I've included some information and my idea for the setting. So this will not be a hardcore masquerade rp, I've made alot up as I wrote. I want to see if anyone's interested in playing this idea with me. Please be interested! Setting: Ten years ago the world woke up to a war between vampires and humans. Four clans of the vampires, known as the Sabbat, decided they wanted to break age old traditions of keeping secret and silence and blending in with the humans and rose up in a rebellion. Humans were unprepared and the first year was rough and bloody before the Camarilla decided they couldn't stand on the sidelines for any longer and intervened. It sparked a war between vampires, the Camarilla that wanted to keep the traditions and the Sabbat that wanted to rule over mankind, and between humans and vampire. The Camarilla were unwilling to ally with the humans and on their own they managed to drive back the Sabbat. Refusing 'aid' from the humans. During the following years there was an uneasy truce, the Sabbat had yielded unwillingly and went underground after the Camarilla negotiated brutally with both human and Sabbat. The humans had demanded the Sabbat's surrender but were denied, instead they were introduced to the vampirc traditions and through compromise the Camarilla agreed to abide by human law as long as the vampire's could rule themselves as they had before. Law would be upheald through joint rulings. Intelligence was gathered, military decisions made and the Noctis Unit was created. It was an elite unit that belonged to the military but also assisted the policing agencies in catching or killing or suppressing the supernatural. The unit consisted of highly intelligent, quick and skilled people. Trained by vampire ambassadors and human experts the unit was made to be able to survive and succeed. Ten years after the revolution tensions had finally settled, with vampires continuing to keep to themselves and trying to masquerade their presence, when the Sabbat made their presence known once more and assassinated the first regent of the Camarilla. Unease rose again together with violence and increasing seemingly random attacks on Humans and Camarilla. My idea for a plot: MC is Liam, one of some Nocti Agents out on a mission to kill some rogue vampires that has killed some other humans or vampires. The Camarilla has given their blessing. He tracks/hunts the vampire/s and is hurt or in trouble whey YC shows up. Some ideas for YC: A Camarilla vampire sent to aid in the hunt. A Camarilla/Neutral/Sabbat vampire that is just passing through but decides to help. Maybe he was impressed enough to 'save' MC. A Sabbat vampire that want to use MC/interrogate or something like that. Or feel free to come up with an idea for YC that you want to play out. Maybe you get some inspiration to the plot while reading this! What I want I prefer characters to be seke, I believe in flexibility;), but I'm happy as long as it's a strong and driven character. I want the posts to be lengthy (not crazy long but with descriptions, thoughts and feelings and such) I also want a partner that's active, at least being able to post a few times per week. I like it dark and adult. Like sex and plot and drama and 18+. Characters should be at least over 18. One on One, but I am open to a multi-RP if you out there want to do that :3 If you're not scared off by the massive amount of info and text above, down below is the idea for MC and the different groups of vampires as I've decided to cast them Please read about the different clans for charasteristics. My Character Reveal hidden contents Name: Liam Wells Sex & Position: Male, Seke Age: 24 Height & Weight: 5ft 6in, 160lbs Eyes: Deep Green. Hair: Black. Personality: Liam Wells is smart, sharp and a fast learner. He's always had it easy with studying and reading but a harder time with physical prowess. Despite his intelligence he's never really had a goal in life or something he wanted or needed to fight for. People that know him might describe him as a lacklustre. He's social and friendly but lacks that which draws people to a person, drive or fire or a presence that inspire. He's careful with sharing of himself to people and slow to befriend. Those he do become friends with will find him very caring and protective. The biggest flaw is his overconfidence with his skills. Liam is great at what he does but cocky. He doesn't question orders. History: Liam got bored of college and on an impulse he quit and joined the military. The Noctis Unit drafted him early on through intelligence and aptitude tests. He spent a few years training in the Nocti Academy, being carefully moulded to the very specific mission of suppressing the supernatural presence, before being deployed in a unit. He's been active for a year. Random facts: *Liam's the youngest of three siblings, all are in different branches of the military. *Liam's only had one steady girlfriend and after that only brief flings with males and females. *Despite everybody in his family being religious he's an atheist. *Likes to play video games and reads science fiction. Likes: Winning Meditation Black tea Baking Dislikes: Defeat Panic False people Fish (taste and smell of it) The Camarilla Reveal hidden