Hanta kept his guard up for that thing, he knew it had to be somewhere around here. He knew that at any moment this stake of his would be driven right through his chest. That vile thing would never drink anyones blood again. Hanta looked around at his immediate surroundings, stake gripped tightly in his right hand. Florence_Ashmore
All was silent accept for the crisp crunch, crunch, crunch, of the snow as the white haired male stepped down on it, Kei's hands were resting still at his sides as he walked. Blue eyes watched silently as a small white rabbit hopped into view, it paused for a moment as it sniffed the air then looked directly at him and froze in fear. At this, the vampire stopped and knelt down a few feet from it, reaching out slowly and carefully, he made a generally shoo'ing motion to get the animal out of it's frozen state of fear. To which it promtply shot off in the opposite direction. "Hm, they are all the same I suppose." He murmured softly to himself as he continued his pace once more, "If little creatures choose to venture out at night, they should be more prepared for what they may run into." He spoke, and almost as if right on que, he heard the crunch of slow steps further down up ahead. His curiosity peeked as he shifted slightly, adjusting his pace so that his own foot steps became silent. Once he was close enough, he pressed his back to the corner of the alley way that he could hear the steady steps from.Even though he could hear them, they sounded light, as if someone was trying to be silent. Peering around the corner, he saw the back of a figure, and upon closer inspection what looked to be a stake in the others hand. There were a few ways to handle this, but he chose his favorite. Clearing his throat, he stepped out behind the man a good 10 feet away and spoke. "Excuse me, but you appear to be lost. Would you like me to point you to the way out of town, or just escort you there myself?" He spoke, smiling softly at the man but making sure to bear his extended K9's as he did so to show the other exactly what kind of situation he was in now. The other looked and smelled like a hunter, and he was going to leave, dead or alive.
virtualoo
It was cold...way too damn cold and that put him at a small disadvantage. With it being cold, it might slow him down but he hoped the rush of adrenaline would help keep him alert and active. Even in the hunt for the creature, he could enjoy the scenery. The winter was always a beautiful and strange time. Full of endless sparkling white but devoid of most animal and plant life until the spring. It was more to look at during the day but at night...it was just asking for trouble. He hoped the crunching of snow might be to his advantage. It seemed he did not have to do much more work as he heard a voice behind him. It made him stiffen up at first but when he turned around, he saw it was the very target he was looking for. "The only escorting being done is escorting you back to the hell from where you spawned vampire.." He said, spitting in front of him and holding up his stake. This was it...It was either it or him. No turning back...
Florence_Ashmore
Kei's eyes widened slightly, taken off guard by the others choice of words, his eyes followed the mans spit at it landed into the snow, melting it in tiny little spots. So, this guy was going to be one of those hunters huh? Then again, it seemed like they all were now a days. There was a time where every once in a while, one would pop up and actually say or do something apart from the normal. His gaze flicked back up to the stake in the mans hands, down to the others gaze, though Kei's eyes remained neutral and soft and the smile did not drop from his face as he began to speak. "Well, for one thing, I can certainly assure you that I have never been to hell, and to be honest I haven't exactly heard great things about it so I do not intend to visit it anytime soon. "Ah, and before you charge at me with that annoying little twig, I have a proposition for you." As he spoke, he took a slow step towards the other and planted his foot, still keeping a safe distance. "How about this, if you can catch me, you kill me. But if I can catch you, then-" Without even a pause, he shot forward and jumped, pushing himself off of the alley wall and landing behind the other quickly. In an instant, he was behind the hunter. Reaching out his arms drapped lightly around the hunters neck and he whispered, "I can kill you." Not once did the soft smile leave his face as he kicked the other in the back hard enough to send him flying a few feet. Turning, Kei took off in the opposite direction. virtualoo
That creature just wants to taunt him! It was standing there all smug and smiling at him as if they were just having some kind and friendly chat. He had no intentions of being friendly and wanted to kill him and stain the snow with the colors of the creatures blood. But a vampires strength is rather strong...He should know this. Now all he had to do was- Hanta glared at the other when he suggested a proposition. Just what was he getting at? He stood his ground as the creature dared step a few more paces toward him. This creature was suggesting a game similar to cat and mouse? What was there to gain? Hanta loved the idea of a chase, surprised by the sudden leap to where he was suddenly behind him...he did not even have the time to turn and look at him. Hanta soon felt the weight of the others powerful kick to his back, sending him forward face first in the snow. The flakes clung to his hair as he winced trying to get up as fast as possible. Now this was a chase...! Makes this a whole lot more interesting. He took off in a run in the direction the vampire fled..
