the paper with each other's seals, on the back, processed the information into written form in the appropriate place, all that needed putting in was the good and the number.

"Okay, you have your blanket now!" Inmai announced once they left the store. "I'll bandage you up back at home," He promised. It seemed like Izuki was handling it well, so Inmai wasn't going to get himself too worked up over his cat's injured paw.

"Nah, not that soon," Inmai replied. "I was planning on taking you to more than one shop before this, but we can just chill out until I have to leave again. Of course, I don't have to go…" He added quickly. After something like this, he shouldn't leave his injured familiar at home alone, but Izuki also might not want him there.

"Thanks but I don't mind going to a few more stores. My hand will have to just wait to be tended to." Izuki was quite the curious kitten and wanted to learn more. He had seen the exchange they use to 'pay' for things and it was really strange though it seemed almost a little like using a banking account. They were quite a bit different but this was the best comparison Izuki could come up with. After seeing it, he wanted to learn more. Plus, he was a bit curious as to what other things could he not touch. Still, he'd need a new method on how to do that.

"I think I've got it!" The human perked up a bit and plucked a strange of hair while keeping his right hand in his pocket. "This should work. If anything is dangerous and my hair touches it, the hair should burn instead of my hand." Izuki then looked up at Inmai as if begging to see if he could test this out or not. When the demon mentioned about skipping class to stay with him, he looked down.

He couldn't deny that he wanted Inmai to stay but he also knew it was impossible. "If you skip class then the other's will suspect you ran away or something bad...." Izuki didn't sound too happy to be saying this. He didn't really want Inmai to go to class but, the human could always sleep some more. "I'll probably just sleep anyway...." Izuki also didn't want to admit that he'd be sleeping in Inmai's bed again. Now, it was up to Inmai if they stayed out or went back and if he skipped class or not.

Inmai frowned, not sure if he wanted to wait around to treat his hand. Izuki didn't seem too bothered by it now, but Inmai was really worried about it himself. Then again, he also wanted to take him to other stores, thinking it was a good sign that he wasn't completely discouraged by the nasty commentary earlier. But what if there were other dangerous materials and he got hurt again? Then he'd really be fucked with two injured hands. Though so long as he didn't touch anything himself, it would be fine, right? His hand probably wasn't in immediate danger.

But Izuki seemed to have a different plan, and demonstrated how he'd pluck a dark hair from his head to touch against foreign materials. Inmai laughed and shook his head.

"You'll start going bald!" he answered. "And then what good are you to me once you have nothing to pet?" He teased. It wasn't a bad idea in theory, and it'd probably work for the time being until he got a charm, but it was just funny to think about him having to yank his hair out with each new material that he wasn't sure of.

"Shit, you're right, I should probably go…" He felt like such an irresponsible pet owner! But which was really worse, skipping class after the day before, or abandoning his injured familiar. He ran a hand through his own hair and sighed.

"Okay, then we can at least see more." He said, deciding to compromise and stay out shopping with him, and attending his later classes. "Is there anything in particular? Or do you just want to look and you can tell me when you want to go in?"

Sorry Inmai ended up not being that sadistic? Maybe when he gets out of protective-new-pet-owner-mode he can deliver what you want :p

Izuki knew he had a point and almost felt bad for Inmai having to go to class so his classmates wouldn't think any worse of him... almost... The human followed his new master and looked around, some demons retreating from his gaze with disgusted looks. It was all too easy to feel like some kind of hideous rat or something that everyone hated. Still, Izuki hardly cared, in fact, the longer he stayed out the easier it got and the less he cared even wanting them to bring it on so he could just brush it off and make demons retreat even more.

"Hey, I don't have to pluck that many hairs. I'll use the same one until this one burns away. It doesn't even seem like many things are actually dangerous. I did touch about 30 blankets only to find one that hurt me. Besides, that one looked weird and didn't really look like a normal blanket. Maybe things that look extra out of the ordinary to me are what's dangerous," Izuki explained as they decided to continue walking around.

"I don't know any of these places or anything you typically see or have here so any store you go into is fine and even if we don't go in, I can get a gist of things from just the windows...." Izuki then looked down at his clothes. They were the same ones he arrived in the day before. He felt shy about asking so, the the human took Inmai's wrist in his good hand and pulled him down a bit to Izuki's level.... short peoples' problems. He then whispered, "Would you mind getting me at least a spare pair of underwear? Yours might be too big... I know you probably don't want to buy me too many clothes but I do need at least one pair of underwear to wear when these are being washed."

