"I'm fine... I ran into that punch after all..." Sega couldn't even look up at his mate at the moment. He just sat there staring down at the food he made for himself. Heck, the omega couldn't even bring himself to finish eating it. "I think I want to go back to bed...." Even though he wasn't very tired, and his heat had stopped, he just wanted the day to be over with. Maybe tomorrow would be a better day....

[Kotorichan]

Alicio opened his mouth to say something but then stopped, his eyes widening as a realization washed over him. "Sega... Was your friend right..?" He asked softly. "Did you really only let me mark you because you were in heat?" His voice shook, this time it wasn't with anger, but with sadness. It felt like his heart was breaking at the idea. He really did love Sega in his own, strange, way. "Do you regret it?"

"Of course not!!" He looked over at Alicio worried he upset him in some way. "I made my choice I just think you two would get along better if I took the time to introduce you both. I am happy to be your mate I just wish you could get along with the only friend I've ever had.... He's looked out for me practically all my life and I feel like the least I can do is introduce him to and help him understand the mate I chose." Sega couldn't believe Alicio thought that... Yes, he was in heat and it did seem like a last minute decision but he really cared for the alpha... he just didn't want to have to get rid of his friend in order for it to work.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio let out a soft sigh of relief. "I'm sorry... His words touched on one of my worries..." He gently took the boy's hand in his own. "I would very much like to get along with your friend, I know we got off on the wrong foot... I only worry that he will be unable to accept our relationship because..." He cut himself off and shook his head. "No, I shouldn't be the one to tell you this..."

 

He leaned in and kissed the omega on the forehead. "Would you like to finish eating or get some sleep?"

"What are you talking about?!" he practically pushed Alicio off him wanting to know what he was about to say. "I'm not hungry or tired. What was it you were about to tell me? Please Alicio, no secrets." The omega wanted to know what was going on between the two.... It was too hard for him not to.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio bit his lip and looked away, hesitant to say anything. "Your friend... He seems to be in love with you..." He said softly. "He said that if I hadn't come along you would have gone to him instead and he would have been able to make you much happier than I ever could... That you only chose me because I'm an alpha." He looked over at the boy again. "I want to get along with him, I really do..."

"Oh... I see.... Well, I guess if he was an Alpha I'd have chosen him and it's probably bad to say that's a big part of why I didn't choose him but I didn't choose you just because you were an alpha.... If that were the case I'd probably already have kids with someone else as I fall for the first alpha I saw. I don't know if he told you this but I dated a lot of alphas... none of them ended well... I managed to keep myself from being marked and I asked you to mark me, you're clearly different. Please know that I have gone through this long enough to know who's right to be with."

[Kotorichan]

Alicio nodded slightly. "He did tell me that you had a lot of bad experiences with other alphas.Which doesn't surprise me, I know it is common for us to be... Unreasonable, to put it nicely." He lightly brushed a strand of Sega's hair out of his face. "I really do love you Sega, and I want you to be happy."

"Thank you Alicio, I'm really happy to have met you." He finally managed to smile a little. Feeling a bit better now, the omega sat down to continue eating. He managed most of it but just couldn't finish. He got up and cleaned the dishes away. "Do you want anything? Some coffee or anything?" Sega asked.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio stood up and followed him to the sink, slipping his arms around the boy's waist and lightly kissing his neck. "I'm fine... I can clean the dishes for you. You should get some rest." He paused for a moment, his lips brushing over Sega's mark. "Sega... Please don't ever allow yourself to be hurt for my sake again... I would rather die than see you injured."

"And the same goes for me. I'd rather take a hit than see your face swell." He smiled a little and stepped back. There were only two dishes so maybe it was alright letting him do it. It certainly showed he would be a good husband stepping in to help. "I'm sorry, I'm going to lie down," he stated. The omega gave his mate a kiss and turned to slowly walk back to his room. Sega couldn't help but think about his life from now on. He paused and looked at his hand with a slight smile wondering what kind of ring Alicio would get him if they married... When they got married.

[Kotorichan]

"Still... I promised to protect you didn't I?" Alicio returned the kiss gently. "That sounds like a good idea, you must be exhausted." He smiled and pushed up his sleeves before starting to wash the dishes. After he finished he made sure that the kitchen was clean and then went into Sega's bedroom. He lightly knocked on the door before entering so he wouldn't surprise the boy.

The omega put his hand down quickly before Alicio could see what he was doing and just over and smiled a little as he laid in the bed. "Thank you so much," he said. The Omega made a little extra space in the bed and tapped it to try and have the Alpha come and lay down with him. "It's alright if you stay a while or do you still have work or something?" He shouldn't offer for Alicio to stay but Sega actually wanted the company now.

