"Don't like sweets... I can work with that!" Cole sounded more confident when talking about food and managed not to stutter this time. He was rather excited now and had the perfect idea of what to do. A dish similar to the one he had today would work perfectly. Some chicken, a fluffy omelet, a couple fruits and vegetables, and probably some white rice underneath the chicken to soak up some extra juice and give an added flavor.

 

The bell snapped him out of his thoughts as Shiru got up to leave. "I-I'll see you tomorrow," he managed, the stutter returning thinking about being able to spend lunch with his crush again. Shiru was so kind and gentle towards him, so different from everyone else so far and he was happy by it. Honestly, it only made Cole fall for the other even more.

The next class began and Cole could hardly focus on the history lesson when all he could think about was the future. Tomorrow, while terrifying, was a huge opportunity for him at the same time. Shiru probably would never date a guy, let alone a guy like him but if they could at least be friends, then Cole would have an excuse to always stay but the other's side.

 

Cole drew the lunch he planned on making for Shiru the next day just trying to make sure it looked alright... What if he did fried chicken instead of a sauce one? After all, if Shiru didn't like sweet things a sweet and sour sauce chicken wouldn't work so he wouldn't need the rice either... Though it looked like something was missing... Maybe he could do wieners shaped like octopuses?

 

Even when going to the next class, Cole was focused on it as they went to the locker rooms to change for gym. However, his train of thought was broken by him walking into something hard and falling flat on his back. As he focused, he realized he'd been punched by someone just before entering the locker room. There stood Shiru's crazy ex and a friend of hers.... the one that punched him.

 

Cole sat up placing his hand over his cheek bone that was scraped slightly and bruising from the punch... The strike just narrowly missed his eye... Still, it hurt. Whoever this guy was, he had a strong right hook.

 

"Because of you, Shiru broke up with my princess! What have you got to say for yourself Faggot?!" Cole looked up stunned for a minute before realizing he needed to do something fast or he was going to be beaten to a pulp.

"Hahaha good game. "

"What happened to beating us Akira ?"

"Ha- I let you guys win. "

"Suuuuure"

Ty and Shiru laughed together making Akria roll his eyes. The Prince took a few gulps of water- and started whipping the sweat from his face and neck with a towel now that there game was over.

"You up for another round ?"

"I'll pass. I'll watch you and Akria go at it. "

He smiled.

 

It was very noisy in the gym. The sound of squeaking shoes, bouncing balls , and yells filled the large space . Shiru glanced around and was a little surprised to not find Cole in his usual corner high in the bleachers.

Odd...

Cole always sat out during gym class and was always sitting on the bleachers faraway from everyone else - but that's only if he was in class. Sometimes he'd skip gym and hide in the nurses office so people wouldn't bully him.

Cole attempted to move away but was dragged into the locker room when no one else was around and beaten up by the ex Princess's friend. Once satisfied with his work, the bully turned and left, leaving the blonde on the ground and covered in bruises. Cole wanted to curl up and hide but managed to get dressed, covered as many of the bruises as he could with a track suit and went to the nurse's office to lie down for a while.

 

Thankfully, he didn't have to talk to the nurse too much from the number of times he came to hide here. If he weren't sitting high in the bleachers, he was in the nurses office. Cole walked in and simply said he wasn't feeling well and the nurse just told him to lie down without even looking at the boy. There the englishman hid until class was over.

 

Even when the next class started, Cole wasn't in a rush to leave... In fact, he continued to remain in the nurse's office until the school ended and he could go home. The Fag remained where he was for 20 minutes after the last bell just to be sure that no one else would be around as he left to go get his things from the classroom and change to get home. Couldn't have his parents seeing him... his parents probably weren't even home so he really could just go home like this...

 

Cole got to the classroom and poked his head in to look around a little. He hoped no one was around so he could grab his things and go home.

"Cole? That you?"

Shiru was in the classroom cleaning. His job was to sweep the floor and dust.

