Short Bio: Still unsure with himself, he could be a little moody. He knew he liked Japan and would like to go there someday. His hobby was including watching anime, manga, covering music (has good voice), and drawing (really bad at it).

 

 

 

The bell rang and Kai walked towards the student center. One of the room there, just besides the library and computer lab, was one filled with circling booths that students could sit on. Usually, it became a meeting place for clubs, and he immediately saw the Japanese styled bun heads of his friends.

 

"Hey ladies," he greeted them, and realized that one of them wasn't there. "Only the two of you? Where's Maya?"

 

Paige giggled and said, "Listen Kai, we got a new member! He's very cute, Maya showed his picture to us! You're about a head taller than him, I think, so..." She trailed off and looked for confirmation at Sheila, who nodded in excitement. "...You two are very shippable!"

 

Kai blinked.

 

His three clubmates were girls. He joined this Japanese Appreciation club because they didn't judge whatever manga or anime that he enjoyed, and even recommended some titles for him. From their recommended titles, though, they didn't have to tell him that they were fujoshi. All of those titles were sparkled with bromances, including the shoujo manga they lent him.

 

"Really? Now I want to see him~" Kai hummed in anticipation. He was having fun with this club, and as much as they didn't judge him, he didn't judge them either.

Name: Ryuu Miyazawa

 

Age: 18, Freshmen

 

Short Bio: Ryuu likes watchcing anime and drawing manga on the side lines. He owns a cat since he lives alone most of the time. Ryuu lives with his brother Shuu but rarely sees him other than in the mornings and at night while having dinner. He likes to draw mostly everyday.

Ryuu looks down at one of his notebooks as he was working on some homework but slowly looks over to the side. He got this pamphlet for a club by one of the female students in his class. He rubs the back of his head with a sigh as he picks up the pamphlet, looking at the clock, ~I... should probably be getting going now. Don't want to be late.~

 

He got up and gathers up his homework and stuff, putting it on his shoulder and looks again at the pamphlet, slowly making his way out of the cafeteria once his study hall came to a end.

 

Ryuu looks around and rubs the back of his head, hoping he was going in the right direction as he continues to glimpse at the pamphlet until he came to a stop.

 

Ryuu looks up at the door and then opens it with his head down, "um.. I hope I am not too late," he walks into the room as he closes the door and sits down at the table.

"Is this the new member...?" Kai looked at the newcomer. An idea formed in his head as he stepped in, obviously disturbing the new guy's personal bubble. He eyes the guy carefully from top to bottom. Pale blushy skin, big blue eyes, and soft white hair, was that guy for real? No wonder why the girls were fangirling. "You're even cuter than I thought," he said at Ryuu, then winked at the girls, obviously commenting like that to blow up the girl's excitement.

 

It succeeded. Paige and Sheila giggled uncontrollably right now.

 

"Yoroshiku," Kai said in well-sounding Japanese pronunciation, despite being not a Japanese himself. He still didn't step back, they were close enough that if Kai thrust out his hand, it would touch the newcomer's torso. "My name is Kai Lendall, but go ahead and call me Kai. And you are...?"

Ryuu looks down at the floor and blinks a couple of times, slowly looking up at the other male as he was getting looked at. He looks at the other girl members in the group and blinks, perking his head up as he looks at the other male, "e-excuse me," he rubs the back of his head while his cheeks were bright red as he listens to the girls giggling.

 

Ryuu tilts his head to the side as he heard the other speak again, still wondering on the whole 'cute' thing. He slowly nods his head, "oh.. um my name is Ryuu Miyazawa," he rubs the back of his head, wondering where the girl was that wanted him to join this club so badly was.

Kai blinked then grinned. "So you're a nihonjin! Nice. I'm practicing my Japanese, so talk with me in nihongo sometimes, okay Ryuu?" he asked, grabbing Ryuu's hand in a friendly shake. He stepped away and made room for Ryuu to join them at the table. Besides, the common room wasn't just their club's. Other students also used it, usually for group projects. Since it was the beginning of the term, not many booths were occupied yet, but later on it would be hard to enjoy calmness around this place.

