The ibex looked at the sleeping fox with a small sad smile. It would not take a genius to comprehend that the man was simply exhausted, the set of events being a bit tol much for him to handle. That is why Kas did not remove his hand nor move away, letting Fisk to sleep peacefully all the way to their destination.

It was only when the cab pulled up in front of the store that with a sigh, he decided to wake him up. Both Connor and Alishia were already by the door, prepared to help eith the luggage, the panther's smile especially bright.

"Fisk? We are here. Wake up for now alright? You can go back to bed once inside."

Fisk snapped awake at the sound of his name. "A-ah" He jerked away, eyes wide. "I-I'm so s-sorry, I d-didn't mean to f-fall asleep on you" His body was trembling slightly, ready to be hit. "I-I'm so sorry..." He got out of the taxi, lightly picking at the scar on his hand.

Kas climbed out himself only after the fox did. Everytime Fisk flinched away, looking scared, he could not help but let out another sad sigh. The young man had been truly hurt in more ways than one.

Yet he himself was patient. The ibex extended his hand once more to gently stroke at the fox's head, not intending to harm him in any way. "Have you slept well? You must have been exhausted."

"Sweetie? Go on ahead with Kas upstairs. We will bring your luggage up there ourselves. Let owner give you a tour of the place." It was then that the panther's voice resounded happily, the woman already picking up a bag.

Seeing her determination, the ibex knew there was no convincing her. "Let's go in first, shall we?" he noddes towards the cafe.

"I... O-okay..." Fisk's shoulders slumped in defeat. He felt horrible for letting himself be taken care of like this. He had already caused enough problems for the three. He hugged his arms to himself, trying to stop himself from nuzzling into Kas' hand again. He couldn't get too comfortable here, this wasn't his home. Even if Eric didn't come back soon Fisk would have to find somewhere else to go eventually.

Giving Fisk one last pat and a smile, content with how the fox was reacting, Kason lead the way inside, towards the staff only door and finally upstairs. All he wanted was make the other understand that this was a safe place. A place where he did not have to be afraid and no one was to harm him.

The door to the bedroom was unlocked due to the fact that no one stayed there for the longest time. That room used to be his own, but now, after his grandfather's death he prefered to stay inside the bedroom that used to belong to the old man.

The room was fairly spacious but not overly so. A large bed, a nice fluffy carpet in the color of milk and a pinish type of white on the walls were the first things one would notice when stepping in. Closets, empty nightstands, a desk and a TV, an armchair and three small shelves filled with books could also be found inside, all neatly kept. Surely, in comparision to the fancy house, this did not look like much. But just like the cafe, it had a home-like atmosphere.

"This will be your room. Will it do?" Kas asked in a sweet voice.

Fisk's eyes widened at the sight of the room. Sure it was much smaller than his house with Eric, but that had always felt like Eric's home. Fisk had no say in buying or decorating it, and it had never really been called 'his' house. But this room actually felt like something he could manage. It was small, it looked comfortable, and it was his.

His tail tucked between his legs as he started to tear up again, this time with happiness. "It's... It's wonderful" He said softly, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. He managed to give the Ibex a shaky smile, his cheeks tinted pink.

A soft chuckle escaped the brunette, his eyes getting even warmer as he ruffled the fox's hair. "Your smile is so much better." he said it honestly, knowing that Fisk's tears were not tears of fear nor sadness. "Come on. Let me show you the bathroom, livingroom and my own room. If you will ever need me and I won't be downstairs, surely you will find me up here, alright?"

The ibex was unsure as to why he added the last part but it felt important.

Fisk sniffled and nodded. "O-okay" His cheeks were still flushed softly and he kept the tentative smile and he was led to the other rooms. Everything felt so much safer than his home with Eric. Maybe it was because it felt so much more inviting, but probably because the bull was nowhere to be seen. Fisk pushed those thoughts away, he still wasn't ready to accept what had happened.

Truly that smile was so much better than the scared face he had in the afternoon.

Each room was presented slowly. The livingroom was painted a color similar to the bedroom that was now to be Fisk's, and it conrained a big TV, a couch, more shelves with books and a computer at a desk. There were also quite a few plants in the room.

The bathroom was equipped with everything one needed as well: a shower with a large tub, the toilet, a cabinet with everything neccesary, the sink and the toilet, a rug to prevent slipping placed on the floor.

And finally came the ibex's bedroom. Just like the other rooms, it was kept simple, but the walls were painted blue. The bed was a little bigger, a queen size. On the nightstand next to it was placed a picture. An old man hugging a tiny ibex whom was smiling from ear to ear. That was one of the pictures that Kason absolutely loved.

Fisk's bags had already been placed in his room, but neither Alisia nor Connor stayed. They had to reopen the store along with starting dinner.

"You seem pretty tired so I suggest you take a bath and rest. I will show you the kitchen and explain your schedule later alright?"

Fisk looked around with wide eye. Everything seemed so safe and welcoming, it made him feel close to tears again. He wiped his eyes again. "O-okay... T-that would be wonderful." He gave another shy smile, trying to hide his happy tears. "I don't know w-why I k-keep b-being so s-silly and emotional..."

The ibex let out a sweet colorful chuckle, his hand once more finding its way on top of Fisk's head to give him friendly ruffle, messing up his locks of hair. "Isn't that a good thing? I'd rather have you like this. It means you do not hate it here. I will give you a towel and a bathrobe. I have some unused extras that you can use. If you need shampoo or anything just help yourself to it as well."