contents Ventrue Ventrue represents vampires at their most classy. As the most noble of vampires they infiltrate and use human government to maintain their power over other vampires. The Ventrue are usually successful, rich, and in charge of vampire society called the Camarilia, which enforces the Masquerade, which is the social pact vampires have to keep their existence secret from mortals. Ventrue have normal powers, including dominate and presence, which makes them the charismatic vampires who can make their enemies fear them or fall in love with them. Tremere Although one of the newest vampire clans, the Treme are essentially Ventrue Lite. What they lack in the Ventrue’s social status and power they make up for with blood magic. It's including alchemy, elemental control, conjuring, corruption, and more. Tremere are the mages of Vampire. Malkavian The Chaotic Neutral of the Vampire world. They can be insane and obscure, they actually have benefits like the power to disappear and Dominate, which can be used to drive other people insane. Toreador Toreador are the artists of the vampire world, which is to say they’re really pretentious and annoying. They’re the ones who fall in love (with humans, other vampires and so on) and thus inspire romances like Twilight. They’re also easily captivated by shiny things that happen to catch their eye. They have the super-speed. Nosferatu The Nosferatu seem like they might be the worst clan; they’re all ugly, they can’t hide among humanity at all, and they generally hide in sewers. The Nosferatu are really good at spying. The Neutrals Reveal hidden contents Gangrel Gangrel have two primary characteristics: they’re nomads and they have an affinity for animals. The first is just a fancy way of saying Gangrels are basically bums. The second is far less cool than it sounds. While other vampires are casting blood magic and tearing humans apart like fresh bread with shadow tentacles, Gangrel are talking to dogs. When Gangrel frenzy and lose control, they start to gain animal-like physical characteristic, like tails or cat ears. Ravnos Ravnos are vagabonds, which is a fancy way of saying nomads, which we’ve already established is itself a fancy way of “bums.” The Ravnos are thieves and charlatans who are closely entwined with the Gypsies and have helped perpetuate the stereotype that Gypsies are also thieves and charlatans. Followers of Set Vampires that worship Set, the Egyptian god who they believe will be coming back to clean shop. The Followers of Set are basically the Bastard class of Vampire, and they have all the freedom that a completely lack of morality allows. Also, they have the Serpentis disciple which allows its user to paralyse people with their gaze and have a giant serpent tongue to attack with. Assamite A vampire clan full of assassins, but they’re not just assassins; they also include sorcerer and Viziers (scholars of a sort), all with their own specific powers. Despite taking contracts as hit-men, they aren’t evil and they don’t get involved in all the nonsense of the other vampire clans. Assamites have power that allows to control the blood of others, which lets them things like force targets to sweat blood, turn blood acidic, and other craziness. Thin-bloods Weakened vampiric blood, these vampires retain many human charasteristics and gain only a few or weak vampiric abilites. Usually not in a clan but is known to stick together. Considered outcasts by most “true” vampires. The Sabbat Reveal hidden contents Lasombra The Lasombra are one of the evil clans, and yes, they tend to have those traditionally evil, full jet-black eyes and they’re also the vampires whose reflections don’t show up on mirrors and thus are considered extra-damned by God for some reason. They’re basically evil Ventrue, with the same society and power and resources, but with more backstabbing. Lasombra have shadow powers. Brujah Typically the hotheaded rebels of the Vampire world. The Brujah are the closest Vampire comes to having a basic “Fighter” class with super-strength and super-speed — which is good because Brujah are basically just thugs. They don’t really have a society to speak of, so they wander around, doing what they want. Tzimisce Another outright evil vampire clan, the Tzimisce are the spiritual leaders and scholars of vicissitude, or the magic of bone and flesh shaping. Humans exist only to be messed with and tortured in order for the Tzimisce to continually evolve themselves. Giovanni Basically the vampire mob, the Giovanni are obsessed with money and necromancy. They only make vampires out of their own very large family. The Giovanni usually don’t support the Masquerade or the Sabbat, but joined the Sabbat to gain power and to be evil assholes. He'll be a Tzimisce but like a long imprisoned outcast since he doesn't have any reservations in using his abilities, be they human or vampire. Freed, a few thousand years later, by a company of adventurers that seeked fame and fortune -but had all been killed by Dio En's subsequent awakening. Had been travelling the world since then, learning the new culture and everything else in favor of picking up where he left off, and not really caring about the Human/Vampire war that's raging.
