Fisk waited until Connor was clearly distracted before slipping out the back door. He didn't have any money or even any idea what kind of place this was. But if anything bad happened to him he felt that he would deserve it. The fox flattened his ears, pulling his thin coat a little tighter around himself before starting to walk in the direction he thought Eric's house was in.

It was about five minutes later that everything got settled down more or less and Kason managed to slip away, heading upstairs. It was quiet so he had assumed that the fox was sleeping yet cracked the door open just a bit, wishing to make sure that everything was truly alright. Afterall Fisk did have the tendency to self harm.

But it was empty. The bed was empty and so was the room. He panicked. It was that exact moment that made him realize he shouldn't have left the fox alone at all. Or at least he should have come to check earlier.

Just to make sure, he opened all the doors, but as expected he wasnt there. The only other places where he could possibly be was the kitchen or outside.

Fisk had pulled up his gps app on his phone so he could find his way back to Eric's house. He had to try not to check it too often since his battery was almost dead. Of course no one would be calling him. The only one who ever called him was Eric, and now... Now he was completely alone.

He wasn't in the kitchen and Connor was clearly distracted. Going outside was all there was. With so much work to do, it was no wonder that he observed nothing. The ibex did not offer any explanation nor did he try to get his coat on. He simply bolted out of the door, still wearing his waiter outfit anf hokding nothing but his phone. He did not have Fisk's number.

The air was slightly colder for such outfit and he was anxious. Not because he did not know where to search. But because something could happen to him if he walked alone and it got dark. His husband's house. It had to be there.

By the time his phone died Fisk was in an area he recognized. He managed to find Eric's house and went to knock out of habit before remembering it was empty. His chest tightened as he took the key out of his pocket and let himself in. The house felt huge and frightening like this, completely empty and dark. Fisk tried to blink back tears before pushing the door closed and going to Eric's room. He flicked the lights on and climbed into bed, pulling the covers around himself and breathing in the bull's scent before allowing himself to cry.

By the time he got to the bull's house, Kason was out of breath and sweating despite the cold weather. He had ran the entire way there and was happy to see the lights on, sign that Fisk was indeed there. He breathed out a sigh of relief, trying to regain his composure. The ibex probably looked like a mess.

He pushed the doorbell, not bothering to knock, folding his arms in front of his chest, still breathing heavily.

The doorbell made Fisk cry out in fear. Who could be at the door? Was it someone Eric knew? It took a few moments for him to realize that Kason may have figured out where he had gone. He kept the blanket wrapped around himself as he rose to his feet and walked to the door, checking the peephole to make sure it was Kason before opening the door a crack and peeking out.

The ibex's face made it clear that he was upset, his arms folded in front of his chest as he stared directly at the fox through the small opening, letting out a sigh of relief. This was his fault as well. Fisk looked scared. Kason's face instantly softened and he extended his hand the same way someone would towards a scared cat, not attempting to push the door open or anything along those lines, just staying still.

"What's wrong?" His voice was calm and full of worry. "May I come in?"

Scolding him would have been a terrible idea.

Fisk's ears flattened when he saw the man's expression. He flinched when Kason's hand moved, stepping back from the door and stumbling over himself. His breath quickened to panicked gasps as his eyes filled with tears again. He didn't want to open the door, he didn't want to be hurt. He knew he had done something bad, he hadn't been given permission to leave and so had caused problems for everyone. "I-I'm sorry..." He managed to whimper.

Ah. He had looked too stern. Once more, the ibex felt like kicking himself for being so transparent. He did not want to force his way inside but standing there would not solve anything at all and for all he knew Fisk would be just closing the door.

He pushed the door open slowly and got closer, wrapping his arms around the fox gently. "I am sorry. I am not mad. I am not mad alright? You're alright. It's alright now. I won't hurt you. I was worried."

Kason held the scared fox like a child, gently stroking his head. "It doesn't hurt right? I am not going to hurt you."

Fisk flinched again as the man grew closer. He only started to relax when he felt the gentle touches to his hair. "I-I'm s-sorry..." He whimpered, leaning into Kason's chest. "I-I j-just d-don't belong there." His voice cracked as he started to cry. "E-everything there is so n-nice, I-I don't deserve a-anything..."

"Don't cry..." He kept his voice to a whisper, continuing to pat the sobbing man. He should have seen it coming and should have guessed that the fox was to be kept close. His self esteem was not existent afterall and his tendency of bringing himself down if not straight up harming himself was there. This was his fault.

"Alishia, Connor and I want you there." Probably such words would never reach the fox. "You have done nothing wrong Fisk. Nothing at all so don't cry..." Those tears were causing his own heart to sting. If the fox would be unable to do things for his own sake then at least... "I was happy that you agreed to my request of staying there. I've been selfish you know. An empty house is lonely." Then he only had to appear selfish himself.

