Nick drive to his office trying to scam the traffic jam. At a so early hour the traffic was horrible, but he manage to reach work after 30 minutes of driving. Parking his car he got some clothes out from his car and went to his office to change. There was still time till Louis would be there so he started to undress quickly, changing his pants with a pair of black jeans and just when he was about to close his shirt he hear the familiar annoying voice behind him.

“So… how was practice last night? Sorry about… you know…”

 

"Its fine ... Its not like i didn't see you before with others. I mean kissing and touching" he said referring to his past relationship attempts. Disposing the plates in the sink he smiled at his brother. "Let's get ready for school. Today is a half day because of the game tonight with the Lakers" he added heading towards the stairs. "I'll go first and get change. You should do the same" he added and head up.

"Its fine ... Its not like i didn't see you before with others. I mean kissing and touching" he said referring to his past relationship attempts. Disposing the plates in the sink he smiled at his brother. "Let's get ready for school. Today is a half day because of the game tonight with the Lakers" he added heading towards the stairs. "I'll go first and get change. You should do the same" he added and head up.

Louise moved towards Nick's office the moment he had gotten to the office, and the site that greeted him made a pleased smile cross his face. "Hmm... what do we have here." He murmured eyes raking over the other's form especially since he didn't have his shirt buttoned up yet leaving his chest and torso for him to see quite easily. "No wonder why you told me eleven, you just wanted me to miss you're naked body as you changed. I'll have to remember you have a tendency to get dressed in your office." His voice was teasing, but there was a part of him literally bummed that he had not arrived a few minutes earlier to catch him changing completely.

Daniel sighed at his brother's words. Was it just him or was Chris still acting weird? Kiss aside he felt like the Chris before him was definitely acting strange. Maybe it was just him though? After all Chris had lost his memory, though the boldness that had grasped his brother earlier and allowed him to kiss him told him that his brother's feelings ran even deeper than he had originally expected. For a moment he didn't move to do as he had been told, half day or not he still didn't want to go to school today. He wanted to spend it with Nick, but the older man was busy with work. After a few minutes of pouting he finally got up and went to his room only sparing a glance towards Chris' room as he passed.

 

Closing the door behind him he grabbed some more appropriate clothes for school and waited for the bathroom to be free. When it was he took a quick shower, needing to clean up after his activities with Nick. He couldn't go to school all sweaty and still smelling slightly of sex after all. Once he was out he dressed in the clean clothes, running a hand through his damp hair before heading back downstairs.

"Nothing for you" said Nick trying to close his shirt quicker so that he wont be exposed to Louis. He didnt liked the way the other was looking at him nor did he want to have something to do with him at this point. "Not in the mood for you jokes Louis. As i said before, this is only business, nothing more.What is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked finishing closing his shirt facing the other. He had to admit that Louis wasnt a bag looking guy. In his costume he looked damn hot. focus damn it ....

Afther changing for school he went downstairs where Daniel was waiting for him. He smiled gently and wrapped his arm around his shoulder heading outside towards school.

"Now this is nice" he breath deep and sigh after looking into distance.

Louis gave a small pout when Nick told him that it was nothing for him, pretending to feel hurt by his words. He knew that it was just Nick being moody again. “Fine mister moody. Would it kill you to have fun for once?” He asked shaking his head before reaching into the bag he had with him and setting things on Nick’s desk. “Mind helping me out?” Plopping into a chair in front of the desk he motioned to the papers once more. “Since you’re obviously in a mood let’s just work on this then. Like I said, it’s pretty much finished except for the highlighted part. I need you to review that and see if there is anything we can do about it.”

Daniel sighed as the arm wrapped around him, so it seemed as if he wasn’t going to be able to try to skip out of going to school after all. Walking quietly beside Chris he didn’t move away from him, his mind still on the kiss that he had unconsciously returned. Did his mind know it was Chris when he returned the kiss? Daniel wasn’t sure but he knew he felt guilty about it. Part of him afraid that by returning it despite being asleep he was encouraging his brother’s behavior. Glancing towards the other as he spoke he watched him silently for a moment.

