Yukio gave a slight shrug. "I don't like extra-ordinary names. They are over-used." At the next question, he almost feared something would happen to his snake. To be honest, he didn't want someone else to take care of it, and he was convinced Shou could break into his apartment.

He wanted to be surprised by how much Shou knew, but he just wasn't. It was like the brunette had read a book about Masaki's life, which was more concerning than healthy. Why was he so obsessed with facts around Masaki?

"N-no, he is fine. I am sure he will be taken care of." At least he hoped someone would look after him after two days or so. Call him and notice that he didn't answer whatsoever. "I, uhm, yes. I cook a lot." His glance went back down to the rice.

"Is that so?" Shou asked. In a breath, before he could stop himself, the tip of his fingers already reached out to Masaki's jawline, down to his neck and collarbone. His eyes weren't focused, but his eyebrows rather furrowed with concern.

He snapped at the next second, though. "I---" Shou trembled while retracting back his finger. "I'll leave you to your... meal," he said, avoiding eye contact with Masaki, fearing the repercussions. He wouldn't be able to calm down if Masaki looked at him differently, because the other had every reason to do so.

Hesitatingly, he got up and walked towards the door. "I'll... come for breakfast tomorrow, have a good rest," he said, half mumbling and returned to his downward gaze, and locked the door behind him.

"Ye--" Masaki instantly interrupted himself when the other leaned over to touch him. It was only the tip but it sent a tickling sensation through his body, which made him tense up. He stared at the other, almost like a cat that would jump at its prey in any second. Before he could do or say anything, though, his kidnapper already got up, nervous, and left awkwardly. Masaki laid the chopsticks to the side and rubbed over the invisible line Shou's finger had drawn before. Closing his eyes, he exhaled.

Fuck this place.

Masaki convinced himself to eat at least half of the bowl, then went into the bathroom, slightly paranoid and looking for any cameras. He didn't find any eventually and just took a shower as quick as possible. Returning to the 'his' room, he put on the clothes Shou had brought earlier. And didn't feel all comfortable. He wasn't used to wearing shorts, to be honest, they only showed off his thin pale legs. Maybe he should get a tan....

Okay, what the fuck. Why was he wondering about such a thing in such a situation? No, thank you.

"Not even a day and I am going crazy all over," Masaki mumbled to himself, dropping onto the bed. Well, one thing was clear: This thing was comfortable as hell, plus the pillows. Their material felt like it was expensive. Just how much had this all cost? And how much money did that guy have?

Sighing to himself, Masaki buried himself under the blanket. Though, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get a straight hour of sleep. The thoughts of insecurity in this place, being kept like a captive, terrified him enough to keep him awake in an uncomfortable rolling-around all night.

I laughed way too hard at this touching attempt. Staph meeeeee.

Shou's back slid against the door, yet not moving from that spot. What just happened? He touched Masaki while he was awake. He touched and it felt as wonderful as he expected it to be. He wanted to run his hand against Masaki's hair again. He wanted to open Masaki's eyes and looked at those mysterious eyes that drew him so much. He wanted to run his hand not just to that hair but everywhere, mapping every angles and curves and yet he couldn't.

He wanted Masaki to be his. To say that he was Shou's. To give his consent. To want Shou in return.

His mind ran a mile a second, and Shou couldn't track how much time had passed. The heater was only installed inside the room, so when he realized it, he already shivered in cold. The corridor also had installed air conditioner, so the fact that he was feeling cold probably meant that it was already hours since he went out of the room. Which meant hours past midnight.

"M-masaki...?" he called weakly, not sure if he wanted to be heard or not.

It was not all a dream, right? Masaki was truly inside that room and not just his delusion, right? "...Masaki?" he called again, still weak but louder than before. Carefully as not to make any noise, he unlocked the door and tiptoed to enter the room. Masaki didn't turn off the light, was that always his habit? Or was Masaki not inside...?

