Lyrie hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to answer. "What kind of person... I don't really know how to describe him..." He closed his eyes for a moment and thought about it. "He's really outgoing, and always made me laugh..." He nuzzled closer, his cheeks flushing deeply. "Um... Jakil was my lover for almost two years, but then he just disappeared one day and I haven't heard from him until now." His voice had an underlying tone of sadness. "I was... Really heartbroken when he left... And really worried that something happened to him..."

Mauve almost regretted asking. After two years of being someone's lover, then being suddenly abandoned for a year, and Lyrie still seemed to be in love with him now. He wasn't upset at all when he called out of the blue, needing a place to stay, no prideful reluctant refusal even for appearances. Lyrie just earnestly invited Jakil back into his life, not knowing what might result. What if he got hurt again? What if Jakil wants more than a place to stay once he's here?

Lyrie was attached to someone who had left him in a way Mauve couldn't help but compare to him to himself, a drone still attached to the vampire who left him to an uncertain world of an auction slave.

"I'll make myself scarce while he visits, so you can have your time with him," Mauve told him. "You could leash me to the bed again to ensure it,"

The words felt so weird, the accomodating thoughts in his head came so naturally to him but said out loud they felt wrong. The imprinting's fading effected each drone in peculiar ways. So while he still wanted to accommodate and please his master, yet he didn't actually want to follow through. It was a dreadful feeling, it was dishonest, though he couldn't pinpoint what the lie was. He wanted to be at Lyrie's side always, and especially to supervise this Jakil, who he didn't trust in the slightest. If he was at his peak, he wouldn't have even considered needing to be leashed and locked away to make sure he didn't go against his master's wishes. But now, he felt it was a real possibility that even if Lyrie explicitly told him to keep a distance, he'd disobey him, so if Lyrie wanted time alone with Jakil, he would have to make sure of it.

Lyrie frowned slightly at the suggestion, sitting up slightly so he could look down at the other man. "What are you talking about?" He pouted. "Why would I want to tie you up? You've been so sweet and taken care of me."

The fairy leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to the drone's lips. "Besides... Just because I'm letting him stay with me doesn't mean I'm not upset with him. So we're not gonna be all lovey dovey." He smiled and nuzzled into Mauve's neck. "I have you, I don't need to act all desperate to get him to stay with me..." He trailed off, realizing how much that said about himself. He really would beg people not to leave him if that's what it took. "Besides, you'll make sure he isn't mean to me right?"

Mauve's eyes widened a little when Lyrie frowned at him, and lifted himself so he was looking down at him. He wondered if he was considering the suggestion, before he pouted and confirmed otherwise. Mauve smiled sheepishly up at him before Lyrie kissed his lips. Lyrie was so gentle and kind… of course Lyrie wouldn't consider something like that.

Lyrie was his master, and Mauve wouldn't forget that, and knew Lyrie could exercise his rights as needed, but being dominant over someone else didn't come naturally to him. He wasn't the kind of person who would preemptively tie his drone up to prevent any misbehavior.

He was very pleased to hear that, despite his tone on the phone when talking to him, Lyrie didn't intend to be overly familiar with his former lover, and was still angry with him. He couldn't help but smile at the suggestion that he'd be making sure that Jackil wouldn't be mean, even though the suggestion meant that Jakil might be mean to the sweet-scented fairy. It was his turn to lift himself over Lyrie, putting his weight on one arm to he could gently stroke Lyrie's cheek, and let a finger glide over his mouth.

"Of course," He promised.

Lyrie blushed softly and nuzzled the man's hand, lightly kissing his fingers. "Thank you." He leaned up to kiss Mauve on the lips. "Mm... Maybe you should have some more fairy dust?" He suggested. "While you're up you can grab me a snack and some juice." He smiled brightly for a moment before looking away, a slight frown crossing his face. "It's kind of funny to be asking you to do stuff like this after talking to Jakil... There was only a couple times that he actually stayed with me after sex."

Mauve smiled at the small kiss to his hand, before his own lips were given a kiss. Lyrie leaned up to kiss him, and Mauve followed him as he laid back down to kiss him again. Fairy dust… of course! That was a good idea. He wondered if Lyrie's intuition made him suspicious, since Mauve was having rather rebellious thoughts. It was a little scary, since Mauve hadn't been genuinely rebellious in a very long time, and didn't know if he could regulate himself and behave himself. Obviously he wouldn't suddenly imprint from just another taste, but mentally it'd ground him. Remind him who his thoughts should be about.