"Suprised your still here. Did you get stuck with cleaning too?"

He wasn't really looking at the other. He had glanced at him but was on the other side of the room sweeping and talking while he worked. When he stopped to look at the boy his smile faded.

"W-what happened to your face ? What happened to you?"

He propped his broom on the wall and approached the other to get a better look at him. He was now face to face with the blond.

"Does it hurt? How'd this happen ? Who did this to you? "

He went to touch the others face but stopped himself - hesitating.

"Did you even go to the nurse ? ...tch..."

He turned away to grab his bag and pulled out his phone.

"I'm taking you to a walk in clinic. The nurse has probably left and I'm gonna make sure your ok. I bet you didn't go to any one did you ?"

Cole jumped a little when he found Shiru in the classroom, but before he had the chance to turn and run, the prince addressed him. "Uh... Y-Ya..." he said weakly. Cole was looking at Shiru just as much as he, him. Neither seemed to be paying much attention but the blonde's reason was that he couldn't look his crush in the eye... not now... not after what happened.

 

"N-No... Just have to get my... bag....." Cole glanced over taking notice that Shiru stopped sweeping and was completely focused on the gay boy with a frown on his face. "I-It's nothing!! Honestly... It's not that bad!!" Cole tried to calm Shiru down but the other seemed rather dead set on what happened. Before he could say anything else, the prince pulled his phone out of his bag and seemed determined to take the blonde to a doctor.

 

"W-Wait!!! I saw the nurse.... They're just bruises... Nothing anyone can do..." Clearly it was a lie because the one on his cheek was scraped and bled slightly showing no sign of treatment. "Please don't make a big fuss about it... This was all my fault..." Cole was quickly retreating within himself and seemed rather scared to talk about it or to have to go to the doctor's.

 

"Please... Shiru, don't tell anyone..." Cole said quietly. Was it really alright to be using Shiru's first name? Then again, he did call Cole by his first name...

Shiru was surprised by the others voice.

"W-Wait!!! I saw the nurse.... They're just bruises... Nothing anyone can do..."[/Quote]

He frowned staring at the other.

"Cole-"

"Please don't make a big fuss about it... This was all my fault..." [/Quote]

"What? How is this your fault ? Did you beat yourself up?"

"Please... Shiru, don't tell anyone..."[/Quote]

Shiru was shocked. The other was shutting him out- rejecting his help. But then again... Why should he be so surprised. Cole was probably use to taking care of him self and being alone. Never expecting another's help, always treated unfairly and always alone.

 

Shiru bit his lip before putting his phone away and slipping it into his pocket.

 

He honestly wasn't sure what to say. In truth. This was none of his business . Should he just leave ? But how could he do that seeing Cole hurt. But the other didn't want his help...and yet..he didn't want to drop this .

Cole quickly spoke so only after did he think about what that might have meant to Shiru. The blonde would rather hide than face his fears but the prince was the type that wanted to help others... Hearing Cole's protests must have come as a shock to him. Though, it wasn't like the situation could be helped.

 

Thankfully, Shiru put his phone away but he wasn't thrilled by the idea and even looked away... That one small movement... it was enough to emotionally crush Cole. He hurt his one and only crush to have to turn away with such a dejected look. Barely opening his mouth, Cole's throat felt dry and he found it really hard to talk.

 

"I-I'm sorry...." he managed. The male gripped at his jersey jacket feeling a sharp pain in his chest. As much as Cole wanted to explain, talk about everything, words just wouldn't come to him. Even as his mouth moved, jaw opening slightly and closing slightly, no sound ever came out.

 

Cole looked down tightening his grip knowing he should just grab his things and go... Damn he wanted to hide so much that he planned on skipping school for the next couple days.

Hearing Cole apologize made him sad and a little upset. He wanted to know who hurt him he wanted to help him but...

"No...I'm sorry....I was..worried and made you feel uncomfortable and stuck my nose in your business...If you say your find.. Then I have no right to push you or make you see a doctor. "

And with that - Shiru turned away and went back to sweeping.

"I-if you'll excuse me. I have to finish this..."

His expression was grim and his eyes distant. He seem to be lost in thought. Who ever did that to Cole he was determined to find them...and return the kind gesture.

Cole's heart was shattered like glass. Shiru could no longer look at the blonde and his words sounded like blizzard pushing him back and blocking the path in snow. Cole couldn't even take a step closer to the other... heck, he could hardly move at all actually. His throat felt dry and his head spinning... the whole room felt like it was being turned on its head.

 

Almost as if forgetting how to stand, Cole stumbled to the side, crashing into a desk but managing to catch himself. Before Shiru could really respond to the commotion, however, the blonde teen had grabbed his bag and took off out the door as fast as he could.... For granted that wasn't very fast.

 

By the time he made it to the front gate, Cole was completely out of breath and panted heaving as he dragged his feet forward. He wanted to collapse but had to get home as quickly as possible. The half Englishman managed to make his way home after what felt like forever and got in the front door only to collapse to the ground... He was exhausted now but at least could take the time to rest.

 

Why was he so pathetic?

Despite what happened, Cole got to school just barely on time almost being late and sat in his seat nervously as he thought about what he had with him... After what happened... would Shiru still like the lunch? He made it anyway but that didn't mean the other was even on speaking terms with him anymore. Cole was so scared that he wondered if he should run away... Go to the nurse and say he's so sick he had to go home? Doubt that would work.... the prince would just think he was a coward for doing that.

Shiru watched as the other hurried off. Maybe he should of kept pushing him. But if he did ...would Cole keep shutting him out. He wasn't sure how to make the other comfortable around him... He always appeared to be so nervous and jumpy around him. Was he...that scary ?

Class was just about to start and Shiru was sitting in the back with his friends.* He glanced up from his desk when he saw Cole come into the classroom just barely on time. He was still bandaged up and bruised. He frowned a little. He was surprised the other actually came today.

"Akria.. Do you know what happened to Cole?"

"What? Cole? You mean gay Cole?"

He turned to look at the boy and suddenly started to laugh.

"Oh.. Shit.. Ha. Hahaha ! No but it sure looks like he got his ass beat. "

Shiru held back his irritation.

" Wonder who did it. "

"I don't know. But I bet Akria can find out. Will you dig around and find out for me ?"

"Why? You friends with him now?

"...Just find out for me..."

"..I'll see what I can do. "

After about a hour or so of Akria texting on his phone during class he texted Shiru the information he so desperately wanted.*

Your ex had Kira from the football team beat him up.

Shiru's eyes widened slightly a little shocked. Was this...his fault ?

"Thanks "

He muttered to the other . Shiru was lost in thought.

{ Lunch Time }

It was the end of class and people hurried out the door for lunch.

"Shiru! You coming !"

"Be right there..go on ahead"

He waited till his friends and the rest of his classmates left. Leaving only him and Cole.

He slowly approached the others desk and looked away as he spoke to him.

"Id..like to apologize again for..yesterday...How are you feeling..?"

Cole waited for the others to leave the class before standing up. Though, as he was about to get ready to head up to the roof since it was probably dry by now, he was stopped by Shiru approaching him. The blonde looked over unsure of what was going to happen. Was the prince going to be angry or was he going to act like nothing happened?!...

 

"Id..like to apologize again for..yesterday...How are you feeling..?"

 

Well that was quite shocking.

 

"I-I'm fine... please don't worry about me..." Cole looked down feeling really nervous. The last thing he wanted was an apology from Shiru... He really did nothing wrong.

 

Cole suddenly twisted and grabbed the second lunch out of his bag and held it out towards Shiru... Actually, it almost looked like he shoved it into the other as he bowed. "I-I made you that L-lunch you w-wanted..." Wow, he actually had the confidence to present the lunch. Damn he wanted to run away.

