Americandragon
What elements make up a good yaoi novel to you? My favorite current yaoi novel is War Prisoner, for me this novel had character depth for each character and the main characters were both intelligent strong men Does the yaoi action need to start for you right from the beginning? Or do you prefer the relationship to develop through each chapter? Do you prefer each yaoi main character to love one another immediately or do you prefer they fall in love gradually? Do you like the stereotypical aggressive seme and passive uke or do you prefer something different like in Same difference? (I know it's a manga but I really like it)
Kujaku
Does the yaoi action need to start for you right from the beginning? Or do you prefer the relationship to develop through each chapter? Nope, not necessarily. It really depends on the topic, but they both work for me. Do you prefer each yaoi main character to love one another immediately or do you prefer they fall in love gradually? Definitely gradually. When it happens immediately I feel like a lot of the anticipation and emotions are cut off. Like, I want to be teased a bit and have all kinds of crazy ideas, haha. Do you like the stereotypical aggressive seme and passive uke or do you prefer something different like in Same difference? (I know it's a manga but I really like it) I read so many novels and mangas where the seme is rather aggressive and the uke is passive that I crave for something else. Also, it gets really boring reading the same pattern over and over again. Ugh. Also, one of my fav novels ever is Immoral Darkness and I love that one because of Shiina Jun. His background fascinates me for some reason, and I think I always had some kind of weakness for this type of characters, both in novels and mangas and everything else. And another novel that I love is S, where the uke stands out quite a lot. This is also the first yaoi novel I ever read, so it will always have a special place to me. Aaaand there is also Yakuza Pride where again the uke is definitely not the shy type, hehe.
