ZX-MetalMonster
The first rays of sunlight fought their way over a mountain range in the distance but the flat land Shiloh walked across remained dark enough for him to remain a barely noticeable figure moving along the old road. He knew though that he would have nothing to fear even if the light of day revealed him, there was not a living thing but nothing at all close to him and the only things in view were the mountains to the left and the town some distance in front of him. The broad, barren field the cracked asphalt led him across was easy to monitor but after having walked the entire night without even a hint of trouble, the tall man had given up on looking over his shoulder and searching for danger altogether. It was a need for more supplies that had drawn Shiloh out of the shelter he'd grown accustomed to over the past few weeks and had convinced him to travel through barren land to this town. He still had both food and even a large amount of water but he knew no place to get more and this made him feel uneasy even though it wouldn't become an issue for some time. As he approached the houses and small shops on the outskirts of the town he tried to look through their windows and despite the darkness see the rooms inside and estimate if someone had been there before him and taken everything that was worth carrying. The things he'd gathered before his arrival to this small settlement were arranged and stored in a large backpack that, after hours of travel, was becoming a very unpleasant weight on his shoulders. He shifted uncomfortably and with a frown pulled on one of it's shoulder straps just as he walked into one of the shops and began to survey the empty shelves and counters. Like most places that still stood despite decades without human care, this small structure was cleared of both everything useful and even objects that could be used as nothing more than accessories. As he easily took note of this Shiloh sighed softly and turned back to the door, finding no reason to observe the location for any longer than the couple of minutes he'd already spared. This occurrence turned into a pattern as he ventured deeper into the town and he began to wonder if his long journey had been for nothing. It had finally become light outside during his search of numerous stores and even apartments and oddly only then he started to feel tired and decided to in stead look for a place to settle down for a time. A small building with three stories that was some distance away from the surrounding structures seemed like the best and nearest choice and Shiloh did a systematic check of all of it's rooms as he climbed to it's top floor. There, inside a spacious room that gave his a good view of the road leading up to the entrance of the building he placed down his things and started to rearrange the damaged but still usable furniture. There wasn't much to do besides making sure he and his things were at least partially concealed from whoever might enter through the door, so only minutes after he was seated on the old couch and fighting off sleep. DeliriousSin
Tenebris had settled down on the first floor of a small house, a place that had perfect view of the streets without him being in plain sight. To be fair, this town wasn't very big so the chances of anyone passing through was very slim. He enjoyed it that way, growing up he had learned to be distrustful of other people. Instead of being better than others and choosing the right path, Tenebris had strayed quite a bit and had done things that were rather dishonorable. Yet he had no regrets, he always did things with reason. That's why when he saw a tired-looking man enter a house across the street, he immediately started making a plan to rob the man of his items. He was confident of his own ability to fight and would take the other man on if it would come to it. He had a perfect view of the other man from his hide-out so he looked on as the other male started to rearrange the furniture. He also had a perfect view of the man dozing off. Tenebris didn't have to think twice and got ready, taking his rusty knife and much sharper short-sword and going downstairs, running across the street, stealthily entering the other house. He made sure he produced as little sound as possible as he walked up the stairs, quietly opening the door. He even went as far as to hold his breath, his weapons at hand to make sure that if the man was awake after all, he could immediately attack. ZX-MetalMonster
Confident that there is no one in such a distant and small town Shiloh didn't bother to even glance at the near by buildings and with his gaze search for danger. His eyes staid focused on the road that led to the entrance of the house all until he became too tired and comfortable on the old couch and fell asleep. He didn't remember to lie down but only slouched in his seat until he could lean back and rest his head on the couch as well. All of his things were hidden close by but not in arms reach but the blade he put most of his trust in to save him from an enemy was still strapped to his leg. It was unlikely that he would be able to pull it out of it's holster and swing it at another human very effectively after just being woken up, however it provided him with a sense of safety and he could with it shield himself if nothing else. Despite the long walk and hours without rest Shiloh couldn't fall into a deep sleep very easily and would every few minutes narrowly open his eyes and shift to adjust his position before loosing track of everything around him again. However these brief moment of being somewhat awake didn't help to notice an intruder had entered the room and it was mostly because there was no sound to announce the other man arrival.
