-JOKE-
Ba Sing Se was a busy place that never rested and with a large population of citizen's as well as a large group of refugees that were taking shelter from the Fire Nation. Dhama, a run away military officer and current thief, was walking the crowded streets of the refugee district. There was little soldiers or patrol to be seen around, no one in Ba Sing Se really cared for the refugee's, they were all mostly seen as a burden to their homeland and so naturally the citizens of Ba Sing Se left them for the wolves or pretended they didn't exists which was perfect for Dhama. Disguising himself as a refugee, no one bothered to look his way or pay him any attention and if anything they ignored him purposely because refugee's were an eyesore. Other refugee's also ignored him because all of them were trying to make it by on their own, they had more concerns over their own family's well being than another guy who lost everything because of the Fire Nation. It had also been a year and a half since he fled from his military duties, not many people would recognize him or at least regular soldiers wouldn't. Dhama, like the rest of the refugees, was walking through the outskirts of Ba Sing Se which were gradually less nice than the inner parts of Ba Sing Se and with more criminal activity. Which Dhama participated in, he knew stealing from refugee's wasn't going to get him much coin because most of these people had come into Ba Sing Se with nothing but from time to time he was able to spot himself something very nice such as the daggers the man he had been tailing was carrying around. Both looked quite valuable and crafted by professionals, he was only aiming to grab one of the daggers since the man he was tailing was less likely to notice one missing from his side though not for very long so he'd have to make a quick getaway and what better way than to get lost in the immense crowd of people. It was a perfect plan and even if his target did notice something he wouldn't be bale to catch him and none of the soldiers would care for a refugee's plea, the dagger would be sold within the hour. The raven haired male began walking closer towards his target as they both headed down the street towards the crowded market and when they were surrounded by a crowd of refugee's Dhama enacted his plan. He shoved past his pale victim, playing it off as an accident as he grabbed one of the daggers at his side. "Ah, excuse me." Dhama turned his head towards the pale guy for a brief moment, smiling lightly before turning his head back. He continued into the crowd making some distance between himself and the man he just robbed, the coin he'd get from the dagger would definitely be enough to get him out of Ba Sing Se. Dhama hated staying in one place for too long and Ba Sing Se had nothing more to offer him, he needed to move on to the next town and make bigger scores than stealing daggers off of people. After slipping out from the crowd of people the darkly toned man headed down an alleyway, the man he sold all his findings too in Ba Sing Se wasn't far from his location so he felt pretty good. BlaqueCatt
Though it had only been a week since Shoza had been forced to flee the Fire Nation or face execution at the hands of the army generals, he had gradually become accustomed to the stares he received whenever he was in a public place. Whether he was in a remote mountain village or a large city such as Ba Sing Se, the people around him never failed to direct distrustful, hate-filled glares his way. Not that this surprised him. His appearance marked him as a citizen of the Fire Nation, and with the Fire Lord having instigated the war that was currently plaguing the world, it was no wonder that he was seen as suspicious, or perhaps even guilty of some crime. It was worse now that he had finally reached Ba Sing Se, as he did not have enough coin to afford housing anywhere but the outer wall, which meant that he was constantly surrounded by refugees that had suffered due to the cruel battle tactics the Fire Nation army practiced. Because Shoza could feel eyes burning holes into his back no matter where he went, he kept his head lowered as he walked through the streets of Ba Sing Se, his black bangs hiding his dark amber eyes. He had always been the type to avoid drawing attention to himself, and now his loner personality, which had led to near constant bullying as a child, might end up saving his life. Shoza was a skilled fighter, both with his daggers ad his fire bending, but he wanted to avoid conflict whenever possible; due to his hot-headed temper, which was common in Fire Nation citizens, he might lose his cool during a fight and accidentally reveal that he is a fire bender. Ever since reaching Ba Sing Se, he had been telling those who asked that his mother was from an Earth Kingdom village and had been assaulted by a Fire Nation soldier, leading to his "odd" appearance. The story had worked well enough for him to acquire a job as a blacksmith's apprentice, but there were many people who seemed to see through his lie. At the moment, Shoza was making his way down one of the back alleys of lower Ba Sing Se. He had just finished purchasing some supplies for the blacksmith, and he was relatively close to the shop when someone bumped into him. His eyes widened and he swayed slightly, having been caught off guard, but he didn't stumble, as years of training at one of the Fire Nation's martial arts schools had nearly perfected his balance. Normally he wouldn't have spared the stranger so much as a glance, but he felt something shift at his waist, and the sudden lack of weight on his right side had him on alert instantly. He locked his eyes onto the man who had bumped into him, and, not once breaking his stride, trailed his hand down to feel at his waist, his eyes narrowing in anger when he found that his dagger was missing. He thinks he can steal from me? Idiot. Shoza began to weave through the crowd, never once taking his eyes off of the man. Despite his black hair and amber eyes, he blended in relatively well, having replaced his black shoes, black pants, and red shirt for the dark brown pants, brown shoes, and green shirt that Earth Kingdom commoners usually wore. The thief ducked into a dark alleyway, and Shoza was right behind him; he had kept a relatively safe distance at first, as to not arouse any suspicion, but now that the two of them were more or less alone, he didn't care if he was seen. He stalked up to the man silently, and before the man could turn the corner and walk out onto the street, he had the man pinned against the wall of one of the buildings lining the alley, pressing his right arm against his throat with his dagger in his left hand. He stared into the man's eyes, his irises seeming to burn like flames. "You took something of mine," he stated. His voice was rather dull and monotonous on the surface, but there was anger simmering beneath.
