Nevu
Character Yoshin Hanaka Meaning: Quiet Flower Child Age: 19 Sex: Male Height: 6'1 S/O: Gay Position: Seme/Meister Appearance Thin above the wasit baby pink hair which is usually pulled back into a loose ponytail. Dark red eyes that brighten when excited. A slim, pale figure with lightly toned muscles and very little (dark pink) bodily hair. Personality Though Yoshin comes off as very reserved and poised, he is anything but. As a teachers aid, he has developed this demeanor. In reality, he is a very shy, warm-hearted young man who cares only for the well being of his students and loved ones. Yo is a very open minded yet simple and has little to no dislikes. He enjoys small things like herbal teas, knitting, gardening, birds, and short boys with short tempers. Background Yoshin's tale begins with a lonely witch by the name of Taiyo, living along a fishing shore in Otaru Japan. Her years of witchery had ended, and she had taken body and soul of an old fisherwoman to blend back into society. Feeling ambitiousless and deprived, she decided to use her magic to create a human baby boy. In the middle of creating his soul, her formula had mixed up with one of a demon's and gave Yoshin a demonly appearance (hence his red eyes). Because of this, he was homeschooled and kept away from most public places. With a little help of his mum's magic, he basically became prodigy. Around the age of 14, he discovered the DWMA and expressed to his mother that he'd like to become a teacher there. She accepted with an open mind, and five years later Yoshin was accepted into the DWMA as a teacher's aid with a 365 day apprenticeship. RolePlay "Yoshin... Yoshin! Wake up kiddo" "Huh,- huh! Oh, professor!" The pink headed boy fumbled awake upon a pool of his own drool. This was the second night this week he had fallen asleep at the DWMA, reviewing Prof. Stein's class assignments. As a teachers aid, Yoshin had to learn how to grade and assess assignments and tests. What fun. "Surely you've finished them by now, eh?" "Yes, Professor. I completed them." Yoshin shuffled the papers back into a straight pile and gently dabbed at the drool stain with his sweater. Shamefully, he handed the papers to the Professor. Stein gave the young man a chuckle and pat on the shoulder. He wasn't always terrifying. "I'm sorry, yet happy to conduct this as the last day of your apprenticeship. Death has developed a new path for you." Yoshin felt his heart skip a beat. He blasted up out of his seat in shock. He had another ninety days worth of shadowing the Professor, why would Death cut it short? Yo's shoulders trembled and he opended his mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by stein again. "Now, I know what your thinking. Believe me, it's a good thing." He still couldn't help but feel nervous. Yoshin pulled his sweater over his hands, trying his best to stop himself from vibrating. "He's been watching over you, and believes that you've already proved yourself to us. You're expected in the Death room as soon as possible." Yoshin bowed and grabbed his satchel before quickly exiting the room. He felt as if his whole body went up in flames. What could possibly be good about cutting his apprenticeship short? For the first time in the DWMA, he kept his head down and walked hastily to the death room, ignoring all the students who called to him. --- He stood outside the doors for a brief moment, bracing himself before pushing them open. The first thing he noticed was the amount of energy in the room. It somehow calmed him down, or rather, resonated with him. The longer he walked down the hallway in the open-skyed room, the heavier the energy felt, nearly pulling him towards the end. Once there, the first thing Yoshin noticed was the short boy sitting on the steps to Death's platform. He looked disheveled, angry, and quite cute to Yo's standards. "Yo-yo! You've made it!" The goofy principle clapped his hands together and gestured for Yoshin to come up onto the platform. Disregarding the boy and realizing his anxiety, he quickly hopped up the steps, nearly stumbling over himself. "You're months here as a student teacher have been exemplary, Yoshin. It is safe to say that Professor Stein and I are very proud of how far you've come in such a short time. For this, I'd like you to become a teacher here immediately, starting with this student." Yoshin's worry suddenly turned into feelings of pride. A big toothy smile spread wide across his face and with two hands he shook Death's much, much larger hand. He could barely form words. "W-wow! Thank you so much Mr. Death Sir!" Death chuckled, and Yo could only imagine a smile on his face under the skull mask. "Your objective is to turn this boy into a death scythe. Once you've collected ninety-nine human souls and one witch, you'll be free to come back to the Academy! Toodles!" There was no time to disagree before Death snapped his fingers and teleported the boys outside of the DWMA. This all happened so fast -- Yoshin wasn't sure where to start. "That was.. strange." He swallowed sharply and turned to his 'student', blushing in the lightest. The harsh energy seamed to follow from inside of Death's room. He realized then whom the energy was omitting from. "Your soul must be huge. Your energy levels are overwhelming." Yo looked the boy up and down, unrealising how rude he must have seemed. "Oh, do pardon me! I am Mister Hanaka! I-- uh, suppose I'm your meister now!"