He let go of the demon and looked away blushing slightly. The hair Izuki pulled earlier was in his pocket at the moment but there was no guarantee that he'd be able to find it... didn't matter.

Hey, it's ok. Its fine if he isn't sadistic right now, Izuki has been acting less like a brat so once he starts acting up more and shows that he's not as fragile as Inmai makes him out to be, then you can be more sadistic. Also, I really like Inmai as he is so he only really needs to be sadistic in his punishments and when they eventually start sleeping together. Other then that, feel free to make him a happy cat owner that loves his new pet.

Ps. Love the fact that you actually took the cat idea seriously. I've hinted at it before to many people but no one would take it seriously. Thank you.

Imai was a little concerned by the disquieting atmosphere created by the jeers and stares many of the other demons gave to Izuki. Izuki still seemed unfazed, but it made Inmai feel more protective of him. He couldn't just keep him locked up in his small apartment, but he wished there was some other way to keep other demons from interacting with him, even in just looking.

"Sounds practical," Inmai chuckled, thinking about him trying to keep track of one hair and pressing it to various objects over the course of days. "But that's true, there's not a lot that has been hurting you. I'm planning on getting some kind of charm that will detect if something's dangerous to you, but in the mean time the hair should be fine." He explained. "Though I don't know about putting hair in your food…"

Looking around was fine. He nodded, it'd probably be best, since he might be tempted to go around touching his hair to things if they went into one, which would be a sight to behold, sure. Though exploring in general seemed to be Izuki's main goal, and Inmai was more than happy to oblige him and take him about the area to let him take in this strange new world he'd be inhabiting for the next handful of days. After a few more minutes, he felt his cool, slender hand take a hold of his wrist, and gently pull down, indicating he should bend over. Inmai smiled, thinking this was adorable, and leant the short bastard his ear.

"Oh…!" He bit his lip, not wanting to laugh at him. But all while debating whether or not to get him clothes, he had never thought about underwear! He imagined poor Izuki sitting huddled on his mat, naked, while his clothes were being washed. Underwear would be a good middle ground between no clothes and a new wardrobe. "Sure thing, there's a clothes shop a little closer to the entrance, so we'll check it out before we leave," Inmai told him, gently patting the small of his back.

I'm glad you still like him! But yeah, he's basically of the mindset that he summoned something akin to a kitten who must be protected from the harshness of the world. And that's how I was planning to slowly push more sadism, was in punishment and sexy times~ I'm sorta going for the 'I'm a sadist but also having power over someone means needing to protect them' sort of thing??

Ps. Haha, it's too cute and accurate to ignore :p

"I wouldn't put my hair in my food... I'm better off eating it and just hoping I don't drop dead..... though a charm certainly would be a good idea..." He wasn't going to deny a charm if it helped him live longer without having to pull out a new hair every few minutes to check everything. Izuki fished around and tried to find the hair that he picked earlier. It took a while but he managed to get a hold of it and held on.

After Inmai agreed to get him some underwear, Izuki pulled away still a bit embarrassed for having to say that. Still it wouldn't be too much of a problem to buy a pair on the way back. He turned away and focused again on the things around them and everything they passed on their little trip. Izuki just didn't want to think about it anymore. The human looking in the windows and at all the buildings. He wasn't much for talking right now but he indulged Inmai if he were to say anything.

Some time later, it was time for them to head back and Izuki could feel his hand starting to sting again. "Inmai.... we need to hurry...." He didn't want to sound desperate but when the human pulled his hand out it was a bit more red then pink now. Keeping it tucked away in his pocket for so long wasn't good for it. "Can we just get the underwear and head back now?"

Ya, I like Inmai as he is so go ahead and keep him a protective pet owner and a sadistic punisher and seme.

"Better dead than having hair in your food, right?" Inmai only sounded half sarcastic. It was interesting that he was still so daring about what he was putting into his body. What if he got violently ill one day? It would be Inmai who would have to deal with the consequences arguably mores than Izuki.

Inmai could see his human pet was really enjoying the view for himself, looking at everything. He didn't want to distract him, or to have a conversation going with Izuki might have a question. But he wanted to talk to him, know more about him and his old life. Most of their conversations have been about Izuki adjusting to life here, rather than anything about his life back home. Was he a student too? Did he have a job? What were his favorite foods there? Was he a pain to his friends there, too?

That wasn't fair, Izuki had been on his best behavior now. Plus, why was he calling himself his friend suddenly?

He saw a change in Izuki's expression, and could guess what the problem was. He nodded, and took his upper arm.

