Isa Katsura
Name: Eiji Tsuzuki Age: 5000+ yrs old Race: Kitsune Height: 6'1" Weight: 168 lbs Personality: Mild-tempered, Eiji rarely raised his voice at trivia things. He is patient to hear your excuses although it is unknown whether he would accept it or not. If you were to anger him, you can hear the danger in his tone. But more than an almost flawless deposition, can you find his flaws? Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. (A decade ago) Living peacefully alone in the shrine, the season was not exactly the best in terms of warmth. However, as a spiritual being like himself, Eiji was accustomed to all types of temperature. Settling down a mortal shrine, he still had some believers coming to the shrine with prayers to bless their mortal problems, some troublemakers with lots of free time whom came to disturb him for fun and curiosity. Rare but there were some. With the shrine located near the mountain top, only perseverance seekers can seek for his house. Despite all that, the life was so peaceful that Eiji decide to act like a human. Sealing his aura and identity, the kitsune had been living like that for a couple of decades. One cold winter morning, a loud wailing traveled around the shrine. Startled, Eiji searched for the source and it led him to the entrance. Identifying a cradle at the gate, Eiji looked around for any source of figure as a cradle just can't transport itself here. Sensing no source of life other than the infant in the cradle. The kitsune picked up the baby and cradle it within his arms. "Abandoned by your parents?" Eiji asked without expecting any response. Unable to leave a child out in the cold, Eiji decided to raise it - at least he would have a companion for at least 20 years. Walking back to his shrine, the kitsune played around the infant's face, watching the different expression from the baby. "I shall name you.." LoneDigger
Hikari. That was the name the kitsune decided to name the human infant. It meant 'light' in Japanese. The baby seemed almost small and helpless that day, bundled in a pastel, light blue blanket that matched the little boy's eyes. His hair was thin, but there, and blond. And despite making such a racket when he woke up in the cold in an unfamiliar place, the baby settled down once he was taken into the warmth of the shrine and given attention by the temple's guardian, whom the boy would soon learn to look as a foster father, a mentor, and maybe even one a day, a lover. But for now, Hikari was just a infant and all he wanted was to be held, fussed over, and fed. Speaking of food... he hadn't eaten anything in days. The reminder caused the baby to cry again, and chew on the fox demon's shirt. Searching for milk.
Isa Katsura
Human food is not a necessity for the kitsune, it was just a luxury thus, he didn't have any at his place. However, the mortal infant would need it more than regular mortal. As the kitsune had never took care of a child before, he was quite flustered as to what he should do. The loud wails of the child cut the concentration of the demon. The child needs food and fast. Unable to make out what must be done, Eiji quickly prick his index finger before pushing it into the baby's mouth. Stunned at what he did a couple minutes later, Eiji had accidentally formed a blood contract with the child. Mentally scolding himself at his questionable wits, the kitsune glanced at the kid. "Making a demon formed a contract with you at this age, you must be really scary, aren't you, Hikari?" The pale haired demon commented, gently pinching the infant's baby cheeks. "Now, I should go down to the nearest place to get food."
LoneDigger
((@Isa Katsura I tried to mention you, hope it worked. lol I'm a bit new to this still.)) Hikari squirmed and cried in the demon's arms, frustrated that he could not find any trace of milk from the kitsune. He was obviously too little to even realize that only mothers gave milk, and well, Eiji wasn't exactly his mom. But having the finger placed in his mouth suddenly, made the infant grow silent as he suckled. It wasn't food exactly, but at least it gave the infant something to keep himself busy with. Hikari then grasped his tiny hands onto the finger almost in a possessive manner when the demon spoke to him. The baby couldn't understand yet, but all he knew now was that this finger belonged to him and he wasn't going to share it with anyone. Even if it was attached to a hand, to an arm, to a body that belonged to a powerful demon. Besides, Hikari liked the kitsune, he didn't think the fox was scary. Isa Katsura
Now that the child is silent, Eiji could concentrate once again. Used to being alone, now there is a mortal being thrown to him, most likely by fate. The kitsune would need a job to feed the child - a job that allows him to stay at home to look after the infant. After ensuring that the infant had fell asleep, the kitsune disguised himself like a mortal with a business suit and a shorter hair than his original form. Going down to the mortal land, Eiji ventures around in search for a job. (5 years later) Time flew fast and Hikari is already a toddler. Eiji's looks, on the other hand, still remained the same. It was also the reason why he had to switch jobs every 1 and a half years in case anyone where to suspect. It was one of those fine days where the kitsune enjoyed the company of his foster son. Sitting at the platform of the shrine, watching over the kid, Eiji had a letter in his hand. Reading the letter, the content requested the household to sent the child for school. "Hikari, can you come over here for a while?" The kitsune beckon for the toddler.
