To Alisia's horror, it seemed that their fears came true. The panther's ears flattered as pure rage overtook her every other emotion. Connor's face similarly turned dark, following his wife close behind.

With absolutely no delicacy, she threw her phone to her husband as a sign to contact the ibex as she knocked on the door loudly enough for the entire neighbourhood to hear, planting a fake smile on her face.

The lion managed to send only two words "come quick", prepared to bust the door down if needed.

"Shit..." Eric glanced towards the door at the sound of the knock. "Hurry up Fisk, I'm not leaving until you're done"

With a soft whimper Fisk dug the blade into his skin and cut a straight line, tears running down his cheeks. "I-I'm sorry..." He mumbled one more time.

"Good, go wait in the bedroom" Eric turned and walked to the door which he opened just a crack. "Yes?"

Fisk obediently stood up and started to walk towards the bedroom, shaking and sobbing softly.

As the door opened only a little, the lion did not wait for special invitation. Connor pushed his hand through the gap, only to ensure he would not close it. A chance like this one was rare afterall.

None managed to say a word when three police cars pulled over, the fake smile on the panther's face fading. "Nice timing." She muttered, staring straight into the bull's eyes. "As for you. You disgust me."

"You are under the suspicion of psychological and physical abuse Mr. Hennedick. You are to come with us." One of the officers climbed out of the car, making their way to the bull.

From the same car, another figure climbed out in a span of seconds while the officer was still talking, a pair of dark eyes and a cold expression seeming to look through the entire commotion, directly at the bull. Alisia acted before the police arrived. This gave Kas a very bad feeling.

"What the hell?" Eric backed away when the Lion pushed his hand in the door, his eyes widened as the police cars pulled up. "W-what?"

The sound of cars brought Fisk out of his room. A cry of fear escaped his lips as he saw the police cars. "N-no!" He rushed to the bull's side. "E-Eric w-what's-?" He froze when he saw Connor and Alisia. "W-why are you h-here?"

"It's okay Fisk, stay calm" Eric gently pulled the fox into his arms, gently stroking his hair. "I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding"

Fisk started to cry even harder than before, clinging to the man's shirt. "E-Eric..."

"Mr. Hennedick Eric, please make your way alone to the car with your hands up." The pollice officer did not falther, having seen several such scenes before. In truth, the only thing the man had noticed was the scarred face of the fox, which was quite a shocking sight.

Alisia let out a sigh, feeling somewhat sorry for Fisk. This event would take a lot of time to process but she was sure this was the right course of events. Near the bull, he would never have any hope of healing nor getting better. "I act as witness. Also. I am sorry but the earlier conversation had been recorded. Sue me for trespassing if you will, I do not care." Her voice was cold and distant. It was only when her eyes landed on the fox that her eyes showed her sadness. "Sorry honey. But you have truly entured far too much. I could not just ignore it."

Kas did not move from the side of the car. He too, knew it was the best decision.

"D-don't go, E-Eric please, I-I don't wanna be alone... P-please don't go..." Fisk pressed closer to his husband's chest. "P-Please..."

Eric gave the fox a gentle squeeze. "It's going to be okay sweetheart... You'll be okay, I'll be back before you know it" He lifted the boy's chin and gave him a loving kiss before pulling away and raising his hands.

Fisk continued to cling to the edge of Eric's shirt as the bull made his way towards the police car. The fox sobbed weakly, his body still shaking. "D-don't go... P-please..." He didn't know what else to say, he had no idea how he could survive without his husband.

Kas refused to move even then, just eyes coldly fixated on the man named Eric until the police officer locked a pair of handcuffs on the bull's wrists and opened the door to the backseats. If the ibex did not know better, he would have been convinced himself.

Alisia wrapped her arms around Fisk, her heart heavy. "You can hate us honey but it was simply too much. He hurt you again... Please come with us. We will not leave you alone ok? It is not him you need, I promise. We will take responsibility for you now being alone." She was on the verge of tears once more, proving that she truly was the emotional type. Connor could only watch, just like Kason.

Eric stayed silent, fully cooperating with the police.

Fisk let out a wail of pure sorrow as Eric was put in the car. "N-nooo! Let me go!" He weakly struggled against the panther's hold, reaching out for Eric for some kind of help. "D-don't take him away, p-please..." Finally his legs gave out and he collapsed on the ground, sobbing. "D-don't leave me alone... P-please... Please don't t-take him" His face was a mess of tears.

Alisia kept her hug tight despite the struggling, not blaming Fisk in the least. To him, who was so used to the man so much that he grew dependent, this surely sounded like a nightmare. But it was real. She still had no regrets however.