 

It was that time that Maya decided to show up. She looked a little disheveled, and she beamed when she saw Ryuu. "I've been looking for you! But you found your way here, huh? So~ Have you met everyone yet?" she asked Ryuu, but her eyes glinted at Kai, obviously referring to that guy.

 

"Ahhhh someone give me cold water, you guys, standing side-by side like that...!" Paige exclaimed. "You look perfect together~"

 

"Calm down guys, you're going to scare him," Kai said, while grabbing pocky from his bag.

 

It didn't miss Sheila's attention. "Pocky game...!" she said, a little quiet but anyone could tell that she was excited.

 

Maya sat down on one of separate chairs and clapped her hands too. "Pocky game... I saw that on the internet last week! Can you try it in front of me, Kai? Please?"

 

"What, with you?" Kai eyed the black haired girl, pretending to be ignorant. When Maya glared at him, he said. "Sorry, sorry. Ryuu, do you mind doing it as a dare?" he winked at the other male.

Ryuu looks at Kai and nods his head, "a-ah so that is why your saying those words.. my japanese is very limited," he rubs the back of his head he shakes Kai's hand. He perks his head up as he heard the door open.

 

He notices the girl that insisted on him to join this group and tilts his head, "I.. didn't know you were looking for me." He slowly nods his head, "yeah.. I just looked at the number on the pamphlet you gave me with the instructions on the back." Ryuu looks up at Kai and looks to the side with his head lowered slightly embarrassed.

 

Ryuu rests his chin on his palm and blinks as the sudden outburst once the pocky came out. Ryuu looks at Kai and tilts his head to the side, "p...pocky game? Um.. I suppose it will be okay," he rubs his hand through his hair.

"Awesome, whoever chickens out first has to comply to the winner for the rest of the day, deal?" Kai said, fully knowing it made all three girls blushed with imaginations. He swore their imaginations were really wild sometimes. Well, he read the girls' yaoi collections, the output would come out from the input, right?

 

"This is supposed to be my snack, but oh well. I like this matcha flavor, so I'm taking the flavorful side," he said, biting the tiny portion of the part covered with green Matcha-flavored candy, leaving the un-flavored end of the stick free for bite. "Hom' ong," he said, meant to say "come on".

Ryuu blinks a couple of times, rubbing the back of his head and was unsure how the pocky game actually worked, he just enjoyed eating pocky while he was drawing. He didn't know there was a game to it really as he confusingly rubs the back of his head and nods his head slightly, "o-oh um right," he leans slightly closer and glances at the girls as they were blushing.

 

Ryuu nods his head as he watches Kai put the pocky in his mouth and tilts his head to the side, laughing a little. He slowly moves forward and places his mouth on the un-flavored side, wondering if this was a daily thing that would happen in the club or not. Of course, being a Freshmen, Ryuu had no idea what any of the clubs were going to be like.

Now, only their two lips were holding the pocky stick right up in the air. Grinning, he chomped big and crunched 1/4 of the stick already, feeling daring. Kai had no idea whether or not Ryuu knew the rules, he thought that everyone already knew about this game. Maya and the others looked ecstatic, Sheila even already got her smartphone out, obviously capturing the moment in a video. Kai made a mental note to deny her from posting it online.

 

Waggling his eyebrows, his reddish brown eyes looked straight into Ryuu's big blue eyes. Ah, that hue is indeed pretty, Kai thought, feeling a little distracted.

Ryuu looks at Kai as he blinks a couple of times, seeing how close he already was. He glances slightly to the side, noticing that they were getting filmed. Ryuu shakes his head, trying not to get too distracted and starts nibbling on the pocky, slightly going closer to Kai and wondered how close he was going to truly get.

 

Ryuu tilts his head to the side as Kai was looking at him while blushing as he finished nibbling on the pocky and wondered if Sheila was still filming since he was too focus on the pocky game.

