Name: Jasper Orton

Age: 21

Occupation: Physics student, family restaurant part-timer

Appearance: Chestnut hair, hazel eyes, 6'3" tall, a street basketball player with body and outfits to match, but not nearly buff enough to be intimidating

Personality: Often the ball of sunshine in the room, Jasper always keeps a smile ready for you. He's in a lot of circles and sometimes drops interesting comment about others. He goes out all the time and never invites anyone to come inside his place for personal business.

Short bio: He comes from an ordinary family. A single child who uses different lingo than his parents, who are a little bit slow in following the trends. This is his third year living alone for his studies. Half of the reason why he's retelling stories about others is because he considers himself boring. He's not religious.

"Then, I'll take my leave!" Jasper informed his colleagues and waved. He always changed clothes fast, leaving early so he could catch more time playing basketball in the courtyard near his flat's building. His playing schedule matched perfectly with his part time job: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. He had thought it was the universe telling him to stop playing, but then again, fuck the universe, right?

Jasper sling his simple black sports bag and grabbed his bicycle, his number one trusted companion for travelling around the vicinity. The streets were silent as he took a less frequented route. It was a shortcut that passed through several abandoned reconstructions. Enjoying the chilly wind, he crossed the bridge to the more residential area. There was a muted sound of crowd right beyond that nook, which made Jasper smile with anticipation.

Name: Emilio Carei

Age: 19

Occupation: Medical student

Appearance: Albino, short pure white hair and skin, pale blue eyes. 5'11 and very skinny. Wears mostly black minimalist fashion that makes him look even more pale.

Personality: Emilio is very quiet and isn't particularly close to anyone. Some people consider him their friends but he wouldn't call anyone else his friend. He's good at faking emotions and at lying to people.

Emilio's time completely revolved around his love. He had scheduled his days so that he was free whenever Jasper usually played basketball. Whenever possible he would sit by the basketball court with a book. If Jasper wasn't there then he would read, if Jasper was there then he would pretend to read.

Today was no different. Emilio sat in his usual spot, his gaze on the pages of his book. Every once in awhile he would glance up to check if Jasper was there yet. All the other men just annoyed Emilio,. They would get in the way of him watching his love, and when he subtly took pictures of Jasper those other men could block his shot.

As he waited for Jasper to arrive his mind wandered to all the possibilities for the day. Perhaps Jasper would finally notice how often Emilio came and would come over to talk to him. Or maybe Jasper would get seriously injured and Emilio could show off his medical skills. Or the ball might hit Emilio on accident and Jasper would come over to apologize... One of those would definitely have to happen soon, otherwise Emilio would have to force their relationship forward.

Obviously, none of those things ever happened. Jasper enjoyed playing too much to pay attention to his surroundings, let alone noticing someone he never spoke with. Playing basketball was one of the more enjoyable things in his life, and the laughter he shared with his buddies were among things he cherished. Sometimes they brought beers to enjoy with play, but Jasper stayed clean; he didn't like feeling intoxicated when there were many things he could enjoy fully.

His current opponent came from another city, visiting his sister and got a strong game. Jasper wiped the sweat by his T-shirt, revealing half of his slightly toned body. He grinned while attempting to steal the ball, but the basketball ran to the side, nearby a bench with someone sitting in there.

Jasper didn't recognize that person. He simply walked over and tried to figure out if he knew the lithe emo-looking albino. Their eyes met, and Jasper simply smiled and nodded before running towards his game again. "Let's play again, I won't let the score unsettled!" he said and went his ways.

The game only ended after the sun set, because there wasn't proper light in the area. He waved goodbye to the buddies and walked lazily towards his place, his bicycle rolled on his side.

The basketball game completely entranced Emilio. He found himself staring a few times, but always managed to hide it. There were many times that day that he took pictures of the other man, pretending that he was just texting or reading something. He even managed to get some pictures of Jasper with his shirt pulled up. Just the sight filled Emilio with a deep, primal arousal. He had to set his book on his lap until he could calm down a bit.

When Jasper ran over Emilio felt his heart stop. He had never been this close to his love before, it felt so intimate. His cheeks flushed softly when their eyes met and he managed a shy smile, lightly pushing a strand of hair behind his ear. That was it, he needed Jasper.

