Plot: (I've been watching a long of demon/yokai animes recently so that's where this one came from) Anyway, MC is anything but a normal high schooler. While he seems like on to his friends, he isn't. MC can see things that others cannot; demons called yokai. He has a ton of spiritual energy and because of that, many yokai target him to eat him so they can obtain his powers. Of course, MC has no way to defend himself. He has no powers beyond being able to see the Yokai, so when he ran away looking for someplace safe to stay and hide, he comes across YC who is willing to help protect him from the yokai, at a price of course. YC can either be human or a yokai himself, it doesn't matter to me but YC is very powerful and he takes in MC and has him pay in whatever way you want. Payment can be something embarrassing or lewd, or it can just be chores around the house or something simple like that. That's up to you and how you see fit.

Bio: Takashi had been able to see Yokai since he was little, basically since he was born. This lead to a lot of problems growing up. Most of the time, when he saw a yokai, he would try to tell someone and they would all just call him a liar, but at the same time, when he did show that he could see and hear them, the demons would almost always attack him. Unable to take care of him, his own parents sent him off to live with relatives and it became a trend. Takashi was never able to settle in a school since he was moving so much and even ended up in the orphanage for a while before one family took him in and he refused to let them know of what he could see. Even still, he caused them a lot of trouble as more Yokai came after him. One day, Takashi was left running from a particularly dangerous yokai when...

On his way home from school, Takashi took a glance to his side and noticed something strange watching him. When he stopped and tried to figure out what it was, the yokai launched itself out of the bushes after him. Takashi ran into this a lot with his unusually large amount of spiritual powers. Even though he had enough spiritual powers to be able to see yokai as clear as humans without the aid of a spell or having to look through any kind of glass, he had no ability to use his power. Of course that was no help when he was getting injured every day because of demons attacking him.

 

This particular demon was nearly the size of a two story house and looked much like a bull but with one human hand and the teeth of tiger. Both eyes were white but had slits like cat eyes. It roared loudly and attacked the human that saw him. Since Yokai could hardly do anything to normal humans since they cannot touch each other, it is another story for those with high spiritual powers. Takashi screamed and dropped his school bag as he sprinted off into the woods. He had to find a place to hide, a place to go to get away from the Yokai. All the while, the huge creature came after him full speed.

 

Takashi was just about in its fangs when he suddenly slipped down a hill and crashed to the ground below while the yokai kept going forward right through the air. The human panicked and quickly hid himself behind a tree and some bushes trying to control his panting breath while the Yoaki turned around attempting to find him.

Bio: Yakoi is a yokai that resides in the yokai realm, not far from the realm of the human world. In this world, he is almost regarded as royalty in a sense. He is a rather powerful yokai and those with great power hold the most power and influence in that society. Yakoi takes interest in the human world and how they live their lives as if each person holds meaning and that humans are the only ones to physically exist in their world. On one particular day, he finds one human who seems to have a yokai sensing ability and is being chased by a decently powerful yokai. Being interested, he decides to intervene.. at a price...

Yakoi had just arrived in the human realm, going about a hobby of his he liked to call 'human watching'. It was quite interesting to see humans fret and argue and show so much emotion over some common every day things. This person was in a relationship with another person, this person was worrying about the scores on their test...Humans. You worry about such meaningless things in your lives when just beyond your realm there are demons far beyond your understanding that can easily tear you all to shreds. You are all so fragile..

 

As if sensing his boredom, he sensed quite a commotion coming from nearby. It seems as if a powerful yokai was running rampant about this realm...Yakoi grew curious and knew he would need to probably send the yokai back to their realm. What amused him most was a human, a human actually running away in fright and fear from the enormous yokai. Does this human possess such an ability to sense yokai? Well..today was certainly his lucky day.

 

Yakoi easily navigated the hill the human fell down, looking for the human around the tree line. He was easily able to spot the frightened human, approaching just behind him. "You seem to be having a little trouble there.." Yakoi spoke up with a small smirk, his dark red eyes glistening in anticipation of the fun he might have with this human. "I might be able to...help you with your troubles" He added in a quieter tone, leaning down at more his eye level.

Takashi was glancing behind him around the tree to see where the yokai had gone. The huge creature was gone but it was safe to assume it was still nearby searching for him. It was tough to end up in this situation and he was always being attacked by yokai just because he could see them.... Why was it he was the only one who could see them? Even that one time Takashi met an exorcist but even he couldn't see yokai the was he could. The exorcist in fact could only their blurry forms if he was looking through glass or in a mirror.

