Guest Eornostlice
Name: Laurie Walcott Age: 20 Physical appearance: Laurie is much on the tall side, standing at 187 cm, his built however being what one can call skinny. His hair -in a very light shade of brown- is kept fairly short, only long enough to reveal a few wavy locks that always seem to cover his intense blue eyes. Bio: He comes from a happy family, his father being a stay-at-home man that takes care of the chores and his mother being a layer; he does not have any siblings. Laurie had been born with a congenital heart disease, meaning he spent a long time in hospitals as a general rule, his entire body being rather frail. He is unable to do any sort of sport as it would worsen his condition. Even so, the brunette never allowed anything to get him down. He knew. His parents were suffering. They always worried and never held back on wasting large amounts of money in hopes of finding a hospital that could help, not giving up even if he himself already had. He went through several surgeries up until this point. That is why he smiles. He smiles because he likes seeing happy faces, instead of sad ones. He gets scared and feels hopess at times but chooses to bear that sort of burden alone. In the end, he simply wishes to make other people happy, making them remember him as someone bright... Because he is aware his life could come to a sudden end even in a matter of hours. Extra: He is forced to take his medicine at set times everyday. A brunette with bright eyes walked slowly in the fairly crowded streets, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He was excited and everything seemed to be particularly colorful. It was morning, only one hour away from the event he'd been patiently waiting for months now, for the one thing he had studied for whenever he had the strength to. If anything more, he could not help but feel nervous, feel as if he'd be walking to the first grade's classroom while holding his mother's hand once more. The day had started in a perfect way. There was no sudden pain in his body, no feeling of weakness, only simple child-like excitement filling him to the brim. He did not think of the delicious pancakes he got to enjoy in the morning nor did he think about his father's worried face, his mind set on only one thing as the sun seemed to caress his face. Halfways through the school year, he had gotten the doctor's OK. He could try and lead a perfectly normal lifestyle, with no more needles and medical equipment constantly surrounding him, now depending only on a handful of pills. Was it really that silly? Being elated that he could be "normal", starting with attending college. Laurie looked at the building in front of him once more, taking in the sight for future memories, not rushing as he walked in. He'd been told to personally visit the dean in order to receive his classes' schedule, the task no longer being in the current duties of a secretary. With caution, he made his way through the building, his eyes scanning the walls and people as he passed by.
M-jow
Name: Kelvin Marwood Age: 20 Physical appearance: Kelvin, standing at 168 cm, are built is skinny with warm golden skin . His hair is a little curly going down to his cheekbones, a light amber color, glowing blond in the sunlight. He dresses deliberately, not to attract attention, but he is the type who looks good in everything. His eyes is a light bluish gray. Bio: Kel lives in the colleges dorm in a single rum, because his home is a long distance away, and just wanted to be alone. He got a his mother working in a kindergarten and his father is a director of a private hospital. Kenan doesn't like people, and with good reason. He used to have friends and be a happy boy before... Kel had started dating a senior in secret and they where tougher for half a year. He was Kel's first love and lovesick as he was trusted the senior unconditional. But then his boyfriend started to blackmail him with shamefull pictures of himself. The senior said that he would post them online and all over his dad's hospital, if he didn't do as he said. Kel was forced to pay a hug amount of money, do others homework, keep on look out when the senior fucked a girl in the back room. But as if that wasn't enough had the senior told others and rumors being to spread to the whole school, all treated him like dirt and he was bullied so bad, that he had to be hospitalized in a physic clinic for the rest of the year, then transferred to a new school. But he never became the same boy after that. He spends his time alone, doesn't like crowded places and never walks in to any stores. He has formed his walls so high that he seems cold and distant never letting then down Extra: His name is shorted to Kel because that's what his mother calls him, and he thinks the sound of his full name is weird. Kel had not come earlier than usual. just early enough to make it to class and in his seat before the teacher would come, and late enough, that there would be only a few students in the hallway. No one looked or said anything to him as he walked to his seat, they knew he would pretend like they were air. Fuck he longed for summer vacation! As he sad down he pulled the cap of his blu hoodie down and slid a hand back into the light amber colored hair to smooth the small locks that fell down his eyelids. He got his school books and a pencil up. He looked out the window beside him drifting into thoughts as the teacher walked in. Kel couldn't help but think of his parents at home. He had talked with his mother the evening before, and she was still worried about him being so far away though he had be so half a year now, she had been mad at him at first for choosing a school so far away, but she had accepted it in the end. Kel loved his mother dearly she was his best friend And she didn't hesitate to call him almost every night. Kel's father had just nodded absently and told him that it would probably be a good idea to get a little air under his wings "MR Marwood!!" Snapped the teacher turning Kel's attention towards him. Kel's face blushed a bit of embarrassment, the teacher had talked to him, but that he had heard it because he had been consumed in thoughts. He quickly eliminated the blush, hopeful before anyone could had seen it. "Sorry Sir, I didn't hear what you said" Kel apologized angry at himself. The Teacher left it at that, and turned to the person next to him. God... Such intense blue eyes! Kel had never seen that guy in this class before, was he transferred? Shit! Kel already knew where the transferred student was going to sit, the seat next to him was the only available spot. Kal's light bluish gray eyes meet his perfect blue ones for a second before Kel looked away.