Once the game ended he packed up his things and stood up. He had imagined all the different ways he might be able to push their relationship closer. He could try flirting or confessing... But all that had too many risks, what if he was rejected? How would he survive without the hope of spending the rest of his life with Jasper?

Emilio followed a short distance behind Jasper, pretending he was going in the same direction. They reached an uneven part of the sidewalk and Emilio's plan went into action. After a moment of careful calculation he caught his foot on a bump in the pavement. A loud crack filled the air as his bone fractured, shortly followed by a load cry of pain. His body hit the ground hard, forcing a whimper out of his lips.

Jasper didn't pay much attention if anyone was around, but even he couldn't ignore when there was a sharp painful cry behind him. He immediately turned around. Seeing someone lying on the ground, Jasper tossed his bike to the side and he hurried over.

"Oh, it's the em--..." He realized in an instant that they met not too long ago. "Sorry, let me check on it," he said, squatting to check the area that seemed to be the guy's source of pain. Hearing no refusal from the other, Jasper's hand eased up that guy's leg and rolled up the edge of the pants the other was wearing.

"Don't touch it, and don't be too tense," he told that guy, and eased up the skin surrounding the swelling bump. "Looks like it's fractured. Do you feel pain anywhere else?" he asked. "I'm not a med student, but I know first aids, if you'll let me."

Emilio shook his head at the question, his eyes watering from the pain. "I-it's definitely fractured..." He mumbled, cheeks red. It was amazing to finally be so close to Jasper. "I... I am a med student... So I think I'll be okay as soon as I can get home... But I don't know how I'll get there" He lightly rubbed his eyes on his sleeve. "I'm so stupid..."

He managed to sit up a bit, but ended up bending his ankle a bit. Another cry of pain escaped his lips and he fell into Jasper's chest. "A-Ah, I'm s-so sorry" He tried to pull away but ended up just falling back against him. His face was bright red, this was more than he was expecting.

"Oh!" Jasper exclaimed, feeling slightly uncomfortable for not assuming that possibility. "Lucky for you, then," he said, without meaning harm. However, he noticed the watering eyes that the other sported. Fearing he had a hand in that with his careless comment, he scratched his neck.

"Don't apologize, that's got to be painful," he said, assuring the other that it was fine. Just for a good measure, Jasper held the other's shoulders to keep him from falling over. "My name's Jasper. Is your place far? I think I could take you there by bicycle, if you think that's acceptable for your wound," he said, pointing his thumb to the earlier tossed bike.

"I'm Emilio..." He wiped his eyes on his sleeve. "That would be very helpful..." He gave the man a shy smile. "I'm so glad that someone as kind as you is here... I don't know what I would do if I was alone"

"My apartment building is very close by..." Emilio had recently moved just to be closer to Jasper, it was a much more expensive room. But he didn't care, as long as he could be close the his love. "Would you mind helping me up..? I don't think I can stand on this"

"If it's close, then I should just walk you," Jasper said, grabbing Emilio's left arm and wrapping it around his shoulder. His right arm then supported Emilio's weight around his back and waist, and their limbs were touching intricately, closely. "Up we go," he said, not even minding his old bike lying on the ground as he began supporting both of their weights walking to the side of the road. He could get back to that later, and this neighborhood was supposedly safe.

It wasn't that hard to lift Emilio, that guy was smaller than Jasper... Or just small in general. "I think it's in this direction, right? That's my apartment building, which one is yours?" he said, pointing to the white simple building with brick and glass entrance, surrounded by gardens and planted trees. For an apartment, it was more to the expensive ones, but the neighborhood was safe, and he could commute to college by bike. "Hey? I'm not handling this wrong, right? You should probably lean more to me to lessen the burden to your ankle," he said.

"T-thank you so much..." Emilio leaned up against the man. "That's your building? That's where I live too" He spoke as if he was surprised by this, even though it was completely purposeful. "I'm in apartment 409, what about you?" His room as as close to Jasper's as possible, unfortunately nothing on Jasper's floor was open.

Emilio was too scared to try to interact with Jasper when he saw the man in the building. He could only observe from a short distance, longing to be noticed. But now he could finally be alone with his love.

