Noise Prince
Little Red Riding Hood is an old, old cautionary tale, often about the importance of heeding your parents' warnings, and avoiding strangers. But like with any folk tale, any story passed down for ages and ages, there are many variations. This is one not for warning potential Riding Hoods about the dangers of strange wolves in the woods who intend to devour them, however. This one is a warning for those potential wolves, and the dangers of stalking prey beyond your power to take. "The Big Bad Wolf is walking about the woods one day, and finds himself a very special prize indeed, a human in a red cloak carrying a basket of food. Now, the Wolf comes to the human, whose goes by Little Red Riding Hood, or usually just Red, as the name is quite long and he's much too grown to be called 'little' now. The Wolf intends to befriend Red, and trick him back home so he can eat him and his basket in piece. But Red is naturally wary of him, since he had been warned ever since he was little by his parents before their untimely deaths not to talk to the strange animals in the woods, and especially not the wolves. But Red is kind, and sympathetic when he hears the Wolf's stomach growling, and breaks off a piece of bread to satisfy his hunger. Now Wolf had always been told by his parents growing up that he should be mindful of how hungry he was versus the hunt, and if it was really worth it. Conventional wisdom should have taught him to be thankful for the bread and retire for the day. But Wolf was feeling much too ambitious, feeling this Red was too good a treat to pass up. He learned that Red was visiting his grandmother, so he pretended to fare him well and leave. But Wolf knew where the house was, and he was faster than Red, and got to the small cottage before him. He contemplated eating the grandmother as well, but when he walked into the house, he didn't have that opportunity. Red hadn't mentioned that his dear sick old grandmother was in fact, a witch. Red's grandmother cursed him, and bound him to her will. When Red arrived, he was surprised to see Wolf there, and more surprised that when his grandmother commanded, he took the basket and began serving the two of them. For the rest of her years, Red's grandmother was served and tended to by the one who would have eaten her and her grandson. While Wolf resented his forced servitude, more so when Red came for his frequent visits, as it only reminded him of his wrong doings, he didn't hate the grandmother. She was quite harsh with him, most of the time, berating him or even striking him with switches or birches for what Wolf perceived as minor offenses, but she was never cruel to him. He grew quite fond of her over the next few years in her service, and he thought she was quite fond of him. So much so, he assumed that her death would mean his freedom. In her last days, Red stayed with them in the small house in the woods, an awkward truce between the men as they tended to the witch in her final days. Eventually she died, peacefully, in her terms, while holding Red's hand. Everything she had was left to her grandson, and that included Wolf. Wolf accompanied Red reluctantly back to town where he lived, and his curse of servitude continued. Normally this is the end of the story, but for us, it's merely the prelude. For this role-play, I'm looking for a partner to play as Red, I'll be Wolf (who is a human with wolf ears and tail, as per standard). I'd also like a partner who: -Can reply fairly often (life happens and I'm patient, but I'd like to have it be somewhat regular most of the time) -Is 'semi-literate' - replies with at least a paragraph or more. I don't need epics or anything, but a bit of meat to sink my teeth into is nice. And I value content more than length so don't feel bad for not replying with chunks of text if you can't muster that much our in a response. Red can be uke/seke/seme in terms of 'position' so long as he acts dominant to Wolf (who is a seke). He doesn't have to sexually dominate him, that doesn't have to be part of the dynamic right upfront (but I also wouldn't mind that *cough cough*) He can be a witch as well, or a craftsman, or whatever you'd like. The setting is sort of 'European fairytale' though. If you'd like to role-play with me, please reply below, and I'll pm you! If you like this and someone else took the spot, and you want to role-play something similar with me, send me a pm, I'd be delighted!
Riri
I would be honored to roleplay as Red. I am very active on here so I should be able to respond often. >
