Once he had finished his toast, Nova stole a glance from the boy and noticed the bright and warm smiled radiating from him. He had assumed that he must have been very hungry to feel that happy when eating, continuing to eat his meal and finished his toast as well as eating the crust though he disliked the taste, having learnt not to be picky about his food. Soon enough, he had started eating his yoghurt, pretty much indulging himself in the mixture of sweetnees of the fruit that was included in it as well as the sourness of the yoghurt. Though, he managed not to show it and his tray got emptied that quick. Looking at the time once more, he turned his head to the side and wondered whether the boy had finished as well.

Mac did love his food, and always found happiness when eating, no matter what it was he was eating. His egg was great, probably being the best egg he'd eaten in months. Maybe even the first egg he'd ever eaten in months. The waffles were even better and soon his tray had been cleaned off. The only thing left being some of the liquids of the syrup and egg yolk. He had a feeling that someone was looking at him and looked over to find Nova looking at him from the corner of his eye. Mac smiled at him before looking for the time somewhere. He caught the wall clock and found it was nearly time for class. "Ah, I guess we should probably get going right?"

When Mac's smiles had been aimed to the food all the time, Nova was actually taken aback when he had finally directed it at him. The boy mentioning that class was nearing was what had snapped him back to just dumbly staring at the other, shaking his head slightly though he had attempted a nod. Brushing of the mistake, he abruptly stood up and had made his plates clatter with the yoghurt cup though they were safe for harm. His walking posture was a bit clumsy and had finally let the tray into the bin of the cafeteria, sighing as he wondered what had happened just then. He did not feel feverish or any of its symptoms, positive that he was not sick. His was facing the exit, pondering to himself.

Mac wasn't sure how to take the others quietness. He hoped that it was just how he was, and not because he couldn't stand Mac. Pulling at his sleeve like Mac had done prior would be something to annoy him. He tried to shake it off and followed Nova as thy returned their trays to the food station and left them. Nova had put his down first and turned away from the station in his own thoughts. Mac followed suit and placed his down gently not first before slightly bumping into someone gently as they cut in to put their tray down first. They gave Mac a look that had him creeping away. He turned back to Nova and stammered. "S-so um, class right....do we have the same one?"

A bit too deep in his thought, Nova was once again startled by the boy though not too much since his voice was much softer yet nervous. This time, he really meant it by shaking his head left and right before starting to walk as he had motioned at him. "No. Most of them at least. We will be in the same lecture hall on the fourth period." He calmly explained however slightly frantic since he was not completely himself today for unknown reasons, steadily heading for the school's building. He remembered in his first year that all of his class was focused on just one thing about the students' magic. Control. The second year was similar though a bit advanced, he himself had already reached his third year. He stopped once they had reached the boy's classroom, noticing that some of the student's eyeing at them but was used to ignoring it. Looking at the boy, he was not sure whether he was comfortable with getting the same attention.

Mac seemed a little sad at this fact, but he figured he would have to put up with it. He was a first year at this school, nothing like Nova who had been here loner then him. "Oh, okay." At least Mac would be able to see if for some of his classes. It would help ease his nerves if he at least knew one person in his class. Both had seemingly fell silent as they walked on, Mac more so interested in the interior of the school building as he was with everything else. Soon enough they reached the class room where Mac's first class would be. He almost bumped into Nova had he not looked when he did. He stopped and turned towards the classroom only to find they the students that were there were staring at him, or them, depending on how you looked at it. His arm twitches at his side, and he brought his other one up to hold it steady at his elbow. The last time he'd seen so many eyes looking at him was more then a year ago. He was truly uncomfortable and found himself wanting to leave before anymore could happen.

Nova cleared his throat as he was ready to depart, adjusting himselves and thought of heading to where his own lessosn will be held. Though he was about to leave, he still found the boy not even moving an inch to enter the classroom. He had guessed that the other would be pretty nervous in this new environment, accompanied by the fact that the other students was practically treating him like some kind of caged animal with all the looks. He gave them a glare and the students were quick to avert their attention away, doing their own things as his eyes returned to Mac. "Class will be starting soon. You shouldn't dally." He reminded in an effort to be as gentle as he could be though the difference was not too significant to those who were not exactly paying attention.

Despite the cold stares of the other students, Mac was unable to look away from them. Perhaps he was just too shocked to do so. However, he hadn't noticed the glare Nova cast upon the students that caused them to look away. Mac hoped they had just lost interest in him, deciding that his reaction wouldn't suffice enough as entertainment for them. He heard Nova's voice next to him though, and managed to look at him then. "Oh, right. Thanks for showing me to my classroom." His smile though gentle, still claimed an awkward twitch to it.

