WolfDog12
Izuki shouted until he couldn't breathe anymore and began gasping and panting for air. Of course, once he finished talking, Inmai told him to shut up which just made Izuki want to hit him again even though he didn't have the strength to. The human was then pulled into a hug with a firm grip holding him there. Izuki's hands grabbed at the front of Inmai's shirt and balled into fists as he wanted to shove the other off him. Of course he didn't and just stayed there though his anger was still boiling in him. At first, Izuki didn't want to listen and just wanted to completely ignore Inmai or even run away from him but just stayed there and as soon as Inmai started to explain what he meant, that burning anger seemed to settle and eventually burn out. So the only reason this demon told him that he didn't know his place because of how ignorant he was to the strength and powers of the demons that lived in this world... so it really didn't have anything to do with him being a human meant to have sex appeal. Hearing what demons could do terrified Izuki and he knew he couldn't afford to hurt another demon if they could do something like that so easily... probably just as easily as Inmai could summon a collar and chain. Izuki's grip on the shirt tightened but instead of feeling a push, the human was pulling himself in closer to his master and buried his face into the other's shoulder. "I'm sorry," He whimpered quietly.... "I do like being called your familiar.... I like being your cat and I want to stay here but I don't want you constantly asking if I want to stay or not.... I'm sorry...." He spoke quietly now and it seems he finally understood Inmai's point of view and the reason he reacted the way that he did. "S-so hitting me was the fasted way to train me not to hit demons because you think one of them would do one of those kinds of things to me?" How could he not realize.... Inmai wasn't punishing him for defending himself but for doing something so dangerous being a weak human.... He was like a tiny kitten in a world of wolves or dragons or something. But he was Inmai's kitten and now he had to learn to stay close to the warmth he loved and let himself be protected. Izuki would actually have to learn not to fight his own battles. The opposite of what the human world taught him. After so many years, it would be hard to learn anything different.... but if it was to survive, then Izuki would do anything to continue living in this world with Inmai. Izuki stayed with his face buried in Inmai's shoulder and clung to him for a long time. When his grip finally gave out, Izuki had fallen asleep and remained leaned against the demon out like a light. This human was use to going to sleep after crying. After all, it took everything out of him. He seemed so at peace now though.
Noise Prince
Inmai cradled the man against him, the silence once he finished felt like hours, deafening in his ears. Izuki's hands gripped the back of Inmai's shirt, but stayed in place while he had talked. He hoped that he was listening to him, not trying to block him out now, but he seemed poised to try to push him off, though he never did. Those small hands tightened around the fabric, but now he he pulled himself closer into the demon's embrace. He gently pat his purple hair, relieved to get the reaction he was hoping for, and that he wouldn't continue to be resentful or closed off. He felt the small body in his arms relax, almost decompress, as he accepted Inmai's words to him, leaning into him more. His breath was hot, bleeding through his shirt to his skin as his familiar buried his face into his shoulder, breathing hard. Inmai couldn't believe that Izuki really believed that Inmai considered him to be a public sex toy, that he condoned how others felt free to touch him. He thought he had made it clear that he didn't see the human as an object for sex. But his voice must seem small compared to public jeers and sneers hidden a hair too late, and people who twice now felt compelled to grope or strip him in the public hallways. And he must have thought he was being punished for not being open to such advances. Inmai would have to be clearer on multiple fronts from now on. (12) "I'll never ask you again." Inmai told him, resting his cheek on the top of his head. "And it's okay… you're always going to be my familiar, my cat. I told you I'm going to keep you and as long as you want to stay here, you're mine." "That's right… I should have let you know, but I didn't think a lecture was needed. I should have made it clear… but yes, that is why I punished you. I need you to understand the severity of attacking demons who are vastly more powerful." He continued to stroke his hair gently. He hated that there was any misunderstanding at all, but grateful it was easy to solve by talking to each other. From the moment he was taking him home the first time, Izuki was boasting of his hidden strength to deal with other demons, of his intellectual prowess, how he'd be able to blackmail them into submission. Yet he'd only struck out physically. Of course, Inmai didn't want him to get into any sort of altercation, but it was interesting how readily his skinny kitten relied on physical strength when wronged. Inmai might have to be more careful with him now, and be ready to interfere before something like this happened again. Any punishment Izuki might receive after a third time would be the lighter outcome, as sooner or later a demon would hurt him. Inmai doubted any would go so far as to kill or dismember him, he hoped, but still, a piece of fabric burned him horribly. A demon with intent would do him one worse. He needed to be prepared to take much better care of his human familiar. He kept petting Izuki's hair, whispering comforting things over and over. His grip started to lighten, but it wasn't due to being ready to let go, but rather that he was falling asleep. Inmai smiled at the realization, and shut up, letting his kitten fall asleep against his chest. Inmai slowly adjusted the two of them so that they were lying down, with Izuki laying partially on top of his master. Inmai had quite a bit of time before he had to leave, he could eat breakfast quickly enough just before he had to leave the room. Izuki had worn himself out, so he might not wake up during that time, which meant Inmai would have to figure out a way to make sure he ate his omelet and not just the fruit. He could always save the fruit for later and give it to him when he returned. He looked at Izuki's restful face, tears gradually drying from his smooth pale skin. His bare legs and paddled ass were still exposed. Was Izuki no longer that embarrassed to be so naked in front of him? Or was he just so exhausted that he could fall asleep despite it? He kissed the top of his hair, wondering whether or not he wanted him to keep sleeping, or if he wanted his cat to wake up to share breakfast more. WolfDog12
Izuki finally relaxed and rested peacefully on Inmai. He was finally relaxed and calm with basically no worries at all. Inmai wasn't going to let him go home and was going to stop suggesting he did. The only thing that was left was for the human to worry about was the fact that if he lashed out towards any more demons then he could risk getting seriously injured or even killed... That was something he didn't want to happen and was willing to be a lot more careful because of it. He wasn't so easily woken but eventually, Izuki did wake up about an hour later. He only half opened his eyes at first and they still looked distant and glazed but also really puffy and red. Finally, the small human sat up and rubbed his eyes. When he opened them fully and felt better, it was nice to see the life had returned to him. Izuki didn't looked as distant anymore and even offered Inmai a weak smile... a truly pathetic one at that. Still, he was feeling better and didn't want to talk about it anymore. They came to a decision, an agreement they could both handle. The human got off the bed and quickly got dressed. He still didn't know if he was allowed to get dressed but he was cold and the last thing Inmai would want was for him to get sick. Izuki noticed the meals on the table and felt bad that he hadn't eaten it when it was warm. It looked like a normal omelet to him and actually pretty tasty. It was a shame he ended up acting up at the wrong time..... not that any time could be considered the right time... "What time is the meeting?" It had to be soon. When he spoke, Izuki's throat sounded dry and strained. He wasn't actually use to raising his voice like that... it was like he was acting so much different than how he use to. That was probably due to the fact that, believe it or not, he was a lot more open towards Inmai than he ever had been with any other human. "Is the food still good?" He wanted to keep the conversation light and not start something again. Of course, Izuki just wanted to stay with Inmai for a while longer and continue to relax with him but it was probably better if they had some space before spending the rest of the day together. The meeting would end up doing just that for them.
