The Lolita Thread!

I bet there are some other lolitas except for me on YO... So I thought I'd start a thread for discussing favorite brands, posting outfits, and other things related to anything lolita!

 

I've always myself preffered gothic lolita, but I also own some stuff classic and sweet lolita.

My last dress bought was Angelic Pretty's Luminous Sanctuary ^_^

It's a bit too pink for me really, but it's very pretty and well-made~

 

 

 

 

I am also the proud owner of some Moi-même-Moitié items (a skirt, a jacket and necklace). They're really the most precious things in my closet to me. I am such a Mana-fangirl ^^;

Most things in my lolita closet though is from Fanplusfriend, with one Metamorphose JSK and Infanta JSK as well. Will probably buy even more stuff when payday is here

I guess you could say I'm currently in the process of becoming a lolita. I got rid of most of the clothes I don't wear or won't be able to put together with cords. Also very pretty dress. ♡ I thought I was a sweet lolita for a long time but honestly I'm more gothic. I usually have been browsing lacemarket and egl com sales. Since as a college student, I cannot currently afford new clothes.

I'm a student, so I know how tough it is with money. Though there are some tips if you want new clothes and don't have that much money. For one, Fanplusfriend does make really good dresses in different styles and they're not that expensive (like, you could get a dress for about 100$, sometimes less). Also, my lolita dress or lolita dresses shop sell some indie tao bao brands cheap. As in, you can get a dress from Miss Point or Magic Tea Party or Infanta for about 70-80$ or if on sale for less. Sometimes you can get cheap Metamorphose Temps de fille dresses on their site, I bought my JSK for about 100$ (they rarely go under 200$ otherwise). If you can stand not getting a brand dress, you could also shop on Lightinthebox. I've heard Bodyline does OK dresses too.

I've always been a bit hesitant buying from bodyline since I've heard mixed views on it. xD Honestly I don't mind buying non brand as long as it lasts and looks nice. A lot of the time, cheap lolita dresses can sometimes look costume-ish. I guess I'm pretty hesitant to wear in public as well lol. Even though I really want to.
