Kotorichan
Fisk slowly picked up the key, breaking eye contact again to look at it. "I... I don't hate him... I still love him..." He lightly touched his wedding ring, tears pricking at his eyes again. "H-he made me happy... Before everything went wrong..." "Tomorrow... Will I have to talk to the police..?" He was really terrified of the idea of talking to them, but it might help to be prepared. "I'll have to tell them everything right..? Everything that's h-happened between us... E-even if they don't understand. I'm not a-allowed to lie to the police" His body started trembling again, if he told them everything then Eric would definitely end up in prison. Guest Eornostlice
"Yes you will have to tell them everything. " Kas turned his head again away from the fox himself. "This might sound stupid but some time to reflect on his wrongdoings night do him good." He was not lying, it was certainly something that was possible. "You know. Alisia has been like that today because she was a victim herself. Her mother... ended up getting killed by her father. My grandpa... was her hero. Connor as well. Her father was locked up. He will stay there for the rest of his life, but. He had changed there. His relationship with her is still broken but he had sent a lot of letters of apology. When she visited, he was similarly apologetic to the point of crying. When people are held responsible for their actions, sometimes they wake up." Kotorichan
Fisk couldn't bring himself to respond. Deep down he knew that the ibex was right, Eric had done terrible things... But he couldn't really admit that to himself, he wanted to believe that he could still have a happy life with his husband. "I-I'll go pack some things..." He mumbled, shakily getting to his feet. It looked like the fox could collapse at any moment, he was so overcome with stress and sadness. What else could he say? He felt... Empty somehow, like part of his identity had been taken away. Who was he without Eric? He didn't have any hobbies...
Guest Eornostlice
The ibex was not just going to wait in the kitchen for the fox to just fall over. Fisk did not look good so he found himself following, only to ensure his safety. Now that he was away from danger, he did not want to cause harm himself by not properly watching over him. "Is there anything I can do to help you out?" He was probably intruding a lot but leaving the fox be was a bad idea given that moments ago he tried to cut himself. Kotorichan
"I don't know..." Fisk mumbled as he walked into the bedroom. A pair of handcuffs laid on the bedside table so he quickly slipped them into a drawer, his cheeks flushing softly. "How much should I bring with me..?" He still wanted to believe that this would all be over in just a couple days. He searched around in a closet until he found his old suitcase. Before and just after they got married Eric had taken the fox on lots of nice little vacations. But they hadn't gone anywhere in almost two years. Seeing the bag just brought more tears to his eyes as memories of their happy times together came flooding back. Why had things changed..?
Guest Eornostlice
The ibex looked away, pretending not to have seem the all too obvious handcuffs. He did not want to pry in the couple's life other than to prevent the violence afterall. And in a sense, it was not exactly unexpected. "Take all you find necessary. If you'd need something more you could always simply come back to take it, right?"
Kotorichan
The words brought Fisk back out of his memories and looked over at the ibex. "O-okay... I think I remember where Eric keeps the spare key" He put the suitcase on the bed and began to search through his closet and drawers, trying to figure out which clothes would be best to bring with him. All of his clothes were pretty old and any light colored shirt had faint bloodstains on them. Eventually he managed to find enough clothes to get him through a week. The fox quickly went to the bathroom and got some toiletries.
Guest Eornostlice
Kason simply waited, keeping his eyes on the fox as much as possible. It was not quite difficult to see that Fisk needed proper new clothes and not just a place to stay. Perhaps a shopping session would make him happy. But of course that would have to wait for quite a long while. Given the condition that he was in, all he needed was a nice relaxing nap afterall. "Do you mind if I call a cab? I sent the other two ahead and walking would be too tiring for you right now."
Kotorichan
"Are you sure..? Won't that be expensive?" Fisk looked up at the ibex. "I still don't have any money so I can't help pay for it..." He chewed his lip and turned away to finish packing. "I guess... You could probably use one of E-Eric's cars if you want" His chest tightened as he thought about his husband again. Was Eric really not going to need those cars for awhile..? Was he really going to be gone for that long? His eyes started to water again, it just seemed impossible. He quickly wiped his eyes on his sleeve, trying to push the feelings down for a little longer.
Guest Eornostlice
"It's alright. Consider it as paid working expenses. You just take what is yours alright?" Kason had absolutely no intention to use something that belonged to the bull. He did not want anyone insinuating that he had been looking for anything and scorn his actions. He would help the fox with his own power, until the end. The things in the house belonged to Fisk as well, true. But it was not likely that he could actually use the car himself so it was uneeded. Kotorichan
"Okay... I have a lot of things for cooking. But I can just come back for those later... Right?" Fisk still felt like he needed to ask for confirmation on every little thing, otherwise he might make the Ibex angry. Then where would he be? He didn't have any money or anywhere to go. Kason was the only person he could rely on right now.
Guest Eornostlice
Kason was patient, understanding the frail state that the fox was in right now. The fact that he stopped sobbing alone was wonderful. Surely, Fisk had yet to wrap his head around everything. "Do not worry about it. We have mostly everything you'll need there. Ah but if you will want something from here of course you can just retrieve it later." Given how the ibex was planning to let him use everything in the kitchen and to get him go shopping for proper clothes later, it was unlikely that he would need to return to here too soon in the future. Kotorichan
"Okay... I don't eat much and I can pay you back for anything I use" Fisk started to pick at one of his scars. He had completely forgotten that the ibex had told him to stop doing that. He was just so overwhelmed by everything, right now he really just needed to lay down and get some rest. It really had been a long and terrible day and the fox just wanted it to end already.