Kason did not climb in the car again. He had already handled the formalities for the day. He would have to return in the morning but was convinced the abuser was not going to get away. They had proof, plenty of it now. With or without Fisk's permission, he was going to be found guilty. Fisk's words in truth would not help the bull at all. A psychologist would be able to find more proof of emotional abuse after talking ot him.

The officer looked at the group after shutting the door, giving the last instructions. All of them were to show up in the morning, with Fisk being sent to a psychologist as the claims yet had to be verified, even with the proof.

Fisk curled up on the ground, trying to calm his breathing. What was he supposed to do now..? He had no where to go, no friends, no family, no job...

After a moment he stood up, barely able to see through his tears. He slowly began to walk back towards the house. His expression was one of complete shock, he couldn't process what was happening. "Dinner..." Eric would be back by dinner, this wouldn't take long to sort out. Right? Eric hadn't done anything wrong... He would be back by the time Fisk had finished dinner... There was no way this could last longer than a couple hours.

Kason watched as the fox stood up and as in a trance, walked back inside as if in a trance. The door was left open and Fisk had gone inside. The ibex could do nothing but sigh, not wishing to further worsen the situation. Instead, he sat down right next to the door on the outside.

"Kason?" the panther looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he was doing.

"I want you two to open the store tomorrow without me. I will stay here for a bit and try to convince Fisk to return with me. That man will not be coming back anytime soon afterall."

"We cannot just leave." The lion spoke unhappily, but in a way he knew that after all this, the fox could not be left alone.

"No. Kas is right. We are too many here plus the store has to be opened." Surpringly Alisia was much more clear headed about it. The reason was, she had never seen such look on the ibex's face before. Something made her understand that no matter what they were to say, it would not get to him.

It was Connor's time to be completely confused, not understanding his wife's decision at all.

Fisk went to the kitchen and began to get out ingredients for dinner. The new wound on his stomach was still bleeding and the bloody knife was still on the floor. The fox was still shaking as he began to cut up vegetables, not even noticing that he kept making small cuts on his fingers.

He couldn't get the sight of Eric in the back of the police car out of his head. Why had this happened? What had he done wrong? All he wanted was to live happily with his husband, he didn't want any of this. What had he done to deserve this?

The ibex watched the two get in the car reluctantly, waving as they left. This had been quite the day, and not only for him. He did not move from that spot, sitting down like a drunkard in front of the house, not daring to startle the fox and make things worse by intruding. The fox probably needed time more than anything else.

The bull's fake tender gesture was something that replayed in his mind, sickening him. How could someone be so despicable and completely ruin a child?

A loud crash came from the kitchen as Fisk dropped the dish he was holding. He fell to his knees, mumbling apologies as if Eric was still in the room. He lifted his shirt and grabbed the knife, completing the X in his flesh. His eyes glazed over as he watched the blood start to leak from the wound. This was his punishment, this was what he deserved... He pressed the knife to another part of his skin. He had made so many mistakes in just one day...

Kason jumped up as he heard a loud crash come from inside, all his hesistation vanishing in an instant. Without thinking any longer, the brunetter rushed in, his eyes scanning around as he went like a mad mad straight to the kitchen.

What he saw was the knife, already having carved a new wound, now pressed against another patch of skin.

Kason firmly gripped the kife by its blade, pulling the weapon out of Fisk's hand. He did not even flinch at the pain, his face turning only a little pale, not letting go of it even after he started to bleed. Instead, he kneeled to the ground next to the fox.

"What do you think you are doing?" The ibex asked in a gentle voice, letting out a sigh.

Fisk snapped out of his trance when the knife was pulled away. "W-what are you doing..?" He released the knife and scooted back away from the Ibex, his eyes starting to fill with tears again.

"W-why did you c-call the police? W-Why did you t-take him away?" He hugged his knees to his chest, shaking like a leaf. "Y-you said we w-were friends! I-I thought I could t-talk to you! W-why did you t-take him a-away from me! I'm all a-alone! I-I never asked for this, I j-just wanted to be happy with him... That's a-all I wanted"

Kason did not try to get any closer to the fox, putting up with the blame that the other was throwing at him. He listened to everything that he had to say, the calmness on tge ibex's face vanishing away. Instead he visibly grit his teeth, but did his best not to raise his voice.

"THAT is happiness? He hurt you! Again! If you are my friend then how the hell was I supposed to just accept that? When I saw the look he gave you when he picked you up, I KNEW he was going to harm you. How the hell could I watch it and let it slide?" It was obvious that his composure was nowhere to be found.