"Y-you'll start to hate me, you'll get s-sick of me..." Fisk lightly pressed his forehead into the ibex's chest, hiccuping again. "I-I don't want you to hate me. I w-want to be your friend." Saying it out loud made the fox feel even worse, how could he ask for someone to do something so impossible? Who would actually want to put up with him for any amount of time? "I don't w-want to be alone... I-if you get t-tired of me t-then I'll be c-completely alone..."

Finally he said it. A smile crossed the ibex's face as he let out a sigh of relief. So the fox did not hate that place. It was simply a mistubderstanding.

"I don't get tired of you. Ever." His hand touched the fox's ears, stroking them gently. "We are already friends. Did I not tell you so? I won't leave you alone, I promise, ok?" The arm around him tightened a bit. All that Fisk needed was a friend to make him feel safe by focusing on him was it not?

Fisk finally looked up at the man. "B-but I'm really a-annoying and I always mess up... Won't that make you hate me? You'll get s-sick of me ruining everything..." His gaze dropped to the floor again. "T-thats what happened with Eric... I-I kept messing up and he j-just got sick of it."

Letting go of the hug but still keeping his other hand to stroke at the ears, the ibex raised his hand up to wipe at the frail-looking man's face gently, cleaning off the trace of tears.

"I do not find you annoying at all. But even if you were, I still would not hate you." He did not comment on how he was not the bull, that was something Fisk would need to realize sooner or later by himself. The world outside what he knew, outside that 'cage' his abuser had always kept him in, was completely different.

Fisk nuzzled into the man's hand. "I don't wanna be alone..." He mumbled looking up into the man's eyes. "I-I'll do anything you want." The exhaustion was starting to wash over him again. Now that the adrenaline rush had faded away he was left without any energy. The fox had been so dependent on Eric in every way that he didn't know how to function alone. He was already starting to fully rely on Kason.

"Then... If you will do anything I want... come back home alright? That is what I want." He was smiling. It was rather easy to tell that what the fox needed now was someone to rely on. The cafe was the best place for it in the end- he would need to learn how to accept people, old and new and how to open up. Getting him to work with Connor and later on making him interract more eith Alishia was hopefully going to help him get much more balanced and to accept getting spoiled every now and then.

"I ran after you without telling the other two anything. They must be worried by now."

"O-okay... I'm s-sorry..." Fisk sniffled, dropping his gaze to the floor. He wasn't used to people worrying over him. He didn't know if they would walk or take another taxi, and didn't want to ask. Taking another taxi would cost money. "I-I didn't think you would actually worry about me..." He admitted softly.

"Of course we would worry about you. Aren't you a friend? It's getting dark. What if you were suddenly attacked by someone? What you did was really dangerous." He did not scold Fisk, instead explaining calmly. Only now did he loosen the hug, still smiling and patting the fox's head. "Don't do dangerous thing again, alright?"

Only now did he feel actual relief. The ibex wouldn't be able to forgive himself was anything to happen to the fox. He was now directly responsible for him afterall.

"We are taking a taxi back. It's too dark for walking and a bit too cold as well. Come on up?"

"I don't know... Eric usually just leaves me out all night if I do something wrong, so isn't that just normal?" Fisk really had no one else to base his interactions off. "If I-I got hurt then it's my own fault for not being able to take care of myself." He slowly stood up, his ears flat against his head.

His heart broke when he heard Fisk believe such treatment was alright or deserved, further anger directed at the bull making its way inside his being. How terrible.

"It is not normal and it's really dangerous. Also you being hurt would not be your fault at all. You should let absolutely no one treat you that way. Even if that someone is me, your husband, or an absolute stranger. Absolutely no one in this world has the right to put you at risk Fisk." They would need to start from 0, but it was alright

"But... It was my f-fualt for not being better behaved..." Fisk protested weakly. He just couldn't believe that Eric was as bad as Kason seemed to think. There must just be some kind of misunderstanding. He looked away. "I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean to talk about something bad." He began to pick at a scar. "I-I'll just be quiet now, I-I'm sorry for causing so much trouble."

Kason just smiled weakly in return, gently ruffling the fox's hair. "It's alright. You've done nothing bad. There is not need to apologize. Don't pick at your scar, it will start bleeding, alright? You shouldn't harm yourself. " He more or less realized it was for the best to treat Fisk as if he were made of glass, easily broken.

He also reached for his phone opening it to dial the taxi number but not yet calling until he made sure that Fisk stopped his habit. He seemed to do that whenever he was afraid so it wasn't a good sign.

Fisk stopped picking, pushing his hands into his pockets instead. "I-I'm sorry..." He felt so stupid, he really never noticed when he was picking at his skin. It made him feel like a child for needing to be reminded so often. His ears stayed flat as he waited for Kason to call the taxi.