Oh, this guy is daring too, Kai thought, then finally chomped that only a digit-length left between their two lips. He saw how fidgety Ryuu became, and that face was seriously really pretty. Kai could pretend that Ryuu was a girl, at this distance. Just like Maya, he saw the pocky game video as well. The school boys literally skipped the game and kissed each other. Grinning, feeling somewhat daring from this situation, Kai bit again, ignored the rest of the pocky that fell to the table, and pressed his lips against Ryuu's.

 

The schoolboys in the video kissed tamely, so Kai should give the girls something to watch, right? Meaning to kiss longer, Kai nibbled on Ryuu's bottom lip.

Ryuu places his hands on his lap and looks at Kai, wondering why he kept looking at him like that as he slightly rubs his lips on the pocky. He blinks a couple of times and jolts, feeling Kai's lips on his and was unsure how to truly react. He looks down at the pocky on the table.

 

He slightly froze in place as he was getting a kiss from Kai, twitching a little while his bottom lip was getting nibbled. Ryuu turns his head slightly to the side as he glances over at Kai, "s..so um.. does that mean no one won?"

"No reaction?" Kai blinked, referring to the kiss, then chuckled. "Of course someone won. They won," he said, pointing his thumb to the girls. Maya was sketching something really fast, while Paige and Sheila both muffled a scream as Paige asked Sheila to send the video to her phone. "Sorry about that. It's just that I like seeing them getting excited. If you're not against it, let's become partners in crime~" he said, sitting down and put the fallen pocky bit to his lips.

 

"Ew, gross," Maya told Kai, who just responded by a shrug.

 

"You guys reaaally need to treat me lunch," Kai told Paige and Sheila.

 

"Oh please, you're enjoying it, right?" Maya commented too.

 

Kai only laughed.

 

"Well, you've come into a dangerous den, Ryuu," Kai said and started a normal topic, "You said you didn't speak a lot of Japanese. Are you a second generation here? Your parents don't use it much at home?"

Ryuu blinks as he looks at the girls, looking to the side while pouting, "o..of course they won," he crosses his arms and rests his head on his arm while he leaned back with his cheeks still bright red. He glances up as he watches Kai finish the pocky and rests his head back down.

 

Ryuu tilts his head as he didn't really know if Kai enjoyed it or if he was forced into it by the other female members as he rubs the back of his head.

 

Ryuu slowly sits up straight and tilts his head to the side, "I.. don't really see my parents a lot, I only really see my brother but.. even that is limited due to everyone busy work schedules."

"Oh...?" Kai took a new pocky and crunched it under his teeth. Savoring the matcha taste's outburst in his mouth, he stared at Ryuu's face tilting to side. That kind of gesture was really feminine... Cute, maybe. Kai remembered that, despite being a guy, those lips were soft. "But you still live under the same roofs, right?" he asked again, now offered the Matcha pocky to that guy. "Take some if you want," he said.

Ryuu looks at Kai and nods his head, "yeah of course.. I am not really ready to move out from my parents. I got to get a job first but.. my brother is working to get an apartment for the two of us to stay since we are at that age..," he rests his chin on his palm. He looks at Kai and then at the pocky, "but.. they are your snack so you should enjoy them," he leans back in the chair and stretches his arms up over his head with his shirt slowly lifting off his stomach since he didn't tuck in his shirt, forgetting to this morning.

"White," Kai mumbled before he could stop himself as he saw Ryuu's torso. He probably should stop noticing things before it got out of hand, though. "Naw, what's the point of showing food if not for sharing?" Kai grinned. "Up to you though, just know that you could take some if you want."

 

Pushing the box to the center of the table, he pulled away and began paying some attention to Maya. "Earth calls to Maya," he greeted the long haired girl before slumping against the table. "Are you into your doujin plot again?"

 

"Oh yea," Maya giggled. "And I'm so writing about the two of you."

 

"What, no... You're disturbing Ryuu's privacy," he said.