Sensing the smile had been different with him not being so affected by it, Nova only ignored the odd detail and gave Mac a nod. With that, he left the boy alone and head off to his own classroom. Taking his seat, he was a diligent kind of student that took notes and gave his full attention to the class once it had began. Lessons after lessons, the fourth period had finally arrived as most of the students were needed to have their class in their lecture halls which were sorted on which dorms they reside in thus it was very much different from being with their classmates. He was about to head into it himself, the other students crowding on both entrance made had made him quite uncomfortable and thus waited until they had cleared up a bit.

Mac watched as Nova left. He had remained in his spot well after Nova had even left his eye sight. He took a few deep breaths, but still found it hard to walk in. It wasn't until someone ran past him, nearly knocking him over did he decide to go and sit down. He found a seat well in the back closest to the window as possible. The class wasn't all that big, so when class had started no one really sat next to him. His second class went by and luckily the only thing that changed was his professor. Third class came along and after getting directions from another professor found himself sitting once more in the back of the class. When fourth period came along, again after having needed directions, Mac found himself standing just outside one of the two entrances to the lecture hall. Students were pushing their way in. But Mac decided to stand and wait until he was given the chance.

Nova soon noticed Mac in front of one of the entrances, seemingly not even attempting to enter and approached him carefully. Looking around there, he assumed that the new student had yet to make any friends though he believed it will happen eventually. He tapped the boy on his shoulder, making sure he was aware of his presence before speaking. "Would you like to sit together as well?" He inquired with a bit of curious tone in his voice, pulling his hand away soon after before eyeing at the entrance that had less and less students coming in. The lecturer was usually the one to be last, not seeing the sight of her as he had recognized the woman very well along the years.

Mac was waiting for a moment to be able to step into the hall when a tap was felt on his shoulder. He hesitated a moment, but he looked over to find Nova standing next to him. Mac was put at ease when he found the other and followed with a smile. "Yeah, that would be great. If you don't mind, of course." Mac didn't want to bother the other, but he felt oddly comfortable with Nova more so then with anyone he had before, even his own family.

And there was that smile again that had oddly made his mind going blank for a brief second, trying to not look at the boy too much as he averted his eyes completely away from him. Nova found the chance for the both of them to enter, instinctively guiding the other as usual. The hall benches were connected and curved around the room, him having found enough room for the both of them though at the furthest back. He gestured him to follow suit, sitting a bit in the middle and he brought out the materials to take notes.

Mac waited for the other, finding it easier to be a follower in this case then a leader. He had come to rely on the other student, despite only knowing him for half a day and a few minutes the night before. But to Mac it felt right. Nova made his way into the hall, making Mac to follow him until they reached the farthest side of the room and sat down, Nova sat on Mac's right side, leaving a spot for someone to sit on his left. And someone did. A female student who offered Mac a smile. Mac tensed at her smile and turned away. Staring down at his hands rather then her or anything else.

Nova could not help but observed the exchange that took place at his left side, mostly getting the impression that Mac was some shy kid yet he found it a bit adorable. He bit his lip to have that thought passed through his head when normally he would use those terms for small animals while Mac is a human and a male one at that. As the school had only left little gaps for the students, the lecturer soon entered amd began her lesson. He could not help but be distracted with the person beside him, carefully stealing glances from him. His handwriting had turned to sloppy from being very neat compared to his previous notes, not realizing the fact and continued jotting down the important points he received.

Mac hadn't yet supplied himself with the proper supplies he needed for school. He was going to do that as soon as he got the chance. So far in all his classes he was using a small recorder he had. Luckily for him the classes were small enough he was able to record the professors voice through it. But in the lecture hall it was impossible. He fidgeted from time to time in his seat, unable to do anything. He'd most likely remember half of the lecture but the entire thing. The girl to his left brushed across his arm as she moved in her seat. Mac flinched and moved closer to Nova, nearly leaning against his arm just the same.

The boy beside him scooted himself even closer made Nova's eyes wide, unable to really do anything about it since the lecture hall was bound to be cramped and this situation was not different. Still, he could not help but be disturbed by the fact that Mac was leaning too close for comfort. He wanted to ignore it but it was a bit too much to concentrate on the lessons anymore, mentally scolding himself for being so affected by the boy. He had soon finally noticed his lack of stationary, carefully ripping off a paper and lending him a spare pencil as well. Hoping that will make the other not cling too much, it was the least he could do since the lecturer had still continued her bable on who knows what anymore.

Mac hadn't noticed exactly how close he was to Nova. He just sat there, staring down at the table while at least listening to the lecture. He hoped the female student didn't notice the way he moved away from her. It would only cause trouble if she thought badly of him. Suddenly he heard the ripping of paper and found a sheet being placed out in front of him, along with a pencil. Mac blinked once and turned to Nova who had gone back to watching the professor. Mac smiled and with his left hand began writing down things he had remembered so that he wouldn't forget them. By the time he finished the professor was back on track with the topic then just babbling away.

Nova gave Mac a small glance, seeing him happily write down something though did not bother to peek. He continued the note taking until the lesson had finished, sighing at his terrible handwriting before closing the book and ought to redo it, fortunately it was tangible enough to read. All the other students were packing, ready to leave as soon as the lecturer did, getting of their seats and then exited one by one. Nova soon stood up himself, nodding at the boy beside him. "I'll be going then." He murmured to him though he did not feel like living the boy, looking at the female student that he seemed so afraid of before returning his eyes to him.

Mac wrote down what was necessary to write. With only a single piece of paper there wasn't much he could wright. His notes, though messy to someone else, were above grade for Mac. He could choose a word and know exactly what it was referring to with in the notes on his paper. When the lecture was over he folded up the paper and slipped it into the front pocket of his uniform. The pencil as well, thinking Nova was allowing him to use it, at least for the rest of the day. He felt movement as his right and noticed as Nova stood up to leave, even stating he was. "O-oh, right. Okay then. I'll see you later maybe." Mac smiled up at Nova and made no attempt to move, waiting for the girl to his left to leave and the rest of the room empty. Perhaps he'd be late for his next class. But he felt it better then bumping into someone on accident.

Nova was able to take a peek at the boy's paper, seeing a few words that had not makr much sense to him. He did not mind about lending him the pencil, giving it away even as he noticed him keeping it away. The smile made him more reluctant to move his legs, feeling like they had turned to pillars that just support him to stand. Though, his expression remain firm and somewhat angrier than he had meant to control himself from creeping him out. After a while did he turned around to the other side, getting out of the benches of seats. He left the lecture hall however he did glance behind to get just one last look of Mac, briskly walking away to his next class.

Mac continued to smile at the other even well after Nova had walked away. Mac was concerned about the look he had received and hoped it wasn't directed towards his behavior. If so, Mac would make sure to calm himself. If that were even possible. Nova left then and so did the girl on the other side of him. He looked back at the girl, surprising her with a faint smile which she returned before leaving. Mac was now the last one in his row and decided he should be okay to head to his next class. He hadn't noticed the others glance as he stood up and began heading out the other entrance to his own class.

Classes went as usual for Nova though his mind will sometime wonder about Mac and what he is doing at the moment, unable to exactly remove the boy from his mind. After the end of the day, he had a meeting with the council and head to the room which was quite massive and each member had seperate roles. His was student's affairs, not by choice however did not really to mind. The topic of the new student was brought up which he accidentally made a few stutters during his report. Though unusual, the council did not seem to notice and continued on with the meeting. The only information he received about the boy were the basics; full name, birthdate, blood types and such. Nothing about magic and abilities. Those sort of things are usually kept a secret unless the student themselves had agreed to reveal them. Remembering that he had yet to give a tour, he requested a certain council member to use his magic and locate him. He approached him in the evening, hoping the person did not mind on doing it this late.

Classes ended surprisingly well for Mac. He jotted down some notes on the paper that Nova had gave him where still had room. However he went right back to using his recorder at other times. During one class, after managing to sit next to a window, he had a hard time ignoring the little bird that was persistent in trying to talk to him. He got some stares from his fellow classmates and soon found himself ignoring the bird for the rest of class. Mac was now heading back to the dormitory, shoulders heavy from exhaustion. The day wasn't hard, but all of his tensing up and getting nervous had made him way too tired. He found himself stopping at one of the large trees that provided a large space of shade. Sitting against the trunk it wasn't long before he managed to actually fall asleep. What he wouldn't know is all the birds and even a mouse or two that had decided to come join him and surround him in a half circle. Some of the birds even rested on his shoulders or head. A rabbit found its way into his lap.

Having seeing the sight where animals surrounded him completely, Nova was not really sure whether Mac was even there and went closer with full awareness. He soon found out that the boy was sleeping soundly among the woodland creatures, unsure whether it was fine to disturb him. Sleeping outside compared to on his own bad has its downsides, wanting to somehow wake him up. However, noticing the rabbit's eyes, he suddenly found the urge to pet it as his body stiffened to restrain himself. Clearing his throat a bit more obviously, he called the boy's name out in a stern yet subtly nervous manner. "Mac Donahue." He managed though his sight remained on the fuzzy animal on the other's lap, unable to really take his eyes off it as he forced his hands behind his back.