"That's a good idea, Master." Mauve nodded. He started to get up when he saw a frown cross over Lyrie's face. He was glad Lyrie turned away, because for a split moment, Mauve had to fight his facial muscles to not show his disgust. Lyrie's former lover… the former partner to the gentle and kind-hearted fairy didn't have the decency to stay afterwards to take care of him? He knew that wasn't just a drone thing- it sounded like Jakil had been using him. And now he wanted to stay at his house after so long. How could Lyrie invite that snake into his home after that? He leaned back down and kissed Lyrie's neck.

"That's why you purchased me, right? So I can get you your snacks," He whispered before kissing his collarbone. "I won't be long," He was true to his word. He had a taste of the fairy dust, and got a slice of cake and juice from the kitchen and brought it up to Lyrie's room.

Lyrie snuggled into his pillow as the drone left. "Thank you~" He closed his eyes and relaxed, dozing off as he waited. He awoke at the sound of Mauve opening the door and sat up, smiling sleepily. "Ah, did you have some dust?" He scooted over to give the man space on the bed. "Will you feed me?"

Mauve saw that Lyrie looked a bit more sleepy than when he left him, thinking he might have fallen asleep again in the short absence. He must really be exhausted. He came and eased himself next to him.

"Yes, Master, I had a taste." He told him while he used the fork to slice off the first bite of the cake, and carefully brought it to Lyrie's mouth, holding the plate under in case something falls. He wondered what time Jakil would arrive, despite himself. He didn't ask, as he didn't want to talk about him again. He hoped it wouldn't be until later, perhaps the evening, since Lyrie really needed more rest.

Lyrie ate happily, leaning into the drone's body. "Thank you Mauve." He hummed. Once he finished the cake he snuggled down under the covers. "I'm going to get some sleep... Jakil will be coming tomorrow afternoon." He yawned softly and a few minutes later had fallen asleep.

The next day Lyrie woke up excited. He got dressed in a casual but cute outfit, trying to look like he didn't put any effort into looking cute. The fairy was antsy all day, quietly wondering if his ex really would show up. Finally there was a firm knock on the door. Lyrie flew down the stairs and to the front door. He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath, fixing his hair as he tried to appear collected. Then the fairy opened the door.

On the other side of the door was a tall, purple-haired pixie. His wings were much smaller than the fairy's, but seemed to be made of the same material. His lips curled back in a grin to revel rows of sharp teeth. "Hey Lyrie~ Long time no see."

For a moment Lyrie stood in silence, his cheeks flushed softly. Finally he snapped out of his trance and scowled up at the other male. "What's that supposed to mean? You just disappeared on me!"

"Aw, come on cutie~" Jakil stepped in, threading his arm around Lyrie's waist. "I tried to get in contact with you, I swear. Things just got kinda crazy for me." He leaned in and lightly brushed light lips against the boy's neck. "I'll make it up to you..."

"You're welcome, Master," Mauve said, lightly cradling the fairy against him, continuing to feed him small bites of cake. He waited until had gone to sleep under the covers of his bed to take the dishes back to the kitchen and washed them. He wondered if it was wrong to leave him at all, though, since he seemed to like having Mauve at his side, perhaps even while he slept. The dishes could have waited. He then remembered the first rule Lyrie had made explicit- no wandering around. He hadn't gone anywhere without his permission yet, but he hadn't thought about it. Lyrie was sweet, and wouldn't care, Mauve knew. But he cared… he wanted to do right by his new master…

Mauve returned upstairs quickly and quietly. He was pretty worn out himself, and was ready to fall asleep besides Lyrie, something that still felt unusual to do. His former master really wouldn't be pleased at all if Mauve tried to slip into bed with him while he was sleeping. He was a very strict and rather formal master, and naturally dominant, almost the complete opposite of Lyrie.

The next morning, Mauve was woken up by Lyrie. This time, when he woke up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room, he expected it to be a different unfamiliar bed and room, and to have a leash connected to his collar. But he had woken up in Lyrie's bed, in Lyrie's room. He was incredibly giddy, and excited for a particular someone who was coming to visit. It made Mauve pretty uncomfortable, but he did his best to mask it. Lyrie was too excited and nervous to be particularly suspicious, it seemed. His thoughts were fixated on Jakil.

Soon there was an expected knock on the door, and Lyrie's mood rose as much as Mauve's sank. Lyrie flew towards the door, stopping casually to fix his long silky hair, before opening the door. By the time Mauve had caught up, being wingless, Jakil already had his arms around Lyrie. You wouldn't think looking at them now that they hadn't seen or spoken in a year. Jakil went as far as to put his mouth against Lyrie's neck.