Noise Prince
Inmai was starting to feel a little sleepy as well, with his sleepy cat on him. He dozed in and out, only for a few minutes each, but he was too well-rested to really fall asleep. And unlike Izuki, that heated shouting-match-turned-naptime only gave him more energy. It was another hour that Izuki slept on him before he started to wake up. Inmai smiled at him as he blinked his bleary eyes, still red and swollen from crying, but looking better. He sat up and rubbed those eyes, and Inmai sat up as well. He seemed completely present now, if a little groggy. His smile was more lethargic than the one Inmai had given him, but at least it was a smile. Izuki pushed himself off the bed, and picked up his willingly discarded clothes and redressed himself. Before thinking the paddling was enough, Inmai had considered having him be naked for the rest of the day, to sort of psychologically represent his vulnerability. But there was no need to deprive him of his pants and underwear. Inmai had no desire to be excessive when correcting his familiar, even for something as serious as this. He stood up as well, and picked up the paddle from the floor, and hid it in the back of the closet, so that it wouldn't be out in the open and reminding Izuki of his morning's punishment all day. He had noticed how he would occasionally glance at it when it rested by the desk, even when he wasn't it any sort of trouble, so he didn't want to torment him now. And now that Inmai felt he needed to be more apparent, he'd have to let Izuki know he wasn't in trouble for shouting at him, he couldn't assume he already knew, he couldn't take that for granted. It might help to spell out some basic rules so Izuki didn't need to hesitate before doing things, unsure if Inmai wanted him to or not. Izuki really was a thoughtful guy, after all, despite him fighting Inmai about certain things. "I need to leave in half an hour," Inmai told him. Good thing Izuki woke up when he did. His voice sounded strained, and at first he figured his throat was parched, and then realized it was because he had screamed quite a bit at him earlier. He would have to give him water, instead of the juice made from his favorite fruit, as the juice was known to be an irritant for some. "Should be. I'll heat it up again." Inmai told him, and picked up the plates, and brought them back into the kitchen to put the omelets back over the heat. It wouldn't take too much to get them hot again. Once they were done, he put them back on the plates, and fixed them both water. No way was he going to drink juice while depriving his kitten of it. "Eat your omelet first." he instructed, sitting down to eat his own. "Save the fruit for after."
WolfDog12
So Inmai was leaving that soon? Well, alright... it would give Izuki enough time to spend with his master before they took some time to be apart for a while. The meeting still made the human nervous but how could he not be. He just got through acting like a complete brat. Inmai had assured him that he'd stay and that he'd never be asked if he wanted to leave again so that was positive and Izuki would be freaking out right now if he didn't know in his heart that there was no way Inmai would send him home now. They were slowly getting more comfortable with each other... at least, that's how it felt to Izuki but maybe that was just a one sided thought since he was always running hot and cold like a pregnant female or something.... bad analogy.... though, scary accurate. The small human sat down and waited patiently for the food to be reheated and he went straight for the fruit to start but was quickly told off. Why bother? Izuki would have eaten everything anyway... unless the omelet was bitter and Inmai wanted him to save the sweetness for after?! Doubtful... he probably just didn't believe Izuki would actually eat everything.... Though, knowing him, he might fill up on the fruit and skip out on other things but this human really loved omelets so he really wanted to have some. While letting the omelet at least cool a little, Izuki picked up the water. "Do you have anything like orange juice? Something high in vitamin C?" Who knows if anything he was saying made any sense. Maybe they didn't count Vitamins the way they did on Earth or maybe they didn't have oranges and the juice thing was just completely useless to bring up... Still, he at least had been taught that vitamin C was good for the throat if it was sore or irritated. He placed the water back down without actually drinking it and tried some of the food. It was still fairly hot but he blew on it and took a bite. It was amazing. Even better than the omelets on earth. There was no doubt that the eggs used were a lot richer and better tasting. Izuki seemed happy as he quickly started eating more and more until there was nothing left. "So good," He said quietly to himself.