 

“It is…” Daniel agreed trailing off as he turned his gaze back to the street in front of them. After a moment he sighed and spoke, “Chris listen… about this morning and the kiss…” Daniel trailed off again. This was harder than he had originally thought it would be. What was he going to say? Tell his brother it was a mistake and he hadn’t known what he was doing? He wasn’t sure, but he also realized he didn’t know how to word it right now either.

"Hace fun? With you? No thank you" he said rolling his eyes turning to sit at his desk and look over the document the other had shown him. Trying to read what it was about and trying to understand how he could help. "And what exactly do i have to do cause i dont quite understand what is here", he said looking at Louis.

Once they reach school he messed his brothers hair. "Dont get into trouble again. If you need anything let me know" added Chris looking at Daniel before walking to his collegues and letting Daniel head to his own classes.

"Hey now, why can't you have fun with me? For once can you get over what happened on the camping trip? We can act like adults here and just be friends can't we?" Louis said again acting to be hurt by Nick's words. He didn't see what the big deal was, he had gotten into the other man's head and yeah they had sex in the woods against a tree. What was the big deal? Sure he was still trying to get into Nick's head and by the way the man was acting he was doing a pretty damn good job of doing so. Still, right now they did have business to discuss as he watched Nick look over the document he had set down in front of him. Sighing when he was asked what it was he rolled his eyes.

 

"It's where the budget problem is coming in. I can only get so much of what the client wants within the budget they have set. Unless we can find something to cut or diminish I won't have enough in the budget to finish. Since you're in charge of the budget and everything I need your help deciding where we can either get the funds from, or if we just need to bring this problem directly to their attention during the business trip this weekend." As if he couldn't help it he had to make one more comment. "I'm definitely looking forward to sharing a hotel room with you this weekend." With that Louis winked before he motioned once more to the paper before him. "Everything else fit well within the budget range I was given for that area. But unfortunately, no matter how much I tried I cannot get this to work out.

Daniel was surprised when he was practically dismissed by his brother watching as Chris went off to his friends. A small frown crossing his face as he just stood there for a moment. What did Chris mean not to get into trouble again? What did he think he was going to do? Sighing he turned his gaze to the school and decided to go to class. He didn't really have anyone to run off too. After everything that had happened at the Halloween party Daniel had not been himself when it came to running off to a new guy every day. He didn't want anyone's attention other than Nick's. Well... and Chris but right now he was with Nick so it was best to keep his relationship with Chris as brotherly as possible. Walking into his class he sighed, hopefully the school day would go quickly and without incident. He had done well to avoid Kyle since Halloween despite the looks he often received from the other man.

'Louis ... i am am adult ... but i cannot trust you. Not at all" he sigh scratching the back of his neck trying to focuse. "Trust cannot be asked but earned" he added looking at all the papers trying to figure out a solution. After hearing all whar he said about the budget and the costs and his mind was starting to work figuring out how to work.

"He ca add some sponsors in this segment and that way we can incrase the budget and all will be good" he said writhing down some names and phone numbers from his agenda. "Called them and see what they say. I know you can handle it because of your quick mouth" he pushed the papets back in front of Louis.

Hearing the comment he frowned not understanding. "What do you mean share a room? We stay in separate rooms" he said quickly looking at the other. No way he would sleep with him in same room. No way in hell.

A girl aproached Daniel at his desk. "Is it true? Did you beg for sex on Halloween?" She said looking at him witglh disgust. Apparently Kyle has spread rumers that Daniel begged for sex to him and he complied but when happened he started to act all coy. "How dare you frame him?"

"He didnt do anything of that" started another girl defending him. It was a colleague of her that was in the cheerleader team.