"Leave Master be," Mauve said sharply. He didn't have much on Jakil, heightwise or appearance wise. Jakil was handsome and suave, while Mauve hadn't put as much care into his own appearance as Lyrie did, so his hair and clothes were disheveled still from being slept in. He wondered if his appearance would surprise Jakil. Lyrie hadn't mentioned him on the phone, after all. He still wore the collar Lyrie put on him, and openly referred to him as 'Master', so it would be simple enough to understand what his role was, of course.

He realized only after speaking that he spoke out of turn. Mauve thought it was really disrespectful, but Lyrie didn't seem displeased by it, and it was his guest… Lyrie told him to prevent him from being mean, but this probably didn't meet the fairy's definition of mean. But instead of immediately trying to apologize like he would normally after doing something offensive, he kept his ground, staring Jakil in the face.

Jakil frowned slightly and straightened up. "What the..? Who're you?" He made no effort to hide his annoyance at being interrupted. His gaze moved to the drone's collar, which only brought on a look of confusion. "What the hell?"

"Ah," Lyrie's cheeks flushed softly as he pulled away from the pixie and snuggled up to Mauve's side. "Jakil, this is Mauve, he's a drone that I bought a week or so ago. And Mauve, this is Jakil, like I said he'll be staying with us for awhile."

Jakil immediately burst out laughing. "You bought a drone? You?" He fluttered over, staring into the drone's eyes. "And here I thought I had some competition." He turned his attention back to Lyrie, landing and placing his hands on the fairy's hips. "You must've been pretty lonely to buy this guy huh?"

Mauve couldn't help but be a little pleased at Jakil's troubled reaction, he was making a bit of a show by how bothered he was by a few simple words. He saw his eyes fall to the collar at his neck, which he had recently learned was one of Lyrie's nicest, so he was quite proud for him to notice, especially when it seemed to frustrate him further.

Lyrie wasn't particularly bothered, it seemed, by Mauve's ill-timed outburst. It wouldn't have been ideal to be scolded or reprimanded the minute he spoke to Jakil. And better yet, Lyrie came and nestled into his side once he introduced him.

Jakil had only confirmed that Mauve was right to trust his instinct and dislike Jakil from the start. Mauve frowned when Jakil laughed, keeping his eyes steady with his. This was a first, to look his master's friend in the eye when meeting them for the first time. Of course with Lyrie, many things he did were out of habit with a formal master, since Lyrie had very few rules for him. Despite himself, Mauve slightly twisted, pulling Lyrie away from the pixie's hands a little, as much as he could without pivoting a ridiculous amount. He didn't appreciate how he spoke as if purchasing him was indicative of a character weakness or something.

"Aw, did you order him to act all jealous?"Jakil teased. "Come on Lyrie, I know these things are basically just fancy blow-up dolls. He can't think for himself." The pixie grabbed Lyrie's waist, roughly jerking him away from Mauve's grip. "You'd much rather have someone who'll dominate you. Not someone you have to order around." He slipped his hand into the back of Lyrie's pants and grabbed the fairy's tiny tail, tugging it roughly.

Lyrie let out a yelp of pain before melting into the man's chest. "J-Jakil..." He whimpered, his cheeks flushed. "I'm still mad at you."

Mauve grimaced when Jakil pulled Lyrie away from him. The hairs on the back of his neck bristled. It was infuriating to not only be flippantly disregarded and mocked like this, but that he actually cared about it now. He's had worse said about him before, and he frowned for a moment and moved on. But now? He couldn't stand that Jakil was essentially calling him mindless.

His whole body tensed when the pixie tugged on Lyrie's small tail underneath his pants, causing him to cry out. Without a moment's hesitation, Mauve's hand whipped down to Jakil's wrist, his finger and thumb squeezing where his ulna and radius joined at the wrist, and pulled his hand out of Lyrie's pants.

"Master would rather have someone who won't disappear without a word for years," He spat. Even if Lyrie liked that sort of treatment, he was still mad at him. And it still met a definition of mean, so he felt more than justified stepping in.

Jakil yelped in pain as his arm was grabbed. "What the fuck?!" He glared at the man and reached out to grab Lyrie again. "You must be some kinda defective product, what kinda drone acts like such a little bitch?"

