M-jow
MC: Name: Yuki Nasutmi Age: 20 Occupation: Works as volunteer at the animal shelter (His family is loaded so he doesn’t need money) Likes: Sweets, Animals, Painting/Drawing. Dislikes: Hospitals, Crowded places, Sour food, people treating him like a retarded person. Yuki has lived almost his entire life as mute, and no one can seem to could figure out the reason why he at the age of five lost his voice. The thing about him not being able to talk has affected him a lot while growing up. Though he can do a bit of hand sign, he still can’t do much and mostly just ends up writing it down instead. Yuki lost the hope of ever getting to speak again a long time ago. At the age of 10, he had been though 22 surgery’s and been checked by some of the best doctors in the world. They had all claimed that they knew just what to do, but in the end, nothing really work or helped. Yuki has a very normal family, whom he loves dearly. And even though they are all highly protective off him, and tries his best not to snap at them to much, specialty at his older brother Ichiro. Yuki doesn’t have the chance to talk to many people, which is why he loves his job at the animal shelter, it gives him something to do and he really loves animals. He lives alone in his apartment and dose all the house work himself, but pretty much 70% of the food he makes ends up not eatable, so he mostly eats takeout. He tried to makes to look like everything is okay, but meeting him, Yuki got this cut of personality where he lets people know what they need and nothing more. But underneath he is just unsure and quite shy as well as frustrated. He has never once been in a relationship, because they wouldn’t understand him anyway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yuki sigh, still pretty annoyed that his farther had found him yet another doctor to tell him stuff which he already knew. He had tried to text his dad after the call, to tell him that he didn’t needed another doctor. But his dad just answered that the man was already on his way over. Well just great, Yuki didn’t want to acted like a spoiled brat, but he really didn’t like the way his parents couldn’t just leave it up to him, Yuki was an adult after all. He might as well make some tea, the doctor would do his thing, what exactly made his dad think that this one was different Yuki didn’t know. After he had set the water to boil, he went quickly through the apartment just to check that nothing was laying around, he didn’t get many visitors, and even though it was a doctor in which he didn’t needed, the place could still look nice. Yuki really loved his home, it was filled with warm colors pleasant to the eye, lot of space and comfortable furniture. Most of the pictures on the walls was either of family or some of his best painting and drawings he had made throughout the years. As he heard the doorbell ring. Yuki went out to open the door. He got a quick glans of himself in the hallway mirror by the door before reaching the it. His long-sleeved black shirt and dark blue jeans looked okay, it was his day off and he hadn’t felt like doing much with his hair, but it didn’t look messy. He checked the peek-hold before opening the door, it was one of those things his brother had insisted he did. The man looked young nothing like those old geezers Yuki had been examined by in the past. He opened the door trying his best to give the man a friendly smile, and said “Hallo” with his hand. He really didn’t think that this one would be any different from his past doctors, but there was no need to make the man feel bad, after all he was just doing his job. Miki_
It was another day in the hospital in psychiatrist department. Jun was typing his report in his computer about his patient that he had examined a while ago. The patient was a female who was diagnosed with dyslexia, a learning disability when a person cannot read. Jun helped her by doing some trainings and therapies for her every week. Jun knew when to stop or help more when she was frustrated because he could read her mind. Jun had the ability to read minds which helped him to helped patients more. Only small number of people knew him because he didn't want to be known publicly due to his fear of getting hurt. Finishing off his report, Jun checked his clock on his computer and realized that he was late. Few days ago, he was called in for another job outside of the hospital. He was assigned to help a man who had disability of speaking. Even though he was busy with work, he couldn't say no to the job because he felt the need to help the man. The doctor hurriedly took off his white coat and hung it on the chair before grabbing his bag to leave. He quickly took a cab and went straight to the address he was sent to. After paying the cab, Jun entered an expensive looking apartment. The place was quite fancy with the curtains, decorations, and the couches. Jun walked up to the desk for permission to go his patient's house. "Hello, My name's Jun Mizuki. I'm here for Mr. Nasutmi." Jun smiled kindly at the woman behind the desk. The woman looked at him then back at her computer with a serious facial expression. Jun looked at the woman and read her mind. 