 

"I'm sorry if I worried you but Really... I'm fine..." he lied.

Shiru was surprised when Cole presented him lunch, practically shoving it into his arms. He couldn't help but grin at the others shyness. He was bowing and stumbling on his words. As if he was a girl trying to confess to him.

"I-I made you that L-lunch you w-wanted.. I'm sorry if I worried you but Really... I'm fine..."[/Quote]

"I see..."

He slowly peeked into the lunch box and his smile brightened even more.

"Wow! This looks amazing. I can't wait to eat it. Thank you Cole. "

He put the lit back on and took a step back.

"I better get going. Akria and Ty are waiting..."

He looked down at the lunch in his hands for a moment before looking back up at the boy who was blushing.

He really...does like me..

"..Cole .. I know you usually eat lunch somewhere else other than the cafeteria but ...just for today. I think you might wanna see what happens. "

He winks at the younger male before turning and heading out the door.

"Thanks again !"

It was the middle of lunch. Akria and Ty were at one of the tables waiting for him. He joined his friends with a smile on his face.

"Hey guys"

"Don't 'Hey' us Shiru. Where you been?

"Where'd you get that? You make your own lunches now?"

"It was given to me. But I can't eat now."

His eyes wondered the cafeteria until he found his target.

" Do me a favor Ty. Hold this for me ."

"Uh sure but- wher--"

He snatches Akria's freshly opened water bottle from his hand.

"HEY! Give that back you prick!"

"Sorry. Need it "

And with that Shiru left heading towards Hemiko's table.

Ty and Akria watched -very confused yet very very interested.

Sitting at his ex's table was a few of her friends and Kira, her new boyfriend. She smirked at him- yet wondered why he was now standing in front of her .

"Well...hello there Shiru..What brings you over here? Come to take me back ?"

She laughed along with her friends . Shiru only smiled at her.

"No sorry. I find ugly girls extremely repulsive."

After that he poured Akria's water all over the girl - dumping it on her head and letting it drench her. Everyone shared in shock not believing their eyes. The lunch room became dead silent. Even Hemiko was too shocked to speak. She only shrieked after he was out of water .

"Y-Y-YOU ASSHOLE!!! HOW DARE YOU!!"

"Yo--

Kira stood up and lunged at Shiru- trying to attack him. The dark haired male punched the other in the face - instantly breaking his nose. The football player fell back- landing on his back and groaning , covering his gushing bloody nose.

 

Why?

 

Everyone was wondering... Why did the Prince just do that ?!

The shining Prince glared at the wet girl who was now in tears.

"I can't stand girls who bully others and pretend to be the victim. You had Kira beat up Cole for no reason, and that's why I'm doing this. You deserve much worse Hemiko. But this is fine. Your a bully..and hopefully having you being completely expressed by me in front of the entire school will make you realize what you did was wrong....Being bullied isn't as fun when your someone else's target...is it?"

"Thanks - I'll eat my lunch in the principals office."

He told Ty as he approached his friend and took back his lunch -strolling out of the cafeteria with out a care in the world.

 

Shiru... Was a badass!!

 

"Holy shit!!

"I-.. I can't believe he just..did that...our Prince... Our Shiru.. And here I thought he didn't have a mean bone in his body ."

"Hemiko mad our Prince mad"

"What a bitch !"

"How cowardly to have someone else do her dirty work"

"Serves her right "

It was almost cryptic what Shiru was saying.... Why would he want Cole to go to the cafeteria when he seemed fully aware that the blonde absolutely hated being there. Did he know something that Cole didn't? He simply stared blankly at the back of the one that he made a lunch for as he strolled out of the room looking confident and down right cool.

 

As soon as the other was no longer in sight, Cole stumbled back a little and gripped the front of his shirt. His heart was beating wildly. Did he fall even deeper in love with Shiru? Was that even possible? He was just so cool that it was impossible not to fall for him or at least not admire the guy... Though, everyone admired the prince.... for one reason or another.