Noise Prince
Inmai was quite happy that he would get to eat breakfast with Izuki before leaving. It would have been better to eat it while it was fresh, but he wasn't going to complain too much, since he was already going to lie with the sleeping Izuki until he had to get up to eat and leave. So this way he at least had his pet with him. He wasn't at all nervous about the meeting, he was dreading it a little, though, since it was a lot of bureaucracy and formalities. But if he cooperated enough and everything went smoothly, it wouldn't take more than a handful of hours. No one at the meeting really wanted to do it either, Inmai assumed, since there was so much that had to be done in the meeting before the issue was even addressed. Talking about Izuki would probably only take an hour or so. A lot of it would be silently filing out forms as well. He hadn't thought to explain this to Izuki, who was a lot more nervous about it, being in the dark with how it all works. But to Inmai, Izuki's stay here was already as good as permanent. Inmai had to hide a smile at Izuki's reaction to being told to eat the omelet before diving for the fruit. While he was doing it to make sure he was eating enough, since the might not be feeling all that ready to eat after having his ass reddened so thoroughly, and he couldn't live on chunks of fruit forever. But Izuki sure didn't appreciate the sentiment. But he listened, and started eating his omelet without protest. Inmai wanted to ruffle his hair as a reward. Such an agreeable cat. "Orange juice…" There was juice that had an orange color, but something in the way Izuki said it made him think it was something specific. And he had no idea what 'high in vitamin C' meant. He shrugged. "The only juice I have would hurt your throat." He explained. "So, uh, be careful when eating your fruit, okay, Izuki? If it hurts, you need to stop eating it." Inmai added. He might need to have more juices stoked in case the human ever wanted another one-sided shouting match. Plus, he had been relying on the thick sweet fruit that Izuki favored too much, soon he'd grow tired of it. Inmai had already started eating his omelet, but watched as Izuki lifted a piece to his lips, blowing on it, and eating it. He really hoped he liked it, omelets were fairly easy and could be loaded with other stuff, which made it ideal for making decent breakfasts for Izuki, who would likely and up having a more restricted diet. He really seemed to like it, though! Such a relief! Izuki ate his omelet even faster than Inmai ate his. "Great! I'll make you more omelets, then." Inmai promised, grinning ear to ear, clearly proud of himself.
WolfDog12
So demons didn't know anything about vitamins... That sucked... How was Izuki suppose to have a real healthy diet if he didn't get the vitamins his body needed...? And as if his growth wasn't stunted enough... He'd have to settle with being short forever. Whatever, Izuki devoured his omelet and was warned about the fruit. It could be that the fruit was too acidic or something and would irritate his throat farther but how could he deny the strangely colored dragon fruit? The human reached out and started eating the fruit. It took until he swallowed to notice the pain it caused him but as if to keep Inmai from taking the fruit, Izuki picked up all the pieces and started stuffing them in his mouth three at a time. Of course, this lead to him nearly choking. The human coughed violently and gasped for air needing to take a drink to wash it all down. Once he was all set, he went back to eating the fruit just slightly slower. Of course, his throat now felt like it had a severe burn on the back of it and was dry and scratchy. It probably was best for him to stop eating the fruit... especially at the rate he was devouring them. No wonder Inmai worried that Izuki wouldn't eat his meal. The demon had given him so much fruit that he would have ended up full from just these... though he did continue to eat even when he was full. Everything was alright though, Inmai was going to leave soon and Izuki would have to work on taking care of himself. He wanted to ask if he could look at any book he pleased but his burning and dry throat made asking such a simple question nearly impossible. Glancing around, there was no clock nearby that he could easily read but Izuki figured it was about time for Inmai to head out to that meeting. Noise Prince
Inmai wasn't quite sure if Vitamin C was it's own fruit for humans or not, but he hadn't heard of anything like that here. He wasn't too stressed about it though, he had found quite a few things that Izuki liked already. THey would still have to be careful with new foods for him to try, but for the most part, it seemed that everything was pretty safe, and he liked a lot of it. Inmai wasn't watching Izuki too carefully now, as it felt a little weird to be watching him so intently to watch his reactions. Plus, he knew he liked his dragon fruit already. He did notice that he seemed a little different now when he ate, nearly choking on trying to eat too many at once. Inmai chuckled and reminded him that the demon wasn't going to steal it from him and he could take his time. He was a little worried that it would hurt his throat, but Izuki continued to eat them at his leisure so Inmai didn't think anything of it. (7) He checked the time, leaning back to be able to see the clock better. He wondered, since Izuki couldn't read, if he couldn't tell the time either. He hadn't much time to spend with Izuki before he needed to leave. He finished his fruit before Izuki, but he attributed that to having less fruit, and Izuki making himself full with omelet. He was a tad suspicious, though. Inmai took his own plate back into the kitchen, rinsing it in the sink. He realized this was probably the last time he'd wash Izuki's plate for him. That was a silly thought, since they'd probably take turns washing each other's once in a while, but it did stick out in his mind. "Hey, Izuki, are you almost done?" He asked, while filling his water bottle up so he'd have something to drink while he was at the meeting, as he usually did when he left him for extended periods of time. Inmai looked back and saw something rather strange in the human's expression. "Izuki, everything okay?"
WolfDog12
Izuki couldn't take it anymore and placed the last several pieces of his fruit down and drank the rest of his water. His throat was so raw at the moment that even drinking water stung and hurt. Still, he finished it off and got up to take his water bottle. Inmai was asking if he was ok but he couldn't exactly respond as he drank his water bottle until there was nothing left. "Salt?" he whispered quietly. Demons had to have salt... it was such a basic thing. Izuki also handed Inmai back his glass and water bottle hoping to have both of them refilled. Izuki would put a load of salt into the glass of water and swished it around before putting in his mouth to gargle. It was nasty and tasted terrible but at least the human could clean out his throat so it would heal a little quicker. Then it was just a matter of rest. He wasn't getting any vitamin c so this was all he could do. The human wasn't planning on eating any more until Inmai returned. So, he gave the demon a small hug good bye and then crawled onto the bed and laid down to try and rest. He wasn't really all that tired but he had to sleep it off. When Inmai got back, Izuki was hoping to feel much better. It worked out. Izuki managed to fall asleep an hour after Inmai left and woke about an hour before he came back. Izuki's throat was feeling much better already. His voice would still be a bit lost but so long as he didn't strain himself anymore, he'd be alright. Of course, when he woke up, he was pretty bored and got up to walk over to the book shelf. He looked at the books unsure of what any of them were titled. With a small huff, Izuki noticed that he hadn't even gotten dressed yet and quickly looked around for his clothes. They had been cleaned and looked great so he quickly changed into them before waiting patiently for Inmai to return from the meeting. It really did seem to take a long time for this meeting but Izuki wasn't nearly as worried now. He was even there at the door to greet Inmai when he returned. The human had made his choice to be a great pet cat.