Shou walked slowly, without noise, towards the bed. Ah, there was a figure with blond hair peeking from the blanket. It wasn't one of those body pillows with wigs, right? Because who knew if he was insane enough to not remember ever buying something like that. With caution, Shou arrived on the bed's side, and he touched the digit of his fingers against the blanket. Warm, and not just from the heater. There was a living human body there. Shou teared up, releasing a quaking sigh he didn't realize he was holding. This was Masaki; he wouldn't mistake that figure.

Shou braved himself to run his fingers against Masaki's blond hair, repeating the action several times. Feeling satisfied, he brushed the back of his forefinger against his love's cheek, and got up to his feet. Gathering the dishes and the rice cooker, he brought everything but the metal tray out. Since there were still some leftover, he would just cook omelet rice later on. He turned off the light and went outside, not forgetting to lock the door behind him, for the last time tonight.

Faint scent of garlic filled his kitchen as he cooked the leftover rice with tomato sauce. Shou decided later on to ask how spicy Masaki liked his food. Since he wasn't sure, he didn't put any spicy condiments inside the meal. Putting it aside, he fried an egg on another pan, and finished his omelet rice. He also brought warm lemon tea to accompany the meal. Bringing two portions this time, he knocked.

"Morning, M-masaki..."

Okay feel free to laugh again, you horrible person. >: (

Masaki literally jumped when he heard the knock. A sigh fought its way through his throat and passed his lips, before the slowly sat up on the bed. He leaned back against the pillows and noticed right now that he had almost rolled himself up in this blanket as if he were in a cocoon. It looked funny, and it would be funny, if he weren't kept in a stranger's attic against his will.

"Morning..." He said, though he wasn't even sure if his voice even made it through the door. His eyes glided from the window over to the door, ready to focus on everything that would move. His stomach already annoyed him with growling. He usually ate much in the morning, and then less and less during the day. That was he had kind of gotten away from his anorexia. Who knew whether or not that was healthy. Also: Shou couldn't make him eat, right?

PAHAHAHAHAHAAHA—

Shou entered in the same fashion as he did last night. His two hands were holding two plates, each with perfectly cocooned omelette rice. Placing both plates on the table, he sat down and waited for Masaki to come around. "Let's eat?" he asked Masaki, daring himself to look at the other for now.

There was something safe about this room, similar to the feeling of having a well kept secret. It was perhaps the fact that he controlled everything in this room, which were all for Masaki. "I have a week off," he started explaining himself. "So I have all the time to accompany you inside. I'll bring your chess board today, though."

You're too cruel for my poor innocent heart

Masaki stared back like a dog waiting for the next thing to happen if it refused. Slowly, he pulled himself out of the cocoon and carefully stood up from the bed. It wasn't as cold as he imagined it with the shorts, though that didn't make it exactly better.

He sat down cross-legged and lifted his glance to look Shou once again into the eyes. Afterwards his glance fell upon the food. Rice omelette. It looked delicious, to be honest.

"What do you work as?" It could be that he had once asked, though he was a forgetful person since he didn't care for his surroundings much. Hearing the news regarding the chess board, he nodded. "Thank you very much."

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Shou stared at Masaki as the other walked out of the bed. Last night, Masaki was already cocooned inside a blanket, so Shou didn't get a view of those slender legs. His dark eyes went unfocused as mental images of being able to trace kisses over those legs intruded his mind.

It needed a herculean effort to get back to reality, and Masaki's voice did help in anchoring his thoughts. "Researcher," he said, not bothering to explain more. He didn't feel much about his current occupation, but that did allow him to meet Masaki in the first place. Shou grabbed his spoon and fork and passed the second set to Masaki. "Let's eat?" he offered again, still hesitant this time. His glasses only reflected small fraction of light as he began devouring his food.

"How about books, do you have your favorites? I could do a book shopping as well today."

An actual pink shimmer appeared on Masaki's cheeks when he felt the other's eyes on him. Could it be that... this man over there wanted something from him? Like intimacy?

A gulp. Masaki took the silverware and thanked Shou for it, then poked around in the omelette a little like he did with the rice the day before, ere he actually took a bit on it on his fork and tried it. It ... tasted good, actually. Really, he found. That was surprising. In fact, he wanted to hate this place. This person across from him. This situation. But there were those small things that made it comfortable.

