Sure, he couldn't prove it, but as long as he could place that doubt in Nick's head then he knew that he was getting through to him and getting between the two. Moving to step around Nick, Louis spared him another glance. "But I suppose I'll leave you be for tonight. I'm sure your poor boyfriend would much rather have my company." Hearing the other wanting to head to Daniels tend he grabbed his arm pushing him in a tree, holding his hand up in the air ready to hit him. He hatted that the other was speaking the truth about the fact that his words affected him really bad. Shuting his eyes for a few second he lose the grip on the other's shirt, letting his fist down. He was a stupid, thinking that Daniel was able to let Chris for him. He would never do that.

A soft sound escaped Louis when he collided with the tree, the rough bark was rough against his skin even through his clothes but he didn't speak. Noticing how Nick had his fist raised as if he was going to strike him, but he never did even as he threatened him to stay away from Daniel. "It's not like he'd tell me to go." Louis said with a small smirk. Daniel wasn't who he was after though, and he knew the boy most likely wouldn't argue to having him in his bed. That wasn't the point though, the point here was that Nick was trying to convince himself that he loved and wouldn't be hurt by someone who had hurt him before.

 

Once Nick's grip on him loosened a small sad smile crossed his face, his eyes seemingly growing more considerate of the pain Nick must currently be feeling even if in his mind he was jumping up and down more than happy. "Face it, Nick." He murmured reaching out and cupping the other's cheek gently. "You're only going to get hurt in the end. He left you once, and he'll do it again. You don't know how to tame someone like him, and you know it's inevitable. You act like you are happy, but all of us can see that deep down you are trying to hide how much the truth hurts. Hide how you know he's only yours temporarily. Is that really the type of person you want?"

 

For a moment he just watched him before he leaned forward and pressed their lips together in a deep kiss. It was followed by his hand moving to the back of his neck where it took on a more firm grip. His free hand was gripping Nick's hip tightly. He could definitely bring Nick back to reality. That and he was sure he could see some really cute things from Nick if he could just get him to drop Daniel and come to him.

Shrugging it off he walked over to Jack to wake him up and get him inside the tent versus leaving him out in the cool night air.

Daniel wasn't sure how long he laid there staring at the side of the tent. He had managed to calm his aroused body after what had to be a half an hour. Sleep still hadn't come to him though, and the longer it went without Nick returning started to worry him. He wasn't sure what to make of it, what to think. Daniel stood in the dark waiting for Nick to come back to camp, it was long enough for a chill to sink in by the time that Nick returned. Noticing that the other man was wet he frowned watching as Nick instantly entered their tent barely sparing him a glance. It made him wonder if he had done something wrong to make it so Nick would ignore him. Giving him a few more minutes by himself Daniel finally returned to the tent slipping inside himself and going over to his spot with a soft sigh he tossed his blanket over Nick, "You're wet." He said as if it was normal. Obviously it wasn't, but he didn't know what else to say.

 

Whatever had gotten into Nick was really bumming him out, he had thought this was going to be a fun trip where he could enjoy the weekend with Nick before he was forced to return home to face his troubles at school. In the morning Sam and Mark woke up preparing something to eat and of course the perfect morning coffee to wake up the living dead in their bodies.

Daniel had a hard time falling asleep, things felt off and made him uncomfortable. He was woken not long after falling asleep to the sound of movement going on around the camp, tired eyes opened as he glanced around the now light tent. Looking over to Nick just made him frown again before he got up and slipped out of his old clothes pulling on clean ones and slipping out of the tent rubbing at his eyes. He said towards Mark and Sam before heading off in the direction he knew the lake was in. He wasn't going to wait for Nick just to be ignored again, there really wasn't any point. With one breath Nick woke from his nightmare breathing hard like he was on a marathon. Looking next to him he only saw the empty bed trying to figure out where Daniel might be. Dressing in a shirt and pair of short pants, he got out from tend smelling the sweet flavor of coffee. "Sweet mother of jessus I really need one cup of coffee please" he said sitting on the ground near the table waiting for Mark to pour some. He was feeling a little jealous at the two of them. They got pretty close since yesterday while he and Daniel got apart. "Where is Daniel?" he asked Sam sipping the hot coffee, feeling his every muscle waking up.

 

"He said he goes to the lake to take a bath" he respond continuing to make some sandwhiches for all of them to eat along with some summer salad like tomatos, cucumber and chees with a little bit of letuce. It was a healthy meal, acording to Sam. Nick just nodded drinking further his coffee, breathing in the cool air from the forest, trying to act as normal as possible.

Daniel allowed himself to relax in he water relaxing back against a partially submerged rock as his eyes drifted shut. The cool water was exactly what he needed to clear his head and get over the weird way things went last night. 'It's probably just from having so many other people around.' He thought deciding that must have been it. After a few minutes he got up and out of the water grabbing his shirt though he didn't put it back on. Before long he was back at the camp his eyes going to Nick who was awake, which kind of surprised him. Walking over he put his shirt down on the bench near Nick and reached out for the other man's hand.

 

"Want to go on a hike?" He asked flashing a small smile. He figured the hike would be a good way for them to get close to each other again and spend some alone time as well. It seemed like it was kind of needed after last night, "Please?" He asked his tone taking on a slightly more pleading aspect. Whatever it took to get Nick to agree, he still wasn't sure if he was going to or not but he figured it didn't hurt to try at least.

Seeing Daniel coming from the woods into the camp he smiled to him, being as normal as possible, trying to find the amusement into Sam's jokes which was kind of hard since he wasn't a funny guy at all.

"Want to go on a hike?"

"Please?"

Holding Daniels hand into his, he nodded taking a deep breath. He needed to calm down and find some good explination about his behaviour from last night. It wasn't him by the way he act and it was clearly that something was up. The incident that happened after with Louis was shut forever.

 

~back in camp~

Jack started snorring like a bear that Sam and Mark started laughing from outside.

"Great." Daniel commented with a smile as he helped Nick to his feet before leading the way out of camp and onto a trail. For a little while he was quiet, then after awhile and once they were a ways down the trail he glanced towards Nick once more. "So... last night? Did something happen yesterday? You were acting really weird." He still had to figure out what had happened, and the best way to do so was to ask Nick about it. Even though he still wasn't sure about all of it, he figured it was best to just be a bit more on the blunt side.

 

Leaning a little into Nick's side as they walked eyes taking in how nice the woods were. It was a nice day too, which worked out really well, it was warm but not to hot. As they walked his mind began to wander, before to long he looked over to Nick and leaned up to give him a quick kiss. "Whatever happened, we can talk it out and fix it. I'd hope after so long you wouldn't be afraid to talk to me about anything."

He fallowed the other in silence thinking about what he should tell in order to calm Daniel and escape the questioning.

"So... last night? Did something happen yesterday? You were acting really weird."

He sigh wrapping their fingures together as they were walking hand in had. He smiled when the other gave him a small kiss. Daniel couldn't lie about what he was feeling. He was loving him aswell and as much as Chris. But it was still a sort of love. He sigh again, trying to ignore the thoughts in which he was lying again. At least he could make Daniel happy until Chris was back to normal and to his memory intact.

 

"I guess it was just a blcokage knowing that there are people outside and that they could hear us. Ypu know i cannot be to silent when it comes to you" he said smirking. Actually he didn't lie, he was just saying a part of the truth and not the whole truth. "And after when i returned from the waterfall, i was too embarace to even speak to you" he said turning his gaze away from the other. He was acting all so normal, that no one could notice that he was actually lying.
