The issue wasn't from YaoiOtaku, but from the image sharing where you host your avatar (Tinypic). All pics, avatars, signatures and so on hosted on Tinypic had an issue yesterday. Another well-known image hosting, Photobucket was down yesterday too. If it happens again, you can try to upload your avatar/sig on Imgur.com, so far I haven't experienced issues with it.
