"When you stepped on this plant... I could feel it like you were crushing my entire body... And this is a young plant, so it might not being able to heal from this" Lyrie began to carefully take care of the crushed flower. "Even now I can feel it struggling to live, that horrible desperation... It's just a plant so it can't understand what happened to it, all it can tell is that something is wrong and that it's dying... And I can feel all of that as if I'm the one who's dying."

He wiped his eyes on the back of his hand. "Why'd you run out of the shed like that? You still haven't tol dme"

Mauve could feel himself start to panic, or at least he thought that's what it might be. He hadn't panicked in ages. But he felt hopeless, unsure of what to do, how to act, something that was also rare. He didn't know what to do. He should feel the urge to tell him the truth, since that's what he wanted from him, it seemed like. But for Mauve, he was concerned with his own well-being after the fact. Why would a flower fairy want to keep him after hearing his reason?

But how could he not tell him? His master was all but commanding that he tell him what it was he wanted.

"Master… I'm sorry. I-I… I'm struggling w-with my imprinting fading…" He told him at last. "I-I didn't want to hurt you, I'm sorry… I-I just wasn't prepared for… for… having a preference…I-I promise, I won't do it again… Master, please… please forgive me…" Steady tears streamed down his face now.

Lyrie stared at him for a moment. The imprinting was fading..? Already..? He looked away, lightly chewing his lip. It sounded like imprinting would make Mauve completely devoted to him. So he would never betray him... Right? If he knew Mauve wouldn't use his desire against him then maybe it would be okay for him to be dominated.

"If you imprint on me will all those problems go away..?" He looked away, still a bit unsure of his decision. It would probably be more dangerous not to have the drone imprint.

The imprint had been fading for a while, but this was the first real time he had started to feel the affects of it. It had been just a fading of what his former master wanted. He hadn't noticed himself having preferences. His head hung, and he wiped one of his eyes, fearing that his new master really would toss him. But his head lifted up fast when the fairy spoke.

"U-uh, yes, I-I think so…" Mauve answered quickly, nodding enthusiastically. He actually didn't know much about how imprinting worked. It was a fairly slow process, at first he was just addicted to his master's presence, and over the course of a few days the imprinting took hold of him. But now, it was fading because his master didn't want him. He thought the current imprint would have to disappear entirely before he could imprint on a new master, but that may not be the case. He wondered how he could even imprint on a fairy… this might require research…

But that didn't bother him much. If his master was going to accept him, it didn't matter how difficult it would be!

"So what am I supposed to do? Is there some kind of weird ritual I have to do?" Lyrie picked up the flowerpot in his arms and looked at Mauve. "Let's go back in the house, I want to keep this one inside for awhile. Explain everything on the way there" He began to walk, making sure not to go too fast so that Mauve could keep up with him.

Mauve wasn't certain how it worked. But he could explain it to the best of his abilities. He bit his lip a little, thinking about how he might explain it. He looked at the plant, now resting in a pot. Mauve wondered, if his master could tell how flowers felt, if he knew if they had a preference to be indoors or outdoors.

"Yes, Master," The drone followed him back to the house, and despite his slower pace, he kept his distance still. "I… I only know how imprinting works for vampires, when someone is first turned into a drone. In my case I was ambushed, and my former master injected a venom into me, which did a couple of things to me. It stopped me aging, it enhanced my senses and strengths, it gave me a craving for blood, and it made me addicted to his presence. It was like… something bad would happen if I wasn't near him. When he left me at home sometimes, I'd need to hold an old shirt of his for the smell to calm down. But when he came back… ah, it was just bliss. And within a few days, the imprinting was strong enough that I could feel his will as if it was my own." He explained. "I'm not sure what to do to substitute the venom, though. But since I'm already a drone, it should still be possible… don't you think, Master?"

Lyrie listened to him carefully. "I might have something that could work..." He said thoughtfully. "I could make some fairy dust for you, it's sort of like my essence... So maybe that could be a substitute?" He set the plant down on a coffee table next to a window and turned to Mauve. "Or maybe just drinking enough of my blood would work?"

