23 degrees Celsius
I'll go on a suicide project and translate everything for this. Because why not? I'll be doing this in small segments because I'm on my really tiny phone. If this bugs anyone, please let me know so I'll stop. [Car crashed.] (Do people have a next lifetime? I'm always thinking, if the forevermore wish can come true, if one day, we can bravely embrace under the blue sky, then is it that ... This person, this life, will bear no regrets?) [sleeping person stirs and awakes.] (Whether through time, beyond death, ... None can stop my footsteps of loving you.) [Flashbacks.] Title: "Ghost Roommate" Notes for translation: 灵界 literally means "spiritual world".
23 degrees Celsius
[Guy is on the phone with a girl, eating a banana.] Girl: (You) always say "next time". Why is inviting you to leave the house always so difficult? Guy: Argh! I know, alright. I really don't have free time tomorrow. ... Aish, next time! Next-... [Another dude shows up.] Girl: Hello? Ye Xiao-Ou? ... Why did you stop talking? Guy: Talk to you later. I need to save my own skin first! Okay? Bye bye! [Xiao-Ou throws his phone onto the sofa. He stares at the dude awkwardly.] Ou: Uhh. I'll clean up right away. ... Uh, that, didn't you say you'll return after three days? Why are you back so soon? [Dude rolls his eyes and turns around to walk off. Ou is snubbed, is aware, and exhales through his nose in annoyance.] [Dude is in a room, presumably his bedroom. He lies down in the bed, arms propped up. He closes his eyes.] 哎呀 (aiya) is a common, umbrella exclamation to represent frustration, pain, or something that elicits a quick reaction in general. 23 degrees Celsius
[in the darkness, a boy appears. Another dude folds his arms in annoyance. Presumably they are both sizing up an unseen person. Another dude will now be dubbed as Annoyed Guy.] Boy: Dear, don't panic first. I believe you have countless questions. For example, "Who am I?" "Where am I from?" "Where am I going?" Etcetera, etcetera. But please worry not! We will use our sincerest attitude, providing the best service, guaranteed to let you feel as though you're at home! Boy: Firstly, please turn your neck. Move your arms a bit. Aye, yes yes yes! Like that. You feel as if your limbs all hurt, your body is haggard and your head hurts? Don't worry, these are all normal symptoms. When people die, it's similar to oversleeping. Anyone who slept for too long feels miserable throughout their body. Don't you think so? Boy: Is your head feeling fuzzy? Don't worry, this is also a normal symptom. When people die, it's similar to oversleeping. Whose head doesn't spin in circles after sleeping for an extended period? Right? Dude from earlier: I died?? Boy: That's right, dear. Your comprehension skills are very good! [Annoyed Guy knits his eyebrows.] Boy: You don't have to ask who we are. You also don't have to ask for who I am. You don't *even* have to ask who *he* is. [Annoyed Guy turns to look at the boy in impatience.] Boy: Now you can move around as you please. For example, go finish up stuff you wanted to do back in life. Like for example, go scare your seatmate who stole your snacks a long time ago. Or go mess with the bro who bunked above you. Until the last snow of this winter, we'll escort you to leave this world. [boy smiles amicably.] Dude: Leave? What if I don't go? Annoyed Guy: Your body will slowly disappear. Then at last, this world will no longer have your existence. Boy: Also, people who were one way or another related to you won't remember you. And so, this world will no longer have "you". You are also no longer you. Your past self can see your current self as yourself. However, your current self is not your past self. Eh, the way I speak may be riddling. Have you seen the appendix of your living times? Translation notes: 亲 (qin) means three things. One is "relative" like a kin, one is a term for "kiss", and the other is "dear". In this context, the speaker is being respectful and friendly at the same time, using the first meaning.