 

Maya retorted, "And not yours? Aww... your protective inner seme is baring its fangs," she said, teasing Kai with a blink.

 

Now, how could Kai told her that it was because if it was just himself, he didn't mind doing anything for Maya? He couldn't, so he didn't. "Come on, you're going to scare the new member, I still need to taint him with cool stuffs."

 

"Taint...!" Maya blushed at the term Kai was using.

 

"Not in that sense!"

 

"Well, fine, fine, don't get mad," Maya said. Kai could practically see the light bulb of idea came into her mind as she beamed a smile. "But under one condition; if my doujin needs some pose, you're going to provide example for me. With Ryuu too!"

 

".......but you're doing R18 stuffs."

 

"Exactly!"

Ryuu rubs the back of his head as he leans back, "well.. I suppose so," as he brings his arms down to his side, Ryuu slowly pulls his shirt down to cover his stomach. He glances at the box as Kai pushes it to the center, resting his chin on his palm with his other hand stretches out.

 

Ryuu perks his head up and looks at Maya, tilting his head, "w..what? I am going to.. be in a doujin," he glances at Maya and then embarrassingly looks away.

 

Ryuu looks at Kai and laughs a little, shaking his head, "nah it takes more than that to really scare me," he tabs his fingers on the table quietly.

 

He blinks a little and looks to the side, wondering how big of a fangirl Maya was about this kind of stuff.

 

Ryuu tilts his head as he looks at Maya, blushing and looks to the side, "I..I am not much of a model for stuff like that," he hides his face within his arms.

"See?" Kai smiled teasingly. "You said you weren't scared, Ryuu, but this girl is pretty hardcore, you know," he said, leaning his arm on Maya's head, who tried to shoo him away unsuccessfully.

 

"Oh come on, guys. Just some pose I can't figure how to foreshorten. Clothes on, I swear!" Maya said, begging to Ryuu then to Kai. Even though she had to wag her tails, he couldn't pass the chance as good as this.

 

Kai made an 'urgh' sound, it wasn't like he could say no to Maya, right? "Well, if Ryuu's okay with it...?" he eyed Ryuu, didn't know what kind of message he wanted to convey with his eyes. Maybe he needed Ryuu to refuse the thing he couldn't. Maybe he wanted Ryuu to say he was okay with it. Kai made a mental facepalm upon this situation, and he could've sworn both Paige and Sheila had sparkling eyes, waiting in anticipation.

Ryuu looks at Kai while rubbing the back of his head, "well... I suppose so. I guess just never met girls like this before," he laughs a little and rubs the back of his head slightly.

 

Ryuu rests his chin on his palm as he looks at Maya, blinking a couple of times as she was looking at him and then looks at Kai, wondering what he should do.

 

Ryuu took a few seconds to think about it, unsure what to really do with this situation. He just sighs and blinks as he looks at Paige ad Sheila, slowly looking over at Maya with a glimpse at Kai, "u..um.. well if it will help you get better at it... than I suppose it will be okay." ~I mean.. how bad can it be? We will have our clothes on so.. it can't be that bad,~ he thought while rubbing the back of his head.

Kai made a mental groan at Ryuu's answer, meanwhile Maya immediately ran from his hold and hugged Ryuu. "Thank you! I'll credit you in my doujins if you like!" she exclaimed.

 

"Do you want to kill me from embarrassment?!" Kai exclaimed while the girls were giggling happily. For some people, the term privacy probably meant nothing. If not for being friends for a year already, Kai would definitely leave this group.

 

"Now, I didn't get to enjoy your kiss earlier, so can you do that again?" Maya asked with faked innocence.

 

"Obviously nope. You can draw kisses just fine," he said.

 

"Okay not the kiss, but you can lift his chin roughly, Kai," Maya told him.

 

Kai groaned outwardly this time, but he looked at Ryuu and said, "Are you sure you're okay with this? These girls will only ask more outrageous things, you know?"