"Stop it!" Lyrie stepped back from Jakil, his eyes sparkling with tears. "He's right! I don't want to be with someone who d-disappears without a word!" He wiped his eyes with his sleeve, trying not to lose his composure completely. "Do you have any idea how much it hurt when I realized you weren't coming back? I-I kept trying to convince myself that you were just gone for a couple days, but you never came back!" A soft sob shook his delicate body. "I don't want to experience that ever again... Mauve makes me feel h-happy and safe, and l-loved. Even if it's just because he doesn't have any other choice."

"If you... If you actually l-loved me you would put some kind of effort into proving it." Lyrie whimpered, staring at the ground. "Not just show up and try to f-fuck me..."

Mauve winced at his words. He was right. He was, by some lenient definition, a defective product. He was a drone with a fading imprint. And here he was physically confronting an invited guest of his master, acting hostile. Like this, he didn't know if he could really meet the conditions to be the sort of dom Lyrie craved. He was worried that Lyrie wouldn't need him at all if he found someone who could, did it naturally, without being told. He could be a complete failure as a slave, no matter who gave him the chance to be owned…

Lyrie jumped away when Jakil reached for him again, heavy pools of tears brimmed in his eyes. Stabbing, painful guilt shook Mauve's heart, scared that his outburst had caused Lyrie to be so upset. But instead, he only had biting words for Jakil.

Mauve didn't want him to be so upset, but it also made him happy to hear Lyrie say such things, that he had been enough to make him feel happy, safe, and loved. That he actually was preferable over the handsome, dominant former lover. Mauve gently stepped forward and put an arm around his shoulders, and takes Lyrie's hand in his other one.

"I think it would be best for you to go back outside and wait, Mister Jakil," Mauve said firmly. "I will let you know when Master is ready to have you back in the house,"

"You're kicking me out?" Jakil glared at the drone. "Lyrie said I could stay with him! I'm relying on him!" He stepped forward. "Lyrie, baby, we can work this out." His voice grew soft, and he held his arms out for the fairy. "I love you, and I know I did things wrong. I just got so used to you forgiving me that I started to take it for granted, but I'll make it up to you."

Lyrie stared at the man for a moment before shaking his head. "I... I just need a few minutes to calm down. I-I'll call you when I'm ready for you to come back..." He sniffled softly. "Please..."

"Fine." Jakil glared at Mauve before leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss to Lyrie's lips. "I love you babe, take your time okay?" With that he turned and left.

Mauve felt a little funny, hearing Jakil say that it was him kicking him out. It seemed so out of place, so forceful. But it was Mauve who was telling him to leave and let Master have time away from him. Lyrie had yet to say anything, though, so he wasn't opposed. Mauve didn't feel Lyrie's will in the back of his mind yet, so it wasn't that. Maybe, like Jakil implied, Lyrie wanted someone he didn't have to tell what to do all the time. Maybe… he was supposed to do things like this for Lyrie.

Jakil's voice turned softer and quiet, as he turned his attention from Mauve to the fairy he held, any anger he had was no longer apparent, the way he looked so gentle at Lyrie. Jakil put his arms out, indicating for Lyrie to come to him. Mauve loosened his arm and hand on Lyrie in case he did want Jakil to hold him.

With Jakil here, as Lyrie's guest, or otherwise, Mauve would be expected to serve him, too, of course. Wouldn't it be better to try to get on better footing with him after such a hostile first impression? If Jakil really could prove himself to be a good lover for Lyrie, he could be here for a very long time. Having his master's lover hating him wouldn't be very good.

It would probably make Lyrie happy for Jakil to make it up to him, to prove he'd be a good boyfriend again. It's not like Lyrie would get rid of his slave because he got his boyfriend back, he wasn't that kind of person, even if Mauve was an impulse purchase. He felt like Lyrie had grown fond of him, he spoke as if he had. So Mauve didn't exactly feel too insecure about his place at his master's side. So then… why did the idea of Jakil becoming his lover again make him feel so miserable?

Lyrie accepted a kiss from Jakil after he affirmed his short-lived banishment. He seemed to accept that Lyrie wanted him gone, but still looked at the drone with disdain for being the one who suggested it. Fair enough. Jakil finally left the mansion, and Mauve gently turned Lyrie to face him.

"You don't have to let him back in," Mauve suggested before he could hold his tongue back. "If you don't want to…"

Lyrie looked up at the drone for a moment before bursting into tears. He shook his head desperately and clung to the man's shirt. "I-I..." His sobs took over, drowning out his attempts to speak. He felt like all the pain the pixie had caused him was bubbling up now. It had never hit him how badly Jakil had treated him, and in a way the fairy blamed himself. If he had really not liked it then why hadn't he stood up for himself? Was it all his fault for not saying no? He couldn't blame Jakil if the man didn't know that he was hurting Lyrie.