"What a coincidence," Jasper commented brightly. He naturally smiled from that notion. "I'm not a friendly neighbor, so it's nice to put a face to random numbers in the building. My room is 312. Your balcony faces the garden, right? Then we're right across each other if we're in the same floor," he said, mentioning the U shape of the apartment building, with inner garden in the middle.

Jasper didn't know what else to say. As he concentrated on supporting as much as Emilio's weight, he started noticing things. Emilio was really pale. Did he eat right? Also, for a guy, Emilio smelled clean. Kinda... nice, even. Meanwhile Jasper's current predicament was less than ideal for others to be close to him. "I hope you don't mind too much with me reeking sweat," he said. Albeit having his T-shirt drier than when he was playing, he didn't bother to bring a change since his place was nearby.

"I don't mind" Emilio actually enjoyed the smell of the other man's sweat. He leaned a little closer as if for support, but really he just wanted to be closer to the other man.

He was more than aware of where the other man's room was, he had watched him from the balcony so many times. It was his favorite place to sit. "When we get to my apartment, would you like to have some tea..? It's the least I could do to thank you for your help" His gaze dropped to the floor, his cheeks going pink. "Unless that would be an inconvenience for you"

"Sure, I could use some drinks after this," he said with laughter. Emilio didn't seem to be jerking away from him anytime soon, so he figured the lithe male didn't mind his smell too much, let alone after a while. As long as people didn't ask to enter his room, he liked hanging out with others.

Albeit slowly, they finally reached the elevator near the lobby of their apartment building. "Ah, there's a maintenance going on, you gotta use the stairs," one of the security in the lobby informed Jasper.

"Today, of all days?" he commented, looking at Emilio. "Look, if you don't mind, I can hold you up so we can get to your room sooner," he said, immediately taking Emilio's bag without waiting for an answer and sling it across his chest. "Do you mind a princess hold? There won't be anyone to see it, but if you mind, you can hold onto my back," he said.

"I-I think it would actually be better for you to carry me p-princess style" Emilio's face was bright red at the thought. "My arms aren't very strong so I may end up falling off your back if you hold me that way" He lightly pushed a strand of hair behind his ear. "I hope that isn't too much trouble..."

It wouldn't actually be too difficult for him to hold onto the man's back, but he wanted to be held close to Jasper's chest. That would be like a dream come true.

"I'm the one who offered," he said lightly, still holding Emilio the way he did until they reached the stairs. As expected, nobody was around. The maintenance should take a few hours, so either people were too lazy to go downstairs, or they spent time somewhere else. The poor guy was embarrassed enough as it was, Jasper didn't want him to feel even more uncomfortable under scrutinizing eyes.

"Ready? Tuck your legs, I don't want them to hit the walls and worsened your condition," he said, but felt glad that the staircase was wide enough to have wiggle room for Emilio. The emergency stair shouldn't be this big, normally, but the owner of the building cared about earthquake/fire evacuation route, so they put it wide enough for at least three people running side to side. Emilio's arm was already in the right place, so all Jasper should do was to squat and reached under Emilio's knee and lifted him up.

"Huh, you're lighter than I expected," he commented, adjusting his hold so that Emilio's weight would be all on Jasper's torso. "All right then, let's get to the fourth floor in one go!"

Emilio pressed close to Jasper's chest, quietly breathing in the man's scent. His sweat just heightened the natural scent of his body which Emilio loved. It was all that he could do not to get aroused from being so close to his love. "Thank you so much..." He murmured.

His cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red at the comment about his weight. "Ah... Is it strange?" Was this something that Jasper might dislike about him?

He pulled his legs closer to his body, his gaze turning away from the other man's face. "I've been told that I appear too feminine... But I've never been able to figure out a way to make myself look different"

Jasper waited until they got to the second floor to answer, because he was concentrating on moving upwards and it wasn't that easy. Maybe he needed to build more muscle, they were built for basketball and not heavy lifting, though his legs still went as strong as usual. The way that Emilio blushed made him think that it didn't merely come from embarrassment, which Jasper didn't find himself too against it.

