"I think I made enough to last him for at least a week." Lyrie frowned slightly. "I hope I don't have to make a lot more, I've never been good at that stuff... Oh, I almost forgot, what should I feed him? I was just giving him some of my snacks but I don't know if he needs other things to eat." The fairy had never quite been able to wrap his head around the fact that different human foods had different nutritional values.

"That's a fair amount to start, I think." Myrina nodded thoughtful. "If it proves to be worth it, you might need to find an easier way to create it, or find an alternative. There might be something I can find through research. I can't imagine if a fairy ever had a drone imprint on them that they created dust weekly."

Her hand lightly drifted from Ursula's hair to her shoulder. She looked at Lyrie, her eyes and mouth opening wide.

"Have you really only fed him sugar?" She asked, before cracking a small laugh. "He'll need a more human diet, if you want him to survive. I could help you with a grocery list, if you'd like. Oh, me and Mauve could go into your kitchen and come up with something, and you can talk to Ursula. She wasn't originally my drone, so she has experience with rediscovery and re-printing." Myrina suggested. Ursula's face lit up and she nodded eagerly.

"But all the things I have are human food, humans eat those things!" Lyrie protested. "How could it be more human?" He leaned back against the drone, his lower lip poking out in a pout. "Doesn't make sense..."

"Okay..." He reluctantly climbed off Mauve's lap. "Can you get me a blanket? It's cold without him." He pointed to a chest of drawers. "There should be a few in the bottom drawer." His gaze moved up to Mauve's face, waiting expectantly.

Myrina laughed again.

"Not all human food is going to have the nutrients he needs." She explained. "Desserts are something humans might have once a day, not for every meal." She only hoped he had least had cake with strawberries on top, or cookies with nuts in them, or something at least a little substantial.

"Yes, of course," Mauve said, getting up and going towards the chest, pulling a drawer forward, and taking the blanket on top. The drawer was heavy, he wondered how many blankets he kept here. Did he get cold a lot? He took it back to his master, draping it over his shoulders.

"Oh... Okay, then I guess you'll have to make a grocery list..." Lyrie leaned up and lightly kissed the drone as he was wrapped in a blanket. "Thank you." He murmured before snuggling back into the couch, waiting for Mauve and Myrina to go to the kitchen.

He didn't really know how to talk to Ursula. He had never really had a conversation with the drone and was starting realize how rude that must have been.

Myrina stood, and almost synchronized, as she got up and walked towards Mauve, Ursula stood and took her seat on the couch. Mauve grinned when he was rewarded with the peck. Myrina led Mauve into the kitchen. Effortlessly she found a notepad and a pen, and started writing a few basics before asking Mauve to interject.

"You probably don't remember," Ursula started. "But I wasn't originally my Mistress's drone." She told Lyrie. She was 'adopted' by Myrina, who seemed to have a soft spot for unimprinted drones. That's how she knew so much, and so many, despite it being fairly uncommon. Mauve was the second abandoned drone Myrina had known. Ursula was the first. She had seen Lyrie for the first time during a transitional period from her rediscovery to her imprinting. Those memories weren't normal, they were hyper-focused, and when she remembered them, she remembered them in real time. She had only seen Lyrie in passing then, Myrina was limiting her actual contact with people during that time.

"Re-imprinting is so much easier when your drone wants to do it." Ursula told him. "But it's just as important that you want it, as well. You bought him on a whim, do you really feel ready to imprint on a drone?" Her voice seemed almost accusingly, but her large eyes glistened, almost near tears. She spoke with the same conviction Myrina might, which strongly contrasted to her meek stature and saucer-plate eyes.

Lyrie looked away, feeling somewhat ashamed as he thought about the question. "I... I don't know, I've never done this before so I don't know what it means to be ready." He played with the edge of the blanket. "I really like Mauve, I just met him yesterday but I already feel really attached. I don't like thinking about him belonging to anyone else, or even looking at anyone else." His cheeks flushed deeply.

"This is gonna sound really dumb, but when I first saw him I felt drawn to him somehow. I've never even considered buying someone from the auction house, even if I think they're really hot. But with Mauve it did't feel like it would even be possible not to buy him."

Ursula stared at Lyrie almost motionless as he spoke, only blinking. So he was going in without almost any basic information, but he seemed devoted enough, maybe he would be able to go through with this. He might be the first fairy to have a drone imprint on him, as far as she knew. Really wanting Mauve as badly as he did seemed to be the most important part.

"It's already happening. I mean, Mauve's rediscovery. I can tell." Ursula told him. "I think he either has a strong sense of self control, or really wants to imprint on you. Maybe it's desperation, or maybe he feels as strongly."

Ursula gave him a faint smile and shrugged.

"Try to remember how you feel now if things become tough."

Lyrie nodded slowly. "I... I really want him to stay with me. So I'll try my best." He looked up at Ursula. "I don't know if you've ever heard of this. But some people say that us fairies have so much magic in us that we're naturally drawn to our perfect mate. I-I don't know if it's even true, but..." He looked away again, his cheeks flushing. "I think if it's true then it w-would probably feel something like what I felt when I saw Mauve..."

Ursula nodded.

"I have heard that about fairies, too." She told him. But, while she thought it'd be crass to voice this, she wondered how that attraction would work with a drone. Drones weren't 'people' the way others were. They change and shift a lot more than typical personal growth, and could dramatically change to a different kind of person in a short time. Was it just his physicality that made Mauve a perfect mate? Or was it who he was adrift in rediscovery? Could that change if he imprinted on him? Ursula tended to be more pessimistic about things, and she didn't see the need to bring him down with hypotheticals. He seemed happy and in love, she wouldn't risk hurting him.

