Scars from the Past [with Tetsu]

Year 3058

 

After experiencing a steep climb of human evolution, the earth finally got roded of its minerals and other components. Animals went instinct and the earth started to counteract the greedy way of life of the humans. Earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions. Nothing was safe and the steep climb of human technology couldn’t safe them from the fury of mother earth. Now the Ecosystem is trying to find its way back to a normal state. Those creatures that were lucky enough to survive the massive destruction tried reproducting and adapting to the new climate. The main prey and predators (including humans) that we know got reduced to small numbers, if not going extinct completely. Everything able to adapt became new prey and predator over the few years after the mass destruction. The insects and mammals able to survive grew big and strong without their natural predators. Yet there were also those that fell prey to the new predators. Humans being an example. Though they were fairly able to adapt to the new surroundings; insects, mammals or even other humans with territory battles due to scarce food made the life in this new world hard. The slogan "eat or be eaten" is a definite rule in this new world.

 

One of these creatures fates belongs to a young human male named Aster. Surnames don’t hold any value in this new world, the formal way of addressing someone would be putting their “pack” position before the name: Hunter Toni or Healer Aster for example. Said young man is like mentioned a healer and thus responsible for caring for the wounds of the hunters or fighters of the pack. One of these jobs is also searching for new medicine or new plants to create said medicine. As such even the Healer of the pack has to head out into the new world and brave the creatures lurking in the shadows. Yet even earth hasn’t settled down fully. Disasters still happened more frequently and Asters group of humans had to travel more often than not. They hoped to find a place to stay though, to finally settle down and make life easier for them.

History:

Born in the new world, knows of the past of the humans from his grandfather that barely survived the disaster and died later of old age instead of getting killed by predators. Since childhood he showed interest in the arts of healing and became apprentice to their healer at the age of maturity (14 years) and has since his 22th birthday taken over the position.
