Rumpleteaser
It would be really nice to have a place for general conversations. The chat rooms are great for instant messaging but it would be nice to have something long term. It would mean people could come and go from group conversations and check back later. It would be a great place to hang out!
Rumpleteaser
Actually, scrap this suggestion. The General Talk forum is pretty much that, it just hasn't been used as a hangout yet.
voide
I've been stalking other forums (haha..) and saw that some of them are using discord to communicate. It looks like a great platform... but not so sure.
Key
Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Yeah, but they don't have other chat systems. We do have a paid chat system, it provides both one-on-one chat and group chat, also file sharing, gif integration, video chat, so I don't think we should give up on it for a free chat system that is especially designed for gaming, not for forums, as the one we have. Also, the other chat system is not integrated with the site, one has to go on that chat site and make an account there, they cannot discuss with the account they have made on the forums. voide
Thanks for the info Key. Yeah, I tried one discord today (BL scanlation group from tumblr). It's okay, but just like you mentioned here, there are disadvantages. And I think what you guys have here is way better. Thanks again!
geek
If I can give my two cents Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. and Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. , I'm such a fan of YO but I find it very hard to check back on the forum when I'm traveling (which I do monthly, sometimes more). Since I'm mobile and rely on my phone a lot (like now), there's just a lot of pop-up ads (spam?) I get when checking in on the YO forum and the Tapatalk app doesn't work for me (it prompts something with scripts and non-integration).. and it kinda reflects on my participation / activity here. (I missed the Christmas tree by a few hours! (/□\*)・゜Timezone! Roar!) Would you consider opening a Discord channel even if it's purely for discussion purposes only? I'd love to interact more with forum members, too, but end up just clicking "❤︎" ... but that's just me haha Also, because of ads and redirect, typing this reply on my mobile phone / Safari window took an hour (´∩`。)
Key
Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Thank you very much for your feedback! I'm sorry if you get redirects or popups on YO, as we don't use any popups on the site. Please send me a PM with information regarding your location, your browser, the thread/threads where you get redirected and please provide print screens as well so I can report to the ad company. As for the chat system, we have a paid chat system, which has both general chat and one-on-one chat. If you want to chat to YO members you can freely do so on the general chat, as it doesn't have absolutely any ad. As for Tapatalk, we disabled it exactly because it lately implemented ads for users. I'll be waiting for your PM. (:
geek
Hi Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. , sorry I flew out that morning and just got to my laptop now and even when I'm on my mobile phone, I don't get the same problem anymore.. does it have anything to do with being a contributor? (ー_ーゞ That's the only thing that's different, that and the WiFi provider.
Key
Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. No, it doesn't have to do anything with being a contributor. It might be the Internet provider or the browser (if it had some weird apps/extensions installed). Anyway, glad to hear you don't have the problem anymore (:
