Raychu
Name: Silas Thalion Age: 24 Position: Reversible Species: Human Height: 6’0” Weight: 156 lbs Birthday: February 16th Zodiac: Aquarius Nationality: Northern Province Sexuality:Homosexual Hair Color: Black/White Streaks Eye Color: Forest Green Weapon: Lance with an embedded magic stone (though the magic is weak and limited) Extra: Silas, though he tries to stick to his uniform, he’ll trade out articles of clothing to allow for freer movement. He keeps the longer strand of hair on his right side, neatly braided, trying to add a unique look to stand out. He has three helix piercings and a piercing on his earlobe on each ear. The whites streaks in his hair are because of the curse, it slowly turns his hair white. Personality: Silas is a clumsy sort of guy. He often trips over his own feet, or drops his lance when trying to fight off a criminal. He is a spacey guy that usually has his heads in the clouds, most normally, he’s dazed from sleeping too much. He is soft-hearted and good-willed, though, he’ll attempt to give a proper beating when necessary. He can be grumpy when he doesn’t get enough sleep, and accidentally snap at the good civilians. He’s a hopeful guy without any fortune coming his way. He daydreams that the curse would just vanish. Likes: Knitting, the comfort of his home, sleeping, baked goods, being frugal, and his job. Dislikes: His misfortune, nature, flowerpots, wasting money, being lectured, and early mornings. Occupation: Knight Bio: Silas never grew up with his real parents, handed off to his aunt, his parents ran off. Where they are, he would never know. Ever since he could remember, his life has been full of misfortune and unlucky incidents. It was silly, minor things like falling items (most commonly flowerpots), getting caught in a downpour almost every time it rained, being chased by wild animals, and being framed for a crime he didn’t commit. One fateful day, a witch stopped in their province and informed him, he had been cursed the evil deeds of his parents. Unaware of their crimes, he continued to live unlucky. However, one time he was surprisingly fortunate. A knight saved the pot from falling on him, which inspired him to become a hero as well. Well, become the best he could with his situation. This was everyday life. The torture of walking along the street, vulnerable to the rocks life would throw. Maybe it was the knight’s fault for going outside when he knew the dangers that lay ahead. Of course, he also had a job, which forced him to go out as well. He couldn’t live off of just bread and knitting. He needed to earn money, which meant working, and that was why he was currently outside. All he wanted to do was make a living for himself. Not the nonsense he was currently being faced with. He didn’t expect to be given a fortune out of pity, or a more comforting home from kindness. He just wanted a few days that didn’t involve him running until he was ready to keel over in his grave and die. He didn’t ask for this, it was given to him, by force. By a merciless witch. Silas was cursed as a baby, by an unknown witch. He only met her once, and he believed it wouldn’t be the last. Many people tried to bring down his hope with their negativity, however he couldn’t be broke. Somewhere, he felt he could reason with this heartless woman and force her to reverse the curse. It was his parents who had wronged her, not him. He was a knight, trying to atone the sins his parents may have committed in the past… or now. The knight didn’t know his parents, they left him when he was a baby, leaving to find their own adventure. They weren’t good parents nor could he believe they were good people. There was too much proof that they were nothing but menaces to this world. He couldn’t forgive them for leaving him to take the punishment from the witch. Back to the real problem at hand. The knight was currently being kidnapped by a bunch of traitorous pests. Why? Well, you see, they mistook him for the prince at first glance. How? Well, that was something Silas never understood. They weren’t even thorough enough properly check and make sure they had the right person. It was laughable how many times the knight had taken the fall for the prince. He wasn’t a bad guy, he was just lucky enough to never have to deal with these problematic situations. The knight never actually dealt with the prince first hand, he kind of just lingered behind, allowing the others to speak with him instead. “You won’t get away with this!” Silas kicked one of the kidnappers in the stomach, only to get punched in return. They gagged him and dragged him away. He kicked and fought with all of his might, only to no avail in the end. The knight had to wait it out, as usual. Sooner or later someone would come and save him. That was the only thing that kept him hopeful. He believed there would be someone to save him from everything. The kidnappings, the flowerpots, and the curse. People laughed at his optimism and just shrugged of his useless hope. Even if it was childish of him to think that, he still couldn’t shake that someone would help him, sooner or later. If he let his hope go, there would be nothing of him left, and he wouldn’t