"It's just a bridge. It will help connect you two without actually touching each other. I guess this only works for little kids but still, you two can't touch so just imagine you're touching through the sheet," the doctor explained. "Now, I have to go check on the lab results for Kanae to see if they are ready yet." The doctor doubted they were done but he walked out anyway.

 

"I want it to be kind," Kanae suddenly blurted out as soon as the doctor walked out the door again. Clearly he had been thinking about what their pups would be like. He wanted them to be kind, and strong. "I also want them to be passionate." Kanae found kindness and passion to be two of the greatest qualities.

Ristu looked down upon the sheet stretched between them laughing slightly after hearing the doctor's explanation, he must had pups that was the only way that someone could come up with something like this.

 

Upon the doctor leaving Ristu faced Kanae.

"It's kind of a cute idea." he chuckled.

 

Ristu smiled as the other told him he wanted the pup to be kind and passionate.

"Perhaps the pup could have all three." Ristu smiled.

"It's kinda cheesy but I get excited thinking about it." Ristu couldn't wait to have a pup of their own although he wanted to wait until the other was ready.

"Ya, I'm excited to finally start a family and to settle down. I want kids..." he said the last part rather quietly while gripping at the sheet between the beds. Kanae stared at it thinking it really was a good idea. A small smile crept on his face. The young wolf was happy to have some kind of connection to Ritsu if they couldn't just snuggle together.

 

Not too long after, a young nurse came in and brought the food with her. She was fairly kind but she clearly didn't want to deal with any of them. She was a beta that resented Omegas and Alphas for the way they lived... They lived high class lives while Betas were considered common folk....

 

The nurse placed the food on the trays and gave them to the two but it seemed Kanae's soup was switched with some porridge. The nurse explained that it was doctor's orders and that he had to eat nothing but porridge until they found out what was wrong with him.

Ristu smiled as he watched the other touch the sheet that was stretched between them, it was kinda cute.

 

Ristu sighed in relief as the nurse walked in with the food he was starved although Ristu wasn't able to sit up due to the pain in his side. Ristu sighed in annoyance after a couple attempts of sitting up each of the attempts failing.

"I can't sit up." Ristu stated making sure that the nurse know and hopefully teach him a way to get around having to be spoon fed.

The nurse sighed. These two had never been in a hospital before.... the nurse walked over and grabbed a kind of remote hanging from the bed and handed to Ritsu. She then pointed out the buttons that made the bed sit up straight and lift the legs. "This is so you can rest easy and not strain yourself sitting up." She pressed the button to make the bed sit up so Ritsu was in a position to be able to eat. "Now please don't just try to sit up."

 

Kanae sat himself up and stared at the porridge with a slight frown. He was hoping for something like chicken noodle soup but it seemed the doctor had other plans. Still, he started eating due to absolute hunger. The omega finished the whole bowl before looking over and making sure Ritsu ate as well.

Ristu's face turned a deep red as the nurse showed him how to work the electric bed lift, he was a bit ashamed that it was that easy and he hadn't figured it out by now

"Oh...thank-you." Ristu said softly before placing the bowl on the tray in front of him.

 

Upon the nurse leaving Ristu began to eat slowly, only a few spoonfulls into the soup Ristu ended up spilling almost the entire bowl on himself luckily the soup wasn't very warm by the time it had gotten there and the nurse had taught him how to use the bed remote.

Kanae looked on worried. He wished he could help but he was already under strict orders not to go any closer. Of course, that was one of the hardest things the omega ever had to do in his life. "Ritsu, we should ask Miza for help... or someone else in the pack that you trust..." Kanae was finally ready to start getting involved with the rest of the pack.

 

The omega just didn't want to see his mate hurt himself or anything so he just hoped that something would help to get Ritsu better. Kanae just stared from his bed clearly getting upset by watching as his mate spilled his soup all over himself, barely able to even lift the spoon.

Ristu was stubborn he didn't want others to see him at such a weak state he didnt want to be looked down upon.

"I dont want them to see me like this." Ristu stated blandly feeling a bit empty inside, hid strength is what he usaully felt and at this verymoment he was anything but strong.

 

Ristu laided back down and closed his eyes not bothering to clewn himself off, Ristu at this point shouldn't be making his own decisions for they would only lengthen the downwards spiral of his health.

"Please, just ask someone for help!!! I want to help you but I'm not allowed.... Please, I don't want to see you get any worse..." Kanae was about ready to cry. His ears were down and he felt so helpless that it was killing him inside. "Please.... Please ask for help..." He begged trying to keep himself from going over to Ritsu's side.

