Lucien is twenty-three, heir to the Spice Trading Company, and descendent of the king. So he was told, by his butler, Constant.

Having lost his memories, Lucien relies on Constant to learn about the town and carry outbid duties. But when information fails to tally and loopholes are discovered, he finds it difficult to trust his butler. The swallowed questions become harder to ask as each day passes, and though Lucien wants to know more about his own past, he cannot bring himself to appear suspicious of Constant, who has been nothing but faithful.

 

Or perhaps he fears to know the truth, because those warm smiles and sweet gestures have touched his heart, and he wants to believe they are genuine.

This perhaps doesn't have the e-book version yet. But this is a good novel. It was posted on fictionpress before under the name of ruqiav who then change her name to BeatrixLowe. This book has some cool art made by Sobachan.