take the risk of being a knight as his job. Getting the gag off, he opened his mouth, and began to yell. He yelled for help, only to have the men cover his mouth. This was useless. They were too far in the forest to get any help at the moment. It had to be a day before anyone noticed his absence. To think they would notice him missing sooner. No one really noticed anything about him. That was his luck. It took awhile before the men noticed they made a mistake, before his partners noticed he was missing, before someone noticed he was unconscious in a dark alley. It was almost miserable to say, he was used to this, and that’s why he kept him chin up. Finally, the day had passed. Silas slept off his boredom as he waited for his heroes to arrive. Finally, Sir Jean, his mentor arrested the kidnappers, and saved Silas from any sort of harm. That was the one thing he should be thankful for. Sure, flowerpots hurt him, but he never had any real dangerous harm come to him. No cuts, blood, or near death experiences. That was a real fortune. Silas got to live another day, even with a few accidents here or there. “Your highness, we hope there was no harm done to you? We regret to inform you, some of your men are traitors, and attempted to kidnap you. Sir Silas here was able to put them under arrest before they had the chance,” Sir Jean said, kneeling beneath the prince’s feet. This time, he forced Silas to attend, giving him all the glory for capturing the criminal. At least his mentor cared enough to make him seem a little cooler than he actually is. “Yes. Hopefully there was nothing done within the castle either, your highness,” Silas said after his mentor, kneeling along with him. His duty was to protect. In a weird way, he did. Even if he ended up in the prince’s position instead. It wasn’t the first and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. virtualoo
Name: Daiki Hoshiko Age:25 Position: Reversible Species: Human Height: 5' 11" Weight: 150 lbs. Birthday: December 5th Zodiac: Sagittarius Nationality: (?) Northern Province Sexuality: Uncertain Hair Color: Honey Blonde Eye Color: Sapphire Blue Weapon: Saber incrusted with the family seal on the handle Personality: Daiki always found himself blessed with good fortunes for as long as he could remember. As a ruler, he usually rules that which will benefit the most people but if there is a just cause that could better lives, he would pick this option. Some aspects of the royal life do bore him and finds ways to amuse himself once it has been taken cared of. His curiosity does get the better of him sometimes.. Likes: His kingdom, family, a good meal, animals Dislikes: Spiders, betrayal of trust Occupation: Prince Bio: The first son of the royal family, he grew up in the lap of luxury. While most royal affairs bored him, he loved being beside his mother and father going about their daily activities when he was not at lessons on various topics. Daiki does have one little sister but as the eldest, he will take the throne upon his parents passing. There was one night where he got curious on the forbidden art of sorcery. It drew him in with his curiosity and on late nights, when he knows no one will catch him, attempts to study it himself. Daiki went about his day as any other day, nothing too out of the ordinary that day. It was the usual routine, make sure the kingdoms affairs are in order and try to maintain a certain level of peace in the kingdom. Sure the occasional problem will arise but they are normally minor and are easily dealt with. Sometimes, he would need to hold court to hear the problems of some of his citizens. He slowly took on more and more responsibility from his parents when they deemed him ready for such tasks. While Daiki had many responsibilities now, he was still the Prince. More would weigh on his head when it would become official. With good wishes, his parents will have many more years ahead of them in their reign. But for now, life was good and he felt blessed with the good fortune that seemed to embody his everyday life. Daiki thought the next day would be just as plain, no pressing issues needing to be addressed. But it seemed today would not be one of those days. As he sat on his throne, two of his knights knelt before him and told him news that he was rather not fond of hearing. Some of his men were traitors and had plans to kidnap him, although unsuccessful. It hurt him to have some of his men betray him in such a way, wounding his pride and cutting deep. Daiki liked to think he was a fair and just ruler so the betrayal stung him. He tried not to dwell on it further... "No harm has come to me or the castle" Daiki said with a small nod of his head. "While I regret that this happened, In any case I do thank you. I did not have to end up in that situation because you were able to make that arrest" Daiki said with a smile. At least his good fortune enabled him to avoid a kidnapping and possibly more further harm. "I am glad you both remain faithful to me in such times. I place great trust in my men so it hurts when I am betrayed. It really is saddening.." Daiki sighed as he felt he could be a tad less formal in front of them and let down a small front by showing some of his emotion from being upset about all this. Raychu