WolfDog12
Name: Takeo Hideki (First, Last) (Takeo means "Violent/Warrior boy") Age: 17 (Nearly 18) Gender: Male Height: 5'3 Position: Uke/Weapon Appearance: He has soft, shorter, brown hair that seems to be in his face almost all the time. His eyes are so bright blue they always look like they're glowing even though they never are. Takeo is always wearing a hoody and bandages around his face completely covering the lower half of his face. It is never shown to anyone as to why. Personality: Takeo has a very foul and monstrous personality. He always looks pissed off and he got angry at the drop of a hat. He is quick to change his arm or leg into his scythe blade and try to cut someone in half or even just leave with their head. He hates when people patronize him or constantly berate him on his height. Use to it, Takeo will handle a little teasing but if they try to bully him fully or take things too far or something, he will probably stab them. Background: Takeo was always a very demonic child ever since he was born. When he was really little, he had a bad encounter with a witch and got a bit more demonic in a sense. Hence the bandages on his face all the time hiding basically shark teeth and his torn cheeks to sort of show them off. Of course, no one knows about this because Takeo has never and will never show anyone what's behind the wrappings. At around 13, he was just walking around his house when he suddenly fell flat on his face and looked down to find his leg had turned into a scythe blade. It took some time to learn control but he figured it out and went to the DWMA right away. The boy was quick to prove himself and has a suffocating soul that left him without a meister for some time. Of course, because of the fact that he didn't have a partner, Takeo was forced to take really bad classes about how to control your transformations... Needless to say he spent a lot of time with lord death for trying to kill his teachers. It was hard to find anyone that was a match for Takeo and he continued about his rampaging. While he doesn't take much and leaves that to his actions, he clearly was then left without any friends. Now he was told he needed a meister or he'd never get anywhere. The teacher was just droning on and on about control and what it would be like if the weapons actually had meisters... how annoying. It was clear from the loud tapping of his foot, which sounded like metal hitting the floor due to a small bit of his heel turned into a blade, Takeo was done listening and ready to just attack or something. He was showing some of the best restraint he'd shown in his life so far as the short boy continued to tap away irritably. Just as the teacher turned to yell at Takeo, she was quickly interrupted when the door was opened and Spirit, Death's scythe, stepped in. In his serious voice, he stared Takeo down. "Takeo Hideki, lord death wants to see you in the death room right now," he stated. "What?!" Takeo stood up and knocked his chair over and with a hiss in his throat he growled, "I haven't done anything wrong yet today." "You're not in trouble. Now, let's go," Spirit demanded. As they stood there, the class stared and anything could be better than having to sit and listen to the professor the whole time. Takeo growled to himself and walked away just leaving the chair that he knocked over on the floor. He just couldn't think of why Lord death would want to see him. As he left the room, everyone in the class felt a weight lifted off them.. no one ever understood why it was like that. It wasn't long before they made it to Lord Death's room. It was huge and spacious yet, Takeo always felt like he was suffocating probably because the only he came here was to be hit and yelled at by their unusual principal and his weapon... They walked over to the steps and Spirit told Takeo to just sit and wait there. He wanted to demand to know what was going on but he sat on the stairs and waited for whatever was to happen. It took ten minutes before anything started happening when a strange man came in, with pink hair and red eyes. The shorted male gave him little attention and just sat there on the stairs waiting irritably for Lord death who didn't even greet him. Of course, the principal did greet the pink haired boy that came in... Wait, Takeo had seen him before... He was the guy that was always shadowing that Professor Stein. Was he going to tutor Takeo in manners or something? He listened in on the conversation from where he sat only to be taken completely by surprise to hear that he was going to be turned into a death scythe by this student teacher. It was hard to tell if Takeo was excited or not but he was on his feet in seconds staring at the two... well, that quickly became one when they found themselves suddenly outside. 'I have a meister? I finally have a meister?!' Internally, Takeo was jumping for joy and wanting to just run around and finally collect all the human souls and that witch. However, externally, he was just standing there not really paying attention with a rather neutral face on. As the student teacher introduced himself and commented on Takeo's unusually large soul, the weapon glared a bit up at the other who was nearly a foot taller than him... crap... "I'm Takeo Hideki, a weapon. I'm not calling you Mister... You're barely older than me... Also, I don't trust you if you can't pick me up or tell me your first name." With that, Takeo just waved to him and started to walk away. This student teacher looked like a weakling. Could he really wield a scythe?
Nevu
"I'm Takeo Hideki, a weapon. I'm not calling you Mister... You're barely older than me... Also, I don't trust you if you can't pick me up or tell me your first name." Yoshin internally slapped himself. He wasn't teaching this boy, he was his partner! The kids here had been calling him Mister for so long, only other teachers used his first name, which was not often. "Ah, of course. I-uhm, I apologize." Yo twirled his delicate hair around his finger nervously, following the shorter male. "M-My name is Yoshin, Yoshin Hanaka. You can call me Yo for short, s-seeing as we'll have to get to know each other if I want to wield you.." He concentrated hard on not stumbling over his words. He had a stuttering problem as a child, and it seemed to erupt when he was in situations that gave him anxiety. Studying Takeo, he began to wonder. He hadn't had time to completely analyze him before, but now that he did, he had questions. Yoshin pondered about the weapon's mouth bandage, and admired his bright sense of style (something he found hard to conquer). "Maybe we should g-get to know each other? I may not be the most interesting person, but you seem to be." He felt a bead of sweart roll down the right side of his face. Is was scolding hot on the DWMA terrace. Why had Death sent them outside, anyways? They'd need to go back in to get a mission.
