Name: Kazu

Family: All family member's past away of an unknown illness, Or so Kazu has been told.

Occupation: College Student

A bit of history:

Having lost his family at a young age. He had been placed in foster care. Being bounced around from one home to the next, despite how well he followed the rules of the households. It seemed that he could no longer find a place he could call his home. But over the year's, after he grew out of the age for being in a foster care. He was told that he was being placed into a secure place.

 

As long as he kept his studies up. He would be allowed to live in the dorms free of charge, and have an allowance each month for food and supplies.

Name: Jei-Lee

Age: 23

Race: Human

Family: Has a loving mother and father, but due to a split up and also due to a affair. Jei-Lee, has been able to focus more on his studies all though during his studies, the devoice is going on. He doesn't have a say in it, and chooses not too. He still loves them both and hopes that they will be happy none the less, in their new relationships.

Occupation: Works at a public but prestigious school, for co-ed, as The Nurse. But works the student aid department for his degree.

The fall semester was just around the corner and as the day's went by, Kazu found himself more excited about living in a dorm. No more of this foster care stuff that he had been subjected to. No more being tossed from one home to the next. Yes, living on a college was going to be great. Or so he thought.

 

He had arrived at the dorms a bit earlier than most people would. Having wanted to get set up as soon as possible. The hours seemed to pass by slowly, all he wanted to do was explore the college a bit. But no, he was stuck here in this tiny room while the orientation instructor went on and on about policies and rules.

 

But it was when the orientation was over, he was the first to exit the room. Thankful to be out of that stuffy room. Returning to his dorm to put away the papers that had been handed to him. Once he made sure that everything was put away and that everything was right. He exited the dorm room to explore a bit of the college grounds. Wanting to know where things where.

 

Kazu walked outside, and slowly started to make his way across campus where the shops were located. Some of the buildings were not open for the semester yet, but quite a few were open. So he walked around and peeked into a few of them. Seeing a few things that he made a note of, that he would like to have at some point. But right now, he needed to be careful of how much he spent. He would have to save up for what he wanted.

 

Once he managed to get bored of window shopping, he began to head back towards the dorms. That was until his foot hit an icy patch on the sidewalk. Kazu got a sinking feeling in his gut before his body hit the ground with a rather loud thump. The back of his head hit rather hard against the concrete, knocking him unconscious as his body laid out on the ground.

While Kazu was dealing with orientation and window shopping, Jei-Lee was setting up his nurse's office ready for the upcoming semester. He was placing boards on the end of the beds, organizing his desk and the medicines. He was also making sure he had extra natural sunshine in his office, by opening the folding wooden blinds in the large windows of his space. He had also opened both of the student resting rooms for both males and females. He has turned the dimmer's on in both those rooms to reserve on energy spent.

 

It was still early, about 9am when he had received a call from the dorm land lord. He sighed, there had been a slip of a student. He quickly went out of his office, and he knew this would happen some how. With his almost own trip on the icy pavement of the campus. He walked out of the warmth of his office after grabbing his winter coat and scarf. As he was heading towards the dorm, he had called the football department of the campus. He had called there to have the couch bring the cart of injury to the dorms.

Kazu's body laid motionless for a long moment. His breathing had also stopped along with the shock of the fall. That was until a deep breath entered his lungs in a gasp. His eyes shot open in a wide gaze before slowly relaxing. Until the pain finally settled in.

 

A soft groan escaped himself as he tried to figure out what in the hell happened to him. That was until he felt that his body was on the ground. His ears were ringing from the fall, and his eyes hurt from the sun beating down into his eyes. He was blinded by the sun, but he could make out the faint shadows of people surrounding him.

 

Great... Did he manage to make such a scene in one of his accident prone moments? He could hear it now, he was going to be one of the ones known to get random and odd injuries just out of no where. His back hurt and had him tried to shift himself so that he could sit up. But his body was to sore and only had him trying to curl into a ball on the icy sidewalk. He couldn't remember the last time he had gotten hurt this badly before.

Once Jei-Lee saw the student open his eyes, the concern was making his express soften. He kneeled over the student. "Hi, are you okay?" He then looked over his shoulder at the couch. "I guess moving him is not needed. I'll bring him to his dorm room and treat him there." He said to the couch. "I'm sorry for making a scene." He said to both of them. Jei-Lee then picked up the student. "Which room are you in?" He said going into the co-ed dorms.

Kazu shut his eye's tightly for a moment to try and get his vision to stop stinging so much from the cold air and due to the bright sun. His ears were still ringing, but he managed to make out what the man had said. "S-stop... ringing that damn bell... already." He groaned out. But it was when he was picked up that his body jerked and his eye's opened to look at the one who had picked up him. The ringing in his ears was dissipating more and more as the minutes passed by.

 

But it was when He heard the question being asked. He turned his head a bit. "Room three..." He managed to groan out. Clinching his fingers a bit. That was good, at least he still had enough feeling in his body to move his fingers. Why did he have to go and slip on some damn ice, on the first day he arrived at the college? Great way to introduce yourself to fellow students, as the klutz of the school.

 

The back of his head was pounding and only caused him to groan in pain.