 

The human quickly took notice of the sound of rustling coming from right in front of him. Takashi jumped and turned to look but what emerged from the brush was actually something else. In fact, it looked human to him. Not paying attention to the eyes, Takashi quickly began to wonder what another human was doing in these woods... it was dangerous. "Trouble? No, I'm alright." Takashi smiled. This guy looked human to him so there was no way he was going to get him involved. Of course, what he said next was pretty strange and he crouched down to their eye level. Bright red eyes.... "C-can you see it?" He attempted. This could end in a very embarrassing moment but Takashi had to take that chance and hope he could see them.

 

Just as they were talking, the larger demon managed to find them and approached from the side. "There you are HUMAN!!" the demon snarled and attempted to eat Takashi again. The human screamed and fell over trying to escape. He covered his head and shut his eyes hoping for the best.

Hmm..puts on a rather confident air for being chased by a large yokai such as the one currently pursuing him. Not in trouble..? Are you being quite serious right now? Even in the face of death and danger you put on such a bold face...why? He was even smiling as if to mask his inner most fears. How amusing, not bothered at all by his more odd human appearance, he asked if he could see the creature. Oh, you think of me as a human do you? It amused him even more at how this human was acting.

 

His thoughts were interrupted by the loud roar of the yokai, ready to devour the human like an easily disposable chew toy. "That is quite enough with you.." Yakoi spoke with a soft chuckle, cracking his neck and easily pulling a demonic looking sword from what seemed like thin air. He was rather fond of using the demonic sword, the blade black as night and the helm as red as blood. The sword easily sliced into the large beast charging at the human, the beast no more.

 

"A rather boring battle.." Yakoi sighed as the sword disappeared as easily as it came into existence. "Now..human..You are lucky I felt like being generous today..But protecting you does come at a price. Now..you have a name, what is it?" He asked with a small smirk, folding his arms and looking down on the human.

Takashi had glanced back after he had fallen and noticed the other wielding a sword. Where the heck did that come from?! Where was he hiding such a large blade?! Oh no.... He so smoothly and easily sliced the oncoming bull demon in half like it was absolutely nothing. and the Yokai then disappeared into thin air having been killed. Yokai and spirits didn't have real physical bodies in this world so they couldn't just die and become part of the earth but instead vanished into the air like they never existed... it was a strange concept knowing just how many of them there were in this world.... heck, every time Takashi turned around there were multiple yokais hanging about.

 

Getting back to it, Takashi stared at the blade... it wasn't a human sword and when it vanished just as quickly as it seemed to have appeared, that gave every indication that this man wasn't actually human... crap... Takashi fully turned himself around and stared up at the demon before him now... for granted he did just save the human's life but now he was talking about payment? What could he possibly get from this kid. "It's Hijama... Hijama Takashi," he stated nervously almost not wanting to get off the ground.

 

Finally, Takashi got onto his feet and tried backing away from the other a bit. He only took a couple steps before stopping but wanted to at least make sure that he wasn't going to end up being killed or something. "Thank you for saving me... I didn't realize you were a Yokai as well..." Takashi didn't even bother inquiring what the other's name was as he nervously thanked the demon/spirit.

"Did you only just realize it now..? That I am not your average human and such...?" He smirked as he kept looking down on the other. He could see the humans face contorting from many emotions such as awe and shock. "So..your name is Hijama...I suppose that is a nice human name" Yakoi commented on the humans name as he never took his eyes off of him. Good, it seemed his very stare coming from his dark red eyes alone were enough to keep the human frozen in fear. Good, keep being obedient like this..You will make a very interesting pet.

 

Now he was backing away? "Oh now where do you think you are going?" He asked with a smirk, not moving to humor the humans fear. "You should be thankful, I don't just save anyone. And it seems that you are quite the special human.." He said, stepping closer. He reached out a hand as if he was about to touch him but retracted the hand. "Now, as payment..you are going to be what you might call a pet to me. When I decide your payment time is up, ill let you go" He smirked with a small dark type of chuckle.

Here he finally managed to not have anyone around him know that he was able to see these things.... Even if humans didn't know he could see them didn't mean he couldn't see them or wasn't always getting in all kinds of trouble because of these damn yokai.

"Not able to tell the difference?" Yakoi said with an amused tone to his voice. Could this human get anymore amusing than he already was currently? He seemed so innocent for being a human with the ability to see yokai such as himself. Here this human was talking to one like they were just another person having a near casual conversation. Anyone who could have a casual conversation with a yokai, beings that are not supposed to exist, jsut after being attacked by a large rampaging one.

