Isilme07
Kazuhiro Shioya (和夫 塩屋) City: Nagano prefecture Age: 24 Blood type: O+ Zodiac sign: Capricorn Appearance: Slightly dishevelled, longish black hair; very dark eyes that seem blue when they catch the light; wears glasses. Slender frame, 168 cm tall. Occupation: Graduate student at the Department of Science, Shinshu University (Matsumoto, Nagano prefecture) Likes: Science, reading, cats, sweet things Dislikes: People, chaos, deadlines Family: Parents (in his hometown) and a younger sister, who is studying in Australia Kazuhiro is finishing his MA in Science at university. He’s an introver and he’s always been a model student, top of his class, and has dealt with a lot of pressure from his family and teachers. He often feels isolated and only has one close friend. His heart was broken a few years ago and that led him to put up even higher walls around himself. Assignments and exams have been piling up lately and there are multiple deadlines coming; he also has to make a choice between leaving university to work after the MA or staying for a PhD soon. After a pretty bad panic attack, he decides to go away for a week without telling anyone, and ends up in Tokyo, trying to become invisible among so many people so that no one will bother him or demand things of him. This is the first time he’s sort of broken the rules and done something unexpected and he feels troubled but he wants to put his thoughts in order. Kazuhiro heaved a sigh. He did it very often those days. The good thing was, he had acted this time, gotten away and come closer to breaking the rules than he ever had before. That should give him some time put his thoughts in order. He had left Nagano for Tokyo in a hurry that morning, throwing a few items of clothing and his laptop in a backpack. His family and Asami would try to contact him, no doubt, but he had silenced his phone. He had also left a note where he knew others would find it, saying I’m off for a while. Will be back. Kazuhiro wanted to listen to himself, for once, not to what others have to say about his life and how he should live it. He was a honour student. Even now, about to finish his MA in Science, he had the most potential to continue into PhD studies if he wished, as his professors constantly reminded him. Or get hired by some big name company. If only he weren’t so worn out, so unhappy. This was a good idea, he said to himself one more time. His rational, logical side was appalled, as if it had never expected to meet that wilder, spontaneous little Kazuhiro that had been dormant so far. He took some of the clothes out of his bag and laid them out on the bed. The hostel room was tiny. It was the only thing he had been able to afford, a minuscule single room in a basic but tidy youth hostel. Tokyo was expensive and he would also have to keep himself fed and use the train. It was past lunchtime and he decided to check if there was a cafeteria at the hostel, so he tucked only his laptop and some money in his bag and left the room, pausing to look at the signs pointing in different directions. mangoboi
Name: Tatsuo Hirohito Age: 25 Gender: Male Type: Seke Race: Human Blood Type: AB+ Zodiac: Scorpio Occupation: Janitor at a Hostel in Tokyo Likes: Weapons (knives and guns in particular), antagonizing others (playfully), peppers, war history, painting, Japanese History Dislikes: Timid people, weakness, losing a fight, his scars, crowds Personality: Strong in heart, soul, and mind. Tatsuo is often cocky, over-confident, and gets injured frequently in fights. Despite any strengths he has, the young man actually has many insecurities about himself as well as other fears--not that he'd admit it. Despite how cold and callous he can seem, Tatsuo actually is a kind person who does what he can to help the less fortunate. History: Raised in an abusive household, the young boy learned how to take a beating at a young age, as well as how to defend those he loved. He started to try fighting back, only to quickly be beaten back down again. When Tatsuo was 11 years old, he decided to try taking up martial arts and various fighting techniques with weapons, and his delinquent tendencies started to shine. By the time he was old enough to move out, Tatsuo had experienced many hardships and seen many things no human ought to, and despite how it hardened his heart, he still showed compassion for others. Perhaps he is mistrusting and relentless to his enemies, and perhaps he has a temper and gets into gang fights often, but he knows what it's like to be weak, scared, hurt, and hopeless, which is why what little good left in him shines through various acts of charity. He donates what he can to beggars and offers meals to the homeless whenever he has anything to spare, and is more likely than not willing to defend an innocent person who fell victim to the crimes on the streets. No, he isn't afraid to fight people or stand up to officials if it means protecting the less fortunate, the abused, or the weak. Tatsuo was almost late for his shift--but thankfully not yet. His lip was cut and a little bloody, though it had ultimately closed up and wouldn't continue to pour out. His knuckles were also scraped up from throwing punches, and he had several bruises hidden under his janitor uniform, though he played it off as nothing was wrong. He already knew he was risking losing his job if he were unable to do his work due to injuries... he just... couldn't help getting into the fights that he did. But, so long as he worked hard and didn't mess anything up, he would be able to keep his job there... ...And he needed this job. People didn't usually come in there after him to start fights. No, not in the building. It earned him money, enough to survive off of, and it gave him hours of peace every day. Sure, working as a janitor there wasn't the funnest thing in the world, but he hardly felt the need to complain. The young man took out the mop from the bucket of soapy water and started swabbing the cafeteria floor quietly, minding his own business. Usually the customers of the hostel didn't care to tangle with the janitors and workers there--other than when they wanted to file a complaint to the cook or the poor guy at the desk or whatever else. But they didn't care to harass the maids and janitors too much... Not to mention today the cafeteria was pretty quiet today. Tatsuo gave a small sigh of relief, glad that today would probably be a slow and peaceful day for him...