"Fairy dust… maybe, yeah…" The drone replied hopefully. "I've never heard of what to do for a drone to imprint on a fairy but it's worth a shot! If fairy dust really is like your essence, it might have the same affect on me!" He was sounding quite giddy at the prospect. maybe he could even overwrite his current imprint, so he'd never have to deal with the pain of being abandoned, or having to cope with developing an independent identity. He's just safely transition into his new master's perfect drone.

"I think it would take more than your blood, Master. It's incredibly delicious, but it's not the same addictive substance that vampires have." He left out the part about drinking other people's blood. He'd never imprinted on anyone else through drinking their blood, so he presumed it wasn't possible this way.

"Ah, I almost forgot to give you some blood" Lyrie sat down on the couch. "I won't punish you for hurting the plant... At least not this time because of the circumstances..."

He held out his arm. A rose vine grew out of his fingertips and wrapped around his wrist. The thorns dug into his skin until they drew blood and then disappeared. "There... Go ahead"

Mauve's eyes lit up. He was so glad the fairy remembered!

"Thank you so much, Master, you're very generous," He told him, relieved he wouldn't be punished, and on top of that receive some of his blood! Mauve stepped closer, watching as the thorns brought blooming spots of his orange blood to the surface of his skin. He wasted little time before putting his mouth on his wrist, and lightly began sucking. Oh, it was so sweet, so rich...

Lyrie whimpered softly as the blood was sucked from his wrist. It felt somehow... Erotic... His cheeks flushed at the thought and he looked away, waiting for the drone to finish. "When you're done I'll make some dust... If it doesn't work then I'm sure I can get in touch with a vampire who might know what to do"

Mauve quickly finished sucking the fairy's blood, lapping over the punctures slowly to make sure they had nothing left to offer, before pulling away.

"Alright, Master. That sounds good. A vampire's help would be really useful for this, I bet!" He told him, eager to start attempting to jumpstart his imprinting on a fairy.

Lyrie pulled his arm away, the wounds already starting to heal. "Okay... It takes a lot of energy to make my dust. The garden doesn't need to be watered until this evening, and I should be better by then." He stood up and stretched his wings. "Do you think you can handle taking care of me for a few hours?"

Mauve watched as the fairy stretched his wings, letting them glimmer in the sunlight filtering in. He nodded.

"Yes, leave it to me, I'll take care of you, whatever you need." He agreed readily. He had also never seen fairy dust, and was pretty intrigued by it. He wasn't entirely sure of the process, either, so all of this was very new to him.

"Okay, follow me then..." Lyrie started to walk upstairs to his bedroom. He opened up the door and stepped inside. His bedroom was very cute, all pink and frilly with flowery wallpaper and bed sheets. The fairy sat down on his bed and patted the space next to him. "Here... Sit down, it won't take very long"

Mauve nodded, and followed the fairy upstairs, and into his bedroom. It really wasn't what the drone was expecting. He expected something a bit more refined, simple. With earth tones and subtle patterns. Instead, he was surrounded by pink and frills and ruffles and feminine, soft decorum. Everything screamed 'cute'.

"Yes, sir," Mauve said, and sat down next to him slowly. The only time he was allowed on his former master's bed was when he was being used, and his master tended to prefer doing that in other places. But there were two occasions where he was even permitted to sleep in the bed with him… that was nice.

Lyrie took a deep breath and closed his eyes. His wings stretched outwards. After a moment of concentration his wings began to glow gold. Tiny golden flowers that seemed to be make of pure light bloomed on his wings.

Soon both wings were entirely covered in the flowers, Lyrie lightly fluttered them and the flowers shattered into a fine dust. The dust lightly floated down onto the bed sheets, forming a few small piles of beautiful glowing dust.

Lyrie shuddered and collapsed against Mauve, softly gasping for breath. His entire body was shaking and covered in a cold sweat from the effort. "T-there... I guess you should e-eat it or something..? I don't know..."

