Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. I like all your characters, for the record. Just to be fair if, and most likely when, our characters engage in combat, I need to assert three important combat roleplay rules: You shall not attack without consent from outside the roleplay. That is to say, when your characters are arguing and you feel that a showdown is appropriate and would spice things up, bring up your idea for a fight with the other roleplayer in the OOC thread (I will make that soon, I promise, for neatness' sake). It is rude to just forcefully engage another roleplayer's character in a battle (or kill without permission in the same offensive post). I do not encourage coercion by peer pressure, and will be very upset if I see any of you do this. On that note, PLEASE voice your concerns if a roleplayer makes you feel uncomfortable, either in the OOC thread or through me as the GM (it is my responsibility to ensure your fun is secured!). I don't suggest PMs between you two because it spawns a lot of "he says she says" which can only be proven by an admin with authority to rifle through our inbox ... which is dramatic and not the fun kind. I have once witnessed a roleplay as a referee where a dude playing as a demon attending a highschool for angels and demons forced everyone into his "marble reality" and killed them all with his "hell dragons". Everyone unanimously said: "this is boring lol" "wtf Jake ruined the rp > Let's not be a Jake. I'll be the referee; I promise to scorn nepotism and uphold equality, haha. - You shall not extemporarily add in a strength or veto a weakness, AKA "cheese". cheesing (v.): to twist the outcome of the RP by invoking something random and not mentioned prior to that moment Example: Your character is losing. In desperation, you as the writer wrote the next post with additional info or powerups that were never mentioned or hinted so that your character survives. If your character might die, please accept the verdict (graciously for your own dignity). You are very welcome to join in with a new, fresh character after he dies. In fact, I pay personal respect for those that are invested in a roleplay to this extent. We're all adults here; come on. It is obvious from the intro of this RP that people disappear for good and that insinuates death and such. Don't make it a kiddy pool for us all. DEATH HAPPENS (sometimes)! :T - You shall agree on an outcome and respect the agreement. "Hey, can we fight?" "Sure! I think A would win this time? My B isn't strong yet ..." OR "Hey, can we fight? How about B wins this time because A was too cocky and careless?" "Okay! How severe would you want the fight to be?" "I don't mind if A dies ... lol. It would add drama to the others. I'll make a new character who struggles to replace A's role in the team!" Or, tip: you can ascend a recurring NPC into your new main. Be creative, and most importantly, be thorough so no one gets a nasty surprise later on. Once you've agreed on an outcome, stick to it and respect your decisions. That means no demeaning or shit-posting about anyone you've fought with in the roleplay for in-character battles as revenge outside of the roleplay. I HAVE seen people (on other forums and platforms) that make up lies about a person they roleplayed with just because the outcome didn't make their own OC shine as Best Badass. *sarcastic* How dare these plebians, right? If you can follow Combat Rule #2, you shouldn't have trouble abiding this rule either. I actually wrote this in short for my first post - "RP etiquette" but figured that clarification wouldn't hurt. Just saw your post (I had the thread up and was writing a post when you posted; probably ninja'd you on my screen). I don't think I can handle more players. While an old saying "the more the merrier" rings true, I am admittedly terrible with management once the project gets big without an assistant, and I'm uncomfortable with "working" with a stranger here so- Long story short, no. Teal deer much, sorry.

Noise Prince
Thank you very much, I'm looking forward to some action bits! I've definitely dealt with cheesers and the like of the folks you speak of and part of the reason I stopped doing much action related role-plays for a good while. I can't wait to start roleplaying with everyone! ^v^

23 degrees Celsius
Reminder: There are no smartphones back in 1991. Just Nokia, mostly. The kind that survives even a fall from the third floor ... And GameBoy had no colour yet. People still played pogs. And uh, for fashion, they're into "school uniform" European style, "gothica" (think dark Victorian with some casual flair), and something so weird I don't know how to describe ... ganguro I think. Oh, the technical term is "yamanba".