LoneDigger
Hikari grew up fast, and all the while the little boy was happy with his new home. And really, it wasn't new to him at all. As the temple and Eiji were the only things he had ever really known, since he was too young when abandoned to remember his old home or real parents. Hikari even grew to recognize and love the fox demon as a father figure. While the kitsune opened up the letter, Hikari played outside the temple, watching a swallowtail butterfly and then chasing the insect around when it's wings took off into the air. Though the child left the game when he heard his name being called, and ran up to Eiji. "What is it, Daddy?" The boy asked curiously as he peered at the strange letter. Isa Katsura
Stroking the blond locks of the toddler, Eiji asked an indirect question. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" All the underworld demons were able to catch a glimpse of a mortal's fate and the fox demon did once had the ability to foresee. However, after he left the realm, his foresight ability had also decreased with time. Since he treasured the boy a lot, the thought of the other spending time away from home was unbearable. The human child would still need education to survive in the cruel world of mortal. Sighing slightly, he explained to the toddler in simple language. "What do you think of school? You can make lots of friends." He lifted a smile at the child, waiting for his reply.
LoneDigger
"I want to be a kitsune, just like Daddy!" The child replied cheerfully as he hugged the fox demon's leg with a giggle. The thought of also having to be away from the only home he had ever known and the only being he had ever learned to trust apparently also frightened the boy. As suddenly tears began to fill his eyes and he stomped his foot down stubbornly. "No! I don't like school! I don't need friends! I want to stay here with you!" The toddler stated firmly with a sniffle as he gazed up at the kitsune with big, puppy eyes. "Please don't send me away..."

Isa Katsura
Eiji was careless. Possibly due to raising the child from young, his defense was down. How could he show the mortal his true form? Taking a mental note to disguise his true form even at home, he must not let the child grow up remembering his true form. After all, a human life is like a candle yet their ignorance can be very troublesome. He would not allow his precious child be identified as weird. Despite that, the words of the child was satisfying, even though it might never be true. A mortal as a demon? The boy was too pure to be tarnished. Glancing down at the child's teary eyes, the kitsune placed the letter aside to lift up his baby boy. "Silly, who is sending you away? Everyday after school, you'll still come back home." He assured the human child. "We'll still eat, sleep and play together." With the hem of his kimono, Eiji wiped away the young child's tears. "So don't cry, Hikari." LoneDigger
Hikari didn't care what anyone said. He still looked up to Eiji as his biggest role model. So it was only natural that the boy wanted to be just like his adoptive father. "I don't want to go... it will be scary there!" Hikari protested as he buried his face in the kitsune's chest and sniffled loudly, clutching onto the demon's kimono with his tiny fists. Lifting up his head again so that his dad could wipe away his tears, then he hugged Eiji. "I'll miss you..." The boy added in quietly. Didn't matter if it was only for a few hours, he would still feel sad.