Guest Eornostlice
After a short visit of the dean's office, the brunette was given is schedule along with information on schoolarships and possible other benefits, yet he had to admit he was only half listening. His smile stayed in place, unable to fade. The classes had started already by the time he was dismissed, but he did not worry, knowing where the first class was held. The teachers were made aware of his situation, that was one of the points explained by the dean, along with the promise that it was only in order to watch over his condition, all of them being forbidden from revealing anything to his fellow students, for fear he would be ostracized in any way. It was five minutes later that he found himself inside the class for the first time, with the teacher -who had gotten slightly angry by now- directing him next to the boy by the window, towards the only available spot in the entire room. Their gaze connected, cold gray eyes that appeared to see through a person's soul staring in his own bright blue, but the trance was broken nearly in one instant. "You are to share your textbooks with Mr. Walcott for today. As a newly transferred student, he does not have them yet." The teachers's voice was rather grave as he repeated himself for the blonde, not pleased with his lack of attention. Strange. Do most people react that way? Looking away. No that felt... cold. Glancing inside the room once more before quietly making his way to his own seat, allowing the teacher to continue his lecture, the brunette was sure. It was not him. Everyone else's eyes were... filled with curiosity. It was the gray-eyed man that was simply cold instead. Yet Laurie's smile did not break. "Sorry to inconvenience you. I promise it's temporary." He whispered sensibly, taking his seat.
M-jow
He really had to share his notes with that guy as well! Kel didn't even hide that he was annoyed or the cold glans he was giving the new student. But the guy just smiled at him as he took his seat. "Sorry to inconvenience you" he had said. Well it couldn't have been helped, the teacher knew that Kel had the highest score in class, so it would only be normal, but he still didn't like people near him. Kel shrugged and opened his textbook up for him to see. As the guy leaned in to read the notes, did Kel catch himself leaning against the window to keep the space between them. It was almost scary the way he ignored the aura around Kel, he just kept smiling. He tried to remember what his mother had told him. Something about not all people being evil. But he honestly didn't believed it, besides his parents he hadn't meet any there wasn't. Like this smile, there may be evil beneath it, maybe not to the naked eye but it surely was there. The lessons seemed to take in what felt like forever, before the bell rang, he had been so uncomfortable in his seat, that he almost jumped up at the sound. He just wanted to be alone for some time and thought of the library. The blue eyes looked to him, he was about to ask something, then Kel turned and went out into the hallway. From the corner of his eye, he saw how the other students surround the new guy, like vultures on a dead animal after the lions meal. He just heard the first girl talk as he walked out the class. "you're just so unlucky to sit next to the ice prince, I'm surprised you made it until break!" "Don't take it personally, he ignore us all, I wouldn't bother with him if I were you"
Guest Eornostlice
With the lecture going on, it had gotten obvious that Laurie was not truly there to fool around in any way. He was paying utmost attention to the teacher's words, scribbling notes down completely focused. But such state of concentration did not mean that he was unaware of his surroundings or that his mind was not already gathering information about everyone else. The brunette smiled to himself ever so gently, the first to leave an impression being his deskmate. The man looked tense, and was certainly unfriendly without bothering to hide it in any way, but he was not a bad person. Even if just because he had been instructed by the teacher to share his textbook, he did not really complain even though he obviously found it unpleasant. The man smiled to himself. Usually such people were not ill-intended but simply have been through a lot. Him, who was hiding fears behind his smiles should have known it best afterall. Ah. Before he got the chance to speak up, the other had already made his escape, much like a