Boil the contents of water over medium heat. When the water reaches the boiling point, add the two cinnamon sticks and boil for 5 minutes. 2. Turn off the heat, cover and let stand for 5 minutes for the flavor concentrate more. 3. You can sweeten with sugar or honey. 4. With a splash of milk tastes much better. Until next time... crystald Posted October 13, 2016 Author Share Posted October 13, 2016 Chocolate Atole Makes 6 servings YOU WILL NEED: - 7 cups milk - 4 tablespoons cornflour (cornstarch) - 3/4 cup cocoa powder - 1 can of sweetened condensed milk or sugar to taste PREPARATION: 1. In a medium saucepan place only 6 cups of milk. Bring to medium heat on the stove. 2. Meanwhile, in a glass or bowl combine remaining milk (1 cup) along with the cornflour (cornstarch), cocoa powder and stir well. 3. Add milk to the pan, along with sweetened condensed milk, or instead, add sugar to taste. 4. With a whisk, or with the help of a spoon, continue to stir well, taking care not to spill. Gradually it will take something thicker consistency. 5. When it has thickened a little and release the first boil, reduce heat and continue stirring until you have taken a thicker consistency. 6. crystald Posted October 29, 2016 Author Share Posted October 29, 2016 Fruit Punch (Hot) This is best in december but delicious all year. When you're feeling nostalgic this works like a charm. Ingredients: (7 cups) - 1 kg apple + 1 apple - 1 orange - 1/2 lemon + 1 slice of lemon - 3 tablespoons brown sugar - 10 cloves - 1 cinnamon stick - 5 cups of water PREPARATION: We must prepare fruits for blender. 1. Clean apples (minus one that will be reserved for later) discarding the heart and seeds. 2. Peel the orange and lemon removing the seeds. 3. Chop the fruit and liquefy (add the water). 4. In a saucepan put the juice obtained, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. 5. Place the saucepan over low heat, hot but let it to boil, then removing it and let stand about 2 hours minimum. 6. Before serving, clean the last apple and cut into wedges. 7. Return the saucepan and add the apple slices and lemon slice; let hot but not boiling. 8. Remove the cinnamon stick. Serve hot in cups. crystald Posted November 15, 2016 Author Share Posted November 15, 2016 ALMOND AND CHOCOLATE COFFEE (For those cold nights or rainy afternoons) 4 servings of 1 cup each • 1/4 cup half-and-half cream • 1 ounce of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped • 2 tablespoons of sugar • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract • 4 cups instant coffee, made and hot • 1/2 cup whipped cream First mix the first 4 ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until the chocolate has melted and the mixture has finished heating. Then pour 1 cup of coffee into each of 4 bowls. Add the chocolate mixture by adding about 1-1/2 tablespoons in each bowl. Finally decorate each cup of coffee with a little whipped cream. Place the black tea in a tea ball (If you don't have a tea ball you can put it directly in the water and then strain out later). 3. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes for the flavor to concentrate. 4.