Alicio happily laid down next to him, gently pulling him close. "No... I only had to go in because there was an emergency. I took the week off so I could take care of you." He pressed a kiss to the boy's forehead. "I still have my classes, but I was worried that your body would be sore after everything..."

"I was a little stiff but after some light stretching I'm alright. What we did felt too good to be left in pain," he said smiling. Sega was so happy that Alicio had taken the time off of work. This would prove him to be a very good husband and an even better father when they had kids. He was flexible and looking out for them... Though, their relationship was still young so it couldn't be helped.

[Kotorichan]

"Still, it's not good to push your body too much..." Alicio's brow creased in concern. He lightly reached around and rubbed the boy's back. "Even if you aren't too sore I want to let you rest as much as possible... Well, you should get some sleep. I don't want to keep you up if you're tired."

"Honestly, I'd like it if you could lie down with me and we just talked for a while. I might sound clingy so you can always refuse but I actually like cuddling... It's something no one really knows about me..." he said. Sega was speaking softly as he was a bit embarrassed to admit all this. Still, Alicio was the one person he should be able to open up to and be completely honest with...

[Kotorichan]

Alicio smiled gently and pulled the boy closer into his arms. "Of course, love spending time with you." He peppered Sega's face with kisses. "I'll cuddle you as much as you'd like." His fingers moved to lightly stroke his lover's hair. "What would you like to talk about?"

"I'd like to know more about you and your plans for our future. I told you about what I wanted for the future but I want to hear it from you. Like what kind of stories do you want to tell our kids about our lives?" Sega was just so happy to feel Alicio right there with him. He smiled gently laying there.

[Kotorichan]

"Ah... I'm afraid that talking about myself would not exactly be a cheerful subject." Alicio sighed, his smile fading away. "I am aware that I have been born into a very privileged position, but there have been many downsides..." His gaze moved away from his lover. "Since I was born my future was already decided. I would take over my parent's company, marry an omega, and have as many children as necessary in order to have an alpha successor. It sounds cushy I know, but I always wished I could have a simpler life..."

 

"I have seen how much stress this job caused my father, and how he clearly favored me to my siblings. I don't want to be that kind man." He looked into Sega's eyes again, trying to hide his sadness. "I love you Sega. I want to spend my life with you and make you the happiest person alive. And I want to love all out children, as many or as few as we have and whether they're alphas, omegas, or betas. But as long as I'm connected with my family I will have to fight to protect you from the pressures of higher society." He lightly cupped the boy's cheek, rubbing his thumb over the skin. "Of course I'll protect you, and of course I'll do everything in my power to make you and our children happy. I just wish it could be simpler..."

"Well if it helps at all, maybe I should work as well... I could work for you and help you with your work so you don't have to get so stressed. I won't be able to be a stay at home mom but at least if I help you then our kids can see both their parents without worrying about one being too tired to play with them. I just want to make sure you are comfortable." Sega was willing to give up his dream since he learned he was an omega if it meant helping his new mate. Betas may not be able to provide the way an alpha could but there was also a lot more expected of an alpha. The omega was getting a bit worried about how they would live their lives together and raise their kids.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio's eyes widened in panic at the suggestion. "No, no, of course not." He took both of the omega's hands in his own. "I am going to make sure that you get the life that you have always dreamed of having... No matter what I have to do." His gaze met the boy's. "I just felt that it was important to be open with you about my fears and worries. I don't want you to feel as though I am hiding things from you."

Sega suddenly felt really bad. Maybe his whole life was just him being really selfish. He dragged his friends down, had to get a job he could take a week off a month and just quit when he found a mate, and now he found a mate that was probably too good for him. Tears welled in his eyes. "Am I selfish?" He gripped Alicio's hands tightly. The omega was barely able to hold the tears from falling.

Alicio's eyes widened in horror. "Sega... Of course not." He leaned in and kissed the boy's fingertips. "I wish that you were more selfish if anything. I want to spoil you and make you completely happy. I want all your dreams to come true, no matter what I have to do. I love you so much Sega."

"I really don't deserve someone like you!!" He nuzzled into Alicio's chest placing the arm he wasn't laying on over the other and held on tight to him. Sega was surprisingly emotional today but he figured that had to have been because he found his love, then Alicio and his best friend fought over the omega... Every word that came from the Alpha was elegant and almost scripted it was so amazing. Sega couldn't tell if he was happy or ashamed for being so overbearing.