 

Finally Cole shook his head and came back to reality where he grabbed his lunch and finally followed heading towards the cafeteria. As he approached the room, a girl's shriek could be heard from probably down the hallway and when Cole glanced in from behind the door, there was Shiru standing before his Ex... Dumping water on her?! The shock was unlike anything he'd felt. Just like everyone else in the room, he was silent and all eyes.

 

What happened next was nothing short of amazing as it only took one punch from the prince to have the captain of the football team on his ass grabbing at his face as bright red blood gushed from it. It was a terrifying and awe-inspiring scene that left the cafeteria speechless until he explained why he did it. Then the place was filled with enough chatter to create a constant buzz were certain conversations could be picked out among the many.

 

Shiru of course just walked away after and grabbed the lunch Cole made him to go turn himself into the office. As he was approaching, Red-faced Cole from sheer embarrassment moved to plaster himself against the door so Shiru strode past him without even realizing he was there. What an amazing... badass!!

On cloud nine now, Cole took his lunch and at it on the roof where he barely had enough time to finish eating and get back to class. Though, it was totally worth it to see what Shiru did with his own eyes. Feeling better than he had in a long time, Cole managed to smile as he went into the classroom for the first time ever and sat in his seat just thinking about it.

 

So Shiru was never really mad at him? He was just worried and wanted to get even with the one that did this to him. Though.... what if more started to bully him for making the prince stand up for him... Obviously that wasn't what happened but the people in this school seemed to love changing and twisting stories to fit their personal drama quota or something like that.

Shiru was suspended for 2 days and had his student counsel position almost taken from him. The news of his punishment spread like wild fire.

 

When school ended. Shiru stood by his car - watching his fellow students leave. He waited until he saw Cole and quickly called him over.

 

"Hey. I just wanted to tell you that your lunch was really good. I ate all of it. "

He smiled at the boy as he leaned against his car. Technically Shiru was not suppose to be on school campus - but the Prince had waited to see and talk to Cole.

"Cole...I know this is sudden but- are you busy right now? I owe you a thank you for the lunch. Maybe we could hang out- catch a movie ."

"Yo! Shiru!!

The jerky baseball player quickly interrupted the twos conversations - and next to him was Ty.

"Oh my god man. Haha haha I can't believe you got suspended. Hahahaha!"

"Hilarious."

Ty glanced at Cole before turning his attention to Shiru .

"We're still going to your house to hang out...Right ?"

Shiru's eyes widened ever so slightly.

Crap I forgot !

"Oh uh--"

"Don't tell me you forgot man! This is the only day Ty and I don't have Pratice. You can't bail out now. "

Shiru sighed - and quickly unlocked his car unwilling to argue with them.

"Get in.."

He muttered. Rolling his eyes. Akria hollered with joy hopping in the front seat and Ty got in the back.

 

Shiru scratched the back of his head as he tried to meet the Cole's eyes. The other just kept looking away.

"Sorry about that. Maybe tomorrow ? Or..."

He glanced back at his friends.

"There's another seat in the back..if you wanna come over. "

He gave the other his princely smile.

"And don't worry about them...The only person that might give you trouble is Akria and he's a idiot so. "

He shrugged.

 

He watched the others expression seeing how unease he became by his offer. Perhaps he felt like he was bothing him and his time with his friends.

"You look like your about to tell me no.."

He laughed a little.

He sighed flicking his hair from his eyes, grinning.

"If I told you that I want you to come..would that make you change your mind?"

Cole was definitely on edge after Shiru had to leave. Due to the fact that he was the reason that the prince was suspended, there seemed to be even more animosity towards the blonde. Though, there were some that actually showed some concern towards him. A couple guys would even congratulate him on getting the prince to stand up for him and then they'd turn around and threaten him to back off and stay as far away from Shiru as possible. There were a lot of confusing messages that left an empty pit in his stomach.

