YuutaBL
This is the first time I am doing anything of this nature so please bear with me! Longing Word Count :597 "Zoudux!" it beckoned my consciousness, "Sir Zoudux Felvawin!" Like a bolt of lightning, my eyes shot open while droplets of sweat ran down my forehead. I blinked to realization as to what had happened. The concern and responsibility that once filled my chest moments ago, swelled into doom and a pending thought that I wouldn't dare say out loud. With hostility I grabbed the unknown soldier's collar, "Where is Lord Kreazin Gaahan!?" "T-the young Lord... he... alone..." I threw the soldier aside and plundered to my feet. I dispelled the hazy after affect of Krea's 'Siesta' and regained full control of my body. I whistled a silent call for my loyal dragon as I ran across the field of corpse. "Please God! I will do anything! Just please let me make it in time!" I prayed to the heavens in desperation. Moments later the Blue Dragon King swopped down from the gray skies and I grabbed it's reigns. I directed the tamed beast to the heart of enemy territory, their Capital City. It didn't take long to spot the capital in the distance. I pulled the reigns harder, pushing the Blue King's limits but another force propelled my Dragon miles into the gray clouds. I fumbled to stabilize the Blue King and halted my attack once I knew the unknown force. "Silver Dragon King!?" I realized as Krea's faithful Dragon continued to push us past the dark skies. "Stop Silver King! I must go to Krea! If I don't he'll--!" A bright light erupted below the dark clouds and vanquished them to nothingness. My navy colored eyes trembled lifelessly at the sight of the soul figure standing in the center of the waste land. "KREA!!" I yelled his name from the bottom of my aching heart. I pulled the reigns once more and we plunged down towards the middle. Before my Dragon even landed, I jumped and rolled on contact with the ground. I used all my weight to plunge forward and caught Krea's falling body into my chest. "Krea!...Krea!" I chanted over and over with a choking throat. Suddenly an abnormal icy hand placed itself on my tear filled cheek before a soft and sweet voice singed, "Don't cry, Zou." My hopeful eyes meet Krea's gentle ivory gaze. He continued to smile meekly as his body started to disintegrate into multiple shards of light. I tenderly wrapped my palm around his frail hand on my cheek, "Krea you fool! How could you do this!? As your personal guard, I should have been sacrificed! Unlike me who has nothing, you still have so many things and so many people who need you!" "I simply want you to live," his voice grew even softer than before, "because you are my everything..." "Krea..." was the only word that managed to escaped from the many feelings tangled in my chest. "I love you, Zou," He smiled in content before fully dispersing into bubbles of light. *** "Are you okay Takahiro?" My eyes blinked open before looking at Fujinuma, his presence overlapping with a nostalgic figure from another world. I just smiled back to assure him and gestured him to come over. He stopped eating his lunch and scouted closer. I wrapped my arm around his nape and cupped his chin with my fingers to aline our gaze. "Eh!? What is it!?" A slight pink grazed his cheek bones. "I love you too, Krea," I somberly grinned. "Eh..." I took advantage of what seemed to be a familiar name to him and placed my yearning kiss on those amorous lips. phantom6man
This story was made from meh and from meh it shall return. :leaf5: I hope you guys enjoy reading this one. Beyond Horizons A Short Story 598 words Takeru was transfixed at the afternoon red skies. PE had just ended and the last class was about to start. Adjusting his seat, he fixed his hair. Philosophy, the subject he loathed the most was about to begin. “Good afternoon,” his golden brown eyes widened, he barely heard the door open. The middle-aged teacher quickly started writing on the board, sounds of the chalk screeching echoed throughout the silent and smelly classroom. “Life.” The teacher turned back. A single kanji was written, puzzling everyone in the room. “What do you live for?” Takeru lips curved. He hated those type of questions, questions that were too obvious yet seemingly difficult to answer. He closed his eyes, contemplating. He was closing in that threshold called adulthood and yet here he was far from graduation. “Takeru,” the teacher called out. Takeru gulped. “What do you live for?” Takeru’s leg began to feel heavy as he stood up. He didn’t want to stand, no, he didn’t want to stand out. Being in the center of attention was too much. He tried to speak but his mouth was shut until it began to shake then his whole body was shivering. The classroom was quickly thrown into laugher. Takeru clinched his fists in his chest and started running. He didn’t want to bear the embarrassment, his face turned red as then tears began dropping from