"Your highness if I may speak," Jean said in a soothing tone, he stood. Even now, it amazed Slias how calm the guy could be, enough to calm the worries of others. He was so old now, it was almost time for him to leave, and live a peaceful life. That was something the younger knight began to yearn for. Even if he was hopeful, he was easily tired from all the chaos that surrounded him. Had his parents not been selfish and done the right thing, maybe he would've lived a better life. Not one full of misery and misfortune. No, instead, they had to be like those petty criminals on the street and leave a curse to haunt him. Now there was nothing for him to do. He just went with the flow of life in hopes something could change. He didn't get his hopes all the way up, to where he'd be extremely disappointed in the end. He just didn't let his hopes go either. Remaining hopeful helped him carry on the small, trivial things. It helped him see the brighter side. Even when it was suffocatingly dark. "This has happened far too many times. There is too many traitors within the castle. To the point it should be deemed dangerous. Do you not think you should take one of the knights in so he may be able to watch over you all day? It is much safer than hoping to catch the criminal within the act. Even if I may be speaking out of turn, it's for the safety of your majesty as well. No one knows what great terror may come to all four of you if you do not take in a knight to protect you," the older knight said loud and clear. Slowly Silas rose up, feeling awkward being the only one who kneeled. Maybe Jean was right. If the prince were to hire a knight to guard them every single minute, they would be in less danger, and maybe he'd stop being kidnapped by strange men. "I, too, believe you should find a knight to guard you. It would be a tragedy for a handsome and wonderful prince like yourself to end up severely injured or dead. The people love you, because you are a kind man. Which is why there are traitors. They want to kill a kindness because they are cruel," Silas finally spoke up, bowing his head formally. Even if the prince was willing to let his princely act down around them, even for a split second, a knight must always remain formal in front of royalty. It was the code they followed. They were the kingdoms humble knights, and they would show their gratitude by respecting them as the higher class they were. Clearly, Silas wasn't asking to be taken into the prince's home as the chosen knight to guard the royal family. That would bring nothing but misfortune and turmoil into their lives. The only reason the younger knight was there when the kid appears were caught because he was the one tied and gagged, like a pig on a platter. Many of the other knights teased him for his unlucky life and how he constantly faced the same problems day in and out. He just hoped the prince would find a suitable knight from the rotten apples in the barrel. Silas liked to believe he was a good man with a good heart, unlike other knights, who were violence first, conversation later. It was disappointing. That wasn't the knight's honor. "Once again, I would like to speak. I'm presenting you with the best knight within this province. Sir Silas Thalion, the most trustworthy of the men. I can assure your safety with him, and that he would never betray you. Hopefully you'll consider him as an option." Jean bowed, snickering under his breath. The younger knight was feeling a mixture of emotions. Confusion, anger, and humiliation. His mentor wanted him, a person who is nothing but bad luck, to live in the castle? That was madness. Did he want to embarrass one of his best students in front of the prince? That was crueler than violence. "Your highness if I may!" Jean put a finger to his lips, silencing his ex-student. Silas knew better than to speak once he was silenced. The younger knight fidgeted, playing with his fingers to distract himself from the words his mentor spoke. virtualoo
Daiki picked up his head when he heard the elder knight ask to speak. He wondered what he had to say and gestured him to go and speak what was on his mind. Daiki hoped the other might offer a solution to his woes or try to calm the feelings that were frayed and broken in his heart. Perhaps it was the ease and comfort in the others demeanor that made him calmer and returned back to his former princely demeanor. But now the question was, what did he have to say that might help this situation. The other began to speak and he listened to the other begin to explain the predicament within the castle. It did seem the traitors would pose a problem within the castle, traitors within the castle...his castle. It was then Daiki heard the knight suggest that he get a knight to guard him throughout the day for protection. "You are not wrong...It seems circumstances being what they are that it would be wise to have a knights protection at my side" Daiki answered, finding this a good suggestion. If not for the sake of his family, it would be for himself. It worried him greatly that attempts, even if unsuccessful, were