Noise Prince
Inmai's eyes widened when his familiar took the water bottle and drank the entire thing down rather quickly before his eyes. He shook his head, and figured out what was wrong, especially when he asked for salt. That was a pretty common staple here as well, for food and for quick solutions such as sore throats. He must not be too used to yelling and screaming, if Inmai knew, he wouldn't have given him any fruit at all. It clearly made things much worse for the poor creature. Inmai moved the salt towards Izuki, and picked up his glass and filled it up again with water. Izuki filled the glass with a generous amount of salt, while Inmai filled his water bottle, watching him take the salty liquid in his mouth, then gargle it against his throat. He stepped aside so he could spit it out in the sink, and patted his back sympathetically. "I need to leave now," He told him, and was given a quick hug goodbye, and immediately scampered back into bed. Inmai smiled, finding it cute that he so comfortable in that bed now. "Sleep tight," He told him, smiling, and picked up his schoolbag out of habit, before setting it back down and taking out the text books, before leaving his cat behind at home. The meeting started shortly after Inmai arrived. His professor from the summoning class was there, as well as a few professors that were heads of departments. He only knew two of them. The rest of the demons he didn't know. The meeting started slow and tedious, and sometimes things had to be repeated because Inmai wasn't paying attention due to boredom. But other than that, it wasn't too terrible a process, especially for what he and Izuki were getting out of it- security that Izuki could stay. The meeting didn't last as long as Inmai feared, either, as it seemed no one was really all that suspicious of him secretly doing more advanced magic to summon a border-line illegal creature instead of his actual assignment. So he got to trot back home earlier than he expected. He didn't get home until later, though, since he went to the markets to pick up some juice that wouldn't hurt his throat as well as some candy, so he could still have something sweet. He hoped he liked demon candy. Inmai opened the door to his apartment, wondering if Izuki would still be asleep, when he saw that instead Izuki was wide awake, dressed, and waiting for him. Inmai's face lit up. "You're already up!" He exclaimed. "I've got you something here,"
WolfDog12
Inmai was quick to greet Izuki as well seeing that he was up. It was strange that it was a shock for him but that wasn't too big of a deal. Not now anyway. They were finally going to go out and get him a charm and some ice cream. Of course, Izuki was also fairly excited to see what the demon master had brought for him. Izuki looked in the bag and found the juice that was bought. So he even had time to go to the store? What the heck? How short was this meeting? "Thank you," He strained in a quiet and broken voice that sounded raspy and actually kind of funny to listen to. "Can I have some now?" Of course he had to re-think that right away. "If it isn't going to make things worse?" There was no complete set tone for Izuki's voice and it just sort of bounced up and down as it pleased. Honestly, it was quite strange even for him but the human was learning to ignore it as he spoke. Whether He was allowed to have any or not, it wasn't too much longer after that where the two were able to head out. Every time Izuki saw the outside, it made it harder to go back and sit in the room all day because he just wanted to see more and more and do more and more. He was a kid seeing the world for the first time and it was the best feeling he'd ever felt before. The purple-haired male grabbed the cell phone off the charger and hurried after his master being sure to stick close. Several demons jeered again and glared at a distance, however, when one did try to approach, Izuki made a slight hissing sound like a cat, though not too deep so he wouldn't hurt his throat, and he then moved in closer to Inmai as he avoided the demon entirely. Izuki was so determined to be Inmai's pet cat that he was starting to act like it instead of lashing out the way he had been recently. This time he managed to get the demon to back off without trying to punch his lights out. They got to the store where Izuki could get a charm but apparently they had to make Izuki a custom one since he was a human and they didn't have anything like that in this small town. Of course, there were plenty in the large city but this was just a smaller town with the human population having just increased from 0 to 1. The process would take about two to three days so it seemed Izuki would have to deal with going a short while longer without the charm. Izuki just pulled gently at Inmai's sleeve so they could move on to the ice cream now.
Noise Prince
Inmai had initially been planning on resting at home for a while, watching Izuki tasting the different flavors and kinds of candies before heading out, but he could tell Izuki seemed much more interested in leaving. He had been cooped up indoors all day, and was so fascinated by this new world he had ended up in, so it was natural that he'd be jumping at the chance to go out. The candies would wait. "Sure, thing. I bought it because of your throat, it should make you feel good." Inmai told him, and poured him a quick glass, filling it about half way so he could drink it quickly before they would leave for the charm and ice cream. He placed the bag of candies on the counter. Poor Izuki, his throat made him sound so peculiar. It was quite funny, but Inmai didn't want to embarrass him. He hoped that the juice didn't end up being a harmful substance, and would actually help soothe his sore throat. When he finished his glass, Inmai finally took him outside. He could see a change in Izuki when he was outside versus when he was inside. It was not unlike when he was looking at the different creatures and beasts in that book they had looked at together. There was such an allure to his curious, observant expression. Izuki walked close to his master the closer they got to where it was crowded. Inmai had considered, briefly, keeping the boy on a leash when they went out in public, to keep him close, and more importantly make it clear that he was not public property, but in fact belonged to someone. But that would only seem like an unfair punishment, since Izuki hated it so much. If other demons did persist as a problem though, he might have to have to employ a leash anyway. But for now, Izuki was off the hook and would walk freely at his side, so long as he stayed close. Inmai could tell that demons were leering, but Inmai was keeping a close eye on his familiar. Izuki was still feeling self-defensive, and hissed at someone who tried to approach them, but Inmai could hardly blame him. He didn't get violent, after all, and kept the rude demon at bay. Inmai led him into the shop where they could get the charm for Izuki to be able to use water. After talking to the shopkeeper, who was a little distracted by having the human in his shop, they learned that him being human was a special case and that getting him a charm would be a challenge. Surprise surprise. They were told that they'd have the charm ready in a few days once they got the right materials to make such a thing suitable for a human being. "Did you think I forgot?" Inmai cracked a smile when Izuki tugged on his sleeve as they left the store. "Don't worry, I didn't forget your ice cream."