 

Yakoi stood there silent for a moment, almost needing a moment to process what the human was saying. He didn't outright object or beg or plead to not do this but merely said he did not know how and wanted to continue with his human studies. A deep chuckle escaped from Yakoi's lips, highly amused by all this. "You really are interesting..I am not one for deals but you amuse me plenty with the way you talk to a powerful yokai who asked you to be their pet" He finally stopped chuckling. "I will graciously let you continue your studies but at any other time you are my pet. You will do as I say when I say to do so. Is that clear?" He smirked, wondering what sort of things a human could be useful for.

Takashi sighed for a moment before nodding. "Alright, I'll do it... you did just save my life after all. Still, I can't do everything so keep that in mind." The human really didn't know what he was getting himself into... What the heck did this guy even mean by pet? What kind of weird things was Takashi getting himself into with this yokai.... Honestly nothing good ever comes with dealing with yokai and yet, he always seems to get involved no matter how much he might not want to.

 

"Well thanks for saving me but I should probably head home now. I should try to get some studying in before dinner." With that, Takashi gave a quick but respectful bow and turned to walk away dropping the pet subject right there. He'd gotten himself into something weird but hey, maybe it won't be too bad.

"You really are something.." Tajik said with another chuckle. While he was not quite expecting this turn in coming to the human realm today, he was now leaving with a rather interesting pet. A pet human who could see the yokai and didn't know what they were getting themselves into. So willingly becoming a pet to a yokai, a powerful yokai, without even thinking it over. The fact he even agreed to the humans terms made it all the more interesting.

 

"Until we meet again.." Yakoi said with a bow and a smirk on his face. His black eyes seemed to glow with a mischievous side to them as her simply turned and begin to walk in the opposite direction. He had to try to think of many ways he can put his new pet to use.

Takashi wondered if what he had chosen was a mistake. After all, to agree to be a yokai's pet? that just sounded strange even to him now. Whatever. At least he was getting enough opportunity to complete his studies. After all, Takashi did have finals just next week so if he couldn't take them, he'd have to repeat a year. That would really ruin his life if he had to repeat a year for the one type of creature that had been ruining his life all this time.

 

The blonde-haired human returned home and gave a quick hello to those he was staying with but also hurried to his room so they didn't see the shape his clothes were in from running around like a maniac and tripping and falling down that hill. Thankfully, they didn't know that Takashi could see yokai so they just thought he was a little clumsy is all. If they knew, every stain, every cut, or bruise would be filled with worry and fear of what it was that caused it. Takashi couldn't put these people through that so he just kept his mouth shut.

 

Surprisingly, the next few days were quiet. Maybe that yokai had forgotten about him and the deal they had made. That would be ideal. Still, Takashi was able to get through his finals and had a few days before results were sent to his house and everything. However, school was technically over. Now he was returning home once again after just getting out of school for the last time this year.

Yakoi returned to his home shortly after, fellow yokai asking where he had run off to for so long. "Getting a new pet.." He said simply with a smirk, ignoring the never ending questions that followed him deciding to get a pet. Yakoi, taking on a pet.. A human pet? Now..he would need plenty of things so that he can have fun with his pet. Someone to clean this place up and just humiliate the boy to no end..

 

Soon many days past and he was ready to claim his prized pet. Now to wait around the same area that he had met he human boy last. Now..where are you my little pet? Yakoi searched for him, finding the human walking down the road. "Well hello there.." He said with a smirk, quickly walking up and standing beside him. "Studies are over.." He said matter of fact let, looking down at him with a smirk.

"Oh, I see you haven't actually given up... Well thank you for at least waiting for my finals to be over," He bowed respectfully. Taskashi treated humans and Yokai all the same. They were all creatures that deserved respect in his mind... though those that didn't show him respect didn't get any in return.

 

"So, Are you going to finally explain what it means to be your pet? I don't exactly understand what you want me to do..." He said that but followed Yakoi anyway heading for his home. It was all so strange for Takashi to be going along with a yokai like this but he had helped out quite a few in his life so the feeling wasn't completely foreign to him.

"No I have not given up..I had no intention of giving up" Yakoi said with a smirk as he continued a few steps besides the other, keeping pace. Soon, he stepped in front of him, stopping them in place. The human now just asks what it means to be a pet..only now when he has nowwhere to run and nowhere to escape. "Well..Lets just say I am going to have so fun with you" Yakoi smirked and tilted up his chin as if inspecting him. "Hmm..Pretty in the face for a human I suppose..Enough muscle to handle some light house work.." He spoke to himself out loud.

Takashi just stood there and took it all just wondering what the heck was going on or what was going to happen next. "So you don't want a pet so much as you want a maid? That's easy enough for me to do.... but it is a bit strange don't you think?" Takashi was confused as to what was going through this demon's head. "Come on, let's just go back to your house so you can finish this pathetic inspection and so we aren't out in the open anymore.."