Any satisfaction Mauve may have had vanished when Lyrie suddenly broke into sobs, and clung to him desperately, like he was drowning. Mauve wrapped his arms around him tightly when he started crying so hard he couldn't speak. He wondered what made him so upset all of a sudden. Mauve thought he might be angry that he had sent Jakil away, when he was so happy to see him, or at the suggestion that he not be allowed in at all. But Lyrie was clinging to him now, so he wasn't quite sure that was the case.

Mauve gently scooped the fairy up in his arms and carried him into the living room. There was still a blanket draped over the back, so once Mauve had sat down with Lyrie in his lap, he took the blanket and wrapped it around Lyrie's shaking shoulders. He reached his own arms under the blanket to cradle his master directly.

"Master… was I out of line?" He asked timidly, afraid that Lyrie might become more distraught. Maybe he was embarrassed and angry with himself for letting Mauve become so undisciplined by being so lenient up to this point.

Lyrie sobbed softly and shook his head, finally looking up at the drone. "I-I just... I always thought that J-Jakil was really amazing, b-because he's s-so much better than m-my other e-exes." His eyes filled with more tears. "B-but he's not that nice... Is he?"

He hiccuped, his delicate wings seemed to become dull. "He's just m-mean. Y-you're the nicest p-person I've ever been with." His face crumpled as a new wave of sobs washed over him. "A-and you're only nice b-because I b-bought you. I-I just thought of it as n-normal for a guy not to care if I wasn't in the mood, or if I d-didn't like something, o-or if he went too far. B-but with you I don't have to a-accept that a-and now I'm spoiled b-because I don't wanna go back to someone w-who's like that."

With a light sigh, Mauve shrugged. He really didn't know Jakil, nor Lyrie's relationship with him, not really. He knew surface details; they were lovers a while back, Lyrie was excited to see him, Jakil was happy to see him, but was very aggressive with him. Mauve did not think Jakil was a kind person, and he didn't want Lyrie to get back together with him. A part of him wouldn't want that even if Jakil was nicer. Mauve figured Lyrie just needed to be heard right now, he was processing a hurt from very deep and forgotten inside himself. So he kept silent.

"That's a good way to be spoiled, I think, Master," He told him, stroking his lower back, under his wings, while he cried. "You shouldn't have to go back to someone who is that mean to you, you shouldn't feel like you have to. And you don't have to let Jakil stay here, either." He reminded him.

"And Master… I'm not kind to you because you bought me." He whispered. "I call you 'Master' because you bought me. I do as you tell me because you bought me. I want to imprint on you because you bought me. But, to be frank, I don't know whether or not you'd actually punish me if I did displease you, so I'm not nice to you because I fear the alternative." He assured the fairy. "I'm nice to you because I like you. You're gentle and kind and thoughtful. I want to be nice to you because I think you deserve that,"

Lyrie's lower lip trembled as he stared up at the man. "Y-you really think it's okay for m-me to spoiled?" His eyes grew wider at the drone's confession. "You... You like me..? Not just b-because I'm your 'master'?" The fairy moved to straddle the drone, pressing into his body.

"Why're you so sweet..?." He mumbled, his wings fluttering lightly. He nuzzled into the drone's neck. "If you weren't like this then I would be happy with so much less..."

Mauve almost shuddered at Lyrie's expression when he looked up. He was so cute, and now he looked smaller and more fragile than usual. His lower lip trembled as the words formed on his tongue. He didn't really realize it when he said it, but he hadn't even considered the significance of what he was saying. He was so used to just saying what was on his mind, when prompted to, that he didn't even think of hiding this.

"Yes. Yes, of course," Mauve told him, still looking at him, but very aware of how he had positioned himself to straddle him. His hands slowly migrated towards Lyrie's ass, each hand positioning against each cheek, and he gripped him firmly, not quite enough to hurt, but kept himself there, until he Lyrie gave some kind of signal to continue.

"You shouldn't have to settle for being happy with less." Mauve said. "I'm glad to be spoiling you if that what it takes for you to be treated with the kindness and respect you deserve, Master."

Lyrie hesitated for a moment, staring up at the drone. Finally he pushed his ass back into Mauve's hands, his cheeks flushing softly. "Then... If you like me... Make me forget about everyone else."

He draped his arms around the man, tears still hanging from his long lashes. "Even if I'm your master, make me yours. So I forget about going back to the people who'll be mean to me. Otherwise I might get so lonely that I go outside and let Jakil take me instead."