"Okay then, just follow me, it won't take long," He told him, leading him quickly back the way they came. After a bit of demon-dodging, the two came across a store right next to the entrance, and Inmai brought his familiar inside. A shopkeep's assistant was manning the store, and her face was wide in surprise that a human had walked into the shop. There was no malice in her expression, though, or at least Inmai hoped.

"Can I help you two?" She asked, shamelessly looking Izuki up and down, the corners of her mouth turning up a little.

"Uh, no, we know what we need, it'll be quick," Inmai told her firmly. Even if she was just fascinated with the human he brought in, he was feeling possessive when she stared like that.

He brought Izuki towards the rows of undergarment on a far wall.

"Here are things that look to be your size. Pick out two," He had a rough day, he might as well spoil him a little.

^D^ Can do!

Izuki looked down a bit as the female demon looked him up and down. He didn't want any more of this belittling staring. It was one thing when people were scared or stared in admiration but he couldn't stand people looking at him like he was some new kind of bug that people were curious about but no one liked. Still, the human was quite happy to be pulled away to another section in the store.

"Two?! You're spoiling me," He laughed sarcastically he was careful to make sure they wouldn't kill him before picking two random pairs. "I don't need flashy underwear... it's not like anyone is even going to see me in them. So, as long as they don't kill me, any pair will do." Izuki didn't like anyone seeing him in his underwear so what was the point in getting anything flashy? "Hey, Inmai? Why are you being nice to me now? You could have kept me chained up in your room and just fed me when I had to be fed and just brushed me aside until I was forced back home..." He changed himself quickly not wanting to look weak. "You really like cats don't you!!!" He didn't know what else to say.

"Let's head back, you have classes soon." Izuki turned away and handed Inmai the pairs of underwear. "I'm probably going to try and sleep in the room so you don't have to worry about me."

Inmai chuckled a little awkwardly, unaware he was being that obvious. Izuki's good hand was very tentative when it came to exploring the underpants in front of them. Inmai wondered if he should be the one touching the hair to them.

"Hey, I'll be seeing you in them!" Inmai teased, though he wasn't actually going to force him into a flashier pair than the unremarkable ones he chose.

"Being a hardass isn't my default state," The demon told him, a little baffled that he was questioning why he wasn't keeping him chained up. Did he really think that Inmai would just chain him up in a corner, feed him once or twice a day, then carry on like he wasn't there, until he could send him back? What a nightmarish thing to expect from someone. He hadn't even kept him on the leash for that long the day before! Were these other demons a problem for him? Did that one obnoxious person shouting at him really hit him that deeply?

"How awkward would it be to have someone just leering at me from a corner for days, anyway? Besides, you're fun when you're not being a brat about stuff," He said with a shrug, his face warming with the accusation.

"Cats have nothing to do with this!" He insisted. They walked to the counter, where the young demon had her book already out for them. While Inmai was pulling out his Goods Book, the assistant reached to touch Izuki's face.

"I've never been so close… it's so cute!" She gushed, Inmai reached his arm out to push her hand out of the way, but she was actually much stronger than him, and her arm didn't move, but she stopped.

"He doesn't like that," He said in a flat tone.

"Oh, I didn't realize! I'm sorry." She looked at the underwear, clearly intrigued by why that was the only thing they were buying, and it was clearly too small for Inmia. They recorded the exchange, and Inmai led Izuki out of the store without so much as another word.

"Yeah, I'll dress up your hand before I leave," He promised him, as they walked towards the exit and back home together. "How bad is it hurting you now?" Inmai asked.

Izuki couldn't help but like Inmai's response about why he wouldn't just chain the kid up. It was comforting to know that demons really had hearts and could in fact care for humans. He walked up to the counter with the demon and stood next to him watching when he suddenly felt a hand touch his face. Instinctively, Izuki jumped, scared that he might get burned again or something. Luckily, he didn't get burned but he certainly was not comfortable with someone touching his face like that. Thankfully, Inmai tried defending him by pushing her hand only to find it didn't move and then told her that Izuki didn't like it.

When she did retract her hand, Izuki backed up to stand a little behind Inmai. He watched her from the distance with skeptical eyes and making sure she didn't try anything else. The human turned and followed his summoner out as quickly as possible. "Thanks...." He whispered though Inmai probably didn't even hear him.

"My hand's ok it just burns and kind of stings like it's being stabbed by a needle," he quickly explained as they walked towards the school again. Once they returned to the room, Izuki sat on the bed and pulled out his hand so the demon could treat his injury. It still looked fairly normal other then its red color. After that had been taken care of, Izuki sat back a little and watched Inmai get ready for his next set of classes.