Ryuu watches Maya and flinches a little as he glances at Kai, knowing he has been with these girls longer. He slowly looks at Maya while rubbing the back of his head, "u-um.. well depending on the doujin I guess it would be okay," he didn't want to get credit for any extremely crazy doujin that Maya makes.

 

Ryuu looks at Kai, tilting his head to the side, "it's.. not like we are going to model infront a big group of students.. right," he tilts his head confusingly to the side.

 

Ryuu then perks up his head as he looks at Kai, rubbing the back of his head a little and laughs a bit, "um.. well I am half not sure.. but.. if Maya needs help with one of her doujins then.. I guess it is okay," he slightly glances to the side, unsure what he was going to get involved in.

"All right then," Kai said, giving in to the situation. He sighed and stood up, towering himself over Ryuu's sitting position. Grabbing Ryuu's chin, he lifted it until Ryuu's head tilted upwards. "Sorry about this," he said, but Maya slapped his back. "Ouch, careful!"

 

Maya's arms were on her waist, though, she would be having none of disobedience. "What kind of forcing someone to apologize right away, huh?" she asked.

 

"Say some dialogues!" Paige requested.

 

"What kind of dialogues?" Kai seriously couldn't think of one thing to say in this situation.

 

It was the quiet Sheila who said, "Say 'I will steal your heart'." Maya gave her a thumb up.

 

Kai looked at the exchange and the turned his attention to Ryuu's face. He still couldn't get over about how big and how blue those eyes were, and they were so close, and wasn't Ryuu's eyelashes too long for a boy? "I- I will steal your heart..." he said, half stammering.

 

"Oh come on, you kissed him earlier just fine~!" Maya pouted.

 

"That was different, okay!" he yelled at them, and let Ryuu's face go. That was Kai being in control, wanting to surprise the girls and gave some kind of fangirling materials. Not this... forced situation... No matter how pretty Ryuu was, it wasn't like Kai could be something that suave so suddenly. I did NOT just think of him as pretty...

Ryuu blinks as he watches Kai get up, tilting his head to the side as he watches him get closer and slightly jolts a little. He blinks a couple of times and then watches Maya hit Kai's back.

 

Ryuu looks at Maya and then tilts his head, blinking a couple of times as he listens to the conversations going all over the place.

 

Ryuu laughs a little as the conversations were wondering around but then perks his head up, watching Kai with his cheeks getting a little red, slowly glancing to the side.

 

He looks over at Maya and then at Kai as he slowly moves his head to the side, lowering his head as he looks at the floor. Ryuu rubs the back of his head, unsure how to really continue this as he glances back up at Kai, leaning back in the chair, ~why... does he keep looking at my eyes like that,~ he thought as he rests his head on his arm while at the table.

True to his words, Kai tried to influence Ryuu into playing some games and watch some anime which made others uncomfortable or disinterested. Whenever the girls saw them talking together, they would be fangirling and whistled. Instead of feeling nervous, Kai usually hugged Ryuu and told the girls, "What, jealous?" that only made them fangirling harder. But except for the first time, the girls reeled their beasts well and seldom requested anything.

 

Weeks passed until a Sunday morning. Kai had slept in late; he barely realized that he was woken up by a phone call instead of alarm. Kai looked at the caller id: Maya.

 

"'ssup?" he said in a croaky voice.

 

"Help me.... I really can't do this by myself...!" Maya cried in his ears.

 

Kai found himself taking a quick shower and grabbed a purple hoodie plus worn out jeans, already on his way to Maya's apartment. He rang the bell to find the girls of the club with worn out faces without any make up, tablets all over the place. Maya greeted him, "We're saveeeeeed! Here, change into this uniform!" she told Kai.

 

"Where have I seen this before...?" he said looking at the basketball uniform, white and sky blue.

 

Sheila fixed her glasses and said, "It's Teikou's uniform. From Kuroko's Basketball."

 

"Whatever, just change!" Maya said, pushing Kai towards the bathroom.