Florence_Ashmore
The world sped by Kei as his the tip of his toes touched the ground, one thing he never said he would do, was play fair. There were street lamps lighting the way, so with a quick push he dug his feet into the ground and shot up, landing on top of on carefully. Looking behind him, he could see the other running behind him and closing in. For a human, he had to admin the hunter was fast. Still, the game was no where near over. Turning towards the hunter he smiled wide and raised a hand up to wave at him before yelling, "Come on, come on Hunter! You wouldn't want me to get bored and find some damsel to munch on right?" Once he had finished, he turned quickly and pushed down on the lamp, crushing it under his feet and causing the fire to go out, then he jumped to the other and landed hard, the light went out again. He continued, in order to rid the street of all light as he ran. He'd spent a lot of time around humans, and despite having never been one himself he knew they couldn't see in the dark. Also, watching the hunter trip and stumble would just add to the fun. Once the last light on the street was out, he jumped down and quickly hid in the shadows of the darkness. Perhaps, just perhaps, this human would be more fun than he originally thought. A soft smile spread over his face, not once had he shown anything other than a soft expression. The snow once again began to fall, as Kei bent down and picked up a rock, tossing it in the air once, he caught it before throwing it directly at the hunters hand that was holding the stake. virtualoo
Hanta kept up the chase, not planning on giving up the chase anytime soon. He would pursue the other as long as it took until that thing was dead. When he finally got to a street lit by the light of a street lamp, he heard the others voice. Hanta looked up toward the street lamp and saw the smug bastard smiling and waving down at him. And to put him at even more of a disadvantage, there was nothing Hanta could do as he jumped from one street lamp to another, breaking them and thus putting out their lights. Now he was in the dark, slowly looking around and keeping an ear out for any noise. Hanta felt the sharp pain of the rock hitting his hand but barely managed to hold on. "Now I at least know where you are.." He smirked as he ignored the snowflakes falling into his eyes as he walked in that direction.
Florence_Ashmore
Kei leaned back against the wall as the human approached him, he could stand still and let the human try and stab at him, he could pick up a few more rocks and just start throwing them at the other until he stopped moving, he could all out attack the man, or he could run. Sliding down the wall slowly so he didn't make any noise, he reached down and got a handful of ice and snow. Smiling again, he stood his ground and waited for the human to approach, only once he was close enough did he throw the snow and sharp shards directly into the others face before using the opportunity to grap the others wrist that was holding the stake, his other hand grabbed the hunters other hand and he shoved him back, falling ontop of him and straddling his waste. Pale blue eye's peered down into the others face, keeping him from rubbing the snow and ice from his eyes. "I caught you," He spoke, though his voice seemed a bit duller now, like he'd lost interest in the situation already. "Why do you guys even do this, you know you are going to die in the end right? You are slow, dim-witted, and egotistical." He spoke, making no moves to attack the hunter beneath him just yet.
virtualoo
Hanta slowly approached, trying to be ready to at a moments notice pounce on the other. He thought he soon would be approaching the other when he was suddenly taken off guard. Hanta found a clump of ice and snow thrown at his face, eyes stinging from the ice shards in that clump of snow. His eyes were watering and he wanted to wipe them but found himself bound in place against the wall. The creatures hands held him in place, held against the wall. He was caught by his own prey... "You have to be willing to die to save people. If my life is ended and in the end I was able to save people, it will matter. Your goal is to end those who take lives like you" Hanta said, still able to see him enough despite the ice and snow in his eyes. He will not be a coward when he was staring death in the face. He could not even move his stake hand. So it seemed this was the end...