'Ugh, I just want to rest now.' Thought the woman. She looked at Jun and approved, "Yes, you may go." Jun gave a nod at the woman and headed off to the elevator. Jun felt nervous while he was riding the elevator. He only helped the patients in the hospital, but not in their house. The door opened slowly, revealing the corridor. The male took his first step outside the elevator. He walked forward to his patient's house. When he was in front of the door, he ringed the bell. Before the door could open, Jun made the sure his tie was fixed and his clothes straightened out. Jun pushed his finger through his jet black hair. Suddenly, the door opened revealing a young male about in his 20's. The man had soft brown hair with amazing blue eyes that shined against the sun. Jun was startled by the beautiful looking man, but as soon as he read the male's mind, he ended up letting out a small laugh. The patient was underestimating him, but he didn't mind because he understood the male's frustration about having to get checked up with a doctor. When Jun's eyes met the male's he realized the male was saying hi to him and Jun was being completely rude. Jun bowed his head and gave his hello as hand sign too. "Do you mind if you show me around your house?" Jun asked politely. To treat a patient in private, he had to look around the house to see the environment and adjust himself to it. M-jow
Yuki nodded and signaled for the man to come in. A tour? sure he could do that. He waited for the man in the hallway, while he studied him. The doctor was taller than him, and Yuki was about the average height. His appearance didn't make him stand out much, but he had a kind face. Yuki thought that the man couldn't much older than himself, the guy looked to be in his 20s. Yuki had never had anyone around his own age as a doctor before, maybe at the end of the day this could be interesting in the end. From the hallway lead Yuki them into the living-room with a open kitchen area, all in white and brown design. The entire apartment had been newly renovated before he had moved in. But in time he had found lots of nice colorful thing to put in instead of boring and uncomfortable leather furniture. His couch was in a soft blue fabric, and ever picture frame and things on his shelves was in different colors. There were handmade carpets on the wooden floor, and in the kitchen there hang old funny kitchen stuff on the walls, most of it he didn't knew what was for, but they looked nice hanging there. From the living room Yuik moved on to the bathroom which was just big enough keep a bathtub with a shower and the other facilities in it. It was the only place Yuki's creative self hadn't touched. The space felt like something form a cottage, almost everything was made in light brown wood, and the skylight brightened the room enough up doing the day. After this there were only two rooms left, his bedroom and his fun room as his brother did call it. Yuki opened the door to his bedroom to show what it was, he wasn't really interested in entering. The room pretty much looked the same as the living-room with the exception for the big bed and wardrobes. Then Yuki moved onto the last door, only stopping for a second to consider how it certainly did looked like inside, but opened the door anyway. It was a small room with only a desk and a cabinet for his paint and stuff. Along the wall stood empty canvas and an easel in the corner. There was paint spots all over the floor, some on the walls and even on the ceiling to. Well he had tried to keep the room clean, but some of the paint just wouldn't come off again, in a way it gave the room character.
Miki_
When his patient started to walk, Jun guessed that he could enter as well. As Jun walked through the hallway, he could see the living which was quite huge. The designs were fascinating with different colors and equipments. One thing caught Jun eyes; which was the kitchen. One of Jun's hobby was cooking which he got inherited by his grandma. The male slid his fingers on the kitchen wall, feeling the cold surface. Next, the young man brought him to the bathroom which was big as his own bedroom. The male brought him to his bedroom. The male's bed looked very comfortable to Jun. Eversince he was young, he wanted to lay on a huge bed. Jun's hands twitched, holding himself back from jumping on to the fluffy looking bed. Last room was the male's painting room. A room filled with colors. There were beautiful arts that captivated Jun's eyes. Fascinated by the messy room, but somehow it made feel Jun very comfortable. The room was full of positivity. "What a beautiful room you have." Jun whispered softly at male, smiling. Before the male could give him a hand signal, Jun grabbed the male's hand and spoke, "I will help you to speak." He stared at the male's eyes and confirm that he was being sincere.