WolfDog12
Izuki took the glass of juice and drank it as he was told. It was a dark burgundy color but it tasted exactly like orange juice. After the first sip, he pulled it away staring at it for a while. "It's orange juice," he said quietly more for himself than for anything else. Anyway, Izuki drank the strange juice without any problems and placed the glass aside so they could head out. There had to be some way to show these demons that Izuki wasn't public properly... Anything would work for him at this point.... He just wanted to be left alone and not have to walk everywhere while looking over his shoulder and being aware of everyone when everyone hated him so much. The human wanted to be able to look around at the world around him and not around at the people jeering or possibly approaching. Izuki just had to stick close to Inmai and be careful that should anyone actually approach him, he would have to be careful not to lash out at them. This was harder than it seemed. Thankfully, outside of the school, far fewer people actually approached them. It was strange, most all of the demons that got close or tried touching him happened to be part of the academy Inmai was schooled at. Maybe it was an age thing? That would make sense. They made it to the charm shop and it was no surprise that the demon owning it had a grand reaction to the human being in his store. Izuki of course just stayed close to his master and the demon seemed to understand and brushed it off trying to relax a little. He just said that it would require some extra work for the charm... no surprise there either. At least they could come back later for it and focus on getting the ice cream now. Inmai seemed to find it cute that Izuki pulled at his sleeve but it wasn't like the human could even talk properly with his voice being as strange and pathetic as it was. Anyway, when they walked in, Izuki glanced around hoping to find Zulu-chan around. At first, he didn't see her anywhere.
Noise Prince
I thought I had already replied?! I'm so sorry! "Well…" Inmai saw the dark color of the juice and couldn't really see how it was orange, but figured he was talking about taste, that it tasted like orange? The language enchantment on the human couldn't cover everything, it seems. So Inmai shrugged it off. As long as he could drink it and feel better, he wasn't going to complain about what he wanted to call it. Inmai might just consider carrying his familiar on his back, to make it very clear who he belonged to, and make it clear that harassing Izuki could not be done without also harassing Inmai, and that they didn't just have the wrath of a human to deal with if they wanted to try to grope him. But that would be a lot more tedious than a collar and leash. Maybe he could talk to Izuki about it, if he would like a solution like that, even if it was a bit embarrassing. It was constantly grating on the demon, how shamelessly people gawked at the boy or made obscene gestures. He could understand being curious or interested, but he thought the bizarre sexualization of humans was a largely city-demon thing. He had no idea such attitudes were so prevalent here. Inmai hoped soon everyone would get used to him, and the idea that he was in fact, not being used for sex and certainly not up for grabs. It was disappointing to not go home with a charm, but Inmai thought that it was an alright thing for him, personally. He liked caring for Izuki, and making sure he had water when he needed it. And this would give him some time to really appreciate that, before it was gone and izuki was getting his own water. It was a silly thing to be sentimental about, especially considering how short a time it's been. It was a lot more practical just to have Izuki get his own water. But now, it was time to focus on ice cream. It would be the highlight of the day, even more so than seeing on paper that Izuki belonged to him. He wondered if he would be up for that interview with Zuluzen, but if his throat was too sore, then he'd have to promise to bring him back yet another day. He lead his familiar down the path and towards the ice cream shop, bringing him inside. Zuluzen was not at the counter, which was unfortunate. He hoped she was working right now. And moments later, she came out from the back, carrying a very heavy looking bucket of fresh ice cream. Her eyes lit up when she saw the two of them, as if she hadn't seen them in ages. "Hey! Glad you're ba-aauuuch-ck!" She hoisted the tub up onto the counter, and slid it into the open slot, successfully replacing the flavor that ran out. WolfDog12
Izuki clearly wanted to see Zuluzen and when she came out from the back carrying the ice cream tub, he hurried over to the counter to see her. The teen was careful not to talk too much because he didn't want to really show off his lack of voice. The human pulled out his phone and showed it to her. He then turned on the picture mode and pointed it to her. "Smile," Izuki said quietly before snapping the pic. For a demon, she was still quite pretty to him and he wrote down a few things before putting his phone away. The interview was nearly impossible today but that was alright. He got down some major information and could remember a bit from when they had come here just yesterday. Seconds after having put his phone away, Izuki pulled it out again and looked at it. There were other notes still in his phone. So, Inmai hadn't deleted the information after all. Wow.. not that that should be unexpected. Inmai was a very kind demon who ultimately wanted Izuki to be happy. "Zulu-chan? Do you have a familiar?" He inquired. Izuki hadn't asked before and knew nothing about it. She could have a small and concealed familiar or one big enough that it had to hide outside. Maybe she didn't have one yet. It seemed Inmai had never had any kind of familiar before Izuki so it was possible that she hadn't gotten one yet.... Still, hopefully she had so Izuki could find out more and learn what kinds of familiar she might have. It was a pity that they couldn't read the same language or Izuki certainly would write down all of his questions for her to answer. Eventually he'd be able to read and write in their language but by then his throat would be long healed and talking would be really easy. "Sorry, Zulu-chan. I want to have the interview but my throat can't take too much at once.... plus this voice is a bit embarrassing," He admitting extremely quietly almost impossible for her or even for Inmai to be able to hear him... and they were right there near him. Noise Prince
