yuuto Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 I don't hide it but usually I don't bring it up when I'm with ppl I don't know well, I have this logic: With new ppl I first get to know them and when I think they realize I'm not some crazy dude who's only life is gaypron, I tell them. Not straight but along with something else. Stupid example xD "What do you like?" friend. "Manga, anime, and gay manga..." Me. xD But with friends who know my addiction I just speak about yaoi 8D When I were junior high I watched yaoi pictures during classes what were held computer room. And I weren't only one who watched naughty stuff there boys watched porn next to me... And I even show one picture at teacher because some boys said that I were watching gay-stuff and told teacher to come watch. (probably they though I would panic) but I just were "Yeah looks this." and my teacher were speechless... hakainoyume Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I don't think I could actually pull off hiding it 100% from my friends:msn_red_fox 14 Most of my friends at boarding school know, but all of my friends back at home don't know since they are very against homosexuality (although they don't really matter as much nowadays, since I only see them once a year) Everyone I've told at my school now is really cool with it, and I don't bother hiding it from them-I've even had conversations on Hetalia pairings with one of my best guy friends, and my like of yaoi is actually a sadly common topic, although those conversations typically end in a waaay perverted manner. Yet, when it comes to telling family, I don't think I could ever, ever, ever do it. My mom hates anime, period, and adding in yaoi wouldn't help any. I believe one of the conditions she actually put on buying me my first manga was that I never touch anything that even came close to having a sex scene in it. (Guess how well that worked out) On the other hand, my little sister knows that I like yaoi, and we've had debates on whether Sasuke is straight, gay, or bi before. (she has a crush on him, but is okay looking at Sasuke and Naruto making out, although nothing further. God, I love that kid!) I'm amazed that some people are able to tell their family, and have their family accept it in return. I don't think that would ever work out with mine. Maybe someday, it'll all work out... My fellow nerd-friends know (=a few guys in my class lol, I talked one of them into watching Kirepapa, that was fun..!) and a few other friends as well ^__^ My family doesn't have to know, don't think they want to know either hahaha. I have to hide my yaoi stuff because my family is conservative too. They are really Christian and believe the whole thing about "God is against gay" stuff. It's my choice what I do and what I don't do, what I like and what I don't like. Except for my family. They wouldn't say anything cause it's my life we're talking about and I'm not a little girl anymore but it would be kinda awkward so no... family is a big no. I've told a friend of mine (it's a guy btw), he told me that even though I'm a weirdo, I'm still his friend and loves me.