"That's fair. I'll admit I crossed a line. All I ask is for you to at least give me a a chance. I can be a nice guy." Louis replied. He knew he had messed up and big time, he had pressed a lot of buttons that should have been left alone. Still, he knew he could gain Nick's trust if he was only given the chance. Leaning back in the chair he had settled in Louis watched Nick look over the paper and decide what route to go. Watching him work Louis remained silent until everything was figured out. Nodding he smiled, "Thank you."

 

"Your flustered." Louis said trying not to tease Nick. He had to regain the man's trust somehow and if that meant he was going to have to keep himself quiet then he would do so.

Daniel glanced up when a girl he didn't even recognize approached him. That was... unusual. What she said made him pale tremendously. Was Kyle really going around telling people he had begged him for sex? He wasn't even aware of another girl piping up. He suddenly felt sick and didn't want to be present even more especially when his eyes landed on Kyle. He couldn't believe the man had told others he had begged him for sex. He didn't even technically beg Nick or even Chris for sex. Getting up he excused himself, his first instinct was to find and grab Chris but his brother had no memory of that night and wouldn't provide the sudden support he needed.

 

Finding a quiet spot he pulled out his phone deciding he'd at least attempt to get ahold of Nick. Worse come to worse and he'd have no choice but to go to his brother and try to at the very least refresh his memory of that night. But he knew deep down he didn't want to bother his brother with it. If Chris didn't remember that night it was probably for the best. Dialing Nick's number he waited anxiously for him to answer the phone.

Nick felt back in his chair trying to find his words. His face was feeling a little hot but had to calm himself. Turning his gaze back to Louis wanting to set him off with that remark but just then his phone started to ring. Looking at the screen he saw it was Daniel. Bitting his lip he got up the chair and answered.

'Daniel ... love, whats up?" He asked stepping away from the desk into a corner of the room ignoring Louis gaze. "Aren't you at school? Is everything alright?"

Daniel took in a shaky breath when he heard Nick answer the phone. At least the older man wasn’t too busy yet which made him feel less guilty for bothering him at work. But when he was asked if he was at school and if he was alright he felt himself at a sudden loss for words. “Ah… I am…” He started trailing off as he glanced back towards the building. He had settled himself down a bit of a distance away, right now not wanting to face anyone and have that brought up to him again. He had thought he could move past it, things had been peaceful.

 

Looking back on it Daniel should have known better. Especially with how things had gone but he just didn’t understand why this had to come up now of all moments. “I know you’re at work… but… is there any chance you can come get me?” He didn’t really want to tell him what was bothering him over the phone especially since he had gotten out of having the conversation with him about what had happened between him and Kyle once already. Even if he really didn’t want to have that conversation now either he knew it would eventually have to come up. His voice had shaken slightly at the question, despite trying to keep it steady. His mind was unfocused and things were becoming a bit more difficult.

Louis was sitting across from Nick watching him. He hadn’t interjected when his phone had rang, to be quite honest he was behaving himself. Trying to be more of a coworker than who he had shown Nick so far. Hearing it was Daniel he glanced down at his own watch. The boy certainly should have been in school right now which only made him more curious. But by what Nick questioned next he felt it was best if he didn’t say anything.

Nick narrowed his eyes hearing tge others voice shaking making him worry even more. What the hell happened at school that made Daniel shake like that. "Where are you now?" He asked looking at his watch than turn to look at Louis. "Give me the address and wait there. I'll come and pick you up" he said hopping Louis would help him in this.

After that ge hang out the phone and looked again at his clock. "If you want me to trust you i would need your ... help" he said biting his lower lip on the inside. He had a meeting in 1 hour and hr had to present a new project to his father.

"Can you take my place in the meeting? Eithet try to delay it or you do the presebtation. All you need to know is right here" he said walking to gis desk and taking something out from the desk shifting it in front of him. "You have all you need to say in the first page. Thats the whole presentation" he said looking at Louis hooding the desk with his hands as he was a little bend over towards the other. "Please"

Daniel could feel his heart ramming painfully unto his ribs. In the end he didn’t truly understand why Kyle making up a rumor like that was affecting him so much. But there was another part of him that did know why it was. If Kyle was spreading a rumor like that around, after he had done what he had, then he knew things would only get worse from there. It made him wonder what people would think of him if they knew the truth. He hadn’t begged Kyle for sex, and he wouldn’t beg him for it. But Daniel knew not everyone knew that about him. He flirted a lot, or at least he used to. But that was who he was; he meant little by it, just like some girls were naturally flirty. But he knew that was different, it was always different.