He wasn't going to get stockholm, right?

"Uh, yeah," Masaki nodded. "I read thrillers and the like. Crime books. My favourite author is Cody McFadyen, though it is said that his last book won't be finished since he is apparently sick. Rumours say he won't leave bed again, though I still have some .. hopes, so to say." He faked a smile. "No, you don't have to spend money on me, really. That is too kind."

Masaki's smile caught Shou off guard. He stared in awe for a second before managing to get himself a reality check. There was nothing more that he wished for than to see that smile directed at him everyday in private. "I insist," he replied lightly, though avoiding to look at Masaki due to being too embarrassed. "Masaki, you deserve everything, and if it's within my power to give to you, I will," he said.

Shou felt dizzy after saying those words. He felt he had just said something too outrageous, too vulnerable. Distracting himself from the things he just said, Shou ate the omelette rice quickly. "I... don't know if you like spicy or not," he said, a hint of sadness left his tongue. After all, he rarely saw Masaki eat anything, so he didn't know his love's taste buds.

He enjoyed the omelette, though lowered his fork at the other's words. What exactly was the meaning of this? He was kept here, however he was treated like a prince or something. He was literally being spoilt. Almost like a hamster where you'd buy all of the extension things for its cage and it would turn out to be enormous.

"I.. feel honoured?" He wasn't sure as to how he should react to this. "Uhm, no, it's fine the way it's made..." A little insecurely, the blonde tilted his head, lowering his glance to the dish, before he set the fork aside. "Shou, what is this all about? Why am I here? We are both adults, you can talk to me."

Really, this was mental. And maybe he would be able to reach Shou's right mind.

Shou felt warm and cold one after another. Obviously, it came from the way Masaki called his name, then the questions after. He mirrored Masaki's gesture and put aside his fork as well, and began to think how to reveal his intention to Masaki. If he should do that at all. He opened his mouth only to close it again, several times, before he couldn't stand the tension put there by himself and blurted out, "I want you."

Wincing as he realized what he had said, he pulled his shoulders in, feeling like a powerless child. However, he recalled Masaki said that both of them were adults. That memory magically gave Shou strength to straighten up and look into Masaki's eyes. As he thought, they were pretty in closer distance. Shou put his palm on top of Masaki's hand. "I want to have time with you, because the glimpses you let me have in the library is no longer enough... It's a little unconventional, I admit. However, I've prepared and ready to give you more so that you'll feel as comfortable as possible," he said.

You know, normal people just at least tried those hopeless chat-up lines like Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? Or I lost my number, could I have yours? Really,he would never have minded that. But right now he was told that he was ... wanted, in one way or more, and he was kept here like a fucking trophy.

He looked down towards his hand when Shou covered it with his own, before his eyes went back up to meet his counterpart's. "In fact, you could have just asked me out as well..." What was it that had made the other do something like this? Like kidnap someone? That was illegal for fuck's sake!

Carefully, Masake moved to pull his hand back. "You want me... Okay. In which way exactly?" Really, it was a difference it the other craved intimacy or an actually relationship. The latter would probably fuck him up all over.

"But..." Shou's eyes went a hue darker. "Then there will be no telling if you'll accept me, right?" he asked, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Or the implication that doing this kidnapping would make Masaki accept him instead.

He felt the loss when Masaki pulled his hand away, but if Masaki jerked it out in disgust, Shou would probably be heartbroken. This gentle gesture made him feel appreciated, and he let Masaki had an undisturbed personal bubble. "I want you to want me back..." he said, hesitantly. The fact that Masaki not outright refusing him gave Shou courage. "...and I'm prepared to wait as long as you need."

That was why Shou did this whole thing. "Ah, considering that, I've used your phone earlier this morning to inform your boss that a family member in Tokio died and you would be taking care of the funeral," he said, remembering the call. "I didn't specify who, because I don't know if your grandparents or uncle are still alive or not." Shou threw another apologetic look towards Masaki.