Guest Eornostlice
"I told you remember? All the meals are included in the working contract. You cooking from time to time would be nice but not necessary." The ibex could not help but sigh, the fox seemed to have developed the habit to hurt himself everytime he was stressed. Once more, he had to reach out, to gently stop his hand from further picking before the wound would reopen. He did not say anything about it for fear that it would further agitate Fisk, but he did hope he would remember himself. "Then is this all you need? I will just call for the cab now, you can decide what else you want to bring."
Kotorichan
Fisk instinctively flinched away from the ibex's touch, but he didn't protest it. "Oh... R-right... Okay" His ears flattened. "I'll just go make sure I got everything" He forced a nervous smile before going back to looking through the bedroom. Fisk didn't have too many belongings, at least not anymore. There had been a time where Eric would pamper him with gifts, but most of those had been broken or thrown away during the bull's fits of rage. Eventually Fisk found a quilt in the very back of the closet which he had brought from his parents' house. He put it in a bag along with a stuffed whale that Eric had bought him on a trip to an aquarium. He went to the living room and took a small framed picture of the two of them together. For a moment he just stared at the picture, it had been taken a long time ago, back before he had all his scars. But they looked happy in the picture, that was what he wanted to remember. He packed the picture, hoping that it would be enough to make him feel a bit more at home.
Guest Eornostlice
Kas could not so anything but sigh as he observed the fox's fear, no longer making any comment on. As Fisk took his time to check for anything he might have missed, the ibex took his time to call a cab, which was to arrive in a couple of moments, lastly texting the panther-lion couple to let them know that they would both be coming for dinner. His phone buzzed almost instantly, starlting him as he was about to check on the fox once more. "OH THANK THE GODS!!" was the instant reply he had received, causing him to smile wryly as it was followed by several others. "I will go help the bedroom!" "Ah. Should I prepare a bath?" "What does he want for dinner?" It was obvious that the panther quite got attached to the little fox and was getting fairly protective. On the other hand, Fisk himself looked like he only needed some rest to get himself together.
Kotorichan
Fisk tried to just sit down on the couch to wait, but found that he was too stressed for that. He once again stood up and began to look around the house. He found a couple more things to pack and then went to find Kas, hoping to find out how long he would need to wait before the taxi arrived. Guest Eornostlice
"Ah Fisk?" Kas ended up smiling a little at the fox. He did not look too good and he was pretty much responsible. "I think the cab is outside." The ibex eyed all the things that the other decided to take, not commenting on it. "Are you done? Do you need help carrying it all to the car? Ah don't worry, they will wait otherwise. There is no rush." He was not sure what he could do to soothe him for time being, but surely it would get better in time. Kotorichan
"Y-you don't have to worry about me" Fisk said quickly. "I-I can carry everything" He quickly gathered up his bags, although he looked like he might collapse from the weight of the bags combined with his stress. The fox slowly began to walk outside, doing his best to hide how close he was to tears. He wished that Eric would come out and just pick him up along with all his bags. That would make everything better.
Guest Eornostlice
The ibex shook his head at the sight, not planning on letting the fox overwork himself. Even when told otherwise, Kason simply picked half of the bags, not planning to let Fisk protect. "Come on now, you should learn how to accept help. There is no way you could carry it all." He sighed softly. Helping the fox out was going to be a lot of work to do, but again, the ibex was also set on not giving up.
Kotorichan
Fisk sniffled softly when his bags were taken, it just made him feel worse that he had to be helped with something so simple. "I'm s-sorry..." He mumbled, letting his head hang a bit. "I-I ended up packing too much" He put his things in the back of the taxi and waited until Kas got in before climbing in himself. Without thinking he pressed close to the door and hugged his arms around himself, trying to take up as little space as possible.
Guest Eornostlice
Even tho he had the choice to go to the front next to the driver, the ibex chose to climb next to the fox in the backseat instead, his eyes constantly glued to the smaller man. Just like before, he gently reached out to pat him after giving the directions to the driver, his ever-present little smile in place. "You've done a good job, do not worry. Everything is going to be alright. If anything, we'd rather you learn how to be a little selfish." He spoke his thoughts honestly, not sitting too close but giving Fisk enough space. Kotorichan
Fisk looked over at the ibex. His eyes were still filled with fear and confusion, but he did relax a little bit into the gentle touch. It was somehow even more comforting now that he was in such a vulnerable state. He was so temped to just snuggle up to Kas and cry. But he didn't deserve that, he didn't deserve to feel safe or let his feelings out. Wasn't this all just a punishment for his mistakes? If he had just been better at... At anything, then maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Guest Eornostlice
Seeing that Fisk did not get further scared from the touch but relaxed a little bit, Kas just kept his hand in place, patting him like one would a small fragile cat. He himself would have wanted to do more in order to soothe him, but as someone that met the fox earlier that very same day, it seemed fairly inappropriate so he did not go with such silly idea. Plus, he was sure, once they were to arrive, the panther herself was going to spoil him rotten, with or without his consent.
Kotorichan
Fisk slowly leaned into the touch more, nuzzling his hand. His tail twitched softly, almost wagging. He felt himself starting to fall asleep, all the panic had left him completely exhausted. Just a few more moments later and the fox was fast asleep leaning against Kas' shoulder.
