Omegaverse, what is a knot?

Hello there! :Wink: I have just recently found out what was an omega verse, I am not a native English speaker, therefore I have no clue what is the meaning of a 'knot' in those type of situation. Any gentle soul here that can guide me?

Well, as far as I know a knot is a kind of "bump" towards the base of the penis which only the alphas have. It helps increase the possibility of impregnating their partner.

 

They are reproductive organs of canid animals called 'bulbus glandis'.

The knot is the part at the base of the alpha penis that enlarges at the time of the eyacuation during the periods of heat (omega) and rut (alpha).

It was already explained well.

The knot goes into the same category as retroserrated genitalia. The main point is that the two partners stay connected for a while after ejaculation allowing enough time for certain insemination eg excluding other potential rivals from sexual intercourse with the selected partner and thus counteracting competition.