Mauve watched, his eyes widening as the fairy's wings started to glow. He'd never seen something like this. The light coming from his wings were gold, it was radiant and delicate at the same time. An aura of small flowers of light formed around him. It was almost a shame, since they looked so beautiful, that they had to be turned into the dust. Faintly glowing piles formed around the flower fairy. Mauve held onto his master when he seemed to collapse from the effort.

"Master!" He gasped. "I'm so sorry, I had no idea it would be so strenuous," Mauve apologized. "Thank you so very much, I suppose I should try eating it first, huh?"

He half-expected it to taste like sugar as he wetted a finger, still holding onto the fairy, and put his finger onto one pile, then brought a cluster of grains to his tongue. He was right, it was very sweet, but also fruity. Like a powder candy.

Lyrie slowly closed his eyes, he was exhausted and his whole body was sore like he had just done a workout. All he wanted right now was to have some hot chocolate and be cuddled by someone.

"Is it doing anything...?" He'd be really upset if he had gone to all that trouble of making dust and it didn't work. "I don't even know if it'd take time or anything..."

"Ah, yes… Master, I presume it will take some time. It did with my first master." Mauve told him gently. "But of course, you've made plenty here! We can save it and I'll take some each day, so you shouldn't have to do this again." The drone assured his master. "Thank you so much for going through all that trouble just for me… I promise, it'll be worth it. I'll be a wonderful slave once I imprint."

"Can you get a ziplock bag from the kitchen..? I don't want it all to get on the floor or something..." Lyrie moved away and slowly lay down on the bed. "Also some juice and hard candies... I don't wanna do anything else..." He sniffled softly, trying to hold back tears. It all hurt so much... Why would did it have to hurt this much? When he didn't even know if it would work. He felt so stupid for not asking someone first.

"Y-yes, of course! Right away, Master. I'll be right back," He whispered gently, moving himself slowly to make sure the fairy wouldn't collapse without him holding him. The drone left his side and ran back towards the kitchen, and scrounged a bit before he was finally able to find everything the fairy told him to get. He brought two juice boxes and a large handful of candy and a ziplock bag when he returned.

"I've brought you your juice and candy," He announced softly as he came to the side of the bed.

Lyrie had snuggled under the covers by that point, he peeked out when he heard the drone's voice. His eyes were red from crying because of the pain. "Put the dust in bag..." He mumbled, it was humiliating that making dust was having such an effect on him. It had been a long time since he had made dust, so his body wasn't used to it. The fairy retreated back under the blanket and began to suck on a piece of candy and sip his juice.

Once Mauve had finished gathering the dust Ellier spoke up again. "Put that somewhere safe and come here" He lifted up the comforter for Mauve to climb in with him.

Mauve thought he was almost cute, that bright orange face, peeking out from the blankets. Of course, not only was 'cute' not a very appropriate thing to think about one's master, but his eyes were also red and runny. Mauve immediately went towards the dust at the foot of the bed, barely disturbed from what he could tell. He collected it all the best he could by turning the bag inside out over his hand and picking it up that way. He held it softy in his palm as he turned the bag back around, over the dust. It really seemed like a lot, seeing all the dust collected like this. He wetted his finger and picked up a few strangling grains, licking them again. Even such a small amount was sweet.

The drone was obviously surprised to be invited into bed, staring at the crying fairy, dust in hand, for a good moment before moving to place the dust on the dresser, and quickly came to his master's side, looking at him once again hesitantly, before crawling in with him under the comforter.

Lyrie immediately snuggled up to the man, pressing his face into his chest. He took a shaky breath to hold back more tears. "It hurts so much..." He whimpered. "This better work..." He hiccuped softly, clinging to the drone's back. After a moment he stretch his wings out. "M-Massage my wings, they really hurt... But be gentle" His wings were extremely soft, as if they were covered by tiny feathers. But they were also very delicate, like a thin fabric.