made on him that they could do harm to his family. With protection, at least the heir to the throne will be better protected. "I am glad to hear that you both think highly of me.." Daiki said with a small smile, knowing they were speaking sincerely. Sure he knew the majority of people liked him but sometimes people may exaggerate a bit to seem kinder or better. Either way, now was not the time to think of such minor things. The issue at hand was his own protection at the hands of a knight. There were many knights that served him but who would be the one that protected him? Surely it would be a long and rigorous process to find one that was loyal only to him and could serve him to the best of their ability. Daikis mind wandered for a moment, thinking of knights in full uniform kneeling before him. To serve only him...loyal to him. Everyone was celebrating the reign of their generous and kind leader, a knight at his side as he stood at his throne and being crowned king. The knight smiled down at him and yet he saw no one at the throne beside him. He found his mind wandering a lot in recent times, unsure of himself in so many aspects of his life. He would need to find a bride eventually to continue the line...and yes he did like all of the woman he has met so far. But there was this nagging thought always in the back of his mind he could not place paired with his curiosity at the forbidden art he found himself studying at night. It seemed his problem with choosing a knight though would be solved as the elder knight Jean offered his own suggestion of the knight who could protect him. It seemed that he was suggesting the knight next to him as the one that should protect him. Silas... was he the best and most trustworthy of the knights? For being the one to suggest such a proposal, he should take his word and suggestion highly. "If he is the most trustworthy, then I see no need to search any further" Daiki said with a small nod of his head. "Thalion...You seemed a bit distraught or unsure of this matter. I will offer this honor to you myself" Daiki stood up and walked toward them. "You are certainly under no obligation but I would like you to stand at my side as my personal knight...If you shall accept it you will start tomorrow" Daiki said as he was able to get a closer look at the knight before him. A different appearance certainly with the braided hair and white streak, the piercings fascinating him. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Raychu
"I'm very honored you have decided to ask me to stand at your side and protect you. I just am uncertain about my answer at the moment. If you could give me the rest of the day to consider my options, that would help me decide what to do. As a knight, it is my duty to protect you, however, I'm unsure if I am the strongest out of the other men. I may be faithful, my strength does not compare to many, including Sir Jean. I'll return tomorrow with my answer," Silas said in a meek tone. He was basically denying the prince's offer, in a roundabout way. It was out of turn for a mere knight to reject an offer from someone like the prince. He was flattered that his highness actually considered taking him in as the chosen knight, at the same time, what if he brought in more danger than protection. Silas did not want to be the one to endanger prince Daiki, he would never be able to forgive himself. Which is why it was better to avoid the castle at all cost rather than put a man everyone loved at risk. "Even if Silas does not take you up on your generous offer, I will assure you will have the best knight by tomorrow. That is, only if he declines. Now, if we may be excused, there is business to attend," Jean said loud and clear, bowing. Grabbing his ex-student by the hand, he pulled Silas out with him. This old man was a good for nothing knight. How could he even suggest something so ridiculous. Was he not aware this could harm the prince even more than just an attempted kidnapping? Having someone who lacked fortune may only make his wonderful life turn sour. Silas would not be the result of that. "Now, let us go drink at the tavern my boy. We must celebrate this!" Celebration? That could make the younger knight laugh. This was no celebration, far from it, this was nothing but sadness and frustration. How could his mentor be so irresponsible? Clearly other men were suited for the job. Sitting at the tavern, Silas sighed, getting down on himself. He couldn't believe what happened today. It was hard to place this as a stroke of luck or another series of misfortune. Either way, he would be showing up with another knight by his side, to reject the kind offer. Even so, the younger knight couldn't deny how nice it seemed to be in the castle. Surely he would get paid more money and be able to buy more delicious foods. He wouldn't have to worry about trivial things like saving money to buy clothes or get his lance repaired. Even with all the wonderful things that came with this job, he couldn't deny how risky it was as well. Many unexplained events could begin to happen in the castle just because he stepped foot inside. Jean was more suited for the job than Silas, at