Florence_Ashmore
Kei watched the others face as he spoke, his gaze was set looking directly into the hunters eyes, looking for an signs of emotion or to see if the other was going to try and lie his way free. He'd heard it all, 'I wouldn't have really killed you', 'I have a family', 'If you let me go no one will ever hear of this!'. Though, there were a select few, 2 in fact, that had bravely accepted that they were going to die. This human however, even through watery, irritated eyes, his gaze didn't even flinch as he spoke. Kei's own smile dropped and his face went impassive, as all was silent for a moment. He let his gaze trail down, away from the others, to stop at the humans neck. Leaning forward he rested his head on the hunters shoulder without loosening his grip, and pressed his lips against the humans neck. His K9's extended slightly, and he pressed them into the huntes neck, but not firmly enough to break the mans skin. Still, he didn't so much as feel the man shake once. Suddenly, his grip on the hunters hand that wasn't holding the steak tightened harshly and he threw the hunter to the side, a good 15 feet from himself. His blue eyes were now bright red, and his K9's had extended all the way, but his face remained nuetral as he spoke. "Let me ask you, you who was just completely willing to throw there life away. Who did you save here tonight? Human, who was I attacking? You came here tonight, to my town, my home, and attacked me. Then you chose to pick your last words like you are some hero. You aren't, nevermistake that." His eyes narrowed as he glared at the hunter, for the first time his face showed something other than calm or amused. "You are nothing but your own kind of monster, a bully, someone who see's something and thinks kill it, kill it, kill it! Get out of my home!" He yelled finally, pointing towards the darkened road. virtualoo
Hanta was ready to die right then and there, just able to feel the others teeth on his neck. But as soon as he thought it would all be over, he found himself being thrown aside. He...was not bitten? Why? Surely that creature could have easily have made him his next meal right then and there. But here he was, still alive. He was thrown back to reality when the creature with now blood red eyes started spewing words about how he was the monster...how he was the bully. Hanta let out a groan of anger before shouting "Your kind didn't get out of my home when you killed my father! Your kind certainly didn't watch a child plead with them and watch their father bleed and mauled to death! I want to kill every last one of you so no one is hurt again! No one will suffer anymore..." Hanta stood there, far away from his only real means of weaponry against the creature.
Florence_Ashmore
Kei beared his teeth at the othe as he took two quick steps closer to the other before yelling back, "Your kind didn't care that my family was peaceful when you came for us! Your kind didn't care that my mother, father, and brother had long since stopped going after humans. Your kind didn't care when they set my house on fire, or drowned my brother in holy water while my mother watched! Your kind didn't listen as my mother wailed, it is your kind that are the monsters! I've never killed a human, and you dare come here and attack me? You assho-."His screams were cut off as his eyes widened, looking down, he saw an arrow protruding from his stomach. "You brought others." He hissed out at the hunter infront of him before turning around just in time to get another arrow right to the shoulder. That one hit him with enough forced to cause him to stumble back and fall backwards to the ground. Blood seeping out into the red snow around him, as he completely ignored the hunter he'd been arguing with. From the darkened street, a large red headed man with a cigarete sticking out of his mouth and a cross bow came towards the two, a smirk on his face. "Ah, Kei, I have heard a lot about you. You know, it's bad for your kind to stay in one place to long, isn't it? Looks like two hunters found you in one night, tsk, really unlucky for you kid." Raising his crossbow, he raised it directly as the white haired vampires head as his gaze flicked up to Hanta and he reguarded him crossly. "Thanks for keeping this one distracted, helped me out without even knowing it. This ones fast, so figured it would be a real pain to try and catch him myself. Then you waltzed in and did it for me. Remind me to pay you for your services."
virtualoo
That thing is painting me as the monster...and what kind of nonsense was he spewing? A vampire not killing humans? This very notion was ridiculous nonsense likely being spewed to prolong the time of his inevitable death. What on earth would make it even possess the idea to use such a crazy idea? Before he could even question the others logic, he heard the whiz of an arrow. Once it registered to Hanta, he looked down and saw an arrow protruding from the others stomach. Who was out there..?! Another hunter...Hanta thought as he saw someone with a crossbow approaching them. So its name was Kei... but this was of no importance to him now. He did not let himself get into this position just to have another hunter take his kill. "You are not taking what I worked for..." He glared at the hunter and went to push the others crossbow away from the vampire. Hanta then moved in between the hunter and the vampire. Florence_Ashmore
Kei's eye's narrowed as he heard the crunch of snow behind him moments before seeing the raven haired male step out from behind him and then in front of him. Kei turned his head to the side in order to spit out some of the blood that had gathered in his mouth before hissing out towards Hanta, "What you worked for? You were as good as dead five minutes ago." He spoke, meaning to sound condesinding but with the two arrows in him already he could barely voice his anger. His eyes began to shift from red back to icy blue but his K9's stayed out. He found himself looking up at the back of the first hunter and let out another string of curse words, realizing the situation he was in. The red haired male raised an eye brow at the other hunter, reaching up he took a hold of his cigarete and lowered it after taking a deep puff and stepping closer. Breathing the smoke out into Hanta's face, he spoke, "Well, I couldn't care less who kills it. just as long as it is dead in the next minute. Here" He spoke, before reaching down and unhooking a wooden stake from his leg and holding it out to the other hunter. "It can't run, the arrows were dipped in holy water. Not going to kill him, but good enough to put him out for the count for about 6 hours. Now hurry up, I have a schedual." Kei's eye's widened as he attempted to push himself up but just fell straight back to the ground panting. He felt like an animal, arrowed down and now two hunters fighting over who got to kill him. He'd been so careful all this time, and he was known as Kei the Calm. Because he let one human rile him up, he was going to die for it.
virtualoo
Hanta was not going to let himself be intimidated by this guy, barely squinting at the smoke being blown into his face. "You shut it" Hanta said to the vampire before looking back at the hunter. He was being given an easy opportunity to kill the vampire right here and now. He was not even able to move and he could drive a stake right through him here and now. This would all soon be over and he could be done with this whole thing. And yet... He could not do it. What was the point of killing it if he was brought down to helplessness by the others hand? No...He wanted to kill it himself by his own hand. "I will not kill what others helped take down. I will do this on my own.." Hanta went right to the vampire and slung him over his shoulder. "If you excuse me I will be leaving now.." He smirked as he started to run off with the vampire slung over his shoulder. ooc: debated on how to do this for awhile, wasn't sure what to do here XD
Florence_Ashmore
Kei pursed his lips together when the hunter told him to shut it, despite his usual smart come backs, now was really not the time to be arguing. Not that he really could, the hunter had not been bluffing, the arrows were clearly dipped in holy water. His fingers were begining to get numb, and his usually sharp vision was begining to blur. His breathing was definetly labored, reaching up he attempted to remove one of the arrows but found that his arms were just to heavy. His eye's began to shift back to red, then blue again, and he found himself unable to properly hear what was being said. He noticed a shift in front of him and looked up to see the hunter facing him, despite how certain the human had been in the face of death, he was not the same. He closed his eyes tightly as he prepared for the deafening blow, knowing there was nothing he was going to be able to do to stop it. However, the next thing he knew he felt an arm around his waist then the ground below him dissapeared. His eyes shot open to see the hunter that had shot him getting smaller in the distance. The wound in his stomach was pressed against the other shoulder and he cursed out, "Fuck, that hurts you know!" Despite his verbal protest he put up no struggle, even if he could right now, being with this hunter seemed like a better option than Mr. Crossbow back there. Through hooded eye's he could see the figure in the distant raising something, "The bow, he's going to shoot you!!" He yelled, more for his own sake than for the huntes but it was to late. Though his vision was pretty much out, he could hear it wiz threw the air and managed to get his hand up in time to grab it mid air, just before it could bury itself in the hunters head. He held it tightly in his shaky hand, "You owe me for that one." he murmured, his K9's slowly retracting as hooded icy blue eyes finally shut, as he passed out on the shoulder of a hunter. The hand that was holding the arrow went limp and the arrow that almost killed the human fell to the ground. Ooc:It is your Rp as much as mine, feel free to do whatever you like, xD. virtualoo
Hanta kept running as fast as his legs could carry him, not ready to stop. He probably just really pissed off an angry hunter who had a crossbow. He didn't quite think through his actions as he heard the vampire say the other was going to shoot him. Before he could say anything in retort or question him, the vampires hand went up and stopped the arrow from going into his head. The vampire...it saved him? He would die to either of them and yet he chose to stop the arrow from lodging itself in his brain? What did he get himself into here? Hanta kept running until he could find a place for them both to retreat too, finding a building in the area. He ducked quickly into it, setting the vampire down. Hanta also sat down, trying to stay awake to keep an eye on him. ooc: Don't worry XD I was just all 'Uhh...how do I react to this? Whengiven the opportunity to kill the enemy so easily?' Nope kill him, rp over the end XD
Florence_Ashmore
Kei shifted slightly, and let out a low groan as he body protested. He was throbbing, absolutely everywhere. He felt the hard ground beneath him as well, and slowly, blue eye's peered open. He found himself looking up at an unfamiliar cieling, he raised his arm slowly upwards to bring it into view only to see that it was soaked in blood. Then it all came back, arguing with the hunter, the arrows, the cross bow guy. Perfect, just perfect. Tilting his head to the side, he saw the human who'd run off with him sitting against the wall. "Wow, you look pretty exghausted." He mused out softly, the same smile he whore when he'd first laid eyes on the other returned to his face despite his current predicament. Slowly, he pushed himself up into a sitting position, with a lot more struggle than it was probably worth and brought his attention to the two arrows still protruding from him. Raising a pale hand up, he grabbed the end of the arrow in his stomach that was sticking out of his back since he'd been shot from behind, and attempted to yank it out. However he let out string of curse words as he found it didn't budge. He'd been bleeding and implanted with holy water. Which meant he couldn't do a thing about the arrows, without the half asleep humans help. His gaze flicked back up to t he other before he spoke, "I don't suppose you'd be willing to yank these suckers out for me? That, or you can let me bleed out here. Then again, you said you wanted to kill me yourself which won't be an easy task if I die by another hunters shot first, would it?"
virtualoo
Hanta snapped to attention when the vampire spoke soon after setting him down. He did not want to doze off especially now that the other was sitting up and more active. Hanta watched as the vampire tried to pull the two arrows from his body to no avail. It seemed that he would not be able to pull it out on his own. The vampire did make a point that if he were to bleed out here from the holy water arrows, this would all be for nothing and he wouldn't get the satisfaction of the kill. "Fine just...stay still" Hanta said as he stood up and walked over to him. Hanta bent down and gripped the arrow in his shoulder tightly. He tried to pull it out hopefully with one hard yank. Florence_Ashmore
Kei watched the other carefully as he stood up, he shifted himself slightly to prop himself up a bit more. When the human knelt beside him and gripped the arrow, he found that he could sense no malic from the man right now. Though before he could focus on that, his eye's closed tightly as he felt the arrow rip free from his skin. Vampires are good at pain, naturally they needed to be, however that hurt like a son of a bitch. He cried out and clasped a hand over his mouth to muffle it incase the red headed hunter was nearby. It took him a good minute before he could open his eye's again, his breath was coming in labored breaths as the blood began to seep down heavier now since the arrow was out. "Fucking hell, who was that guy." He grumbled softly, before reaching over and taking the hunters hand. Gliding it down, he leaned forward and put the mans hand to the second and last arrow. He wasn't concerned with being to polite now, he needed it out, his vision was begining to blur again. "Rip it out, if you do i'll be out for at least a few hours so you want have to worry about me eating you or anything and you can get some sleep too." After a moment, he collected himself, and looking more like a wounded animal than a fierce being he murmured, "Please, get it out."