23 degrees Celsius
[Dead Dude shown to be in the living world again, still in bed. Outside, Xiao-Ou knocks on the door.] Ou: Lu Qi-Ming! Are you okay? [Qi-Ming opens his eyes.] Ming: I'm fine. I want to sleep. [Xiao-Ou stares at the door with a half glare and exhales in exasperation/annoyance. He leans his shoulder against the door.] Ou: Weird. Normally when this terminally OCD sees me like this he would have blown up in rage. Why is today so peaceful? [Xiao-Ou shrugs while shaking his head. He sniffs in resignation and snide bewilderment, then walks off. Inside, Ming finally closes his eyes slowly.]
23 degrees Celsius
[Enjoy a whole minute of Free!-level fanservice as Qi-Ming scrubbadubs in the shower. He then becomes the good waifu by making breakfast.] (Please note that the sound flickered from hereon. I have tried all the provided links. It is a universal problem. Excuse any mistakes I make, since the Chinese font is sometimes white-on-white and I can't hear their dialogue.) [Xiao-Ou comes down with a glass of water. He is clearly weirded out by the sight.] Ou: Woah. The sun didn't rise from the West today, isn't it? You don't have a fever, right? The wealthy and sharp-cutting emperor would do such menial peasant work like cooking for me too? Ming: Did I say I'm cooking for you? Ou: Haaa, that's what I thought. How could the Master Lu be so kind? Not bullying me is already not bad by itself. [Qi-Ming is shown to be grinning behind Xiao-Ou. Later on, Qi-Ming serves two platters. He places a plate of sausage and eggs in front of Xiao-Ou, who looks down at the food in awkward amusement.] Ou: Uhh. You're a bit abnormal today. Don't scare me, eh? I'm a little frightened by all the pampering. Ming: Finish breakfast first. Ou: Am I supposed to be on my way after that? [Qi-Ming sighs and fetches a glass of milk for Xiao-Ou. Ou takes it. And sniffs it with a nervous smile.] Ou: You didn't poison this, did you? [He sniffs the milk again and places it aside.] Ou: You're not trying to murder me, are you? ... Nnngh, I know! Are you trying to wipe out the evidence of your bullying me? Ming: What goes on in that tiny brain of yours?? This young master is feeling good, so I feel like treating you well. Why, are you reluctant? [Ou tries to eat. He gives up after looking away and back at Qi-Ming.] Ou: What are you looking at me for? Ming: Feels like ... you're extra good-looking today. Ou: ... Lu Qi-Ming. Why do I feel as if your smile today is so ... eldritch? Ming: Xiao-Ou. From today onwards, let's get along, okay? Ou: Am I hearing this right? What trick exactly do you have up your sleeve? Ming: I'm serious. Ou: Okay. Then ... do some kind of receipt or contract as proof for me. Ming: No problem. Ou: Mmm. You have to vow, too! Ming: This needs to be sworn for?? Ou: Are you vowing or not? Ming: Fine, fine, fine. Then I'll make an oath. [He sets down his cutlery and makes a three-finger vow pose.] Ming: I, Lu Qi-Ming, guarantee not to bully Ye Xiao-Ou. Not to pull pranks. Not to disturb Ye Xiao-Ou's work. If I can't do it, then I'll ... I'll ... Ou: Never have a wife for life! Ming: Sure. Then I'll never have a wife for life. [Xiao-Ou seems to be pleased. He is actually thinking to himself.] Ou: (thoughts) So quick to concede. Could there be a scam? ... What if he marries a dude? Lu Qi-Ming, your tastes are acquired. He he he. Boboya
While 23 Degrees Celcius is doing a great job translating the whole movie (please take your time, don't be pressured, we appreciate it very much), I will give you the basic plot. Xiao Ou is a struggling author living with his rich senpai, Lu QiMing. They've known each other since college where LQM seemed to have harboured a love for XO, but XO was too dense to understand LQM feelings. LQM died in a car accident unbeknownst to XO and was given a chance to roam around as he pleases until the first snow falls down, after the first snow falls down he will be taken away to cross over. If he choose to stay, he will slowly disappear from existence and from everyone's memory. Basically, LQM uses his time before the first snow to woo XO. 23 degrees Celsius