 

Now having to step carefully around the school, Cole rushed out of class that day and managed to get out the door as quickly as possible. It was easier to avoid the majority of attention but froze solid when he was called out by a familiar voice. Shiru stood near the gate and approached him... Why was he so focused on the blonde?

 

Cole walked over and listened to the other practically ask him out on a date... though it couldn't actually be a date it was just trying to repay him for the lunch.... but that lunch could have just been a thank you for all the help... Cole opened his mouth and was about to protest but was quickly interrupted by Shiru's two friends.

 

The three spoke with one another and Cole wanted to just escape but his legs held him still until he was once again addressed. The situation was incredibly uncomfortable and Cole just wanted to refuse the request... Apparently it was obvious because before he could any anything, Shiru said what Cole was thinking.

 

"If I told you that I want you to come..would that make you change your mind?"

 

Well that was the most ensnaring thing Cole had ever heard. Every part of him wanted to say no but every part of him also wanted him to say yes. "A-Alright...." he managed. Though... the last time he had taken a drive with Shiru all hell broke loose and he broke up with his girlfriend... Wouldn't he lose his friends if he did this? The boy seemed scared and really wanted to run away.

Shiru could read the others expressions, it was like..he wanted to run away. Like he him self was making the blonde extremely uncomfortable but he wanted to help Cole.

"..You look so unhappy..I'm not that bad..you'll be fine...I'm sure you'll have a good time.. Lets go. "

 

Shiru hopped in his car and started his mustang up. His friends stared at Cole.

"Why's he here?

"Because I invited him..You got a problem ?"

He asked- slowly pulling out of the parking lot .

"What ever ..your house I guess...tch"

Ty glanced at the new tag along but said nothing.

 

Out of the three , Akria was the only one that said mean things to the gay teen and bullied him the most , Ty just kind of ignored him and Shiru was always kind to him. It was a odd and strange mix.

 

To pass the time- Shiru turned on the radio, which started playing a ton of popular songs. Akria and Shiru happily sang along out load -while Ty quietly lipped sinked and bobbed his head to the music. It was a 23 minute drive to his house.

"Home sweet home"

Shiru unlocked the door to his very large and luxurious mansion. Shiru was extremely wealthy!

 

 

 

"God I love your house. "

Shiru shrugged.

"Its hard not too.."

"Ty! Come play me in Call of Duty!"

The two males hurried inside to sit on the couch and play each other , Shiru had every consul known to man.

 

When Cole finally came inside, the Prince gave him a quick tour of his two story house.

"And..that's pretty much it."

He said as he showed the boy his backyard and pool. Shiru had a beautiful home. With a game room, movie theatre , and a small bowling alley under the home. He lived in paradise and had 5 star everything. Even a music room and library that was mostly his parents but he often used them anyway.

"...I-its a lot to take in.."

He muttered -slipping his hands into his pockets.

"..How about we go back inside and join Ty and Akria...Is there anything you wanna play ? I pretty much have everything.."

Looks like he was a bit too obvious with the look on his face because Shiru was trying to calm the blonde down and continue to convince him to come. Of course, it really was impossible to refuse so Cole nodded and got into the car behind the driver's seat.

 

Instantly, Cole could feel all eyes on him as he sat there. Akira wasn't known for his holding back but at least Ty stayed quiet and didn't make things even more awkward. A short while into the drive and Shiru turned on the radio. Of course, while two of them sang loudly, one mouthed the words and moved his head, Cole didn't do anything. He managed to relax a little but his eyes were still on his knees as they drove.

 

Though, when they finally did arrive at the mansion, Cole looked up in absolute shock. This place was enormous. He stared in utter amazement at the size of the building. The blonde had no idea a place like this even existed in town. Of course, Cole was the last to get out of the car and to enter the mansion. Thankfully, to cut the tension Shiru showed him around the building. It felt even bigger on the inside... He certainly didn't want to get lost.