fearful small being. A rabbit? "Eh? Ah." Laurie chuckled, snapping back to reality, realizing he was surrounded by people. "Ice prince? There is suck nickname?" His words did not sound taunting nor mocking, instead, being nothing but pure curiosity. If anything, he did not find such nickname pleasant. "I do not really mind. I have inconvenienced him, surely, but he does not look like a bad person?" The brunette was what most would call extremely bright and honest, he did not feel the need to lie in order to fit in anywhere. He raised himself up from his seat, stretching his back. This sort of situation, wasn't it rather fun? "Ah. My name is Laurie. It is nice to meet you. I got here a bit too late for introductions." He chuckled, trying to change the topic. Talking behind someone's back was not something he desired to do.
M-jow
Kel used the break to write the notes he hadn't during the lesson. He couldn't fall behind just because he was freaked to have gotten a desk mate. His father would certainly wouldn't be as sympathetic as his mother, he would look at it as if Kel had humiliated him. As if his grades reflected his dad's position, even though Kel had nothing to do with that man's job. When he entered the classroom again there were still lots of people around the new student. From the sounds of their laughter they had properly told some kind of joke, Kel just hoped it wasn't one of him. At least they were no longer by his desk and could more easily slid into his seat as the bell rung. As the students took their seats the brunette his new desk mate, smiled broadly when he saw him already siting. "Did he think that I would have just stayed away?" The next few lessons went easier, Kel had discovered that the brunette was hard working and had he had to do the same if he wanted to remain in the top scorer. when it was time for lunch he took his bag and went outside to eat the sandwich he had purchased from the vending machine in the hallway along with a juice. The weather were lovely, the weak suns heat warmed Kel's cheeks and made him sigh relieved, feeling the stress slip of him. He sat on his spot in the garden against a tree facing the school building and eat. Then he saw his desk mate standing in the doorway looking at him, it looked as if he thought about wherever he should go over to Kel or not. Kel hoped for not, but then he started walking toward only to stop before him. He couldn't see anything threatening in in those blue eyes, but he still felt a bit scared. "What do you want?" Kel asked in his casual cold tone.
Guest Eornostlice
The students sharing the same class were not bad people thenselves- that was the conclusion that the brunette was quick to reach as he tried to answer every question, not mentioning anything about where he had spent nearly one semester on purpose, giving only a vague answer of "I've been in anither city." Luckily, it seemed that they were not truly all that interested in that part so he did not need to lie. Lying was not quite something he enjoyed and would have felt bad if it would have been needed. As the class started, the blonde was back. So he was a serious person huh? Sitting next to someone that would not bother him during class was a relief. Laurie smiled brightly. The rest of the class, all the way until lunch passed in a blur. As expected, his deskmate was quite to make an exit before he even got the chance to think of trying to initiate conversation. That was fine however the fact that even now here were so many curious people talking to him wasn't. He needed to eat in order to take his pills. Grabbing his lunch container, he excused himself, choosing to go outside. It was sunny, but luckily the sun was fairly weak. His condition made it so he could not enjoy hot weather. While searching for a shaded spot either way, Laurie's eyes met the man whose name he did not yet know. Not his first name that was. His mind was made up- he headed straight towards him, crouching down with a smile as he heard him speak, even tho his words were harsh. "Would you mind sharing the shade with me? Ah I am bribing you though, since I seem to be invading your private space quite a lot today." The brunette giggled, opening his lunchbox to reveal one sandwich and two small store bought pudding containers which had a plastic spoon incorporated in the lid. One of the puddings was picked up as 'bribe', pointed towards the blonde. "The classroom is a little bit stuffy with so many people."