Isilme07
Kazuhiro made his way into the cafeteria and was pleased to see that there were not many people around. He didn’t particularly like noisy places. He ordered a sandwich and a glass of ice water; the weather was still warm even in September. The temptation to take out his laptop and work was strong; but no, a responsible, level-headed student he might be, but he had come to Tokyo to think things through, not type away furiously at his laptop. He kept his gaze down for a bit before looking at his surroundings. There were two members of staff, a silent couple and a middle-aged man who looked too old to be staying in a place like this. Another figure caught his eye. The man mopping the floor looked strangely out of place, like a mobster out of a movie, good-looking but tough. Kazuhiro wasn’t that good at analyzing people; experiments and chemical reactions were more of his thing. Well, if he is working at a youth hostel, he can’t be too much of a shady character, he thought. Kazuhiro didn’t even realize he was staring at the man. mangoboi
Tatsuo finished mopping up the floor of the cafeteria and placed the mop back into the rolling bucket that was placed back on the floor, about to head off to the entryway that he was supposed to clean up with next. He stopped however, when he felt something a little odd. He wasn't sure how he sensed it, or why it really mattered, but somehow, he felt a pair of eyes on him. Slowly, Tatsuo turned his head to send a glare at the young man who was placed not too far away with a glass of water in his hand and a sandwich in the other. Why was this guy staring at him? Was he a new recruit from the gangs? Did they send some poor newbie after him? Or maybe it was just some punk looking for a fight. Then again, he didn't quite look it... no. One must never be fooled by appearances. "You got a problem, mister?" He asked the man with a slight growl on his voice. Rough, just like he was, but the question was intended to sound more professional like, "May I help you with something?" That's not how it came out sounding, and after all he did have ulterior motives and questions, but at least he tried to make it seem a little polite... He really didn't want to get fired. Isilme07
Kazuhiro had been watching the man for a while. He didn’t often see his type around university. He reminded him of the few kids at high school who wanted to look tougher than the rest and picked fights and smoked; not that he had ever mingled with them. He had always watched them though, like he was watching this young man now. Rule breakers. Then the man spoke to him and he was so startled that he literally jumped off his seat and sent the glass of water flying. It crashed on the floor, breaking into tiny pieces. Oh no, oh no, oh no. He wanted to die of embarrassment. The man had been moping the floor. “I am... truly sorry!” he croaked, and his voice sounded a little too nervous. “I was s-startled. Let me pick that up...” He had to do something quick, so he bent down to pick up the shards with his bare hands.