"It's amazing....." he said in a quiet voice when they made it out to the pool. Seriously.... how could a building like this exist in such a small town?! This was a building you wouldn't have to ever leave!! Maybe getting suspended from school was a good thing for Shiru... Why did he bother going to that school anyway?

 

"I'm fine with just watching," He said in response to what he wanted to play. Honestly, Cole wasn't that great at video games and he didn't want to embarrass himself any more than he seemed to have already in front of his crush. Though, Cole hadn't even realized that he wasn't stuttering at the moment. He found himself more relaxed and finally able to talk... though, that didn't change that he was on cloud nine being able to hang out with Shiru.

Shiru faintly smiled at the other. He had finally got him to not only smile but..maybe even relax. Cole wasn't even studdering!

"Are you sure?..If you wanna jump in and play something just tell me and I'll show you. "

He lead the other back inside where Ty and Akria were playing a very intense fighting game.

"Take that! And that!"

Akria was twirling his analog stick like crazy and mashing buttons. He even stood on his feet - slightly sticking his tongue out .

"Don't you do it! Ha!!! Stay down Ty. Nnnnnnn ssshit shit shit! Combo move ! Comb move! ......... AND K.O.!!! In your face

"Whatever. "

Ty mutters and tosses his controller on the table.

"Alright . Alright. Someones gotta teach you some manners. "

Shiru grinned, stepping up to the table and taking the controller.

"Rematch.. Don't worry Ty. I'll redeem your honor ~"

"Please."

He grinned a little. Shiru sat himself on the couch and made room for Cole next to him.

"Cole.. Sit. Your not gonna wanna miss this."

Akria glared at the gay boy- rolling his eyes.

"Your on Mr. Prince Charming ."

Cole felt surprisingly confident as he and Shiru walked back into the room where the other two were playing... he wasn't strutting but at least he was walking without staring at his feet and fidgeting with his fingers. It was the best he'd felt in a long while.

 

The two walked in on Akira and Ty battling it out. Akira seemed really into it while the other was a little more reserved as he played. This was just like the car ride all over again with the former singing loudly while Ty just seemed to go with the flow. They really were interesting guys and Cole's smile never left... That was, until he was offered to sit down.

 

"Cole.. Sit. Your not gonna wanna miss this."

 

After hearing those words, Cole didn't replace the smile with a frown but his mouth was left slightly open to the shock of the offer. However, before he could take a step forward and take a seat, the glare he got from Akira brought him right back to reality. Cole wasn't one of them... He was a stranger that wasn't particularly liked.

 

"I'm alright, I can see from here..." Rather than sitting next to Shiru, the blonde stood behind the couch where he couldn't be seen right away but had full view of the TV they were playing on. Cole could feel his confidence slip away as he stood back there watching with his fingers shifting together. It was a cliche sign for the lack of confidence but Cole couldn't help himself.

Shiru was taken a back by the others response but didn't try to push him.

"Alright. If you say so."

Rather than sitting next to him the shy boy stood behind the couch fidding with his fingers again. A habit Shiru quickly noticed. It was a cliche sign for the lack of confidence Cole had but...Shiru found it..rather cute.

"DAMN IT!! Again!"

"You wanna lose a 8th time?"

"I'm determined to beat you."

"Yeah well I'm tired of kicking your ass ."

Shiru grinned a little making Ty snicker.

"Akria let Ty play."

Akria frowned and handed the controller to Ty.

"tch here. "

Shiru looked back at Cole smiling softly at him and he handed the boy his controller .

"Why don't you give it a try Cole . I'll show you how to play . Ty will even go easy on you...right ?"

He said looking back at his friend.

"Yeah. Sure. "

Shiru pated the empty seat on the couch next to him wanting the blonde to sit.

"Come on.. It'll be fun."

 

Akria just rolled his eyes .

Cole was able to relax again as he watched the two play the game round after round. He even managed a small and gentle smile when Shiru looked back at him after having Akira hand his controller over to Ty. It was nice to be able to just hang around them even though he knew he was a total outcast among them.