M-jow
That surprised him. Mr. Smiley actually needed some time off just like him. He looked around from where he sat, well there was room enough, and besides… Kel looked at the offered bribe, he really really! wanted that pudding. He bite the inside of his bottom lip, he could always walk away, if it became too much. “Sure… do as you want” Kel indicated for him to sit. “Just didn’t think that having too many around would bother you.” ”You pretty much looks like the popular kind of guy” Kel didn’t say that to judge him, he just told him the truth. Guest Eornostlice
Laurie was simply delighted to be allowed to sit there, placing the "bribe" in the other's hands. As he thought, the blonde truly was not a bad person. The feeling of the grass underneath was soothing. How long has it been since he last got to enjoy a day outside? He could not even recall it, but that kind of pleasing feeling did not make him forget that he needed to take his pills. He would never be that careless. "I like people." He stated quite blandly. "They do not seem ill intended afterall. But I do need my moments of quiet. I'd much rather get to enjoy my lunch than to be interrupted every minute. Is that mean?" He bit his sandwich, munching quite happily.
M-jow
"No... I don't think that would qualify as being mean" Kel sad mostly to himself and finish his sandwich in silence. Having company wasn't as bad as he had thought, he didn't feel obliged to engage in a conversation, this was probably the most he had ever tolerated another student near him, maybe because they had become desk mats. He secretly looked over at the brunette, he seemed peaceful, there where no superficial smile plastered to his mouth, just a normal guy eating. Kel didn't trust that the guy was what he made himself seem like, smiles sometimes hide nasty things, but he wasn't the type to interfere or care for people he didn't trust. He unwrapped the pudding and took a spoonful into his mouth. The creamed sweet flavor melted on his tongue. In comparison to the tuna sandwich, this was a little piece of heaven which made him moan a bit in satisfaction, completely forgetting that he wasn't alone. when he finally realized it he tried to hide it by clearing his throat, trying not to get embarrassed. Guest Eornostlice
Laurie did not make any attept at further conversation. Afterall, he was sure that just like himself, the other male simply wanted to enjoy his lunch in silence. He did not even look over- staring wouldn't have been a nice thing to do, not at someone that was eating. Or perhaps he was simply too self-consciouss when it came to the small things that often bothered people. It was the small satisfied moan that made him turn his head, his own mouth stuffed with the rest of the sandwich. "Pft-" he let out a small chuckle, struggling to swallow his food without chocking. How unhonest. That was actually adorable. "I like pudding too!" the brunette spoke, managing to free his mouth successfully. Following the other's example, he took the lid off his own pudding but did not immediately dig in. Instead, reaching out into his pocked he poped three pills inside his mouth, swallowing them down with the sweet treat. It was only afterwards that he continued devoring the delicious goodness. M-jow
"Well, it tastes good" Kel replied as if nothing, but already knew that he had heard him. He had never seen anyone near choking on a sandwich like that before. Thinking back on the guys face as he, tried not to laugh while swallowing, had been funny as well as embarrassing from his part. He continued eating and enjoy the pudding while looking back at the building. His body was suddenly tense, when he saw two girls sitting in a window to their class, they disbelief stared down on them, they may have felt his cold glance, because they soon hastened away. He could feel how his hand started shaking. Oh god... was he really that going through a panic stroke now! Deep breath he said to himself. There was still a bit time before the break ended, normally it would take Kel some time to get it under control. Lucky the guy didn't seemed to notices it. Ah the guy? he still didn't know his name... "I'm Kel by the way... whats your name?" he asked, just trying to think about something else than the panic in him. Guest Eornostlice
The brunette did not focus too much on the man, his attention being completely taken by the pudding he was munching on. The bitter taste of the pills seemed to somehow still linger inside his mouth and without doubt, he did not like that in the slightest. One would think he would have gotten used to it by now, but in truth, the taste, as someone with a sweet tooth was exactly something he simply could not stomach. It tasted horrible no matter how he looked at it. "Ah?" It was only when the other spoke that he looked up, the little spoon in his mouth. So his name was Kel? What Ice Prince? The man was a sweetie for all he could see. Was it shyness that made him hide in his shell? No matter what it was, Laurie found himself enjoying his company. Maybe exactly because he did not have to constantly keep a conversation. "I am Laurie Walcott but Lau is fine. Or just about whatever nickname pops into your mind. I will not mind it." M-jow