"If it was me, instead of you. If you saw that the one I love makes me think that I am trash to the point that I..." he paused, looking at the knife he held in his bleeding hand, throwing it aside on the floor. "Harm myself. Would you consider me happy and look at me happily? WOULD YOU?" The brunette was slightly shaking himself.

"Why? Why do you need someone that does not show you love unless it's convenient? Someone that actually loves you, would never hurt you in any way, fool."

Fisk flinched away as the man raised his voice, prepared to be hit again. "I-I..." He sobbed weakly, curling up in a ball.

"H-he... H-he said he l-loved me... And he u-used to be so gentle... H-he's the only person who could e-ever love me, and we u-used to be h-happy together... It's just, since he-" he cut himself off, letting out a soft whimper. "He's just b-been having a hard time l-lately."

Kas knew that he messed up by scaring the fox even further but he was sure that were he to speak normally, the point would not get across.

The ibex turned with his back to Fisk, sitting down on the floor like he did outside in front of the door, not attempting to touch him. That wpuld make things worse.

"Words mean nothing when not backed up by actions. You cannot return to the past and whatever you have now, it is not love. Love is a gentle feeling that does not hurt. There is absolutely no way to justify deliberately harming the one you love. Absolutely none. Using you for stress relief? What kind of bad joke is that? Do you feel safe around him? You are flincing and shaking even now, expecting me to be him, expecting me to harm you."

Kas hugged his knees, resting his head on them. "Hate me if you want to. I feel happy and do not regret it. You are actually away from danger."

"You just... D-don't understand... He's the first person who made me feel happy... Even if he was a l-little older..." Fisk chewed his lip, trying not to think about the questions. He didn't feel safe, he hadn't felt safe around his husband in years. But what would happen if he admitted that..?

"W-what am I s-supposed to do without him..? I n-never even finished middle school... I can't get a job, I can't go home" His eyes started to fill with tears again. "N-no one else would ever l-love me... There's nothing I can do a-alone"

That was indeed true. The fox had absolutely no one now and it probably made him more fearful than ever. He had no income at all and the monster he called husband made sure he had no one to run to, was anything to happen. He bound Fisk to himself in every way. But it did not have to go that way.

"I will hire you. I will hire you to do the dishes and clean for both the cafe and my living quaters as it is too much work for myself. You will get a full time pay, all meals included, health insurance and you can live upstairs in one of the vacant bedrooms. You will receive a key I will not have a spare for so you will need to make sure that you do not lose it. The bathroom is shared in between the rooms however. You will get free time and spend it as you like. Also access to the living room where we have the TV. What other complaints do you have? I will solve them."

Fisk looked at the ibex, his eyes wide. "W-what..? B-but... I don't have any job experience... I'll p-probably make mistakes a-and I might b-break down... Won't you just t-throw me out when I'm not good enough?" He sniffled and wiped his eyes on his sleep. "I-I'm never gonna be good enough for anyone... Eric is the o-only person who was willing to put up with m-me"

He was still shaking, it was all so overwhelming. Right now all he wanted was for Eric to show up in one of his good moods and gently hold the fox until he calmed down. He felt so alone and so afraid, in less than an hour his entire life had fallen apart.

"You do have the experience. You've been doing chores for a long time now right? You will be fine. Even if you mess up, I will not throw you out." The ibex let out a sigh, pulling out his stack of keys and picked one of them, separating it from the chain and sliding it across the floor towards Fisk.

"You are good enough and perfectdly suited for it. So what do you say?" Kason finally turned his face towards the male, smiling with the same gentleness as before. "You would be a great help as well."

"W-what if I lose the key..? If you don't have a spare a-and I lose the key then I'll be l-locked out and I'll just cause problems." Fisk finally met the other's eyes, trying to hold back tears. "A-and what's going to happen to E-Eric? Is he gonna be let out soon? He s-shouldn't have to suffer because I'm t-too stupid to stand up for myself... Right?"

"If you lose it, we will make a new one. It's cheap and easy. The only reason I do not have a spare is because I do not want to be seen as having any sort of ulterior motives." Kason was pretty blunt about it. Hiding would not really be a good thing in any way afterall.

His face was somewhat cold as he was reminded of the bull however. "He will not suffer for you not being able to stand up for yourself. He will suffer for being what is called an abuser. His punishment will not be easy, and it not something that you have influenced but his nature. Well, that will be however decided by a judge not by me. But I will tell you this from the start, I despise that man so I do not really care what his punishment is. Whoever dares to treat another human being like that deserves the worst of it."