 

At this point he didn’t care anymore. He just wanted Nick to come get him. Giving his boyfriend the address of where he had settled himself he agreed to stay where he was. Once they were off the phone he let a shaky breath out in an almost silent sigh. He knew he was dragging Nick away from his job, but he felt like this was important as well. Even though he was sure to apologize who knew how many times for dragging him away.

Louis was watching Nick, something seemed to come over him and he hastily asked where Daniel was. Instantly he knew something was wrong he could tell by the way Nick was speaking. It made him feel a bit bad for teasing the man more. For today at the very least he would have to hold back as much as he could. What he wasn’t expecting was for Nick to hang up then speak to him telling him about a meeting and presentation he had in an hour. Standing up Louis took the papers set before him and looked it over before looking up at Nick.

 

“You don’t need to say anything else. I’ll take care of the meeting and presentation. You go take care of Daniel.” Louis replied as he ushered the man towards the office door. He wasn’t going to keep him any longer already telling that this was important. He would worry about everything here, and he would let Nick worry about his boyfriend. “I’ll catch you later. Don’t worry about a thing I have it covered.”

Nick didnt expect Louis to accept. He would had thought that the other would make fun of him and ask to handle the situation himself. But no. The other did exact the opposite letting Nick surprised. "Thanks" he said layinģ hishand over Louis arm, smiling thankfuly running out the door and out to his car to go and pick Nick up.

 

In the mean time, at school it was break time and Kyle and his monkeys saw Daniel and thought to make some fun of him.

Daniel was a little impatiently waiting for Nick to come get him. He didn’t want to take the chance of running into anyone who had heard the rumor and wanted to ask him about it again. He had more dignity then to go around begging for sex. It was ridiculous to think that Kyle had started it and that the man had actually convinced people to believe him. In the corner of his eye he caught sight of Kyle, that made him pale again as he turned his gaze away trying to pretend he hadn’t noticed him.

 

Unfortunately Daniel realized that while he was trying to pretend he hadn’t noticed Kyle, that Kyle was not doing the same and was actually heading in his direction. ’Dammit! Why can’t he just keep his distance?!’ He desperately asked himself as he tried to keep himself calm and ignore the fact that the one person he didn’t want to see or interact with was heading his way.

Nick was caught in the traffic jam cursing not being able to get to daniel faster. Reaching his phone he started calling him to see how he was. From his voice he knew that something was up but what could had happened? The fact that Daniel wasnt picking up the phone was making him even more worried.

 

Kyle smiled seeing the boys reaction. The others two were keeping an eye so that no one could see them. "Now what do we have here..." said Kyle getting closer to Danile forcing him to back down, that way he could corner him. When the phone rang Kyle grabbed daniels hand so that he wouldnt answer. "I wouldnt do that if i were you" he said in a low voice keeping his eyes on him like on a pray.

 

Nick cursed and tried to call Chris which respond immediatly so he started to explain what happened and that he is on his way to school. Chris got worried aswell and started looking after his brother hearing at the same time the rumors the punk had created about his brother getting even more angry.

Daniel felt his heart sink when Kyle drew closer to him and spoke. Instantly he moved to back away from him only to feel his back connect with the wall. What was he supposed to do? He had nowhere to run off to and couldn't find an escape route. Ignoring the man's words he tried to turn his gaze away from him when he heard his phone ring. Instantly Daniel went to reach for it just for Kyle to grab his hand. "Let go." He growled his voice stronger than he expected as he tried to tug his hand free.

