Hiya guys! Have any of you heard of a RPing forum called HurtfulTactics? I'm mainly on there, but I thought I'd like to search for more partners to RP with! I drastically prefer the interface there though, so if you'd like to RP do create an account, check it out, and drop me a pm! :"D

I'm open to many, many different plots, and my only condition is please understand that I have periods of absences due to happenings in life and try to leave at least something new each post to reply/react to!

~Duende~

 

*A duende is a fairy or goblin-like mythological creature from Iberian, Latin American and Filipino folklore.

*The mysterious power a work of art has to deeply move a person (spanish).

 

Background:

 

X is an artist. Since childhood, he pours his soul into his artworks, into paintings and stories. In life, he appreciates his solitude, and his works are his children and legacy. His name might spread all over the world, his art admired by millions. But he does not step out of the shadows, and he does not find comradeship. There is nothing more important, after all, than breathing and creating life in his world.

 

 

Plot:

 

One day, X was offered the chance to be featured solely in a private gallery. He agreed, and his works were spread out, and his space was created. At peace, he called the gallery his home. That night, he was awoken by a soft glow. His eyes slid open, and lo' behold, his art was all around him. Another person -or was it really?- was standing next to him to greet him, and the words he spoke heralded the beginning of something new.

"Why do you look so surprised? After all, you were the one who created us, Father,"

 

 

 

 

It Started With Coffee

 

 

Background:

 

It started with a nondescript coffee shop sitting by the side of the road. It doubled up as a floral boutique, serving cakes and beverages among the aroma of fresh flowers. It wasn't the most noticeable of places, despite its calming ambience, but it had enough customers to live on.

 

The owner, X, was one of the few staff members working at the shop, and he was a decent man that matched the place to a tee. He had a smile that felt like he really understood you and honestly listened to what you had to say, without judgement. He was a good person.

 

It wasn't really a surprise when Y dropped by for a cup of coffee and ended up visiting the place a second time because the coffee was just how he liked it, and a third time because he liked the man's smile. He visited it a fourth time, and X listened to him speak about his frustrations with work, then he visited a fifth with a box of chocolates and a sheepish apology for his outburst. Then it became almost a habit to stop by that little coffee shop whenever he was down or whenever he was free, then every day.

 

 

Plot:

 

It wasn't until Y went on a business trip, and the longing for his usual seat at the coffee shop near the window nearly crippled him with a stomachache, that he realized something. He missed the place. Moreso than any other.

 

But his love wouldn't benefit any one. He had his obligations, and society definitely wouldn't approve of him loving another male. But it was tempting. So very tempting. The thoughts wouldn't leave him alone, and it was a weakness that he couldn't overcome.

 

Not until his distractions cost him his job, and everything else with it. Then he was found in an alley just shy of the coffee shop, drenched in the rain and lying against the walls like a ragdoll. And Y heard words that stirred his desire, spoken with a voice that he hadn't seen for weeks, that reminded him of a warm, steaming cup of coffee.

 

"Would you like to come in and have a seat?"

 

** Y's job can be anything, whether a businessman or even hired mercenary, anything is fine~

 

 

 

Better As A Duo

 

 

Background:

 

Cue a typical RPG setting during the medieval ages, with Kings and Queens and magical beasts running rampant. In this world, people are separated into Mages and Fighters. Most travel in pairs, for compatible Mages can share their powers with Fighters in exchange for protection and companionship. Taverns and bars post up party requests along with job requests on the message board to help facilitate things.

 

In this world, there exists a prestigious Academia, the only one of its kind. It is a neutral ground where Mages and Fighters are trained, given the opportunity to pair up, then sent out into the world. Though many are given the opportunity to enter the Academy, almost none manage to graduate. Those who do are widely hailed as Masters.

 

 

Plot:

 

A is a mage studying in the Academia, and is widely known among his peers. He has rejected every attempt to form a bond with a Fighter, and yet is still one of the strongest mages around. He is part of the special class, expected to be able to graduate within the year or so, as long as he completes a series of requests given by the headmaster.

 

While in the middle of one of the requests, A gets lost in a forest that happens to dampen his powers, and finds himself useless for the first time in a long while. So it really is just convenience that he meets B, a Beastial Fighter living in these forests, who agrees to guide him out.