WolfDog12
"Yo?" he questioned the name a bit but didn't really say anything about it. Takeo brushed off the nick name for a minute and stopped walking to face the other. "Look, I don't want you to know about me. You know my name, isn't that enough? I'm not all that special," he stated flatly. However, that all just really meant that Takeo didn't want Yo snooping into his past or anything. There were dark things in there that no one should learn. "If you can't take the weight then leave me alone." It would be impossible to understand what he meant when he said something like this but then, Takeo held out his hand towards Yo. He would fully transform for the first time in what felt like forever and if this student teacher couldn't take it, he would leave and collect all those souls by himself and become a death scythe without a meister. It wasn't like it hasn't happened before. There were rumors of a death scythe by the name of Justin that had done it some time back. That's probably how he should have started but despite his looks and mean attitude, Takeo did want a partner and wanted to be a duo... Not a single fighter... That would just be boring. Taking a calm breath, the weapon stared at the other with his bright blue eyes. "I'll make a deal with you; if you can resonate souls with me perfectly within the next three days, then I will tell you more about myself and we can go for lunch and just have a stupid talk about ourselves..." Despite the tough guy act here, he actually did want to go for lunch and be able to talk. Of course, there was no way he would admit that or anything so he kept his glare and straight face without breaking.
Nevu
Yoshin was becoming slightly annoyed with Takeo's attitude. Sure, he was cute, but his intimidating demeanor made the pink haired man feel subordinate. Not to mention his angry energy. Yo wanted this to work out ever so badly. He couldn't fail at his dream of almost six years! "If you can't take the weight then leave me alone." Yo was nearly baffled by Takeo's statement. He looked at him for a quick moment in annoyance. Hesitantly, he grasped the weapon's hand. "You weight doesn't matter if we can't resonate, though. I am insulted that you'd judge me by my looks, seeing as we're going to HAVE to work together." 'No, no, no! This is a horrible way to start a relationship! You have to be kind if you want to resonate with this kid!' Yoshin scolded himself angrily. Where had his filter gone? "I'll make a deal with you; if you can resonate souls with me perfectly within the next three days, then I will tell you more about myself and we can go for lunch and just have a stupid talk about ourselves..." Yoshin smiled and sighed thankfully, his grip loosening on Takeo's hand. "Well, I apprectiate you trying to level with me. It seems your aren't as rude as you make yourself to be." Finally, Yoshin's hand fell back down to his side, and he wiped it against his pant leg. In the past minute the booming energy seemed to settle slightly, which made Yo hopeful that things may work out. "Are you sure you don't want to start talking now, though? We need to discover strategies of creating positive energy so we can resonate, right?" That's when Yo remembered. His so claimed 'partner' hadn't received proper schooling, so how should he have known that? The Meister wasn't trying to force Takeo to talk to him, but he did want to get their missions done as soon as possible. Despite being sheilded by his mother almost all his life, Yoshin was a goal setter and go-getter type of guy. If he wanted something done, he would get it done. Hence the sleepless nights spent at the DWMA.
WolfDog12
"You weight doesn't matter if we can't resonate, though. I am insulted that you'd judge me by my looks, seeing as we're going to HAVE to work together." That was the first time he had ever heard someone close to his age actually call him out and go against him. Usually, only the adults could deal with Takeo and here this kid was, about a year and a half his senior, was already telling him off. They continued their conversation... well, mostly Yo went on and on while Takeo stayed quiet. Once he was finished though, Yo had dropped his hand and only wanted to go somewhere and talk. Of course, the weapon couldn't accept this and kept his hand up. "Look, When the year started and all the meisters are out picking their weapons, several came over to me excited that I was a scythe but every time I transformed or whatever, they found it impossible to resonate with my soul enough to even be able to lift me claiming that I'm too heavy. They described the experience as having their soul oppressed..." Man did he hate long explanations. However, this was vital information as to why he was pushing this. After that, Takeo pressed his hand out farther hoping Yo would take it and wait for him to transform or would leave and prove that there was no meister that could handle him. Heck, at least Lord Death would accept him when he became a death scythe because he was actually a scythe.... He may not take Spirit's place but it wasn't that he wanted to... or maybe he did... Honestly... Takeo just wanted a place to belong. The weapon continued to wait until his hand was take and when it was, he actually smiled under the bandages and transformed into his weapon form. The scythe leaned against the ground for a moment as he waited and watched Yo try and scoop him up. While Takeo's soul was calmer now, there still seemed to be so much of it and it was extremely present. Still, it seemed to be looking for a challenger waiting to be able to resonate and control him. In a distant voice that was normal when in weapon form, Takeo said, "Just try to resonate enough to be able to pick me up. If you can do that, then we will get to know each other and learn all about how to resonate in a way where we can actually fight together."