Isa Katsura
Placing a kiss on Hikari's forehead after the boy quieted down, the kitsune chuckled softly at his foster child. "Other children would be excited to go to school, then there's you." Stroking the blonde hair of the child, Eiji lifted a smile. "As an apology, tonight I will cook you your favourite dishes, is that okay?" He glanced at the child. "Let's go." Picking the child up in his arms, the kitsune had to fill up his child's particulars to enroll into a school. Moving into the living room, Eiji placed Hikari onto the cushion as he settled on the tatami mat. Picking a pen, he completed the enrollment letter in a matter of seconds before sealing it in an envelope. Turning to look at his child, Eiji directed a question. "Hikari, want to help me mail this letter?" Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
LoneDigger
Hikari pouted and stuck out his tongue at the fox demon's words. He did not seem to care what the other children did, or thought about school. He had already decided that he did not like it. But the child seemed to brighten up again when told that he would have his favorite meals cooked tonight. "Thank you, Daddy..." The boy whispered as he hugged the kitsune, content to be held in his foster father's arms. "Okay." Hikari agreed to help as he sat up slightly. Isa Katsura
Handing the child the letter, Eiji stood up before pulling his foster child into the same position as him. Holding the toddler's tiny palm within his larger one, the fox walked with the pace of the human child. Walking to the entrance, he only allowed Hikari to go out after the boy had worn his shoes. Donning the small shoes for the boy, Eiji started moving out to the letter box, dangling his hands by his side to allow the child to grab onto the kitsune's hand if the little one wishes to. Ah... I guess I can't stop pampering him... The fox sighed.
LoneDigger
As Hikari trotted along, his little legs didn't move very fast, so it was clear that the kitsune had to slow his pace when walking with his adoptive son. His one hand clutched tightly to the letter, and with his other grasped onto Eiji's palm. Hikari did not like to wear shoes, but knew better than to argue with his Daddy on the matter so he let the fox demon put them on without a single complaint. After pushing the letter into the mail box, Hikari moved to grasp back onto the kitsune's hand with a smile. Swinging it happily as he walked along. Isa Katsura
(A few weeks later) Eiji was excited for his human child's first day of school. With the toddler dressed up in that cute uniform, the kitsune can't help but take countless of pictures with his newly bought camera. The fox had changed his appearance to be permanently human-like as well. With a neck length white hair, no more showing of any animal features, spells restricted to when the human is asleep and more restricted clothes compared to kimonos, Eiji can only hope that the human can get used to it. Disguise do take away his spiritual energy furthermore to held the disguise almost all the time, it will be difficult to deal with, but for the sake of the little one, at least until the child grows up, the kitsune will have to endure it. But for now... "Hikari, pose!" Eiji lifted up a goofy smile as he took another picture of his young one.
LoneDigger
As the years went by fast, Hikari grew from a small toddler into a cute kid, to a stubborn teenager, and finally into a handsome young adult. Hikari was twenty years old now and even though he had met many people in his life, the male always found himself going back to Eiji, as his adoptive father was the only person, (well not actually a person, of course the other was a kitsune) that he truly felt comfortable around. And he had never learned to care about another human the way he did the fox demon.
Isa Katsura
Years indeed flew fast and as if within a blink of an eye, Eiji had watched the human child grew into a fine young adult. It was a fine day again and the kitsune was making dinner while waiting for his foster son to return home from school. With more than a decade, it is impossible for the fox not to develop any attachment towards the mortal. However, the boy was soon going to reach adulthood. Like a bird, it was about time for the human to "spread his wings and fly off the nest", at least until graduation and when the human found a steady job. Glancing at the clock, it was about time for the boy to return home. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
LoneDigger
"Dad! I'm home!" Hikari announced loudly as he walked in the doorway, hanging up his coat and setting his bag down as the male walked into the kitchen to greet the kitsune. "You made my favorite tonight? What's the occasion?" The young man teased the fox demon gently as he smiled up at the other.
Isa Katsura
Whipping his head upon hearing a familiar voice from the distance, Eiji greeted the other when he saw the figure. "Welcome back, Hikari. How's school today?" The kitsune turned off the gas before giving his foster son a pat on his head. Listening to the human's next set of questions, the silver haired let out a chuckle. "Must it be an occasion to cook for you your favorite food? Well, if you put it that way, I guess so. After all, today was the first time I met you." He shifted to place the final sets of dishes on the dining table. "Go wash your hands."