 

"Why don't you give it a try Cole . I'll show you how to play . Ty will even go easy on you...right ?"

 

Once again, Shiru extended an offer that the blonde wasn't too comfortable with. Though, he did take a minute to look over at Akira who he figured would object. He rolled his eyes but kept his mouth shut and Ty, while not really caring for him, didn't even do that much. He seemed fine with anything. Maybe this really was alright.

 

Cole gave a nervous smile and nodded with a simple, "Alright" before stepping around the couch and sitting next to Shiru. He could feel his heart race already as he sat there so close to his crush and even used his controller... It was just a small thing but to Cole, it meant the world.

 

"S-Sorry... I've never played before." Damn... he stuttered again... What was worse was that he was only now aware of it which only ever made it worse.... He took a breath and focused on the controller trying to get a feel for which button was which. He looked like he'd never played on this system before.... or any system for that matter. Though, it was hard to distinguish if that the fact that he really hadn't played or if he was just really nervous given the situation and environment he was playing in.

Shiru reassured him. As Shiru tried to show him how to play , he couldn't help but notice how confused Cole was...as if he'd never played on this system before.... or any system at all .

"A is to jump. And double jump is A twice . Hold down Y to charge up power and press B to attack..doing that lands a special combo move. Other wise just pressing B will be punching and kicking. X is to throw knifes and use LB and RB to block and use your analog stick to run. Got it ?"

His hands touch Coles trying to guide him.. He couldn't explain why he suddenly had taken an interest in the other but....whatever the reason was, he was glad.

"Go easy on him. Will ya Ty."

"Yeah. "

"Good luck. "

He smirked at Cole as the game started.

Out of the 5 times Cole played Ty. He won twice. Which was pretty good. After the fight Shiru retrieved the controller from him.

"See that wasn't so bad. You did pretty good ."

Ty nodded to the other before looking over his phone.

"What ever - I'm hungry Shiru. Mind if I order pizza?"

"Sure.. Do you want anything Cole? Are you hungry ?"

He asking looking at him.

Cole was rather nervous with Shiru being so close to him, even touching his hands. Damn... the blonde thought his heart was going to beat right out of his chest if he didn't do something about this fast.... Though, the prince certainly helped him by trying to explain the controls. This seemed like a really complicated game... How could one game have so many different moves and buttons to press?

 

Taking a quick breath, Cole was going to ask for one more explanation when the game suddenly started. Cole panicked and tried to figure it out on his own only to end in a complete failure. The second one almost looked like a fight and the third, he finally won one. After the first win, the half Englishman looked rather surprised and happy as he continued to play another two rounds.

"I was completely nervous and that last time was close... I just got lucky there was enough space to be able to use that last move," Cole admitted. He managed not to stutter as he felt more comfortable.... That was until Akira spoke up making him jump.

 

"Oh... Uh... Anything's fine for me... Actually, I probably should head home... M-My mom is probably making dinner!" Cole couldn't even look at Shiru knowing his mom probably wasn't even home yet.... Today she said she was going out with some friends and wouldn't be back until late.

 

Anyway, Cole took the opportunity to get up to try and leave.

Shiru watched Cole as he stood to leave.

"Do you need a ride ?"

He offered. He did bring the other here.

 

Shiru had the urge to get to know Cole. He was interested in him.

" I don't mind. Really.."

He smiled gently .

"But, you h-have guests..." Cole managed. He wanted to take Shiru up on the offer... it would give them time together alone and the distance just to the front gate was crazy far... He'd never make it home in time without a ride.... Though, the normal thing to do was to text his mom to pick him up... if she was home wouldn't that be normal?

 

Suddenly, he realized that if he was driven home Shiru might see that his mom wasn't actually there. Why'd he have to lie....?! Cole stared down at his feet for a while clearly unsure what to do. The added pressure of Ty and Akira being there was absolutely killing him.