 

The omega pulled his feet up onto his bed and pulled his knees in close against his chest. Kanae could feel the tears building in his eyes and quickly brushed those away.

Ristu sighing knowing it was killing the other to not be around him.

"When do the results come in?" Ristu asked softly .

 

Ristu at this point was already drozy as his head laied agansit the pillow.

"I'll be fine so don't cry losing a little bit of blood never killed anyone." Ristu didn'teven really know how close to death he was a couple hours ago or the severity of his state.

 

After some time passed Miza returned to check on the boys.

"How 8s everything going Kanae?" She asked seeing that Ristu had fallen asleep awhile ago.

"Ritsu won't ask for help... he hasn't eaten, he's starving, and doesn't have the strength to feed himself... I want to help him but I can't.... The test results won't be in for another hour... he fell asleep before I could say anything to him.... I hate how stubborn he is... It's one thing to be weak.. it's another to ask for help to get back on your feet and be the strongest again... I'm weak... He's just being an ass by not asking for help." At first, it sounded like Kanae was still on the verge of tears, but by the end he got to the point of just frustration as he ranted on about what happened.

 

"I'm going to sleep some more so please try to get him to eat the moment he wakes up... Though you might want to order something different for him." Not that it mattered because by the time Ritsu woke up, the drug would have fully wore out, and he would be able to feet and move his lower body while gaining more strength in all of his body. Kanae didn't care and just laid down not touching the sheet between the beds and tried to sleep.

Miza laughed softly.

"That's Ristu for ya." Miza frowned upon seeing the other on the verge of tears .

"Dont worry I'll get him to eat."

 

About an hour and a half later Ristu woke up and Miza called the cafeteria and asked hem to bring a jello and a sandwitch.

 

Ristu huffed softly upon hearing he other.

"Im not a child." Ristu stated slightly annoyed.

 

"I know you aren't but a child cant feed themself and uou weren't so i made up your mind for you besides this way you can't burn yourself and the jello is sugary so it'll help reprouduce blood."

Kanae was still asleep when Ritsu woke up and the doctor walked in not long after as well. He looked over at the alpha, happy to see he was working on getting some food and then he looked over to Kanae, who he walked over to and woke up. "I have your test results and we finally figured out what the problem was. The Omega was half asleep until he heard what the doctor said and he perked up right away.

 

The doctor told Ritsu to stay put and actually have something to eat while he lead Kanae out of the room to explain what was going on. It didn't take more than 5 minutes for the Omega to return, red faced, and looking down at his feet. He quickly moved back over to his bed which he pushed closer to Ritsu's but so there were only a couple feet between the beds. "Good news is that it's not contagious and so long as Kanae doesn't sneeze directly into your wound, you can't get infected by any germs. Once you are up and running again, then you two can take all the time you need." The doctor was cryptic at the end as he left.

 

Kanae knew what he meant and was laying down with his back facing his mate, a blanket covering him completely just in case.

Miza by this time had sat Ristu up, as the Omega left the room. Miza actually ended up spoon feeding him due to his hand eye cordination not be the greatest at the time.

 

Ristu nearly sat out his food as the doctor and his mate walked in his cheeks turning a bright red.

"Ristu! Don't spit it out." Miza said slightly annoyed after all the effort it took to get him to eat.

 

Ristu paused at his mates behavior.

"Im wearing clothing you know... so you cant really sneeze into my wound without me taking them off."

"Of course I know that which was why I was telling you that it's ok for you two to be together again," the doctor explained, almost laughing as Ritsu practically spit out his food. "Now, please eat your food and gain back your strength." The doctor turned and left the room again, closing the door behind him so Miza could continue to feed Ritsu.

 

Kanae hid just a little farther in the blankets not really wanting to face Ritsu or Miza right now.

Ristu just wanted to hide somewhere the doctor laughing at him only made his insecurities worsen. To make things worse he really needed the comfort od his mate right now and he was hiding under a blanket refusing to even speak to him.

 

Upon the doctor leaving he began to speak once again.

"Kanae, speak to me I want to know your alright, I mean your not contagious which is a good thing so please stop sulking." Miza sighed and place the food knowing that Ristu wasn't going to eat more right now although she placed it in his reach just incase.

 

"Don't make me go over there." Ristu said almost jokingly.

"Don't worry I'm not going to rush you into things right after we're both back on our feet." The bed creaked as Ristu stood up and used the wall to walk to the other bed, Miza pulled up a chair for him and helped him sit down.

"I'm here to protect you after all."