He decided to only ask questions when it was needed. He headed to the door, where the couch had opened it for him. He headed to the first floor and to room three, knowing the dorms like the back of his hand. He then stepped up to the other's room. He also asked about his keys to his room. "Where are you keys? Also are your ears really ringing?" He had felt the slight bump on the back of the other's head. The couch had followed them, but past them in the hallway. He was fetching a ice pack from the ice machine in the dorms for Kazu.

Kazu let another groan leave his lips as he reached for the key's in his pocket and handing them over. But it was when he heard the question from the man, he lifted his gaze. "Its going away. But my head." he groaned out. Only when his head was being touched, he pulled away at the stinging sensation.

 

"Ah... Dont do that!" he whimpered at the pulsing pain. The pain alone felt like his head was trying to explode. He reached up to his own head, as he clinched his fingers to the side of his temples. "It hurts enough that... I cant concentrate." he groaned out. Let alone, that his body was feeling weak. With how he had to be careful with his spending, that also meant that he had to go with only one meal a day just to make ends meet. And it was still a few weeks before he could get his first allowance from the school.

 

He tried to get down from the man's arms, but no matter how much he tried. His body wouldn't move much on its own.

Jei-Lee introduced himself, "I'm Jei-Lee, the school's nurse." He then found the right key on the key chain and opened the door. He gently set Kazu down on his bed in the single room. He also sat at the other's desk, letting him settle down. He then closed the blinds in Kazu's room. The couch knocked on the door with a ice pack, water, and a quick snack for Kazu from the vending machine. Jei-Lee, settled in the room and was soon departed by the football couch and only once he saw that Jei would be able to handle it. The couch, gently excused himself and said, "It's on me." He then handed Jei-Lee two sodas. One for Kazu of course.

 

He stood and let the other rest after giving the other a headache pill. He then stayed in the room, watching over Kazu.

Kazu clinched his teeth a bit when he heard the man. Only to finally be set down on his bed. All he wanted to do was sleep this off. But it seemed that the nurse had other plans. He noticed after the couch entered and placed the things down, only to leave afterwards. His gaze turned to the nurse only to have to take a pill.

 

He groaned as he choked down the medicine. Again, this man was not leaving the room. And it was starting to get a little on his nerves. He turned onto his side, facing the wall to the room. "You dont have to watch over me. I will be fine." he murmured. "This happens all the time to me anyways."

 

He closed his eyes, hoping that he could just fall into a deep sleep so that he could get away from everyone... and his embarrassment of having an accident on his first day to the college. That was one thing he hated most, was being watched like some rat in a cage. He had been watched quite a bit in his life. From moving to one foster care to the next. Always under some eye's that expected him to screw up.

Jei-Lee felt the sudden tense of the room and how he was now not welcome to stay. He quietly stood and handed the other's keys back to him. "I'll be in the nurse's office if you need me." He picked up a soda and headed back to his office. He groaned once he was outside and just started to worry about Kazu. But it soon got busy in the nurse's office, as he was also submitted to help in the main office this year behind the screens of coping homework and flyers.

 

Soon it was time for him to clock out his working hours. He did so quickly. He headed to the dorms and up on 3rd floor. He had managed to clock in enough hours, to be able to stay on campus with board and food paid for not out of his own pocket. Only over about a few semesters worked on campus. It also helped him stay out of the way of his parents split up. He walked up and opened the room of his dorm. He locked it soon following his entering.

 

He tiredly plopped down on his bed and relaxed, soon the next day came over night.

Kazu stayed where he was, and once he heard the door to his dorm shut. He sat up, placing the key's to the room on the desk before he kicked his shoes off. "Great Kazu.. just great. Is this really the way you wanted to show up on campus? By injuring yourself again." He groaned to himself. Grabbing his head a bit and felt around the back of his head. It was still a little swollen, but he didnt feel like his skull had been cracked open.

 

At least it wasn't anything to serious. He let a sigh leave his lips after a moment and lowered his hands. Letting his gaze move over to the desk where various items had been left. He wasnt all that hungry at the moment. But the ice pack did look appealing right now. He pushed himself up off the bed, only to lean back against it with a soft groan. Maybe he was pushing himself to much. He needed to take things easy, and be careful until classes began in the next few days.

 

He changed out of his street clothes and darted himself under the covers of the bed. Shivering a bit until his body began to warm up a little. Why was it so cold in these dorms anyways? He reached over and grabbed the ice pack. He lifted his head and placed it under his head. Relaxing himself before slowly drifting off to sleep. He hoped that a good nights sleep would do him some good.

 

The night passed as it normally would. This time no one was there to wake him at five in the morning. It was nice, to be able to sleep in a little. When he did wake, he reached up to his head to find the ice pack had fell into the floor in his tossing and turning. Shrugging after a moment, he sat up and felt the back of his head. At least the swelling had gone down. But it left a sore spot on the back of his skull. It wasn't anything new for him. He was use to being sore from accidents anyways.

The next day, Jei-Lee wakes up to the sound of his alarm and gets up after dragging his warm body out under the covers. He some out managed to find his way under them through out the night. He made coffee on his coffee machine quickly, and went for a quick fifth-teen minute shower to start his day. He still had about a hour and fifty minutes, so he had made himself a very large to go coffee and turned off the coffee maker. He got dressed and headed out of the door to the lunch room.