The guy looked shocked as he turned to him, but Kel was glad when the guy reply him "Laurie.. ugh..." Kel replied thought fully. He wasn't big on nicknames even though he called himself Kel, for now he would just call him Mr Smiley, but only in his mind. His mom had a lot of books about the meaning of name's, maybe he could ask her about Laurie name? maybe the next time she would call? She had showed him his own a million times; The name of Kelvin makes you dynamic, restless, independent, ready to accept challenges, and outspoken. Well maybe that's why he stick to Kel, only his dad ever used Kelvin and the teachers always called him Marwood. All this had lead to making panic leave Kel's body, and soon he stood, with his bag over the shoulder. "The lesson starts soon, see you in class" Kel said befor heading forwards the school building. Guest Eornostlice
The brunette gave his deskmate a full mouth "Mhm" with a smile, before reverting his eyes back to the pudding. He was savoring it slowly, being grateful for the intake of sugar. Gods did he need it. Only half a day passed but he felt exhausted. Inwardly he hoped that he would not be falling asleep through the next period, still wishing to somehow manage to focus and proactively take notes for further study. On the good side, he was still not in pain. But given the degree of his exhaustion, he wondered for how long he would still enjoy the sensation of a normal body. Everytime he overwoked, the pain would come. His fingers would turn bluish, even if it was not noticeable and it would be a sign that he needed rest. He hoped not to reach that point for the day. The bell announced the start of class, surprising Laurie. If he was eating slowly up to this point, taking ant-like bites, he unceremoniously poured the rest of the content inside his mouth and got up, rushing to get inside before the teacher did. Safe. As he opened the door, he found that the teacher was slower. He made his way back to his seat, next to the so called Ice Prince, pulling out another blank notebook for taking notes. He did not initiate any more conversation with Kel, only throwing an apologetic smile his way. They would still have to share the textbooks. M-jow
Before walking to class, Kel had been in a good mood, but then a older student had stumble into him as he turned a corner. He grabbed Kel by the shoulders, steading them from hit the floor. Kel had been frighten in than moment, he let his bad personality steer the course of event like ha always did. "Watch it!" he snapped, pulling away from the guy. "Sorry Alvin, didn't see you there." Kel froze, this guy knew about him! He stared cold and almost murderously into the older guys eyes, what ever selfish smile the guy had had vanished from his face immediately. It hadn't been the first time he had met people who knew the rumors from his old school. The guy was original frightened of him. Good. Kel took the guy by the collar and pinched him up against the wall. "If I startes hearing anything from you or ever call me that again, I will make your life agonizingly painful to live. Just remember that the next time you sees me" He may not be very muscular, but he had his ways to do stuff if needed. The guy nodded and ran as soon as Kel let him go. All conversation ceased as he entered the classroom, and took his in his seat. Damn it! that just ruined his day. He lay out his tekst book for Lau, and tried to concentrate on the lesson, it didn't help that the teacher was a slow speaker, even Mr. Smiley looked tired by now. Kel ended up reading ahead of the teacher, remembered to write notes. He was done with most of the chapter, befor he realized it was break time. Being mad had obviously made him productive. he sighed and sit back in the chair, Kel didn't feel like hitting the library, there were only five minutes left of the break anyway. Guest Eornostlice
The class became a little more difficult to focus on. Rhe teacher spoke a bit too slow for Laurie's taste, but given the state he was in now, it actually made him breathe a sigh of relief. It meant he did not have to spend extra energy to take notes fast while also managing to stay focused on every detail. At least that. He did glance at his deskmate several times from the corner of his eyes but Kel was way into studying to observe. Laurie did not plan on disturbing him in any, but found that serious face to be somewhat endearing. Surely a smile would have been nicer but that worked fine as well. It did bring him something that could be considered charm. If not for his general cold attitude, he would have gotten quite a few admirers. Perhaps even like this he had a few secret ones. By the end of the class, it became clear to the brunette that exhaustion took a toll on his body. His face was much paller, all color seeming to have been drained. A slight ache was already present in his left side of the chest and figured out it meant he was reaching his limits. But stubborness had always been part of his character. He stretched his body once before leaning with his head on the desk, looking at Kel. "You really like studying don't you?" It was a truly innocent question. "Do you find it fun?" The only luck that the brunette had was that by now, more or less, the initial curiosity died and most of his classmates chose to leave the classroom even if the break was short. M-jow
Kel shrugged. "Not really, it helps passing time and I have been told that I'm a quick leaner at times, it makes one forget the present, so... maybe" He said the last part in the distance tone He hadn't really thought about what he thought of studding. Maybe he did like it deep down. Lau looked Just as beat as Kel felt, Mr. Smiley was probably exhausting being the new one at school Kel tried to cover a yawned no luck withhold it. Only one hour to go. "So you live around here or what?"