"I'm fine... you just worry about getting better ok...." Kanae was really just embarrassed more than anything else because of what this illness ended up being... "I'm fine, it's just a cold so I'll get better real soon... I promise..." Kanae had a cold but that had already passed and now he was left with something else that would take some other treatment to get over. Though, this might be a good time to get Ritsu to actually eat.

 

"If you eat then I'll come out from under the blanket. You have to eat all of it though and Miza will tell me if you did eat it!!" Kanae was pretty sure this would get the stubborn alpha to eat his meal. The omega of course covered himself more with the blanket and held onto it so he wouldn't come out until it was time.

Ristu huffed softly.

"Its just a cold is it not?" Ristu was a bit mad he other wanted to hide himself unde the blanket. Feeling as if the other make was lying to him Ristu gripped his pant leg.

"There is something else isnt there."

 

"Also you should know not to boss me around."Ristu ruffled Kanae's hair through the blanket.

"I might just rip that blanket right off you....say whwt you feed me and I'll eat it all."

"Well, as your mate you should listen to me!!!" It wasn't like that made a difference.... An Alpha and Omega's relationship was that of a master and slave contract. Omegas couldn't go against their Alphas. "You're the one that needs healing!!" Kanae finally came out from under the covers, his hair now sticking out in every direction possible.

 

"I'll feed you but please... no more questions...." He looked down seeming a bit depressed or something. Kanae just didn't want to have to explain the cure to his issue right now... not in front of Miza... not while Ritsu was injured... and not while he was so mentally unprepared....

Ristu sighed softly seeing the other in such a state he was worrried out of his mind for the other.

"Your....not going to die are you?" The alphas voice nearly quivered he didn't like the thought of losing anyone else in his life. Ristu handed the other his food so ge could feed him.

"We'll be ok."

 

Miza had a slight idea of what Kanae was going through after being told about the bite wind fever.

"Im going to go out and get you a few things Kanae although you might not use them for quite awhile ok?"

"Of course I'm not going to die!! You heard the doctor, it's not that bad...." Kanae turned away as he took the food to feed his mate. He started feeding Ritsu but turned bright red and nearly dropped the food all over him when Miza said what she did before getting up and leaving. "M-Miza!!" She knew.... Kanae knew that she just had to know what was going on... Now the omega wanted to crawl in a hole and die of embarrassment.

Eventually the day came for Ristu to get his stiches removed and he was sent off to a room to have them taken out under a small amount of sleeping gas due to his past violence. Eventually it was all over and they wheeled back a drozy Ristu back into the room.

 

Miza on he other hand had finally gathered up all the supplies she though they would need and put them in a discreet box filling the box with a bottle of lube, condoms both male and a specail type made for male omegas that was similar to a female condom, a guide book and multiple aftercare products .

"Finally got everything gather i know its embarrassing for you but trust me you'll thank me later."

"Miza, I'm still not sure if I'm really ready for this... I know we can have sex without me getting pregnant even if we don't use the condoms because I still have my collar on but still... Do you think we should just start working on having a family? I've been with Ritsu for nearly a month now... But is that enough time to just start a family? Heck, I haven't even met the rest of the pack yet.."

 

Of course, Kanae took the time to talk things over while Ritsu was out getting his stitches removed. He took the box and looked inside it still feeling a bit of insecurities about doing it with the alpha. It was about time because Kanae was absolutely sick of feeling... well, sick... His senses were dulled and he was in the weirdest heat he'd ever been in..

 

When Ritsu was brought back in, Kanae hid the box under his pillow for now...

Miza sighed.

"Better safe then sorry." Miza looked over at Ristu.

"Besides I don't know how much longer he'll be able yo wait...hes been around you in heat for so long....personally I'd wait untill your comfort with everyone to have pups."

 

Ristu really was starting to burn at both ends of his desire.

He wheeled over to Kanae crawled onto the bed and laid there wanting to be close to him.

"Alright, Once I'm feeling better again then I will have Ritsu introduce me to everyone," Kanae said smiling at Ritsu who crawled into his bed. The omega crawled in with him and the two napped for a while until the alpha finally woke up and was back up to full strength.

 

"Ritsu, there is something I need to tell you so please, can we go home... as soon as possible... I can't wait any longer...." he said pulling out the box and holding it close. Kanae refused to show his mate the contents saying that it was a surprise for when they returned. The omega finally said goodbye to Miza and had her wish them good luck.

 

When they finally did get out of the hospital and return, Kanae waited until the door was shut before taking of his clothes completely and opening the box to show his mate. "My sickness wasn't all a cold... It was me going into a kind of heat that luckily didn't give off a lot of pheromones. However, the only way to cure it is for us to... you know... make love..." he mumbled feeling incredibly embarrassed.