He totally ignored the first part for now, especially when he realized what the other had done. Not only had he intruded into his private data, he had also spoken for him! And the apologetic look didn't make it any better.

"You did what? Are you even aware of what you have done?" The smaller one leaned back, crossing his arms with an unbelievable expression his hazel eyes. "You took my phone without permission! You talked to my boss and put words in my mouth! Are you aware of in how much trouble I could get?" He was a really kind and patient person, but that was too much.

Masaki rose to his feet. "Who do you think you are? Maybe it's okay to lock me in a room, though it's definitely not okay to take other people's belongings! Let alone use them!"

What a chaos! Fuck!

Shou frowned, not getting the reason for Masaki's sudden outburst. If he left Masaki's attendance alone without any news, that would leave him in an even bigger trouble, right? Who would want that for his love? Shou made a promise to himself to never hold Masaki back from his career, and this hiccup would probably for the better.

However, he could see that explaining wouldn't make things better right now. Contrary to Masaki's peaking mood, Shou felt calmer than before. If anything, he was glad that Masaki began showing him various expressions. Even his angry face was somehow cute, which made Shou smiled as he finished his meal. Clapping his hand above the empty plate, he said, "Thank you for the meal. I'll be going down now, do you have anything you need besides the Chess?" he asked as he took the dishes and got up.

Masaki's temper left as quick as it had occurred when Shou just.. smiled. And thanked for the meal. And nothing else. That guy hadn't even listened to him! What the fuck?

He was insane. Mental. Wicked. Just what the hell--

Okay.

The blonde took a deep breath, uncrossing his arms and looking the other in the eye. "No, I will be fine." At least he hoped so.

Patience didn't bring him further, impatience didn't either. Raising his voice, keeping his voice low. It was all for nothing, it didn't work. The only thing that seemed to work was when he responded to Shou. The brunette had even implied that he would wait, that Masaki could take all the time he needed.

Oh yes, he would need it.

"Okay, then. I'll be back in a couple of hours," Shou said. Beginning to feel relaxed around Masaki, he used informal pattern of speech. He didn't bring Masaki's plate as the blond hadn't finished his meal yet. Closing and unlocking the door behind him, he went to his bedroom in the second floor. Both his bedroom and kitchen, albeit in different floors, were close to the stairs. Other rooms and public bathroom, living room, and library were all closer to the front door.

Even though his parents were gone, Shou didn't move to the master bedroom. It was too large and bright, with window occupying half of one wall to the garden and city view. Located on a hill, his house had one of the best view in the vicinity. Some real estate agent wanted to buy the house after his parent's unfortunate death to turn this into a villa or homey designer hotel, but he didn't give it.

Turning on his vehicle, he put aside the destination to buy the chess board, and instead went to Masaki's apartment's direction. There was a pet to take care of.

It took Shou a two hours longer than he expected, because the mall was open late. The sun was high above his head as he entered the house again, this time with a plastic bag filled with new Chess board. Upon consideration, he also bought poker card and UNO card, and brought everything towards the stairs leading him to the attic.

"Masaki?" he called, commending himself for being able to say that name without stuttering. It felt exhilarating, to know he could call his love's name and got a response. "Is it alright if I come in?" For a second his mind imagining Masaki was right after a shower and only wearing towel, a scenario often seen in the romantic movies. He blushed and tried to erase that thought.

The door closed, the familiar click sound of it being locked resounded and the steps - which he already believed to know perfectly - became quieter and quieter, fading into silence.

Masaki exhaled and covered his face with his hands. Just what the hell had he been dragged into? He turned to the side and walked over to the window, though he didn't see much, really. It was disappointing.

He walked to the bed and dropped down on it, trailing a hand over his thigh in boredom. Subsequently, he fell backwards onto the bed, his arms slightly spread out on the side. There was probably this one way to freedom... Agreeing with Shou. The thing was that he didn't really want ... He was a stubborn person, sadly. Like, who was he to be forced into something like a relationship?

On the other side, was anyone aware of that guy's 'problems'? Did any psychologist know? Probably not. Shoot.