 

He didn't understand why he was told not to answer his phone but he knew it had to be Nick. It made him panic even more as he tried to find a way out of this. He saw both of Kyle's friends from that night apparently keeping an eye out and that made his stomach flip uncomfortably. "What do you want?" He finally asked tugging against his grip once more. He didn't know why Kyle had started that rumor, and right now he didn't want to know. He did know that they way Kyle was looking at him made his skin crawl.

"Nothing special . . . Just that you will be my boyfriend, that if you dont want the rumors to get even wors" he said leaning in one hand on the wall, closing the space between them, touching Daniel with his finger on the neck, moving down on his chest and stopping on the belt from his pants. He moved one of his lengs in between daniels lengs, his face only inches away from the boy.

 

Chris got out of school looking around the building when he saw the two friends of the punk. He started walking angrilly towards them and before the got to say something to Kyle they got punched away , lying on the floor growling in pain.

"Get your fucking arms off my brother you scum!" He said pulling Kyle and pushing him with a punch in the face a few inches away on the ground. "You son of a bitch!! I am going to kill you!" Started Chris to say launching on Kyle beating the shit out of him, again, even if he didnt quite remembered but it was kind of familiar.

The other two jumped on him but he wasnt going to get bitten. He was going to kill them. The rest of the students got out when Chris beat the shit out of all three but he was also scratched.

"Why did you do that ... Daniel is tge one at fault ... wht are you defending that fagget?" Asked a guy from the crowd. Chris looked angry at him and tge boy freezed.

"Because Daniel is my fucking brother and he is a victim of this piece of shit here" he looked at Kyle breathing hard. "You want to know the truth?! The truth is that this piece of shit raped my brother on Hallowen"

"How do you know that?" asked a girl sceptically.

"Because i beat him that time too. If you dont believe me, ask the director" he added looking at evryone in the crowd.

 

Nick was just arriving when Chris spoke about the past event which made Nick freeze at the school entrance. Chris was screaming so loud that everyone in the yard could hear him. what the hell ... daniel ... he was shock about that information and the fact that daniel didnt told him what happened. thats why he didnt want to return to school

Daniel glanced away from Kyle when the other man spoke. He could feel the tears well up in his eye when the other said he would be his boyfriend if he didn't want worse rumors to spread. He felt his heart sink, especially as the finger moved from his neck down his chest to the belt of his pants. The leg suddenly slotting itself between his made him even more nervous realizing just how close Kyle was to him.

 

Allowing his eyes to study shut he took in a shaky breath only to hear Chris' voice ring out. His head shot towards his brother as Kyle was pulled away from him. He made absolutely no attempt to stop Chris as his brother beat the men up. Instead he stayed exactly where he was not budging an inch. Daniel did feel his face darken when he heard people ask why Chris was defending him. He hadn't expected Chris to respond with anything than the fact that he was his brother.

 

Hearing what Kyle had done to him pretty much yelled to the whole school did make a tear fall and run down his face. What hurt more was hearing someone question his brother's words. He wanted to leave and he didn't want to return even more now. How was he possibly going to face Kyle or the rest of the school after today? Hell... this even made facing Nick hard. Afraid the older man would be mad because he hadn't come out and told him what had happened.

Just when everyone started questioning Kyles statement the director came and took the three beaten boys, Chris and Daniel togheter in his office. Everyone was now sure that daniel didnt do anything wrong and that Kyle was the scumb and he was just a victim.

Once in the office he looked at all of them sighing. "I will start with first things first. Daniel, are you alright? I am very sorrt that it came out to this" he said with a sad voice. Then he turned to face chris. "I am sorry to tell you this, and i know it will be harm on the team, but because you beat them you will not be allowed to play tonight"

" but dirrctor he ..."

"I know Chris but rules are rules"

"Fuck this..."

"Watch your language. Now ... As for you three ... i will call your parents and expell you, and Kyle i will hace to report the incident on halloween to the police. I dont think you know but ... we installed cameras everywhere in school and when i say everywhere i mean everywhere. That means you will be charged for what you did" he ended making Chris widdening his eyes. "Chris Daniel, you are dismiss"

Chris got up and head out with daniel feeling his head explode so he had to lean on the wall. His memory was turning back to him after the incident.