M-jow
Yuki send a smile back to the man and nod his thanks. Though the doctor looked determined, was Yuki's mind blank from emotions. Being unable to speak in 15 years, had already made him face the fact of reality. If he was meant to speak wouldn't it already had happened?. Even though he still envied people who could talk, Yuki had started to accepted that things just wasn't always fair in life. Yuki wanted to say that he had made tea, but didn't know how to signal it. The best he could do was to mimic a cup and tried to make it into something like `Would you like something to drink?´
Miki_
When Jun was young, he was treated as an insect by his mother because of his ability. Whenever he saw his mother, he could read her mind, saying nasty stuff about him. She would also make him shut his eye forcefully by threatening him that she was going to stab his eyes off. His mother's voice haunted till today. When Jun looked at his patient, he really wanted to help him, so that he doesn't have to go through a lot of pain. As the male nodded, Jun was able to see emotions swirling around in his beautiful eyes. He could read the others mind about doubting that he could speak. The doctor's face saddened at the thoughts that the other male was having. He wasn't pitying him, but he knew how the male felt because he once felt the same thing. Jun always wondered, why him having to have the other ability. It was such a stressful thing to have. He did not think it was a gift because everyone thought that he was a monster. Except, his grandmother thought that it was a gift. She told Jun that he should be thankful that he can read other's mind. Her exact words were, "You need to cherish your gift, Jun. There are others with disability that affect their own lives. Some people can't talk, hear, nor see. Your ability is the path to save them from their pain." From that they on, Jun decided to help the ones that needed his help. Jun looked at the male again and read his mind. He was asking if he wanted to have some tea. Jun let out a small chuckle. He nodded at the male and spoke, "Of course, I would like to have something to drink. Or I can say, your handmade tea? Also, we can talk about treatment. Or we can call it, the fun session." Jun winked the male, giving a smile. "Come on, I want to taste your tea." Jun eagerly spoke, wanting to really taste the man's tea.
M-jow
Yuki frown, how did he know it was tea? Either Yuki was a lot better to mimic than what he gave himself credit for, or maybe the man was just really good at interpreting. But still, it could had been coffee for all he knew. Oh well. Yuki went back into the livlig-room. He signaled for the man to take a seat before he moving on to the kitchen. He took two cups from the cabinet and poured in the tea which had been soaking in the teapot. Yuki held up the milk while looking back at the man, asking if he wanted it in. Yuki may not be a good cook, but he could always make tea. And this tea really tasted the best with milk. But he still asked, who knew if the doctor could be allergic or something. That had actually happen before. When Yuki had gotten a answer, he gave one of the cups to the man and took a seat for himself. And just for a precaution Yuki had taken his writing pad and pencil with him. The first thing he throught off writing, how they were going to do this. But instead he wrote "Whats your name?" Miki_
The other male started to walk to the kitchen, and Jun followed him like a lost puppy. Looking around the kitchen once more, Jun sat down on the chair that he was ordered to. Jun sat still, not saying anything, but watching the other. His eyes traced the long, slim fingers that wrapped around the two small cups. The other male swiftly poured the tea in, impressing Jun. The male noticed Jun staring at him. He had a milk on his head and signaled if Jun wanted it. Even if the male didn't signal him, he knew what the male was asking because he could read his mind. The doctor gladly accepted the offer. After the patient was finish preparing the tea, he took a seat also. Jun took a sip of the tea, savoring the flavor. As soon as the hot tea hit Jun's taste bud, the male's eyes automatically closed. He could imagine himself in a mountain where he was laying down looking at the beautiful sky. Imagining how blue sky is. When Jun opened his eyes, he saw that the male had written something on a writing pad, asking what his name was. He looked at the male's eyes, and chuckled. Jun took a sip of the tea first before answering his question. "Hello, my name;s Jun Mizuki. I don't really mind you calling me Jun or Dr. Mizuki." He put his hand out, "You must be Mr. Natsumi?" "So, first before we start the treatment, I need to know more about you such as what you like, dislike, hobbies, or anything about yourself. Do you mind telling me?" Suddenly, Jun realized that he forgot to tell the male about his ability, but he wanted to tease the male a bit more so he decided not to tell him. M-jow
Yuki nodded and shook Jun's hand. He would had told the doctor to just call him Yuki as well. But because he couldn’t speak he just wrote it under the last question. Yuki didn't mind telling Jun about himself, but he didn't know how that information could help. None of the others doctor had ever been instead in his personal life, but oh well. Yuki took some sips of his tea while thinking. What did he like? Well the basics would be his familiy, good food, painting and his work. While thinking about it, he noted the things down in a "Like zone" he draw on the papirer. He noted painting and work as hobbies as well, but the "Dislike zone" seemed to be more difficult to answer. Yuki couldn't really think of anything at first, but the he throught about the way people often treated him. And wrote "People who see me as weak". He hoped that Jun would understand it, because this was the only nice way he could say it. When Yuki felt that he had it all, he slide the papirer over the table to Jun, and sat back in his chair, sillently wacthing the doctor.