______________________________________________________________________________

When his name was called some hours later, the blonde's eyes looked up towards the door. "Yeah." He was sitting on the bed cross-legged, a pillow on his lap on which he had his arms resting, his head ontop of them. The moment the door opened and Shou entered, hazel eyes studied everything, like a mouse making sure the cat didn't want to eat it. "You were gone for a long time," Masaki said. "What did you do?"

Shou walked over to the bed before putting the plastic bag to the floor. "Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot to count what time the store would open. I didn't wait for too long though, since I dropped by your apartment to take care of Nico," he said, not explaining further of which ways he took care of the pet snake. He figured it was something that Masaki should praise him about, so Shou simply smiled. No, a praise might be too much for Masaki right now.

"So besides the chess board, I also bought poker cards and UNO. Should we play something challenging?" he asked, and pulled out the card first. "If you lose one round, I can ask you questions that you'll answer honestly... and you won't laugh about it," Shou said a little shyly.

"You went into my apartment? You took are of Nico? How? You didn't do anything to him, right? If something happened to him, that would make me sad," Masaki said concerned, unsure as to what Shou was capable of. He might be capable of more thanhe showed when being in this room and talking to 'someone he wanted'.

His eye fell onto the cards that the other pulled out. A challenge? Pfft. Fine. He loved challenges.

"Okay. If I win, though, you show me the house," he answered, looking up into the other's face to see how he reacted to that.

Of course he went into Masaki's apartment. How else could he bring Nico (and its container) out of the place? His eyes widened in worry when he thought that Masaki would be sad. "I took it to a pet shop... Pay money to feed and take care of it for a while..." he said hesitantly. "It's cute how you call it 'him'," he mumbled, smiling.

"Oh, getting out of this room is a little..." he trailed off, but couldn't see any reason why he shouldn't agree, considering Masai would also answer him honestly with any questions. "Maybe not today, but in a couple of days, but yeah, you could. If you win."

Feeling glad that Masaki lightened up, Shou fixed the way he sat on the bed, and began mixing the cards. Splitting it according to poker rules, he let Masaki be the player, him the dealer. Giving two cards to Masaki and himself. "Will you check or bet?" he asked, before pulling another three cards.

"Of course.. It's a male. And I am close to him, like friends, so... " He disliked calling something an 'it' only because it was an animal. Especially when it were the own pets.

He nodded when Shou agreed to his conditions. They played a long time and even if it was more luck than anything, Masaki tried to win. Eventually, he really was victorious. With a grin on his lips, he set the cards down. "I won. That means you have to meet my wish. At least in a few days, as you said." Oh yes, he would be stubborn about that, honestly. After all, it would help him a lot. And it might take a little tension from Shou. He had to make sure his kidnapper would become inattentively.

"Of course," Shou said, agreeing to that. "I'll hold to my words, though there are things I need to prepare first." Like a handcuff. He didn't prepare them since he didn't intend to make Masaki feel too restricted, but precautions were still needed. "Well, maybe it doesn't need a few days..." he trailed off, recalling that cuffs from adult toys would also suit the needs. He could order them today and receive it tomorrow. Less conspicuous too.

"Now, let's play Blackjack? I still want to ask you more personal things," he said, mixing again the cards and shared it according to the rules. The first game he was still lost, but he demanded for another game, and this time, he won.

"Since you win for the second time, what else do you want?" Shou asked, being fair before he prepared his questions.

The raven tilted his head. Preparations? What was there to prepare? Did Shou want to lock all the doors and windows in the house before he would let Masaki wander around?

Sounded legit. Sadly. "I see," he said. "No rush."

"Ah, sure," the blonde then added, looking back down to the table. He really wondered what those questions would be like. What was there which could possibly have picked Shou's interest?

Masaki straightened his back and lifted a hand to wipe some strands out of his eyes. "How about dolphin cookies?" Yeah, his he was way too tensed right now to think reasonable. Nobody could guarantee him that his kidnapper would stay this nice if Masaki claimed more than than the one week Shou had off.