Tatsuo watched with surprise at how clumsy the other man was, knocking over a glass and it breaking once it made contact with the floor. Then, the man surprised Tatso again when he knelt down to pick up the broken pieces of glass. He knew that was a good way to cut his hands, didn't he? "H-hey! I mean, don't do that," Tatsuo ordered. "You'll cut yourself--besides, it's my job. Just wait here a moment," he said with an annoyed sigh. He walked over to the janitor's closet and returned the mop and bucket where they belonged before getting out a broom and dustpan, walking back over to the scene and shooing the other with a hand. "Just step back and let me take care of this," he said, sweeping up the little pieces into the dustpan. Once he'd finished, he threw away the glass shards and looked back over to the clumsy male. "You're not hurt, are you? I think we have a first-aid kit," Tatsuo said. He had a feeling the man probably had ended up cutting his hands on the glass anyway. Since luck did not seem to be on his side... And Tatsuo admitted that he wasn't too good with first-aid kits (he probably would have done a better job with his own cuts and injuries if he was), but he should at least offer to point him in the right direction, yeah? Maybe he could fix himself up without Tatsuo's help... Hopefully... That was--if he'd even gotten cut. For all Tatsuo knew, the young man had been careful with the sharp pieces and hadn't actually gotten harmed at all..
Isilme07
Kazuhiro had remained frozen, watching the man do his job. Only when the shards were swept did he realize that he had cut his finger and it was bleeding a little. He felt like an idiot. He handled glass instruments and lab stuff everyday and this seldom happened. His first reaction was to hide his injury, wrapping his other hand around it. “I’m...I’m fine,” he lied, but his hand felt sickly warm and he glanced at the wound. The sight of his own blood always made him feel a bit dizzy. He held on to the edge of the table for support, trying to preserve some of his dignity while doing so. He really didn’t want to bother this man, who looked kind of dangerous, any further.

Tatsuo sighed and looked at the man before him who was now leaning against one of the tables for support. Not only could he tell that this guy was lying, but it seemed that the sight of blood made him a bit woozy. He half wondered how the guy could stand looking at him, then, since Tatsuo had a few visible cuts. "I know you're lying," he said, heaving a sigh and grabbing the other man's wrist, holding it up to get a look at the cut on his hand. Without another word, he pulled the man along as he headed over to one of the offices and headed inside, letting go of the guy as he then grabbed a small case from one of the cabinets in the small office. There was always a first-aid kit in here should the need arise, and the manager made sure every employee knew where to access it. So, Tatsuo grabbed the kit and opened it up, pulling out one of the band-aids before grabbing the guy's hand again and putting it over the cut. Being that Tatsuo knew next to nothing about medical aid, he hadn't thought to clean the wound or anything of the sort. He figured since it was such a small cut the guy would be fine (after all, Tatsuo took blows far worse than that and he usually never even wrapped them up, and he liked to assume other people were as strong and reckless as he). If there was one thing he knew, however, it was that this guy really wasn't a gang member or anything, just a simple guest. After all, there was no way somebody would take a guy like him into their gang. Not when he was so weak and such a bad liar. "I'm Tatsuo," he introduced, looking at the other man with his stone-cold black eyes. "Next time just don't try picking up broken glass with your bare hands, it's kind of a bad idea, y'know? Just leave it to employees to deal with, please." He was blunt, but wasn't rude or too harsh. Then again, he didn't sound all that caring, either... But, that was just the way he was. He didn't have the best people skills...
Isilme07
Kazuhiro wasn’t used to being dragged along like that, but the man was strong and he had already made a fool of himself so he’d rather keep silent and just walk. He blinked several times when the cut was patched up in such an inelegant way. He was sure cuts had to be disinfected first. Well, he doesn’t look like a nurse, does he, he thought. He managed to move past his shocked state when the man spoke again, piercing him with his gaze in a way that was not exactly intimidating but still gave him goosebumps. Kazuhiro narrowed his eyes and frowned a little. He wasn’t used to being addressed like this. True, he didn’t have much of a life but at least people at university respected him –some of his colleagues actually trod carefully around him. He supposed the real world was harsher than that, but he really had no way to tell. “Kazuhiro Shioya,” he said coolly. “I apologize for bothering you when you are working.” He could have left it at that but once he started speaking, he sometimes didn’t know when to stop. “I actually work in a lab with glass implements so I do know that, mister.” He took in the half-closed wounds on the face of the man named Tatsuo and his frown deepened. “You, on the other hand, don’t really know your way around a first-aid kit, do you?”