his eyes. There was blankness in his mind, all but running. “Oh…” A sudden soft voice roused him from his darkness as he felt pain in his feet. “Are you alright?” Takeru looked up as he fell on the floor, quickly covered his face. “Oh, it’s you Takeru!” the man smiled, offering his hand. “I have always been looking for you.” “Shiei!” Takeru finally recognized. “Shiei, I’m scared.” “Now, now…” Shiei hugged him. “There is no need to be afraid.” His embrace tightened. Takeru’s tears continued to pour. It was there, the warmth that he needed. In his dark and lonely world, only Shiei can save him. “Don’t leave me,” he whispered. Silence fell on the scene, there was a long pause but Takeru didn’t mind. It was just the warmth that he needed. “Shiei, I still remember what you said.” Takeru closed his eyes. “We will always be together right?” There was another long pause. No answer came but Takeru felt light. He squeezed tighter as he began murmuring soft words. “Takeru?” A deep voice was calling him. “Takeru?” It was getting louder and louder. “Hey Takeru!” Takeru’s eyes opened widely as he stared at the person in front of him. “Are you alright? Who are you taking to?” “Where is Shiei?” Takeru protested. “Shiei was here!” He began to stand up and move violently. “Shiei was here!” He shouted repeatedly. The man gulped as he felt alarmed. He quickly grabbed the injection from his coat. “Okay, now… now… take it easy Takeru, here.” Takeru quickly fell to his knees as he felt the injection pinched him. “It’s all going to be alright.” “It’s hard dealing with these types of patient neh Hikaru?” Hikaru sighed. The other man snickered. “It’s been ten years; he probably won’t last longer.” “Don’t make fun.” He stood up as he watched Takeru doze off. “Living those crazy life years. I don’t think it’s totally worth it.” “Takumi, it’s not your call. For whatever worth is one man’s life up to is simply up to them. Takeru simply found his answer.” “In a dead man.” Takumi smiled as he closed the door. “Even so…” Hikaru gave Takeru one more gaze before he left. yunkarin
This is my first melancholic (hopefully) and bittersweet (hopefully again) story. Hope it's enjoyable. :leaf8: AOI Word Count: 535 “Aoi” My name rolled off his tongue sweetly, like the sweet nectar of honey and his deep voice resonated from within my dreams. He caressed my cheek gently as a warm smile lit his face, melting the ice around my heart. I flushed deeply as he peppered me with pecks and kisses. He continued to kiss me deeply, tracing the skin of my neck with his lips and his blue eyes gazing at me as though he could see my soul. It was the sweetest dream I had since that rainy day. The alarm bell rang loudly as I slowly opened my eyes to the white ceiling of my room. I sat up and buried my face in my blanket, trying desperately to regain my composure with deep breaths. Pictures of my lover and I were stuck on walls and put into pretty frames all around my room. The sight made my heart clench every time I open my eyes and each day was excruciatingly painful. A knock on my door made me wipe away my tears and snot. A middle aged man, Daichi, came into my room with food in a plastic bag. “Aoi. Are you awake?” he asked as he set down the food and kissed me on my forehead. I remained silent as I stare at the pictures on my wall. Daichi noticed the unopened lunch he had bought the day before and heaved a sigh. “You didn’t eat again? You’ll die at this rate.” “Then, let me.” He slammed his hand down on the nearby table, grabbed my collar and yanked me close. “My younger brother did not die for you to follow him! You’re not the only one who misses him. He … He…” His voice trailed off in a tremble. His chest puffed in anger and his eyes swelled with tears. “I know! I know…” Tears trickled down my face as the clenching of my chest got tighter and more painful. “Because I was being stubborn. Because I was being selfish. I… I killed him.” Daichi pulled me into an embrace. I could hear his sniffling as he cried as silently as he could. “That accident was not your fault,” he whispered. “He protected you because you are precious to him. So cherish this life he died protecting.” I clenched my teeth and eyes and wailed in sorrow together with Daichi, with my arms wrapped around him and my nails clawed deep into his back. It hurt so very much. I had missed the presence of my lover so much. I want to feel his gentle touch against my cheek. I want to kiss and taste his lips once more. I want to breathe in the scent of his peach shampoo of his silky hair. I want to hear him say my name once more. But there are no more chances like that anymore. He was not here anymore. I cannot feel his touch anymore. I cannot embrace him anymore. I cannot hear him say my name anymore. All because my pride did not allow it. My honor had caused his death. Now, I can only keep him in my memories where he will live on for all eternity.