"Alright, we have a list," Myrina said, holding it triumphantly in one hand as she led Mauve out with her. "I'll leave this here, you should probably use a service that will deliver these for you," She suggested, since she knew Lyrie had not been feeling well and sending Mauve out on his own right now was probably not the best idea. "Or Ursula and I could go," She looked up for a moment, realizing they may still have things to talk about.

"Oh, excuse me, do you two still need to talk?"

"Oh, I think we're pretty much done..." Lyrie looked at Ursula for confirmation. "And it would be great if you could get the stuff, since you'll know what's the best option..." He let his blanket fall down and held his arms out for Mauve to come over. "Did you put some foods you like on the list?"

"We're done," Ursula said with a smile.

"Yes, that will be no problem at all!" Myrina told him. "Come here, Ursula," she lightly gestured, though Ursula was already on her feet. And Mauve was at Lyrie's side, putting himself into his extended arm and wrapped his own arm behind his back. And the other went under Lyrie's leg and lifted him up, and sat down with him on his lap.

"We'll be back soon," Myrina assured them, taking her drone is suit.

"Okay, I'll see you soon." Lyrie snuggled into Mauve's chest. He waited for the other two to leave before looking up at Mauve. "Did you two talk about anything interesting?" He asked. After a moment he sat up and straddled the drone. "I really want you to imprint on me, do you think you can do it?"

"Uh, not really." Mauve told him. "It was mainly about food, and if I was sensitive to taste. Even food preferences can change in a rediscovery. It makes sense but... It's weird, you know? Like I won't revert to who I was, I'll be someone different."

Mauve looked at Lyrie, a bit surprised at the question.

"I don't know. I want to. And if I can't, maybe I can become someone like who is be if I imprinted, anyway. If I try hard enough."

Lyrie nuzzled the drone's face. "I want you to stay with me... Even if you don't imprint, okay?" He closed his eyes, his wings fluttering softly. It felt so comfortable to sit together like this, Lyrie couldn't imagine having Mauve taken away now. It had only been a sort time but he already felt like they had been together for so long.

"Yes, Master," Mauve said, closing his eyes when Lyrie rubbed his face to his. "I want to stay with you, too," he promised. His faced flushed, and his heart was beating hard.

"Are you still hurting?" He asked softly, trying to focus on the outside of his body, his sudden funny feeling.

"Mm... I'm still a little sore, but I'm feeling better." Lyrie nuzzled a little closer. "You know, I hope you don't change too much when you imprint. I want you to keep being nice and gentle..." He opened his eyes again and looked into the drone's eyes. "I'm not helpless, but I like to feel safe..."

"That's good to hear," Mauve told him. He hated that creating the dust had drawn so much of his strength and hurt him so much. He hoped it would be worthwhile. "Then I'll keep you safe," Mauve vowed. "I want to stay like this, too…"

Lyrie rested his forehead against Mauve's shoulder. "After you get your food I want to tell you something..." He said softly. "It's a secret though... So you can't tell anyone else." It wasn't actually much of a secret, almost everyone knew that he was a submissive. But Lyrie didn't actually realize how obvious it was to anyone who got to know him very well.

Mauve nodded, and stroked Lyrie's back.

"Any secret you tell me I'll carry to my grave," he promised him. And he meant it. Especially once he imprinted, he would never be able to tell, even if Lyrie gave him away. Drones would honor any secret to their deaths. "But you can't tell me now? While we're alone?"

Lyrie's cheeks flushed softly and he looked away. "I-I guess I can... I'm just a little worried about what you might think of me once I tell you..." He fidgeted with the edge of his of his shirt. "T-the thing is, I'm actually a s-submissive..." He said in barely a whisper. "I just pretended to be a dom because it seemed weird to buy you if I wasn't..."

Mauve stroked his back lightly as he watched Lyrie toy with the hem of the shirt he wore. His heart melted at the revelation. He could have guessed, Lyrie didn't carry himself with the air of a dom, and while Lyrie had him doing things for him, he had felt like he was in charge of taking care of him, rather than just obeying, even though he was essentially just following his orders.

"You wouldn't have to worry about me thinking it was weird… but I'm glad you told me now, or I'd be trying be your submissive until I imprinted." He told him, smiling, still rubbing his back. "It doesn't matter to me, I'll be whatever you want me to be,"

"Really..?" Lyrie straddled the drone's lap and leaned into his chest. "I felt so dumb for buying you... But now I just want you to take care of me forever." He closed his eyes and let out a soft breath. "After Myrina leaves today..." He trailed off, his cheeks flushing a deep shade of red.

"Then that's what I'll do," Mauve promised. He repositioned his arms around him when the fairy straddled him. Now, he felt a little embarrassed for riding him earlier, totally thinking he'd enjoy it. Well, he reacted like he did, but still. It made him feel a little empty again, hollow. He presumed it, and acted on it, and it wasn't an echo of Lyrie's desire at all. He came up with it himself. Because he was used to it? Because, like Lyrie, he thought at his property he had to take a certain role? He hoped with Lyrie's head on his chest he didn't feel his heartbeat speed up.

"Yes," Mauve replied, rather than coaxing the rest of the statement, he was agreeing to whatever Lyrie wanted for when they were sure to be alone.

  • 2 weeks later...

Lyrie smiled shyly. "Good..." He looked up at the drone. "You're so perfect..." He leaned up and pressed a kiss to the Mauve's lips, lightly taking the man's hands and leading them to his ass. The fairy wanted to be touched, to be comforted from his exhaustion. He knew they wouldn't have too much time until Myrina returned, but it was better than nothing.