 

Nick was waiting outside in the yard for Daniel to come out.

Daniel was careful to keep as much of a distance between him and Kyle as he could while they all stood in the office. His eyes weren't capable of meeting anyones, not even when he was spoken to directly. Daniel never even verbally responded, instead just providing a shrug. What more was he to say? No he wasn't alright? Did it really make a difference at this point? He was upset to hear that Chris was not going to be able to play with the team because of what he had done. Considering his brother had only tried to stand up for him. He understood the other's response as well, but he still stood there silently.

 

When he heard that cameras had been installed everywhere in the school and that what Kyle had done to him had been caught on one of said cameras he was stunned. For some reason it didn't make him feel better. If it had been caught, then why had they not done something sooner? It didn't make sense that nothing had been done until now. Still, he didn't speak. Finally they were told they could leave and he turned to leave the office with Chris. As they walked towards the front of the school to leave the building he finally spoke. "I'm so sorry, Chris. I didn't mean for you to get banned from today's game." He had never meant to hurt his brother or get him banned from the game. Yet he felt like this was his fault.

 

Turning he noticed Chris was leaning against the wall. "Please don't be mad at me." He murmured softly. He knew Nick was waiting for him, and so he moved over to Chris and hugged his brother tightly. "I have the best brother ever though. Love you, and I'll see you later." He didn't want to run off on Chris after his brother had stood up for him, but he wanted to get to Nick. Turning he moved off and found him rather easily. Without even an ounce of hesitation he moved into Nick's arms wrapping his own tightly around his boyfriend as his eyes shut tightly.

Chris didnt understand what was happening to him feeling his head explode. After daniel left he could remember everything that happened before the accident.

 

Nick was surprised when daniel wrapped his arms around him. He hugged him back, holding him tight."sorry that i didnt got here sooner"he whispered lying his head on daniels.

[Sathenus]

"It's okay." Daniel murmured into Nick's chest as he just relaxed into the older man's arms. This was felt safe, this was a place he knew he could relax and not be hurt. Nick would never do anything to hurt him, just like he knew deep down neither would Chris. What his brother had just done for him came to the front of his mind again, that was the second time Chris had beat up the other three men. This time he couldn't help but hope that it was for the last time as well. He never wanted to see any of them again, but he knew that it was Kyle who had truly crossed a line. He had no idea what the other man had planned for him if he hadn't been caught by Chris, or what he had planned for him if he had tried to refuse to be his boyfriend. He felt like right now that wouldn't be a problem anymore.

 

Kyle would face charges for what he had done to him on Halloween. As much as he knew he should be happy that Kyle more than likely wouldn't walk away without some sort of punishment with the tape and all he couldn't quite feel relieved yet. Looking up at Nick he spoke his voice soft, "I'm really sorry I never told you." He knew that Nick had wanted to know why he hadn't wanted to return to school, and they had promised to talk about it later. That night though was when they had gone to the bar with Nick's friends and that conversation had been pushed aside. Daniel still did not ever want to return to this school, even if everyone now knew the truth and knew he had not begged Kyle for anything. It wouldn't erase what had happened here, and it wouldn't make him feel better.

"Its fine .... dont worry about it .... i understand" he said trying to comfort him caresing his cheeks kissing him on the forehead keeping him further to his chest feeling that the other needed a moment of silence.

 

Chris managed to get to the front door and saw the two of them. With all his memories back he was feeling angry. He remembered everything befor and after the accident and how they acted like it was nothing. He returned in school heading to the gym starting to play all by himself.

Daniel just rested against Nick silently, his arms wrapped tightly around his boyfriend. There was a small part of him that was worrying about his brother but for the most part he was just focused on Nick. For a few moments he just remained pressed against him before Daniel stirred again. "Let's get out of here." He didn't know where they would go or what they would do but he wanted to get away from the school.