Isilme07
Promise Word count: 600 Every step towards the venue stung, and an invisible hand squeezed his heart a little tighter. Ichiro was getting married to honour his family’s wishes. To honour tradition. To provide an heir to take over the Ryouda empire. Granted, these were important things, and he had been brought up to play a part. What was an individual but a little cog meant to fit in the gears of society? Ichiro had almost convinced himself that all the above was right. He would discard his own wishes and leave Seiji behind, as any adult man should. His resolution couldn’t stop the memories flooding through his mind. Seiji Nomura. His first and only love. Seiji, with his starlit eyes, his interminable silences, which would always lead into a burst of gentle laughter or a fleeting touch on Ichiro’s skin. Seiji at fifteen, waiting for him after calligraphy club with a rice ball at the ready. As a high school student, inviting Ichiro over for study sessions that ended in books strewn throughout the floor as they could not put a stop to their feverish need for intimacy. At twenty-one, crossing the whole city to get to the prestigious university where Ichiro studied just to have lunch together. You should go and meet her so that your mother won’t be upset, Seiji had said when the omiai was arranged. Ichiro had protested at first, then bowed his head and, unsurprisingly, gone along with it. Like Seiji knew he would. Had he predicted the outcome, too? Seiji had vanished, changed his phone number and stopped answering his e-mails. There had been a single reply within the last few months. Congratulations. One word, sent when Ichiro let him know about the wedding. It hurt more than a complaint or a fight. And so the day came, and Ichiro had no thoughts to spare for his future bride. His self-deceit could only go so far. If they were characters in a book, he mused, Seiji would come and find him before he could do something irreparable. He would shake Ichiro, yell some sense into him and steer him away from his duties, his promise. But real life didn’t work like that and— Ishiro’s train of thought broke off. A promise. I will never let go of this hand. It had been said so many years before, in the throes of passion, at that precise moment when Seiji’s body was the star of his planetary system. The words had woven around them and bound them closer. Then don’t, had been his lover’s whispered reply. That was the only time that Seiji really asked something of him. How could he have forgotten? His father’s angry question was the next thing he would recall later. Where do you think you are going? Ichiro turned around and bowed deeply, piecing together an apology before rushing off alone. Two employees gave funny looks to the twenty-four-year old man in ceremonial dress who had just stepped into the bookshop. However, Seiji tilted his head and smiled as he climbed the stairs from the storage room. He only spoke when Ichiro grabbed his wrist and led him outside through the back door. ‘You never showed up at the wedding.’ It was a statement. ‘Won’t they be upset?’ ‘I made a promise to somebody else.’ Ichiro held his gaze. ‘And I intend to honour it.’ It was worth it, to become a broken little cog, one that would hinder his family’s or society’s desires. Those were Ichiro’s thoughts after he drew Seiji close and heard him whisper in his ear, I knew you would.