least he could properly fight and wouldn't do something stupid like drop his weapon. That was a daily problem for the younger man. Nothing was good about this idea. "My boy! Don't be so glum! You have been given an opportunity of a lifetime. Because of a wonderful knight if I don't say so myself," the drunk men said with glee. Smacking the younger man on the back, he gave a heart laugh, sipping from the class. Silas wasn't a fan of drinking, it only left him more drowsy than usual, and a killer migraine. "Jean, don't you think someone else is more suited for the job than I? You gave me all the glory and told white lies. I do not wish to be trapped in a web, unable to escape from your deceiving stories. You arrested the kidnappers, not me, I was in the prince's stead. That is nothing but a humiliating experience. Wouldn't you prefer someone to watch him and secure his safety?" Silas wanted to avoid being the cause as much as possible. If he could continue helping from the sidelines, he was more than happy. That didn't mean getting close and personal with the prince. He preferred his freedom. Being on a strict schedule may become dreadful. "No one is better than you Silas! Trust yourself, as many trust you. Loyalty and devotion lead to bravery. Many of the other men do not understand that, and would change their heart when presented with a few gold coins. You are the only one who is trustworthy enough to stand by the prince's side. Don't make me look wrong to a great man, prove me right, and show you are not a coward because of a curse," the old man rambled. Even in a drunken state, his mentor's words got through to him. He had a way that helped the younger male understand. No one else could be trusted. The next day, Silas forced himself to rise early, and headed straight for the castle. He now knew his answer. He was going to be the knight who saved the prince from the danger's that lie within the castle. Even if he was a danger of his own. Perhaps his misfortune would be the opposite and continue to make the prince happy with luck. Either way, the young knight now knew he couldn't run away from his curse forever. Avoiding people wouldn't change his destiny, and this curse would never be lifted. He needed to prove he was a good man, in hopes the witch would one day see he is nothing like his parents, and deserves a chance at a real life, without the magic making every moment difficult. "Your highness, it would be my greatest honor to be the knight you choose to stand beside your throne. I may not be strong or wise, I am faithful, and will never cause you dismay as long as I can protect you," Silas said in a more confident tone, kneeling before the prince, finding himself once again in the throne room. He would prove his mentor right. He owed the great man that much. To retire with a reputation that will outlive him, and let him be remembered as wise and intelligent. virtualoo
Daiki raised an eyebrow in a bit of confusion as the knight Silas started to speak again but told him he did not consider himself the strongest. Silas wanted to consider his options and think about it....And this was not a guarantee of his acceptance of the position. It certainly confused him to be told no for something like this, giving a knight a position of power to be a personal protector! But after offering such a position, one would want to...think over his options? This certainly was a turn of events he did not expect. "I am sure you will be fine but I suppose I can understand. You are both dismissed.." Daiki said with a small smile and a nod, watching as the two knights left the courtroom. "What a curious individual..." Daiki said out loud to himself. Perhaps it was more a sense of..what was the word? Modest? Perhaps Silas was modest of his own abilities and wanted to be certain that he was capable of a position. A person of power had just asked him to serve as a personal knight to stand by his side. Surely he would want to be sure of himself and that he was well prepared to be in such a position, get his affairs in order or other such matters like that. That seemed to make sense to him as Daiki nodded to himself in assurance of this train of thought. Daiki managed to occupy himself until much later that evening, sneaking off into the depths of the castle. He pushed a door open, closing it behind him as he went into a room that was in a part of the castle rarely occupied or used. He went toward a bookshelf, pulling out a book he managed to procure, a book about the forbidden arts of sorcery. His curiosity got the better of him one day and he had found this book, taking it into the castle and hiding it within this room. It was a book that spoke of sorcery and many more subjects that he had yet to dwell into. He read through its pages and made attempts at some of the pages of the book, managing to with one page to create a flicker of a flame in his palm. It was only for a second, like a flickering candle, but it was progress! Daiki smiled to himself, returning the book to its hidden position and started to go back to his bedroom to sleep for the evening. Daiki woke up early the next morning, expecting the knight to return with his answer. Even if not, he surely had a lot of other matters to attend to in that day. Finding more traitors and reassuring himself of others loyalty was important but he would need to find a new knight should Silas not accept. If Silas did accept, Daiki felt he should get to know the other if he was to serve besides him. Sure enough, later in the throne room, Silas was kneeling before him, accepting the position of his knight. "I am glad to see you accepted...With recent events, I do wish to get to know you if you are to be alongside me" Daiki said as he stood up from his throne. "We shall walk and talk, so you will know your way around the castle for a variety of reasons" He nodded as he waited for the other to get up. Raychu