Guest Eornostlice
"Hmm~..." The brunette only let out a small hum as he listened. Somehow the other really did look the part of a quick learner. It was not like Laurie enjoyed studying, his own reasons sounding rather similar to Kel's. He was a quick learner himself or so had he been told, but more importantly... he truly had nothing better to do. Stuck inside a hospital with nothing to do other than browse the internet, sleep, eat and study was makig him somewhat productive. Despite his rather special circumstances, he had entered the college through his own merits rather than based on pity work or anything of the sort. No one rememebered, but his name was in the top ten admitted right from the begining. Sure, his circumstances made him look like a "transfer student" even though neither the teacher nor he himself ever used that term and he did not bother to correct others. No one was going to check those lists now that the semester had started such a long while ago to notice that his name had been there from the start so it did not make sense to bring it up. "Oh yeah. My house is 5 minutes away on foot from college. It is quite convenient. I live with my parents though. What about you? Living near?" It was only now that he had discovered a few discreet curious gazes, some looking surprised. He was sure, it was not directed at him but rather at the fact that the blonde who he had been told as liking to ignore people was actually talking and continuing a conversation. M-jow
Kel ignore those staring gazes, hating being the reason for their attention. He tried leaning over the desk, making him as small as possible, not comfortable with the sitrurationen. "No I live in the dormes." Kel answered in at lower tone then before. "I got a room at my parents, but they live to far from her." Kel knew that he could had got an apartment insted, but at the time it had sounded easyer to just live in the dormes. "It was my own chois to go to this school, my father thought that the changes would do me good, my mom... not so much." Kel smiled by remembering his mother. He looked to Lau, the guy had started to look a bit more lively again, was that guy fueled when taking? Kel's smil wider. What a strange guy. As the teacher walked in Kel sat up, luckely it was a drifrent teacher then the last they had got befor. Kel felt in such a better mood now, and was ready to get some stuff done. Guest Eornostlice
Dorms? That actually sounded pretty nice. It had been something like his fantasy to live at least for once away from home, perhaps with a roommate. But his parents would never allow it. His condition had to be monitored as it was no Halloween joke and he had no other choice but to stay somewhere where he would be sure to have someone to call the ambulance were anything to go wrong. It was not like it had not happened before. Passing out with no warning, falling in the process. For better or worse his father was always home and keeping an eye on him. Laurie would have wanted to continue the conversation but he did not have the chance to, watching the teacher walk in. He had no choice but to focus and brace himself for the lecture to come, the break having helped him relax properly. He had no idea that breaks would be so appreciated by himself. Flashing a last smile and no longer disturbing Kel, he studiously took notes. The teacher was fairly fast in his explanations but he discovered he could keep up. M-jow
The lesson went smoothly for Kel, the bell rung to indicating that school was over just as he finish the last of his nots. All around the students backed their bags and left the room, some groups stayed talking as Kel backed his bag. One of the girls groups especially kept sending glance his way. They probely wanted to talke with Laurie, why else would the looke like that. He then guickly made his "See you tomorrow" to his deskmate befor starting to leave. One girl said something as he walked by them, but pertended not to hear. "Don't you think thats it weird?" Kel got the feeling that it was about him, but didn't wanna hear it. He didn't care what they would think of him anyway. Compared to that his day had started of badly, Kel walked home to the dorms with a happy feeling in his body. He wouldn't go as fare and say that he liked the guy, but maybe, he was nice. Lots of students livlig at the dorm as Kel, hang around the hallway, when they saw him they behaved just as his classmats did, no one wanted to get to close, they ignored him, just as he them. As he unlocked his door number 204 he noticed some hot glances being sent his way, Kel frown. "Get a girl." He said before entering his room. Fucking hornydogs those seniors! Guest Eornostlice