The human was also just as curious about what demons took to class and wondered still, what the demon might learn in his classes. Still, Izuki didn't offer to go with him and really wanted to take another nap since he was still so exhausted.

Inmai hadn't really realized just how big a deal having a human familiar would be. He was aware there was quite a bit of controversy around people summoning humans in general, but he thought that was largely in big cities where more people were doing it. There were no humans around here, so he never really thought that there was any heavy opinions one way or another about them. But he was quickly learning how wrong he was.

But seriously, how inexcusable, reaching out to touch him like that. No one would ever touch someone else's familiar like that if they weren't a human. Then he realized no one accept his class and those who learned would realize that he was his familiar, and not just summoned as an exotic pet. The assistant was regarding him like a pet. Maybe it was really just Izuki's fault for looking so cute.

"Ah, shit, that doesn't sound good." Inmai grumbled. Needles? He was really handling the pain well, he was actually pretty tough. "It'll be better once we treat it," He promised, leading him into the room, and made a beeline for his first aid supplies, quickly finding the water-based burn medicine and a bandage. Inmai opened the bottle and poured a small amount into the palm of his hot red hand.

"Rub it in," He said, demonstrating what he meant by rubbing his own fingers into his palm. Once his hand was coated and he unfurled his fingers, Inmai began to wrap his hand up with the thick bandage, tying it firmly, but not uncomfortably tight. "There… feeling any better?" He asked him. He left him on the bed as he started getting his things ready for the next two classes he would have to attend. Inmai slid two textbooks and two notebooks into his large bag after removing the textbook and notebook he used this morning.

"Remember, I have two classes in a row, are you sure you'll be okay?" Inmai asked him, wanting to give him one more chance to change his mind.

Izuki did as he was told when rubbing in the treatment but had to be careful he didn't spill it anywhere. "That definitely helps." Even if the human wanted to continue to complain he really couldn't it did feel better and was so neatly wrapped. "This must be why you aren't strong; you were born to be a healer," Izuki chuckled and was one of the only people that could joke about Inmai's strength because the demon was even stronger then this human so of course, to him, Inmai wasn't actually that weak.

The human continued to watch as two books and two notebooks replaced the ones from this morning. 'Two classes?' Izuki thought to himself as he sat there watching. When the thought of Inmai having two classes instead of one crossed his mind, he wanted to ask Inmai to skip one class... of course that would probably be impossible and the human knew this. "I'll admit that I don't want you to go but we both know you have to." Izuki then got up and walked over to him. "One time... this will be the only time...." The human then wrapped his arms around Inmai being careful of his wings.... he would get back to the wings later.... for now, Izuki just hugged Inmai tightly.

"Come back soon," He whispered listening to the other's heart beat. Hopefully it was a calm heart beat that was reassuring to Izuki. Right after, the teen pulled back and walked back to the bed. "I'm napping here..." He finally took off his coat and shoes before crawling into the bed. Not once after that did Izuki even look back at Inmai... he was too scared and embarrassed to.

That was a relief to hear, and it showed in the demon's face.

"Good, it would suck if this stuff ended up burning you worse, right?" Inmai teased, corking the bottle and stashing it back into the kit, putting it away. After he said it, he realized that might be another problem. Not all their medicines and first aids were guaranteed to be safe for him. He could have burned his scalp off with the shampoo that morning! Inmai was re-examining every mundane part of his life as a new and dangerous obstacle.

"Ah, so the universe finally answers my life-long question," Inmai laughed, shrugging it off. If it was anyone else he might be a little angry, but this pipsqueak with a bandaged hand that was injured with a blanket? He didn't take it to heart.

"Well, I don't haaaave too," The demon replied, if his injured familiar really needed him bedside, he'd stay here and pet his hair and feed him the sweet fruit all night. But it was really important that he attend class. Maybe he could skip one of them. Maybe he could leave the second one early. He was about to tell the human that he'd cut early, and that the next day he only had one class, not really registering what 'just this once' meant, until he felt those thin arms wrap over his torso. They hugged him tightly.

For such a small body, it was so warm. He almost wanted to turn around and collect him in his arms, but he didn't. Something felt very precious about this moment, about the human coming up behind him and hugging him. It was brief, as Izuki soon left and returned to the bed.

"I won't be gone as long as you think," He told him gently, not sure what else he could tell him, now wanting to keep the fact he decided to leave class early to himself, and Inmai took his bag and left, closing the door softly.