Once she set down the ice cream, and looked up to see her friends, she was confronted with a funny looking device being held up towards her. It took her a few moments to realize it was a phone camera thing. She wasn't sure how she looked when Izuki asked her to smile for a picture, so she quickly smoothed down her hair a little, and smiled, holding as still as possible. She waited until he lowered the phone to move again, unsure of how long it would take for the picture to form. Izuki was fiddling with something, and she assumed it had something to do with the picture. She waited patiently, expecting him to ask her a few questions, but he ended up putting the phone camera away. Then pulled it back out. Zuluzen wondered if he had forgotten then remembered. She was looking forward to answering some of his questions, the whole thing was exciting for her, though she didn't expect his first question. "Oh," She was not expecting that voice of his. It was a little cute, so raspy! It made him sound like he was over-excited. Maybe he excerpted himself too much earlier and threw out his voice. But he seemed so mild. "Well, no. Not yet." She said, almost ruefully. "But someday~ Maybe I'll get a human, too!" She said with a whimsical smile. She wasn't too much younger than Inmai, merely a year, but she was behind on her schooling due to traveling. She didn't regret it at all, but the fact that she'd have to wait a bit longer to get a familiar was a harsh pay off. Zuluzen wondered if Izuki knew just how special he was. "Oh, dear…" Her expression quickly dropped once she was able to decipher what his tiny voice had said. It was so quite, and the rasp didn't make anything clearer. "Are you getting sick?" She shot Inmai a quick glare, as if to blame him. Inmai jumped a little, she didn't know how close she was on the mark, even though he wasn't ill. "It probably won't help with the pain, but I think your voice sounds cute raspy," Zuluzen added, though the sound was likely not a top concern for the human. "Guess we'll have to come back another day for the interview." Inmai said, a promise to them both, and smiled. "But now, we'll just have to settle for ice cream, right, Izuki?" WolfDog12
Izuki couldn't help but feel bad when Zuluzen shot him that look... it kind of was his fault but also Izuki's for misunderstanding and blowing up the way that he did. Still, he also felt bad that he brought up the familiar when she clearly wanted to summon one of her own. "Don't worry, you'll get a much better familiar than me and I can't wait to see." He continued to speak quietly knowing just how weird his voice was. Izuki was just too conscious of certain things like this. When the thought of coming back was actually an option, he smiled a bit and settled with the ice cream today. Izuki looked at the flavors again and wondered if he should have the same one as yesterday or to change it up with a different flavor. After a minute of thinking to himself, the small human looked up at Inmai wondering what his thoughts on the ice cream were. Clearly he cared to know. Finally, after settling on a flavor, Izuki took just one scoop since he didn't know how it would work on his throat. This ice cream was different from human ice cream after all and even sweet fruit really hurt so who knows. He did take a bite and it was surprising to find that it actually went down smoothly and helped sooth his throat. The gentle smile on the human's face probably gave it away that this actually was really what he needed to be eating. "Thank you, Inmai," he stated happily. It was easy to notice that Inmai and Zuluzen were watching him to see if everything was alright and he looked away. Izuki wasn't a huge fan of this kind of attention making him feel a bit weak where even ice cream could ultimately be his downfall... the thought had to quickly be forced out of his head or it wold have completely ruined the day even more than it felt like it had been. Noise Prince
Zuluzen hadn't meant to make Izuki feel bad for asking a simple question. It wasn't exactly like familiars were a sensitive topic or anything. It was just that there was something very powerful culturally, almost spiritually, about a demon's connection with a familiar. She didn't regret her decision to put it off, but she also knew the weight of that choice in having to wait a little longer to get her own. She smiled at his comment, though it took her a little to understand him again, his voice still soft and raw. Oh he was cute. Inmai caught that smile when he announced a third visit. Such a precious expression he thought he could sneak past! Izuki was looking over the ice cream, though he had little means to know what kind of flavors they were. Inmai decided he should have something that didn't have any fancy candy or fruits added to it, just in case. Plus, smooth ice cream would be more soothing on his throat. He picked another chocolate one that had something akin to marshmallow cream in it, though more light in consistency. "This one is similar to what he had before," He told him. If they agreed, he'd just get one scoop for each of them today. They both took their ice cream once they chose. He watched Izuki took a bite of his ice cream, hoping that it would be good for his throat, or that he'd at least like it. A small smile curled over his lips after the first bite, and Inmai gave him a much larger grin himself. Zuluzen had also been watching, resting her chin in both hands, elbows on the counter. "You're welcome," Inmai told him, and gently ruffled his hair. Izuki didn't always respond well to being the center of attention, but it was his fault for eating ice cream like it had been several years since the last time. Being so cute wasn't going to help him, either. But he tried not to stare at him eat his entire scoop. Inmai was about to suggest they sit down, but Izuki probably didn't want to do that right now, and he didn't want to put him on the spot to refuse, either. WolfDog12
Izuki was so happy to be spending time outside with Inmai and to be able to meet some of his friends. Most of them were extremely accepting of Izuki being a human and other then the touching and groping, he was feeling pretty good about being outside. Sure, everyone hated seeing a human, probably because of the influence of not seeing one around here and the only ones actually around were in the city and used for sex. The problem wasn't just the fact that it was city verse the country side, it was the fact that the only place where humans were was where they were being used for sex so it didn't matter where in the world they were, that precedent had been set and so everyone thought it was how it worked. This was like some lame rumor that ran around the high school. People didn't actually believe it until it spread more and more and suddenly it is "true" because enough people believe it to be. When it came to the ice cream it actually was a bit surprising to have Inmai also only go with one scoop. He thought the demon would go with at least two. That was alright. They didn't need much because they already knew they'd be coming back at some point probably soon. And of course, when Izuki thanked his master for the ice cream, his hair was ruffled and it kept the shape. There was seriously something weird about his hair. The human furrowed his brow for a moment before quickly fixing his hair. Izuki smiled a bit showing that he wasn't upset. "This ice cream is definitely better than back on Earth. Thank you Zulu-chan." Izuki smiled at her and had actually spoken up a bit more this time after having seen her struggling to understand what it was he was saying. Without the interview though, this stay didn't last as long as expected. Still, the two stuck around for a little while so Inmai and Zuluzen could chat and hang out for a while as Izuki stood around enjoying his ice cream. The only reason he wouldn't want to sit down was because of his butt still being red and tender. If they had gotten too comfortable, who knows how long it would be before Izuki had to get up or even be unable to walk after. That would be incredibly embarrassing unless he was passed out or something. He already had been burned and spanked twice, he didn't need anything else added onto the embarrassing pain. Noise Prince