virtualoo
It seemed even these unholy creatures could feel pain to some extent as he heard the muffled screams covered by the others hand. One arrow down and one more to go...Hanta thought as it was able to be seen that the vampire would soon pass out from the blood spilling out. He let his hand be guided to the other arrow, making swift work of removing the arrow. From what the vampire said, he would not bleed out and die so there seemed no need to cover the wounds with anything. He left the two arrows beside the vampire and went back to the wall. Hanta tried to stay awake but he had been hunting for hours as it is. He found his eyes drooping without him wanting them to...
Florence_Ashmore
Kei tried to brace himself for the pain, but this arrow was even worse than the last one on the pain scale, not even his hand could muffle the scream this time. However, as soon as both were out, he could barely feel the pain. Letting out a few low coughs he spit some of the collected blood out to the side before letting his head fall back and close his eyes for a moment. "Ah, shit." He murmured out softly, lifting his head again and glancing towards the only window in the room. "You could have tried to make it to a hotel or something." He murmured softly, using the wall to push himself up he held his hands up towards the other cautiously to show that he meant no harm, the ever soft smile finding it's way back on his face. Making his way over to the window, his whole body felt heavy. Unbottoning his long jacket, he slid it off his shoulders, it was heavy andspots were soaked in blood but it would work. He carefully used it to cover the window in case any sun threatened to peek in before heading back over to the wall he was at perviously and sunk back down in the spot he'd been sitting before. He was wearing a white button up shirt and dark pants. Tilting his head back again, he gazed over at the human impassivly. Reaching up he trailed a finger over the peircings in his ears like he usually did when he was tired. "Thanks for that, human. Please, try not to kill me until we've at least rested enough." He spoke, before using his arms to lower himself down so that he could lay on his stomach and rest his head on his arms, closing his eyes, the last thing he saw was the hunter before he lost himself to a deep sleep as his body finally began the regeneration process. virtualoo
"Fine...I accept these terms" Hanta said quietly as he looked over at the vampire. He wished he went to a hotel too for now he had to stay here and keep an eye on the vampire. Not the most ideal of sleeping conditions but it will now do. Hanta soon slowly started to nod off, trying to stay awake but this failing. All he could even see in his dreams was the vampire and the events of today. The blood in the snow...the teeth almost sinking into his neck...and the arrow he was saved from. Why....why?
Florence_Ashmore
It was a good five hours later before Kei finally found himself finding his way back to the world of the living, well, figurativly speaking. He felt the hard around beneath him and groaned softly as his eye's peered open again and he found himself looking straight at a sleeping human. The same human and hunter from last night. All was quiet, he glanced towards the window and could see that the dawn was begining to rise based off of the small amount of light filtering through his jacket that he'd hung up earlier. Pushing himself up, he sighed in annoyance as the world around him spun. His gaze rose back to the human, and he silently headed over towards the hunter. Kneeling down in front of him, he reached out and trailed his fingers over the hunters smooth neck. "Careless." He murmured softly, leaning in he breathed in the humans scent and smiled against the others skin. "I'm sorry, but I need real rest and i'm not healing properly like this. Don't worry, i'll drain you enough to make sure you won't put up a fight, then get us both somewhere safe. " He murmured to the sleeping human before his eye's shifted back red and his K9's extended. Then, his fangs dug into the humans neck, his hand shot up to cover the others mouth to make sure if he woke up he wasn't going to scream or fight.