Both of the mentioned items were pulled out of the ibex's closet placed in his personal room, both having a pleasant fluffy texture, the pale green making it obvious that both items belonged to a set. "There you go?" he held them both for the fox to take.

With the fox showering, he would have to make the bed.

Fisk's ears immediately flattened when he was offered the items. They seemed too nice, fancy almost. "I-I can't, I have clothes that I can use..." He didn't deserve this much, really he didn't deserve any of this. He should be punished for allowing Eric to fall into such a state that he would be arrested.

Kason's warm kind smile did not fade. It would be a lie to say he did not expect Fisk to refuse, but he would not be giving up so easily. What would be the point of anything if he couldn't be a little stubborn.

"Just take them." The man insisted, touching one of the flattened ears softly. "It might get a little chilly after the bath and if you do not dry yourself properly you might get sick. Be a little more selfish if that is what it takes?"

Fisk started to lean into the man's touch almost immediately, his cheeks flushing again. "I don't deserve to be selfish..." He murmured. "If I'm selfish then n-no one will ever l-love me or even t-tolerate me..." He began to pick again, it was such a habit that he barely noticed when he started doing it.

The fox was back to his habit but Kason was determined to have none of it. He did not immediately stop him, instead rubbing at the man's ears playfully, trying to get them to perk up and twitch. He looked like a child.

"But I am actually asking you to be a bit selfish am I not?" He had to remind himself to be as gentle as possible. We will still be friends if you try it. Actually it would make me feel really happy if you let yourself be spoiled, nit just by me but by Connor and Alishia as well. You see... This entire building... both the cafe and this place upsetairs are places where people should allow them to enjoy themselves. " The bathrobe and towel were once more pointed towards Fisk.

Fisk stopped picking at his scar when his ears were touched, his ears twitched slightly as he nuzzled into the ibex's hand. "O-okay..." He took the bathrobe and towel and hugged them to his chest. "I'll get my soap and shampoo..." He turned and started to walk back to his bedroom.

His smile bloomed on his face as the fox gave in. Baby steps. That was all he needed. He had to make sure he did not rush and surely the fox would slowly heal. A therapist would be a good idea, but he was sure after tomorrow's talk with the police, Fix would be coaxed into one. Kas did not bring up that subject. If anything, what he was thinking of was that the way that the fox nuzzled his hand was adorable. Poor thing. He was craving gentleness and friendship. He needed someone now when he was most vulnerable.

"Go ahead." His own next step was making the fox's bed so he walked hinself to his room, leaving his door open. In a drawer underneath the bed, that was where the spare pillows and blankets were kept. He made sure to pick the two softest ones, along with a warm blanket.

Fisk got his soaps and shampoo before taking a shower. He finished his shower and returned to his bedroom, dressed in pajamas that he had clearly outgrown years ago. The worn water had helped him relax a bit, and now he was completely exhausted. When he reached the room he carefully hung up his towel so it could dry properly.

While the fox washed himself, Kason took care of the man's bed. The two pillows made the bed look much more inviting, with the blanket neatly covering the bedsheets. They were in a pale blue, a color that the ibex had always found soothing. On the bed was left a small note that read: "If you need me, I will be either in the kitchen or at the cafe. You should however take a nap. (: " for Fisk to find. It semed that the fox needed plenty of assurance for every step. Until he'd get bolder, the man wanted to make sure everything was comfortable.

Only after all that did the brunette go down to help in the cafe, which had been conveniently reopened already by the panther and her husband.

Fisk read the note, smiling slightly. It really did make him feel more at home. He sat down on the bed and without even pulling the covers over himself or turning off the lights he fell asleep. The fox was completely exhausted and the bed was just so soft. He slept peacefully for a few hours.

Once downstairs, the ibex simply resumed his normal activity. Despite being the cafe's young owner, he mostly managed the official side of things, meaning he took care of the paperwork and supplies. But with only two employes, he did not allow himself to slack off. His duties often included cleaning and waiting tables, not wishing to overwork the couple. Today, he was helping as a waiter.

Kason did not go upstairs at all, not wishing to wake Fisk up. Once he was awake he would hopefully come down

After a couple hours Fisk jolted awake with a cry of fear. His sleep had been interrupted by a nightmare about Eric. The fox's body was trembling in fear as he stumbled to his feet. All the guilt and fear from seeing Eric taken away had come rushing back. He wanted so badly to be held and comforted by his husband, even if it had been a long time since anything like that had happened.

It was already evening so the cafe was at its busiest time, filled with customers old and new. Most of the orders were taken and plenty of them had already been delivered. Handling it in 3 man as fairly difficult but not exactly unusual. The evenings were usually a bit hectic afterall. The closing time was in one hour however, so they wouldn't have to keep it up for a very long period of time.

It was about then that Kason thought about the fox. Probably he would have to go check up on him and invite him to dinner once everything was taken care of but if he was still asleep, the ibex figured it would be a shame to disturb him.

Fisk got dressed and put his key and phone into his pocket. He didn't want to be here, he didn't deserve to be in such a nice place. The fox slipped downstairs and looked around for an exit that wouldn't make him pass by too many people. If he talked to the ibex then he might be stopped.

The entire place only held two exits- one through the front door, which lead right inside the cafe or the backdoor, through the kitchen, the place used for deliveries. Unlike the busy cafe, the kitchen was usually quiet, having no one but Connor inside, trying to keep up with everything.

"Alishia? In five minutes I will take a break to check up on Fisk. Think you can handle it here?" The ibex whispered discreetly, gazing at the full tables.

"No worries, I've got this." She rolled her eyes. It wasn't the first time when she had to deal with so many people on her own and she was certain she could manage.