Inmai was rather fortunate that the two friends he had introduced Izuki too were by far the most considerate that he knew. Both thought he was fascinating and adorable rather than some weird sexy flesh toy, and had been hands-off. Quite a few people had come up and talked to Inmai, curious about his human familiar. Some were genuinely curious about him as a human, others clearly wanted to know if Inma 'acted like a city dweller' with him. But even in the most well-meaning, a majority seemed to had an eerie interest in Izuki, so Inmai was reluctant to answer even innocent inquiries about his purple-haired cat. He might not be able to change their minds about whatever they had decided about Izuki, humans in general, so he wasn't about to give them information about him that they would only take to confirm their own biases. And the more he thought about it, the more transparent it was. They wouldn't ever ask about the things he liked to eat or his technology. No, they would ask almost what could be described as second-hand voyeuristic questions about his modesty, his temperament, how he dealt with him when he was too unruly. They were clearly more interested in him as a human than him as a person. It came off as unsettlingly fetishistic. Inmai had presumed at this point that humans inherently had hair that was so conforming to whatever form in was left in, but it was still fascinating to see it's resistance to a neat form. He may have accepted it as common to humans, but Izuki was his first and only human, so it was still a bit novel to him. He smiled back at Izuki once he fixed his hair, quickly coming the strands into submission. He was happy that Izuki was more accepting of his affection, and that ruffling didn't earn him an Izuki-grade scowl. Zuluzen's face lit up at such praise, though she had not a clue about what earth ice cream was really like, and what sort of standard she had surpassed. She understood him perfectly now. "You're very welcome!" she told him. The stay wasn't terribly long this time, with just one scoop each, but they ate it entirely in store. Zuluzen didn't have many customers at this time, so she could leisurely partake in the conversant as well, though a bit absent mindedly since she was washing down the counters to keep herself busy. Once they finished the ice cream, Inmai threw their trash away. Izuki beating the larger demon once again, but only by a few scoops. Inmai's face was just so in awe over Zuluzen's ice cream he couldn't concentrate on his own. "So, are you ready to head back home, Izuki?" He asked him. WolfDog12
It was nice to stay and hang out for a while even if they couldn't talk for a long time but they could always come again so Izuki wasn't all that worried about it. The human nodded in agreement that he was ready to go back. They had finished off their ice cream scoops and said their goodbyes to Zuluzen before heading out and returning to the dorm room. "Thank you Inmai..." It seemed like there was more to it that Izuki wanted to say to his demon friend but there was no way he was going to actually admit to any of it so he just kept his mouth shut for now. The two returned home without any added problems and no one that they passed once they got back to the school tried anything this time either. There were still looks but at least no one came nearby or attempted to touch or anything. So, Inmai and Izuki returned home without any added issues. Once they were home, the human walked over to his corner and laid down. "I'm just going to relax for a while but if you need anything you can just call to me," He stated and laid so that he was on his side even though he wanted to be on his back. The only problem was that Izuki's ass still hurt so he couldn't really lean on it in any way. He just had to deal with the pain for a while longer until it was fully able to cool down and not be throbbing the way that it was. "Hey, Inmai? Can we start learning to read tomorrow? I really want to get to the point of reading all those books on your selves. I hate seeing the books but not being able to actually understand one word out of them." Izuki really did want to start as soon as possible but starting now would be hard since he should be sitting up properly and could barely sit up at all with his ass in its current condition. Noise Prince
It was a really nice outing, it let Inmai unwind after all the bureaucratic stuff in that meeting about Izuki. It didn't take them long to finish off their ice cream, but it was enough for now, especially if this was going to become a regular part of their routine. Double scoops would get excessive after a while. He raised his eyebrow when Izuki thanked him, something in his tone seemed like he intended to say more, and was ready for it. But he ended with the thanks. Inmai was curious if he was hiding something, but naturally felt it wouldn't end well to push it. "You're welcome, Izuki." He told him after a pause to see if he might continue what he wanted to say. But as usual, Izuki was fine not saying anything more than necessary. He really was such a cat. Maybe he actually summoned some human-cat hybrid creature. Cats tended not to like leashes, though, right? The image of Izuki with that collar around his neck, scowling as he was tethered to the wall. A leash probably wouldn't be his go to solution for harassment… They walked back to the dorms with ease, not too many people were particularly leering or threatening to get to close now on their way back. Izuki's presence would eventually cease to be novel, Inmai considered. Maybe the more he brought him out, the more bored people would get, and they would start to leave him alone. Maybe he could get his familiar to agree to a collar and leash until that happened. They walked into their room, and Izuki beelined for his corner. Inmai was about to open his mouth and ask if he needed to be left alone, when Izuki let him know, before he could ask, that he was just lounging. He nodded. "Thanks for letting me know." Inmai said, and sat down and reached for a textbook with several tags sticking out. He was fine with a bit of quiet for the both of them, Inmai himself hadn't had a break from interaction since the meaning. After a few moments of silence, Izuki spoke up again. "Oh!" He smiled wide. "Of course we can!" Inmai nodded enthusiastically. It was official, he was here forever, so it made it a lot more worthwhile to teach him how to read and write. "Tomorrow it is. Are you sure you don't want to do it later tonight?"