Silas understood that the other was weary of his presence. Understably, so many traitors began to grow in the castle, causing him to take caution. If it was the knight in his shoes, he most likely would lock himself in a room, and hide away for as long as possible. That’s close to how he behaves now, running from his misfortune as much as possible. The knight understood there was a job to do, which was the only reason he dared to face this curse head on, along with the problems it brought. There was no reason to fear. Just keep thinking that, and he’d be able to continue his duties as if nothing was wrong. “Understood, your grace.” Standing, he kept his posture straight, remaining appropriate in front of the prince. This was odd for the knight. He rarely ever had to approach the royal family in general. It was understatement to say this was just odd. Remaining the respectable stance was just difficult as it was. He had a bad habit of slouching, and forcing his back to straighten caused slight irritation. In time that would change and this would become natural, that was then, this was now. Being around the prince just made him feel inferior and out of place. Was this the intimidation of being near royalty? It was suffocating. “Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Once again, I’m honored you considered me an option. Though hesitant in the beginning, you have my full loyalty and dedication now. Forgive me for being to off putting towards a gracious offer,” Silas said, giving a slight bow. It just felt like he needed to continuously thank this man. Even being considered as an option was worthy alone. To be the knight at his highness’ side? That was an absolute gift. The only problem was that this was a misfortunate event instead of an honor. No! No more worrisome thoughts. This will be fine. The knight couldn’t let his emotions and worries get the better of him. He was going to make this happen. At all costs, he would protect the prince, even with his own life. That didn’t say he was ready to die, he wasn’t. He was just ready to sacrifice himself for a duty he was sworn to for life. virtualoo
Daiki watched as the other assume a more fitting posture in front of him upon standing up. He did not know why but it seemed as if the other was forcing himself to stand up straight rather than it come naturally to him. It must all be in his head...Daiki thought for that was not an issue that was in the forefront of his mind. If this individual was supposed to become his personal knight, he would need to obtain more knowledge about this individual Silas. And the opposite should be true for the knight to know more about him. More so, his personal routine and surroundings so that he can always remain as a vigilant eyed knight. "Come then....I suppose we will be getting to know a lot about each other over the course of our time together" Daiki started to speak as he started down one of the corridors of the castle. "I suppose their should be proper introductions. I suppose...Oh where to even start.." Daiki put a finger to his chin in thought like he usually does when he concentrates and thinks about something. "Is there anything of relevance about yourself you feel would be suited to speak about at the moment regarding our arrangement? Any skills you feel might be of benefit..or perhaps downfalls I should be made aware of...like a ill stomach to certain foods or minor things like that? I would certainly not want my knight collapsing due to a spill with some aged cheese or something silly" Daiki spoke with a small chuckle. "Regardless, I suppose if you had any burning questions for me, now would be the time to ask these questions. I will allow for this short time for you to ask anything of me regardless of the topic. Rather to get this out of the way now rather than have many questions later" Daiki waved his hand casually as he stopped for a brief moment to look up at a painting of his father in the main corridor. Will he ever be as great of a king as his father was? He wanted to be a person who was looked upon with love and admiration. Someone who can lead this kingdom with love and not be feared for being an unreasonably cruel man. He was but a prince and people sought to kidnap him despite this kindness he showed others. Was his kindness...was this his own weakness? No...He had luck on his side and surely this will bring fortune in the end. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.