Tatuso frowned when the guy, Kazuhiro, went to say that he actually worked in a lab and was used to handling glass. Then he went on to insult Tatsuo's level of skill in the medical department. "You wouldn't know by how foolishly you picked up the glass shards with your bare hand," he scolded. "And as for me, I'm perfectly fine with medical skills. I got you a band-aid didn't I?" he asked. He didn't know hardly anything about how to care for wounds, but that was always because he'd never cared to. For him, if he got injured, he'd put bandages around it to stop the bleeding. That was good enough, wasn't it? And for the smaller wounds, cuts and scrapes, he'd just leave them be. They didn't really need attention as far as he was concerned... right? ((ooc: sorry for the wait! >.

He felt inclined to antagonise this guy a little, for some reason. Maybe because he hadn’t really spoken with a stranger in a long while, and he wasn’t good at it so he had no clue how to have people like him. He eyed the cuts and small darkish bruises on Tatsuo’s face, especially the one on his lip. Tatsuo was the kind of guy that girls would like, he caught himself thinking; except he looked a bit rough. “You look like you have an accident every other day,” he noted. “Maybe those would heal faster if you disinfected them.” He pointed at the first-aid kit. “Want me to show you which one it is?”

Tatsuo looked at the other in surprise when he didn't leave and instead continued conversation. He wondered what was up with him--why would he be wasting his time talking to Tatsuo of all people. He was just a lowly janitor that looked like he could beat anyone up that just looked at him the wrong way. Yet Kazuhiro didn't seem much intimidated by him at all. "Um... these weren't from accidents," Tatsuo said, his eyes still locked on the male in front of him. The guy intrigued him--he really seemed strange to Tatsuo, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. "And they're fine." He didn't think he really needed help from a stranger. That, and he was used to having his wounds heal on his own. But, he supposed that to some guy who was working in a lab or something, little cuts and bruises were a big deal. The lad had probably never witnessed a real fight before. "Alright, fine, whatever," Tatsuo said, pinching the bridge of his nose. He'd humor the guy for now.
Isilme07
Kazuhiro mulled over Tatsuo’s words. Not accidents. Then how...? His eyes narrowed. They were little more than strangers so it would be rude to ask, wouldn’t it? The man had piqued his curiosity, however. “They are not fine,” he said simply. “An infection on your face would not be pleasant at all. This one, for example,” he pointed at one of the nastier-looking cuts. “The colour is too dark. But it won’t get worse if you put a bit of this on it.” He showed the man one of the little bottles in the first-aid kit, and then grabbed a piece of cotton. “Always wash your hands first, and then soak the cotton with this. It stings but that can’t be helped.” He contemplated doing it but suddenly the thought of touching the man so much made him freeze. He really wasn’t good at dealing with strangers, much less laying his hands on one. “So, erm, it’s easy and...” He shoved the bottle and the piece of cotton onto his hand and stood up. “I never really finished eating.” That wasn’t exactly true. Still, he didn’t move. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
mangoboi
Tatsuo watched as the man took one of the bottles from the first-aid kit and explained to him what he was supposed to do to avoid infection. He still didn't think any of it was a big deal, but he'd decided he'd listen to the guy anyway so as to not seem rude. "Mhm," he hummed after Kazuhiro pointed to one of his cuts and finished his instructions. After that, the man seemed to grow a little uneasy and nervous, mumbling something about not finishing lunch and shoving the bottle and cotton into Tatsuo's hand. He gave a sigh and said, "Alright. Run along, then." He didn't really need to stick around for much longer, and Tatsuo would do as Kazuhiro had instructed--even if only to get him to stop nagging. He didn't need one of the customers at the hostel fussing over him so much, so if it would get him to go away, Tatsuo would do it. Though he'd probably just go back to his old ways again after the man left. Regardless, Tatsuo headed over to one of the bathrooms where there was a sink, and quickly washed his hands before applying the disinfectant to the cotton and then applied it to the small wounds on his face. He didn't bother with the ones under his clothes--he really didn't feel like stripping right now. Tatsuo threw away the cotton in the trash and then brought the bottle back to the first-aid kit where it belonged. Hopefully the guy from before would have left by now and went back to... whatever it was he'd been doing before they met. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