'What am I, a teenager?' Jasper mocked himself with a snark grin, before he answered Emilio, "I think for our purposes here to get you fast to the first aid, it's fine." Yeah, he shouldn't get ahead of himself. It was just the situation was really compromising that he thought about things. "Now, don't talk to me before we get to the fourth floor, yeah?" he requested with a smile before dashing for two floors above.

By the time they arrived in front of Emilio's room, Jasper was panting hard. His chest and shoulders moved harshly with every intake of breath as he put Emilio down carefully. "Wow, I swear... This is more workout than I expected..." he said, removing Emilio's bag and handed it to him.

Emilio stayed quiet until he was set down. "Thank you..." He got his key out of his bag and unlocked the door, slowly hopping inside.

"Please come inside and make yourself at home" The apartment was extremely clean and organized. Everything was in a faintly Japanese minimalistic style, and the only colors present were black, white, and powder blue. "I'll make you some tea in just a few minutes..."

He sat down on the floor and took off his shoes, taking a moment to examine the swelling of his ankle. It shouldn't take too long to heal, and even if it did it was a small price to pay to have Jasper.

"I'm coming in," he said, appreciating the Japanese look in the room. His own room wasn't this customized, and he hummed. Removing his own bag, he placed it on the floor, near the shoes. "You have a nice room," he said, offering a smile as he placed his palm on Emilio's shoulder. "How's your ankle? You don't have to push yourself for the tea, I'm good with drinking anything."

"Thank you..." Emilio sighed softly and stood up, leaning on the wall. "I need to ice it, and having some tea will help me relax a bit. If I'm too tense then it can be harder for it to heal... Let me just get some painkillers" He slowly made his way to the bathroom and opened up a drawer. There was the medicine that he had kept for this very day. He had stolen it from school months ago. It would completely knock out the man for a few hours. He slipped the vile into his pocket and took some painkillers before limping back out to the living room.

"Shouldn't I...?" Jasper almost offered to help, but the other already moved to the bathroom. Oh well, he just had to sit and be the good guest he was. Jasper walked towards the balcony. It was small but still spacious, like his own, and just looking slightly downward, he already recognized his own place. Hoping that it wasn't that visible from this place (at least the interior), Jasper walked inside again. "I saw my balcony there. Maybe you've even seen me before," he commented harmlessly.

The man's words brought up a sense of fear in Emilio's chest. "Ah... Perhaps, but I only go out there to read so I don't often look out" He made his way into the kitchen and began to boil water. "You may have seen me though, if you spend much time on your balcony." Of course Emilio knew exactly how much time Jasper spent on the balcony. He was probably more aware than Jasper himself.

"I like the fresh air, so I go out sometimes," he said. Not only that, the room inside, although entirely his, felt pretty lonely sometimes. He didn't like being alone, so when he wasn't sleepy yet, he went outside for a breath of air with a mug of hot chocolate. His tastes were pretty childish most of the times, but he didn't mind getting mocked for that. Sometimes he did that right after a bath when the air was warm, so he only wore his pants.

"I never really noticed anyone, sorry. I lose focus everytime the distance is far enough not to see their eyes," he said, smiling at Emilio. "You were reading book too in the court, huh? You should play with us sometime!"

"I'm not very good at sports..." Emilio sighed softly, "I would just get in the way..." He poured the hot water into a teapot along with the tea leaves and put it on a tray with two cups as well as some cream and sugar. When Jasper wasn't looking he poured the vial of medicine into the cream. He knew that Jasper liked sweets and wouldn't want just plain black tea. He added a plate with a few sugar cookies as well.

Emilio very carefully brought the tea out to the living room and set it on the low coffee table. "There, please help yourself" He smiled and sat down on the couch with a soft sigh. "Ah, I almost forgot. My name is Emilio, it's very nice to meet you"

"O--oh, wow, pfffft hahahahaha!" Jasper let out a good natured laughter. He sat on the floor to reach the tea cup on the coffee table, low on the ground. He had to drink to calm his nerves, else he'd probably laugh for a long time. "I seemed to be preoccupied so much to not have asked for your name. What a bad manner," he said. "My name's Jasper, like the gem. Nice to meet you... Emi... li... o..."

What was this? He suddenly couldn't move, like someone turned off his functions, and the light grew dimmer around him too. His limping arm knocked the teacup to the carpet as he fell unconscious, following it.