Izuki didn't care that Inmai watched as he slept in the bed again. It was a fact that he couldn't sleep on the mat anyway. The human got up again and grabbed the new blanket. He wrapped himself in it even though he crawled back under the blankets of the bed and laid down to sleep. He was a weirdo that's for sure. Still, he was, in a way, "Breaking in the new blanket" so to speak. It was a great blanket and he slept for about an hour before waking up again and realizing that if he went back to bed he'd not sleep the night.

Izuki got out of bed and went into his backpack to take out the new charger his friend had gotten him. The human may not know exactly how much sunlight was left in the day but hope fully it was enough to charge his phone. When he pulled the charger out, he found a rubber band stuck to it. He pulled the band off and aimed and gently shot it at the window for no apparent reason but the fact that it was fun. As soon as the rubber band touched, though, it burned right up so it was nothing but dust. Izuki jumped to his feet in shock. Thank god he did that or he'd probably kill himself.

The human set up his phone on the charger on the desk where the sunlight was pouring in before climbing back on the bed and sitting there wrapped up in the new blanket. He was petrified. Izuki couldn't believe that just happened. Another dangerous thing that he thankfully could test with a simple band that was in the way to begin with. He didn't budge from his spot on the bed until Inmai walked in the door.

"What the hell is with that window?!!!!" He shouted pointing towards the glass. Izuki was clearly scared. It was so hard to tell what was dangerous and if he'd even tried to escape the window... even if he was setting up his charger and brushed the cool glass, Izuki would have been charred. Still, he was completely wrapped in the blanket. There was no way for Inmai to tell from there if Izuki had in fact gotten burned or not.

Inmai figured at this point he might as well roll up the mat and put it away. Izuki had made himself at home on the bed after all, and Inmai would bet that he'd rather sleep in the bed with him than sleep all night on the mat again. The bed wasn't that large, but it'd comfortably fit both of them without one lying on top of the other, and Izuki was comfortable enough to hug him, so sharing the bed wouldn't be a big leap, would it?

Class was still a little stiff again that night, but everyone refrained from asking about his familiar. His friends carried on like normal, but Inmai could tell the question was in the back of their minds. It was going to be a rough couple of days. The class felt really drawn out, and Inmai really wanted to get back to the apartment, but had yet another class he'd have to sit through, at least most of it. He'd also need to get something Izuki could entertain himself with. He had just the one book in his own human language. Inmai remembered he was going to try to teach him to read, too. Then he could read his own books.

He could barely concentrate on the lesson at hand, but when it ended, he jumped up and ran out to the next one, as if getting there quickly would start the class early, then allow him to go back home to his awaiting kitten. Kitten… he remembered the jab Izuki made about him liking cats. Inmai had tried to shrug it off, but it was true, he did like cats, and Izuki was a decent stand in for one.

When the professor allowed them the rest of the class period to work on their upcoming assignment, a few chose to just leave early, and Inmai bolted before half even made the decision. So he didn't really have to just walk out, that was lucky! Inmai bought more of the fruits his familiar really enjoyed, as well as some roasted nuts, as there were stands on his way home. Inmai returned to his apartment, expecting to see Izuki sleeping again, but was instead greeted with a panic shout.

"Window… Oh shit!" He dropped his back, and ran to the human, and pulled the blanket down on either side, inspecting his body for burns. "Are you okay? Did you burn yourself?"

Inmai had completely forgotten to tell him about the window. Dammit. Though he didn't see any noticeable burns, so maybe this was the case of something dangerous here that didn't hurt him at all?

Izuki let Inmai pull the blanket away and inspect him before pushing the demon back. "I'm fine. I haven't gone near the window. Thank god too because I was about to go over there to set up my charger and my phone but I shot a rubber at the window and it turned to dust!!!!" Izuki looked down and grabbed the blanket the best he could and pulled it back over his shoulders.

The human was going to stay mad but when he saw the strangely colored dragon fruit, he couldn't stay angry. "You can make it up to me by giving me more of those." Izuki pointed to the fruit wanting Inmai to cut some up and give it him. It was such a sweet fruit that he couldn't resist. That sweet tooth of his was a terrible weakness that anyone could lead him away with. He was almost kidnapped as a child because someone said they had candy. He was about to go with them when the human's mother interfered. Didn't change that he'd go along with anyone promising sweets.

"Why have a window if you can't even open it? Doesn't it get hot in here or something?!" Izuki still couldn't understand the point.... he was also really scared. After what happened today with his hand, then finding he almost got fried again by a freaking window, he was pretty scared and curled up tightly. He certainly lost and he felt so pathetic and weak.