 

The human could see other yokais watching them and moving a bit closer. They were growing more curious since Yakoi seemed to take great interest in the teen. "Come on, let's just go!!" Takashi pushed Yakoi back so he was stuck walking backwards for just a moment before he stopped thinking he made his point. For a human that looked this weak, Takashi was surprisingly strong. "Come on, this is just weird and it's going to make another evil yokai try to kill me.

Stubborn for a human who can see yokai..He is actually standing up to me. A mere human is standing up to me like this? now this was going to be fun..He thought to himself. He was a bit taken aback when he was pushed back, surprised that he was pushed at all and that he was able to be pushed so easily and that he even stumbled over his feet.

 

"This will be interesting.." Yakoi said with a small smirk. "I will have you running before you can ever think of trying anything like that again" He smirked, grabbing his wrist and waving his free hand in the air. A dark portal apeared and they stepped through, the world seeming to warp around them and turning darker and more sinister

"What?!" Takashi couldn't understand what Yakoi was talking about.... He seemed interested in the human but something here was really strange. Takashi was now being told he's be running... Was this some kind of gym class or did Yakoi expect him to run from this demon for some reason... What was his plan anyway?

 

The darkness warped reality and Takashi had to close his eyes nervous and confused. "What's happening?!" He asked, slightly beginning to open his eyes to see what was going on. This was a strange power but the only place Takashi could think they'd go was the spirit world.... but couldn't humans not pass into the spirit world unless they were dead? Well Takashi was still alive so that didn't make any sense to him. Of course, the way everything was changing and warping, Takashi wanted to throw up.

Yakoi looked down at the human as they were travelling, the human looking like he was about to be sick. So weak of mind heart..and stomach. "You will need to get used to travelling like this.." he said as he kept walking, the world around them slowly turning back into their normal colors and proper looking shapes. It was still the same world but he used his portal to travel to his house far faster than simply walking alongside the human.

 

"My abode" Yakoi gestured to a large abandoned dark blue house in the middle of an open field. "Nothing compared to my home but I have to make do when I get bored and need a place to stay" He smirked, starting to walk toward the home. "For someone like you, you should be able to handle this " He smirked.

"The heck is that suppose to mean?" He groaned a bit and as Takashi tried not to be sick as he walked forward towards the house. The human took a while to try and recover himself but when the world finally stopped spinning, he was able to control himself and managed not to throw up all over the place.

 

Still, even with his uneasiness, Takashi was concerned about what he even meant by his last statement. "So, I still haven't figured out what exactly you want me to do. Do you just want me to clean this place from top to bottom, because that sounds more like a me being a maid than it does a pet?.... Why did you even choose the wording to make me your pet? Takashi wanted to be able to understand what he was in for before anything actually happened to him.

"Only now you ask questions.." Yakoi shook his head with a small smirk. "Pets do what their masters ask of them...Cook clean, anything I wish of you" He started off, not planning to stop just there. "If I ever took an interest in you, I would do as I pleased. If I want you to do things you might not like, you will do them. Pets do as they are commanded with obedience. Naughty bad pets will get punished" Yakoi smirked, leaning in closer. "I suggest you not cross me and make things easy for us both yes?"

 

Yakoi stepped up to the front doors, opening them and gesturing with his hand for the other to go inside. It was decent looking inside, upscale in its décor but not overly fancy decorated. "When you are in my care, this will be where you stay. As to a room, I need to decide where you will be going" He said as he looked around the entrance hall.

"Alright, I understand," He said agreeing to the terms. It wasn't like he really had a choice, he'd agreed once already so now he just had to stick to his word and show that he wouldn't just back down for no reason. Takashi was going to stick this out, pay this demon back for saving his life, and return home and forget this whole ordeal. Here we go...

 

Takashi took the first step inside and looked around. What a strange place. It was nice and roomy but there was something about it that had a lonely feel... Though it was pretty easy to see that it wasn't kept too clean. There was at least enough work to keep the human working for at least a few days. Still, would that be enough? This was a Yokai he was dealing with so for all he knew Yakoi could come up with more and more to do so Takashi wastes his entire summer holed up in this place.

 

"What should I start with first?" Sure he needed to put his stuff down but Takashi wanted to get started to have this over and done with.

"Where do I even begin..?" Yakoi smirked as he watched the others reaction to his home. Oh, there were so many ways he can toy and play with his new pet maid of a human. He could toy with him so much but what was the best way to toy with him? What fun shall be had but he needed some ideas first. Let's get to know the others strengths and weaknesses...and take full advantage of them. "There.." He simply pointed toward the stairs to have him start there.