Miki_
While Yuki was writing down his answers on paper, Jun couldn't stop looking at Yuki's bony slim long finger. The male's hands twitched to hold the male hands. Jun realized what he was thinking and shook his head. He put his hands over his face, feeling his face heat up. Jun felt a paper slide up to his spot. He put his hand down and grabbed the paper. He had different facial expressions as he read the information. When spotted the word "painting," it was pretty obvious that Yuki liked painting. He even had a room for his hobby. Jun's eyes furrowed when he read the male's dislike. He couldn't help it but feel torn for the male. Jun gripped the paper tightly and looked at Yuki. "Yuki, I won't let you give up on me." "First, we will start with a few exercise. I will write a word on a card and try to mouth it and push yourself to let your voice out." Jun grabbed some paper cards from his bag and wrote words on each card. Each card had a word and all together, it said, "Trust me." Jun grabbed the first index card and held it out. "Would you please mouth the word?" M-jow
"Yuki, I won't let you give up on me." . Yuki laughed a soundless laugh by those words, this man was kind of strange but not in a bad way. Jun was so eager to help him, and Yuki couldn’t detect any pity in his voice when he spoke. Yuki didn't really get it, but Jun's words made him feel confident and warm inside. As Jun mentioned the cards, Yuki could hardly keep himself from rolling eyes. He had only done those exercise like a million times before, but when Jun held up the card, Yuki still tried the best he could. He had seen how Jun’s lips had pronounced the word, and tried really hard to make the air catch on to something in his throat as he tried to speak “Trust”. Though instead of a voice, the thing to passed his lips was an airy breath. Yuki tried a few more times, but nothing change. Well he hadn’t expected anything, but it still irritated him just a bit. He tried with “Me” which was the same. Yuki looked from the card to Jun and shook his head.
Miki_
Jun held his hand with his card, trembling inside. He had the what if thoughts in his head. Maybe Yuki might be able to talk if he tried, was Jun's thoughts but it didn't happen. Yuki wasn't able to say the word. Jun put his cards down, breathing in and out. He still had a lot chances to help Yuki to speak, and Jun was never gonna give up on that. "Hmm, Yuki I feel like this isn't going to work," Jun spoke out, he didn't want his patient to feel bad. "How about you show me what your daily life looks like? Can you show me what you do in your free time?" He knew that Yuki liked to paint, maybe he could listen to Yuki's thoughts while having him to paint was Jun's idea. After all, being a doctor was hard, but he had to try his best. Yuki's father asked him to cure his son for him. (Q.Q I'm sorry, I have school field trip to go and I will be back 3 days later.)
M-jow
“You don’t say” Yuki thought to himself as a comment to the doctor, in a laugh. It was funny to watch the man who was just a disappointed about the card trick as Yuki had been. He bit his lower lip in thoughts at the question after. Yuki still didn’t get why the guy needed to know this much about him, in a way he didn’t like the idea. But he hated the thought of not having done whatever needed to be done before giving up on speaking for good. Maybe he could paint? No, he wasn’t in no mood to, and he properly wouldn’t be able to paint much while having the doctor watching him. But then how would he be able to show Jun, what he normal would do? And then it hit him, he could take the doctor with him to his workplace, he had promised to print some papiers and bring them by tomorrow as he got there, but it wouldn’t hurt deliver them today. “Then do you have time taking a walk with me?” Yuki asked Jun using his pad yet again.
