Please disregard the number of mages in my previous posts. (IDK WHY I DID THAT, ACK.)

Something for me to refer to:

Leader - Black

Secretary - Green

Head Medic - White (of course!)

Head Security - Black

Number of mages in GC:

White: 5

Blue: 0

Black: 7

Red: 2

Green: 1

Kagura is, in a nutshell, "a precocious punk who flirts with people and danger much too often for others' comfort". He is also terrible with comforting people, so there's that. He is hot-blooded and short-tempered, but lily-livered he is not. In fact, he can be brutal in more ways than one.

He loves a good challenge, but hates to admit defeat, making him a sore loser. In competitions, he practises the chivalry of age-old knights where there should be no advantages pertinent to outside factors; those with a "leverage" (by networking, especially) are considered cheaters in Kagura's books. His overly righteous approach comes off as obstinate and sometimes foolish as well as not strategic.

He believes a person should be constantly reminded of reasons to live, because to forget their purpose is to waste their life away as a mindless, directionless caricature.

He was an orphan before Hitsui took him in as a ward; specifically worded by the mentor himself, "plucked from the garbage can". Kagura grew up since his early teenhood amongst senior members of Gentlemen's Club, and secretly feels privileged as an "early member" compared to newcomers that joined the secret society after him, although he tries to be modest (miserably badly) whenever his mentor or the leader is present.

Tadashi unnerves the club with both his piercing bored eyes and "bring forth your worst" complacency. He approached the club with a Doberman beside him, and asked for a place called home. Unsure on how to turn him away, the circle permitted his stay in exchange for his services as a green mage. He worked his way up from the "nameless errand boy" (who was left alone even by Kagura) to the present day secretary who falters at nothing - even news of their own people going missing.

Mostly, he feeds from the pantry and sleeps in the medic room, although he can be found asleep on the floor in his little office as well, surrounded by his animal friends (really, it's just his Doberman and, recently, blonde rat). The leader has once asked if he would like to have his own place, but the offer was declined with no reasons provided, much to everyone's chagrin.

In regards of his entrance into Japan, I consulted a friend of mine and this is what he has said:

  Quote
Oh! And on the Japanese refugees thing, I couldn't find concrete numbers; they only started counting in 2007, but, from the Japanese Foreign Ministry site, it's listed that they recognised only 577 refugees between 1982 and 2010.

Taking into account that the number of accepted refugees peaked in 2010, I think we can guess that in 1995, there wasn't that many refugees accepted.

Unfortunately, they didn't give any reasons as to why those people were accepted, but if I were to hazard a guess, it'd be because they had skills Japan needed.

So, basically, in 1995, that character wouldn't have been able to get into Japan. Not unless he was clear on who his brother was, and his brother was willing to vouch for him. I think familial ties are a massive advantage when it comes to seeking asylum.

As for his survival of a bullet wound to the heart, I found it OP at first, but after some deliberate consideration, I've decided that it's okay. But to mitigate its OP-ness, bear in mind that red magic is the only one that overrules the need to be resourceful on both physical and mana energy. If the red mage ran out of mana, then he dies. Is that fair? Because IMO he otherwise is stronger than a vampire.

Back to the immigration thing - you'll either have to provide a different backstory or control his brother as an active NPC as well because Japan is strict with allowing foreigners in.

's prompt and other suggestions, I've delved into finding an appropriate word and have decided upon the word "craft", for its association to sorcery, definition of a "profession", and the brotherhood of freemasonry*.

Freemasonry (or just plain Masonry, for short) is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values, and one of the world's oldest and most popular fraternal organizations. Freemasonry is perhaps the most misunderstood, yet popular, "secret society" the world has ever known.

He can't be born in '95 though because the roleplay is set in the 90s. He'd be a foetus or infant. c:

Here is a link that helps you guys visualise the society during that age. It's Japan's "Lost Decade", so dark times.

Well, I was alright throughout until the last part where he's pretty much adept to every part of the white magic. He sounds like a one-man army to me, BUT since he is limited by offensive skills, it's fine. Don't suddenly summon up a storm or tornado in the early on for the roleplay and it's all good!

On that note, since you mentioned the nurse as his sensei, will you be playing her as NPC?

He is adept but he's not a master, it'll take a looong looooong time for him to become one. It's more of being attuned? It comes naturally, even so, there are still bumps on the road. If he does that in early rp, he'll basically be dead otl.

She'll appear, yes but I don't know for sure if she'll became an important NPC in the future.

The reason I need to know is that I have to plan out how to initiate interaction with all of you before we round up into a group. I'm not a fan of "I was just passing by" for EVERYONE (or most of everyone).

I have to wait until

puts up their CS before I can draw a mindmap and tailor the main plot. The 90s for Japan was a tough time, because on top of economy crisis, there were terrorist attacks, which is fuel for plotline!

And I want to say real fast that doing a low fantasy during the 90s in Japan is really freaking cool and exciting! And is there anything you'd like for us to read specifically/general research while everything is getting set up?

Hey man, I read through the updates on your character, and I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to reject your character again. I know, doing hours and hours of research for one character isn't good, but your character just has too many holes, and not even holes in parts that can be overlooked; they are in parts that are in - what I find - integral parts of his backstory.

1) My friend did some research on this, and found out that in 1990, when your character would be 13, there wasn't a power struggle in North Korea. Kim Il-Sung was still very much in power and very much in control.

2) I would like to know how your character got into North Korea, as I felt you simply hand-waved it away. Japan has a history of being strict with immigration, so I feel that his method of entering Japan would be quite important to his backstory. As a teen with little prospects for employment, it seems more likely that Japan would turn him away.

3) This is the part I have a big issue with, his status as a spy. I feel that as an underaged person living on his own - who is also unemployed, to boot - would be a rather conspicuous person. Japan is big on making sure new citizens or PRs have proper employment, so wouldn't it make more sense for your character to have a cover?

Those are my issues with your character. If you still want to stay in this RP, I would need you to either completely revamp this character or make a completely new one. I presume you're in for the

, wanting to play as a Korean and all. My suggestion is to use South Korea instead of North Korea. I discussed it with two people among a group that are avid about laws, and such is their response:

I accidentally posted it here, sorry. :T Was testing out the BBCode and thought I was in inbox. But after some thought, I figured I'd keep it here so others can use this as reference as well.

nahh It's alright :D I had fun doing all these researches and I'm sure I can stash this character somewhere. I'll do a complete revamp on the character. I rather feel bad you doing all these for me and thankful at the same time! I will stay if you still have patience with me ^_^