WolfDog12
Izuki hadn't even paid attention to the fact that Inmai had gotten himself a book to look over while they were going to have some time to themselves and relax. It just sucked because he knew just how amazing reading was and how he didn't like being disturbed so he really shouldn't be bothering the demon but still, this was a pretty important topic. "Alright, later tonight sounds fine." Ok, so his ass still hurt... oh well, he'd just rest it until they started. Izuki knew he couldn't learn to read a new language in one day so he'd have to spread it out as it was but at least this was going to be a start. Honestly, Izuki wanted to be able to read children's books all on his own without any help by next weekend. That may be a bit ambitious but the faster he learned, the closer he seemed to get to that shelf so close yet so far away. It was a goal. Anyway, while Inmai got to his book, Izuki laid there comfortably and rested himself for a while trying to get prepared for learning in just a while. Maybe they'd even spend the whole day learning to read. That'd be nice. Izuki grabbed his back pack and pulled out the few school books he had with him when he was pushed and fell into the summoning spell. The human happened to have his psychology book on him and opened it up to begin reading a bit. Sure it wasn't the biggest page turner he'd ever read, but it got the job done and he was able to enjoy it none the less. Learning about this, heck maybe it would help him when dealing with the demons around him... probably not but who knows. At least this was a language he understood.... The human then took notice of his iPod and wondered if Inmai could understand the words of the songs. Izuki could but they couldn't read each other's language so did that also mean that they couldn't understand the words if they weren't spoken in person? Izuki stood up and grabbed his iPod off the desk and thought long and hard about it before finally turning to Inmai. "Can we try a little experiment?" he asked and walked closer, taking out his head phones. "I want to know if you can understand the words to this song," He said and played the music through the small speaker on the device.
Noise Prince
Inmai considered making something warm to drink, deciding that it would be better to do it later, when Izuki was finished in his corner, and they could enjoy a drink together. Maybe while he gave Izuki his lesson. He had been preparing to need to teach him how to read, but he still hadn't figured out how to go about it. But for tonight it wouldn't hurt to teach him the basics of their alphabet, the easy, child-friendly part, anyway. Then, if he caught on quickly enough, he's start with the words. It dawned on him that Izuki must be hearing him speak in how own human language. How eerie. But that also meant that when he couldn't read, he might also not understand the words even if he can read them. How was he going to get over that if it become an obstacle? That would be something to deal with when it arose, so he put it off his mind for now. 7 "Alright, it won't be a long lesson," Inmai promised, since he sensed that Izuki was a little reluctant for some reason. It took him a while to realize that it might be because of his sore ass. He tried not to laugh, or smile, at the thought. He couldn't stop doing things after a spanking just because it made things more inconvenient. He remembered his resolve to insist he shower, and not wait for days again. Besides, his butt would be considerably less sore tomorrow, but still pretty sore, and he wanted to learn at some point, right? He could do with a bit of discomfort while learning the alphabet. The script was a pain to get right, anyway. It'd take his mind off the pain on his butt in no time. He continued with his reading, and watched Izuki in the corner of his mind get out a book with weird markings on it, clearly his own language. It looked so bizarre to him, he couldn't imagine being able to look at that and tell what it said, though Izuki likely thought the same of the language he was about to learn. "Uh, sure, we can experiment" Inmai looked up, a skeptical look on his face. But Izuki had to adapt to so much, it wouldn't be fair to turn down an experiment of his familiar's concoction, even if he was a little weary about his singing creature. "What kind?" "Oh, okay," That wasn't so bad. He hadn't thought about that himself. The singing thing began to sweetly serenade them with a melody, and a rich voice rang out. It was a beautiful song, but completely bizarre. That sounded like nothing familiar to Inmai. His eyes widened. Was this what Izuki sounded like?! What this what he sounded like to Izuki?! "This… it's your language…" He gasped softly.
WolfDog12
Izuki wasn't too worried about the length of the lesson because he only wanted to learn the basic alphabet or characters.... well whatever it was they used. Sure he didn't want to really be sitting on his ass but whatever... learning to read was probably more important to him anyway since it could really take him far. Anyway, Izuki got up and tried the experiment with the music. Amazingly, Inmai couldn't actually understand the lyrics to the song. That certainly was a great discovery and the small human grabbed his phone and spoke into the recording. "This is an experiment," He said and stopped the recording. Izuki then played the recording and surprisingly enough, when it was played, Inmai could understand it as his own language. That was strange... shouldn't it have come out sounding in Japanese? Maybe the other way would work. "Here, try speaking into it." He held it out in front of Inmai for him to be able to talk into the phone. When he finished, Izuki stopped the recording again and played it out loud. He looked absolutely stunned. "I can understand it!!! So, it must be me. When I came to this world, I learned how to speak and understand your language!! So you can't understand Japanese but...." He thought about it for a long while. "I don't get it, I can't tell if I'm speaking a different language... to me it all sounds the same..." This really was a strange experiment because Izuki couldn't tell the difference between the two spoken languages... and yet, clearly he was speaking and understanding something completely foreign to him. Reading clearly was different fundamentally but maybe the language changer could only go so far as ears and speech... After all, a kid could learn to speak and not know how to read. "Do you think I'd be able to speak Japanese again if I was back home? I'm not saying I want to return but I wonder if I'd still be speaking this language when I got there... Probably not right, there is no magic in my world so I'd only be able to speak and understand Japanese and not you if you were able to go there..." Izuki seemed so happy about this but it wasn't the fact that Inmai wouldn't understand or that he could speak two languages when in this world. He was happy because he felt like he discovered something that no one on Earth would even have the chance to learn. It was like his own little scientific break through.
