Sasunarufan13
The first real yaoi anime I watched was Okane ga nai. I found the dvds at a store that sells both music, dvds and books and I bought the two dvds. It was a bit embarrasing when I went to pay them and I was secretly praying that the sales clerck wouldn't say anything about it :cuteonion50: Then I waited until my family was asleep before I watched it XD After that, I watched some yaoi anime I found on a website (the names escape me for the moment) and now I'm currently switching between Junjo Romantica and Gravitation
Guest FujoshiFTW
Out of pure curiousity I guess. I started reading it too for the same reason. After a couple of yaoi manga I started looking around to see there was an anime version. Not surprisingly, I found some and started watching. Quite a boring story, neh? Yurusumaji
I don't recall precisely how it happened, but I do recall part of it. Â I was having a discussion with a friend about how funny it was that, being the anime otaku I am, I had never really bothered to watch hentai. We got into a whole discussion over it and that night I finally plugged my headphones into hubby's laptop, lied head-to-feet with him and watched a couple. Then I started reading some hentai manga. I don't remember how exactly I started going about reading yaoi, but it happened only a day or so later. I think I was browsing through manga when I saw one, was interested and read it. Next thing I knew I was specifically looking for yaoi all the time. Compared to yuri and hentai, I enjoyed it a lot more. And thus a yaoi otaku was born ... entirely by accident, by my own curiosity. Kitty6773
When I began High school in 2010. I joined the schools anime club and they kept talking about Yaoi. I had no idea what was going on, like what the term seme of uke was. So I searched it up. My first Yaoi was Junjou Romantica. At first I was weirded out but I started to LOVE it. Thats how my love for Yaoi began.

zita3000
I don't watch anime, but I read manga. I remember the first yaoi manga I've ever read was Time Lag...I had checked it out from the library without even knowing it was yaoi. I forgot all about it. Then years later, I was looking at some good manga to read when I stumbled across Sakura Gari, from one of my favorite mangakas. I read it and LOVED it. Since then, I've been reading yaoi! Awkward Otaku.
well- xD my friend got me into it first, but i had originally liked shounen-ai, then one day i was like, hmmm am i ready for yaoi?) then thats when i read my first one shot. and then my expression- Â :cuteonion41::cuteonion25: xD yeah then i was basically hooked after that. ):"D
didz015
a good friend (friend 1) told me she likes BL,, i was open and game for it because the manga she let me read is a light one,, after a few days, she lent me her flash drive wanting to show more BL mangas.. i was shocked that the mangas were really hard-core.. their stories were also good, nice an romantic that is why i continued reading.. Â after a few days another friend (friend 2), showed me Gravitation, it was heart-warming, especially when the seme (sorry forgot their names) - being a popular novelist -admitted to the press that he is having a relationship with the uke who is a star... Â eventually, i realized that i'm surrounded by Yaoi-lovers, eventually, i became one of them,,, XD

Chaicha
watching? My first encounter with BL was when I watch Gravitation (Yuki kiss Shuichi in elevator), I scream, my heart can't stop pounding, and I can't even closed my mouth until the ending song finished foxy5 Â It takes a few second for me to get my mind back. just like a kid who want to know about everything, just like when I fall in love with someone, I begin to curious about this theme, I searched every inch about it, I found the diffrent between yaoi and shonen-ai, what is seme, what is uke.... :cuteonion44: the joyful come when I found so many yaoi in youtube (sensitive pornograph, ikoku iro koi, boku no sexual harassment, ect) and so many manga about it :Red_fox4:
StrawberryBunnys
I've always had a massive amount of love for anime/manga. One day, while surfing Facebook, I got in contact with my friend who I rarely talk to. We talked about topics that was possible to talk about but then there was a dead end that I had to ask her what she was doing. She told me she was watching anime and I got extremely curious, she told me that it was Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi and that was the very moment I fell in-love with it. And that, also was the moment that I just knew there was an anime genre for that!
amayakaida
it was between my exams . i was addicted to anime . i was watching bleach at that time . one morning i wake up and i just want to try something else . and that something else turn to Seitokaichou ni Chuukoku . it wasn't like i fell for yaoi from that moment . it was just that i find it more interesting than boyxgirl . after that i watch sekai-ichi hatsukoi and that was the time i really really fell for yaoi . Kanan
I was 13 when they announced that Gravitation will be aired in three months on a Hungarian anime channel. At that time I was a huge anime-freak, so I couldn't bear it and started watching it online before they started broadcasting it~ It really warmed my heart and then I decided to discover the world of bl*-* (My second yaoi anime was Sensitive Pornograph.) That's all c:
