If The Forum Is Slow

If the forum is working slow for you, please do the following: Step 1 - FLUSH YOUR DNS CACHE FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS 10

1. Hold down the Windows key and press “R” to bring up the Run dialog box or right click the Windows Start icon and click Run.
2. Type ipconfig /flushdns then press “Enter“. (be sure there is a space before the slash)

FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS 7

1. Click the 'Start' button and then type run in the search bar (where it says 'search for program and files').
2. Where it says Open: type in cmd.
3. In the window that comes up, enter in: ipconfig /flushdns
4. Press the 'Enter' key and repeat the process two more times.
5. Type exit and press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS XP

1. Click the 'Start' button and then click on 'Run'.
2. Type in cmd and click 'OK'.
3. In the window that comes up, enter in: ipconfig /flushdns
4. Press the 'Enter' key and repeat the process two more times.
5. Type exit and press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS VISTA

1. Click the 'Start' button and then type cmd. (Into the search box if not already selected)
2. When you see "cmd" highlighted, hold down 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' and hit 'Enter'. Or, you can right click on it and select "Run as administrator".
3. Select 'Continue' at the "User Account Control" screen.
4. In the window that comes up, enter in: ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter.
5. Press the 'Enter' key and repeat the process two more times.
6. Type exit and press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

FOR THOSE WHO USE MAC

OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ lookupd -flushcache
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ dscacheutil -flushcache
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

OS X 10.7 (Lion) and 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) -Versions 10.10.1, 10.10.2, 10.10.3

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ sudo discoveryutil udnsflushcaches
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

-Versions 10.10.4+

1. Open up a terminal window (Located in /Applications/Utilities).
2. To flush your DNS cache, enter the following command: macbook$ sudo dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder;say cache flushed
3. Type logout, and then press the 'Enter' key to close the window.

Step 2 - CLEAR YOUR BROWSER CACHE FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS 7/10 -For Internet Explorer

1. Click Start and select Control Panel. 2. Click on Network and Internet. 3. Click on Internet Options. 4. In the General tab, click Delete under the Browsing History section. 5. Leave everything as it is marked, and just click on Delete. 6. Click OK. 7. Close and relaunch your browser.

-For Firefox

1. Click Tools and select Options. 2. Click the Advanced icon and click the Network tab. 3. Click Clear Now under the Cache section. 4. Click Ok. 5. Exit and relaunch the browser.

-For Google Chrome

1. Click the Chrome menu on the right in the browser's toolbar. 2. Select Tools. 3. Select Clear browsing data. 4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove. 5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything. 6.Click Clear browsing data.

FOR THOSE WHO USE WINDOWS XP -For Internet Explorer

1. Click Start and select Settings, then Control Panel. 2. Double-click Internet Options. 3. Click the General tab. 4. Click Delete under the Browsing History section. 5. Click Delete Files in the Delete Browsing History dialog box. 6. Click Close. 7. Click OK. 8. Close and relaunch your browser.

-For Firefox

1. Click Tools and select Options. 2. Click the Advanced icon and click the Network tab. 3. Click Clear Now under the Cache section. 4. Click Ok. 5. Exit and relaunch the browser.

FOR THOSE WHO USE MAC -For Safari

1. In the Safari menu bar, click the Safari option.
2. Click the Clear History link.
3. In the Clear drop-down menu, select the time range (Everything, or From the beginning of time) where you want to clear browsing data.
4. Click the Clear History button.

-For Google Chrome

1. On the browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu icon.
2. Select the More Tools link.
3. Select the Clear browsing data link.
4. In the data drop-down menu, select the time range (Everything, or From the beginning of time) where you want to clear browsing data.
5. Select the Cookies and other site and plug-in data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
6. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

-For Firefox

1. In the Firefox menu bar, click the Firefox option.
2. Select the Preferences link.
3. Click the Privacy tab.
4. Under the History heading, click the clear your recent history link.
5. Select the Cache checkbox.
6. Click the Clear Now button.

I use windows vista, and i couldn't '/flushdns'

it says that it's not recognized as a command

 

 

anyways, the problem is solved somehow and everything is normal

The command is "ipconfig /flushdns" ... Did you enter it this way? Or only "/flushdns" as in your post?

Thank you for info....I always like to jot down tips to solve problems, exactly when do I know it is time to use this? Will it affect anything other than purging cache files??