"Bye bye. I will see you tomorrow." It looked like the blonde was in a rush so Laurie did not push him. Instead he gathered his own things, stuffing them into his backpack. He needed to get home and rest as quickly as possible. "Laurie. Are you free now?" A well-intended voice sounded from behind him, making him turn his head. She was one of the girls that he spoke to during the first break, yet he could not recall his name. Ah. The only name he had learned during the day ended up being 'Kel'. "I am sorry. I need to rush home for today." He smiled politely, picking up his bag and heading towards the door. "Bye bye." He pretended not to hear the soft sigh of the female, taking note of the several greetings received back. It was at times like these when he was glad to live nearby. He would probably need several good hours of sleep before he could do any homework, feeling drained, a familiar dull ache in his left side. Finally home. He pushed open the gate, not forgetting to close it once again. His room was on the second floor, with his parents on the first. Probably both of them would be home by now. Laurie coukd guess that both would hardly contain themselves, fighting the urges to ask about his day. The answers would need to wait however, he was simply exhausted. The brunette stopped by the house's door, perking up, trying to make no sound, putting his backpack down on the ground. "Huh?"
M-jow
He hadn't really got much done from when he had gotten home, most of the evening had been spendt on homeworke. He had only taken a break to eat some dinner. He really didn't have all that much homeworke, but he keeped reading ahead. It was something his dad had told he to do when he had been little and couldn't keep up with the others. It had worked for him at that time, he probely didn't need to anymore. But after all the rumors had started at his old school, he had spendt most of his spar time on homeworke. It was a way to keep the world out. He came to school as always, just reaching his seat before the teacher walked in. Kel stretched his body as the two first lessons had past, now it was time for break. He felt a bit stiff today, maybe he would go out for a run in the park today after school. He turned to Laurie, the guy had literally bloomed with joy and even when the teacher had told them to write a report, the guy had still seemed happy. Guest Eornostlice
He heard it again. A soft cry coming from the garden. Was that a meow? It certainly sounded like the cry of a kitten. Exhaustion and the dull ache were both temporarily forgotten as the brunette made his way towards the sound. It seemed to be coming from behind a big potted plant and one of the fence's corners, a place normally hidden from one's sight no matter how often they would visit the backyard. Ah. He was right. His entire face lit up. Five. Cuddled on a cardboard that somehow ended up there were four tiny balls of fur with a fifth trying to climb inside the pot, meowing for all it was worth. A bigger, yet skinny cat with a wounded ear was keeping the little ones safe, her eyes staring straight at the young man in alert, unmoving. Ah. A dirty-looking calico cat, with her yellow eyes constrricted. Definitely a stray. * The brunette did not remember when he had eaten his dinner nor when he had done his homework nor how he had managed to convince his parents to let him bring the six cats inside the house. He wouldn't be able to keep them all as they grew up, but he had received the "OK" in keeping the big calico and one of the kittens of his choice. As the others grew up a little more -he gressed they were only three weeks or so old- it would be his responsibility to find them owners. When Kel walked in, Laurie was already in his seat, going along with his classmates' small talk, already looking for potential owners. He could not help the cheerful atmosphere as he focused on the lecture nor the fact that he'd be writing his first report in a long while. "Ah Kel. Hold on hold on." He spoke quickly, afraid that his deskmate would vanish during the break like he had done before, his smile turning into a grin. "Say Kel. Do you like cats?" He was childishly excited.