[Xiao-Ou is shown to be hanging out with two girls, playing cards. The girls will be Chica and Gal to avoid confusion, until their names are revealed.] Chica: What? He can't be having an interest in you, right? Ou: Bai Yi-Ting, can you be a little more serious? We-We're ... we're pure! [Chica has now ascended into Bai Yi-Ting.] Ting: Alright! I'm worrying about my hubby here! I'm telling you, the society today fears no beautiful women, but beautiful men are terrifying. My hubby is all fair and soft, there's no way I can't be cautious! Ou: Even if he does like me, there's no way I'd like *him*. He's too annoying! Back when we were in the same dormitory, he never eased up on bullying me. Then when we became housemates, he didn't forget to constantly depreciate my remaining value. (sigh) Y'know, he's behaving so unusually, is it because he has been traumatised lately? Now when I see him ... (hiss) my goosebumps all prickle. Ting: How ... does he bully you, anyway? [Xiao-Ou stares at Yi-Ting and thinks shortly. He dramatically sighs in bitter amusement.] Ou: It's aaall arrangements of Fate. A long, long time ago ... Ting: Main point. Ou: Hewasmysenior, andonedayjustturnedupinoursleepingroom. Hehashisownbedbutdoesn'tsleepinit, insteadhewantstocramintothesamebedasmine. Also, hethrewawaythegiftsgirlshavegivenme aaall into the trashbin! This person, I did some evaluation - empty. Blank and fake. He's jealous that I'm better than him. So *everything* that I fancy doesn't sit well with him. He wants to go against me, eh?! [Yi-Ting looks highly amused. She knowingly grins at Xiao-Ou and excitedly, but slowly, speaks.] Ting: I think the message was pretty clear ... [she slaps a hand onto her mouth and tries to soften her giggle. The other girl glances up from her cards to look at Xiao-Ou.] Gal: Tingy is right. The message ... is quite clear. Ou: You two ... are too impure!! Ting: Oooh! Someone's bashful too. Your Royal Highness is rotten to the point of decomposition and has sprouted from it naturally. Do you feel that I am very cute? [Yi-Ting blinks and nods at Xiao-Ou with a doll pout. He chuckles coldly at her with narrowed eyes.] Ou: Please go die right this instant. Ting: Hmph! (pout intensifies) Yi-Ting used the word 萌 (meng) which could mean: "sprout" like a seedling, or "moe" (the Japanese term to depict cuteness that ignites the desire to adore someone or something). In this context, she's doing a wordplay.

23 degrees Celsius
[A scrap of orange peel drops onto the floor. It is shown that Xiao-Ou is the culprit. He is eating an orange, while Qi-Ming cleans up after his mess. Qi-Ming sets aside the dustpan and broom, then looms over Xiao-Ou, leaning close. Xiao-Ou is startled and moves away, flustered.] Ou: Lu Qi-Ming, what're you planning to do?! Ming: What do you think I want to do? Ou: Are you gonna break the agreement? I have the contract! Ming: What am I not brave enough for? Ou: Y-You will end up wifeless for life like this! Ming: (smirks) I don't care. Bullying you ... is more meaningful than having a wife. Ou: You ... Degenerate! Ming: Listen up. Never toss again in the future, yeah? [Xiao-Ou bites into the orange with a glower and peels a bit of skin off the fruit again. He aims but pauses when Qi-Ming glances at him over his shoulder. Xiao-Ou shirks a little and leans forward, presumably throwing it into the dustpan. He continues watching TV while Qi-Ming saunters off. Xiao-Ou squints at the bigger guy.] Ou: Bleh!

Strawberries_Senpai
Well... this film was rather... different. I mean I give the director, cast members, and anyone who took part in this film a hand of applause because it is different from other BL films. My only critique is there was not a lot of background about each character. I can see this as more of a series than an actual film. The ending was so sudden and confusing it kind of left me with a dumbfounded expression. Personally, this is a more of a "go to film" when you have finished watching all of the good plot BL films but you would like to waste your time. HMM-able. Awkward is the word that came to my mind. It's really hard to feel attached to the pairing because we didn't see enough of how much "bullying" Qi-Ming did.
